Martha I. Kafehl, 89
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church for Martha I. Kafehl, 89, who died on Oct. 15, 1999.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Rev. Dale Erickson will officiate at the ceremony, with funeral arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Ms. Kafehl was born Jan. 22, 1910 in Cedarburg daughter of John and Olga (nee Weber) Kafehl.
He worked as a homemaker and attended Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
She is survived by cousins and friends.
Gordon L. Leavens, 58
Gordon L. Leavens of West Bend died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital at the age of 58.
He was born on Jan. 8, 1941 in Bloomer to Clarence and Louisa (nee Libersky) Leavens, and was married to RoseAnn Rauscher in Bloomer on July 7, 1962.
Gordon was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend, The Touring Classic’s Car Club and at the time of his death was on disability leave as plant manager of the plastics division of Regal Ware.
He is survived by his wife, RoseAnn; two children, Dawn Traindl of West Bend and John (Jenn) Leavens of Watertown; four grandchildren Brandon Leavens, Jesse Leavens, Samantha Leavens and Kelsey Traindl; his mother, Louisa Leavens of Bloomer; two sisters, Sharon (Kevin) Berg of Wasilