Ervin Kuehl
Erivn Kuehl, 77, Suring, died at his home on Manday August 28, 2000. He was born in Breed Township to the late William and Meta Rueckert Kuehl on December 31, 1922. Ervin married June Frost on June 15, 1946. The couple lived their entire married life on the Kuehl homestead in Breed. Erivn had graduated from the Suring High School Class of 1940, having perfect attendance and ranking 5th in the Class. He cut pulp and operated the family dairy for nearly 20 years. Ervin also had numerous Christmas Tree Farms. For many years he and his wife sold trees from the homestead. Later Ervin was employed by Oconto County for 20 years until retiring. He was a supervisor and organized planting of plantations on County Land. Ervin enjoyed his animals, feeding deer, fishing, his dog and being outside. Survivors include his sister, Edna Ponsegrau, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio; his two sisters-in-law, Hilda Kuehl, of Clintonville, Myra Leonard Orlando, of Crivitz; his niece, Marilyn Jon Kement, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio. Ervin was preceded in death by his wife on August 25, 2000, and his brother, Emil, in 1998. Graveside services were held at Breed Union Cemetery 2 p.m. Thursday August 31, 2000 with Pastor Paul A. Scheunemann officiating. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed.

June A. Kuehl
June A. Kuehl, 72, Highway 32, Suring died at her home Friday, August 25, 2000. She was born in Mountain to the late Andrew and Clair Aldrich Frost on June 29, 1920. June married Ervin Kuehl June 15, 1946. She was a very accomplished rug weaver and won 2nd place prize at the Wisconsin State Fair in 1995. June had been an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed for many years. Survivors include her husband Ervin; her sister and brother-in-law, Myra Leonard Orlando, of Crivitz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers Lyle, Delbert and Guy. Visitation was held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Monday, August 28, 2000 beginning at 1 p.m. Funeral services were 2 p.m. with Pastor Paul A. Scheuenemann officiating. Burial in Breed Unoin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed.

Adam Lee Rymer
Adam Lee Rymer, 10, of Gillett died Saturday September 2, 2000 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. Adam was born August 8, 1990 in Marinette to Stevn and Ann Estep Rymer. Adam loved all sports especially football, baseball and fishing. Adam is survived by his parents Steven and Ann; one brother, Travis Rymer; grandparents, Dorothy Estep, Doug and Irene Rymer all of Lena; great-grandparents, Lorraine Konkel, Doug Rymer, Ethel Bauer and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Oconto Gospel Chapel, Oconto, from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday September 8, 2000. Funeral services will be conducted 11a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Bob Schut officiating and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.

Earl Richard Frewerd
Earl Richard Frewerd, 33, of Pensaukee, died September 1, 2000 at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls. Earl was born May 1, 1967 in Green Bay to Richard and Judy Girard Frewerd. Earl served in the U.S. Ary from 1985 to 1992. Earl is survived by his parents Richard and Judy Frewerd; one daughter, Angylee Frewerd, Green Bay; one son, James Rynolds, Peshtigo; one brother, Paul Kim Frewerd, Oconto; one sister, Ruth Chris Fouty, Oconto; grandfather, Raymond Frewerd; godmother, Mary Girard McNulty, and special friend, Ann Rymer, Oconto. Earl was preceded in death by his grandparents Doris Frewerd, Harold Girard and Mae Girard Light. The family will recieve relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday September 5, 2000. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 6, 11a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Beck officiating and burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post.

Theodore John Martineau
Theodore John Martineau, 64, died of a heart attack on Tuesday, August 29, 2000, while jogging near his home in Oak Brook, Illinois. He was born on March 6, 1936 in Oconto, Wisconsin and graduated from Oconto High School in 1954. One of his early accomplishments was playing 108 consecutive holes of golf at the age of 13 -- a Wisconsin State record that stood for over 40 years. Mr. Martineau graduated with honors from the Unversity of Wisconsin at Madison in 1958, where he was a member of the Student council and R.O.T.C. He served in the Army at Fort Euslis, Virginia; in Thule, Greenland; and as an instructor at West Point. He then entered Harvard Law School and graduated in 1963, becoming an attorney like his father and grandfather before him. Mr. Martineau began his legal practice with the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C. during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. As Chairman of Arlingtonians for a Better County, he helped to end racial segregation in the suburban Washington public school system and public swimming pools. In 1967, he entered private practice and became a partner with the firm of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll in Philadelphia Phillies baseball team. He then represented the P.H. Glatfelter Co., a national paper company, until 1997. He married the former Susan H. Urban in 1958, they are divorced in 1981. Ted and Susan had four children. Mr. Martineau was remarried in 1984 to Sharon A. Hogan, and they moved to the Chicago suburbs in 1990. Mr. Martineau was one of the first Democrats to join the Union Legue Club while living in Gladwyne, Pennsaylvaina. He was a scratch golfer and a tournament bridge player in his youth, and especially enjoyed reading, running and trekking in Mountain Ranges all over the world. He had recently returned from a two-week trek with his wife in the swiss Alps. Surviving are his wife Sharon A. Hogan, Dean of Libraries at the University of Illinois-Chicogo; his father, the Honorable James A. Martineau of Marinette, Wisconsin; his sblings, Attorney James P. Martineau of Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A.F. Colonel, Retired, Pete martineau of Sacramento, California. Also surviving are his children: Attorney Daniel J. Martineau of Aspen, Colorado and Eleanor S. Martineau, a writer in Berkeley, California; as well as his grandchildren Oliver, Nicholas, Grace and Peter, all of Aspen, Colorado. Friends called at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 917 Church St., Marinette from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 2, 2000. Funeral service was 11a.m. at the church with the Rev. William Bippus officiating. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto entrusted with the care of funeral arrangements. Mr. Martineau was burined Saturday, next to his two decesed sons - David 1966 and John 1984 in the Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto, Wisconsin.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, Oak Brook Terrace, 1 South 415 Summit Avenue, Villa Park, Illinois 60181.

John J. Kinziger
John J. Kinziger, 47, Lena, died Friday, August 25, 2000 at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls. He was born to John L. and Marie Glime Kinziger April 9, 1953 in Lena. John owned and operated the Hunters and Fishermans Bar in Lena for 24 years. He also coached basketball for Grade School and High School and served as President of the Lena Wildcat Booster Club for many years. John enjoyed golfing, Packer games and spending time with his friends. Surviving are his wife, Laurie Kinziger; one son, Jeff Krista Kinziger, Green Bay; one daughter, Katie Kinziger, Appleton; his mother, Marie Kinziger, Lena; two brothers, Bill Nelson, Fence; and father-in-law, Jack Kowalczyk, Lena. John was preceded in death by his father, John L. Kinziger. Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena. A wake service was held. The funeral Mass was 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena with Father Frank Schrage officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Of The Lakes Cemetery, Lakewood.

Pearl Lenore Eggert
Pearl Lenore Eggert, a resident of Woodland Village, Suring died at Woodland August 26, 2000. She was born March 17, 1916 to Joseph and Lora Hammond Senn in the Village of Lena. She married Arnold E. Eggert on June 22, 1935 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gillett. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1980. Pearl was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Maple Valley. Pearl lived most of her life in the Gillett area. She was a 4-H leader and did Home Health Care. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, gardening and raising chickens. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Ronald Hicks, Suring; daughter-in-law, Marianne Eggert, Kenosha; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bardella Gorman, New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Esther Senn, Lois Schmidt, Rose Senn, Dorothy Eggert and Theresa Madsen. Pearl was preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Judd; one son, Norbert Eggert; one sister, Hazel Hephner, and brothers, Joseph Jr., Arthur, Norman, Marvin and Willard. Private funeral services were held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring with Pastor Russel Kampfer officiating. Burial in Maple Valley Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial will be established.

Edward J. Hrabik
Edward J. Hrabik, 58, Oconto Falls, died Saturday morning, August 26, 2000 at a Green Bay hospital the day after having a brain aneurysm. He was born January 25, 1942 in Oconto Falls to Joseph and Lorraine Coopman Hrabik. he grew up in Oconto Falls where he attended St. Anthony's Catholic grade school and later public schools, graduating from high school with the class of 1960. As a young man he entered the U.S. Army National Guard and served in the Guard and Reserves for over 28 years. On July 31, 1962 he married Arwyn Merrill in the state of Washington. Ed lived in Oconto Falls for most of his life where he was employed at the local Scott Paper Co. for over 30 years. He was presently employed at Marinette Marine. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Oconto Falls American Legion Post. He is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Edward J. Jr. and Pat Hrabik, Peewaukee; Darryl Hrabik, Milwaukee; Donald Hrabik, Valders; four grandchildren; five brothers, Ray Hope Hrabik, David and twin brother, Dan Diane Hrabik, all of Oconto Falls; Joe Joan Hrabik, Jim Hrabik all of Oconto; close friend, Dorothy Doyle, Oconto Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert and a nephew, Steven Hrabik. Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls after 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services. Funeral services 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

Emma Koeppen
Emma Koeppen, 97, Gillett, died peacefully Saturday morning, August 26, 2000 at the Gillett Nursing Home. She was born June 26, 1903 in the Town of Underhill to the late August and Emelia Spreeman Kobs. On September 22, 1925, Emma married Elensen C. Koeppen at White Clay Lake with Pastor Braun officiating. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett. She was also a member of the LWML. Emma enjoyed gardening and was fond of her flowers. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jeanette Koeppen Lambrecht, Gillett; nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Lorraine Radke, Oconto Falls. Emma was also preceded in death by her two sons, Wilbur and Eugene; five brothers, Paul, Emil, Robert, Herbert and Arthur Kobs; and one sister, Elsie Wolff and a special niece, Esther Brunette. Friends called at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2000 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett, with Deacon Ralph Beversdorf officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett.
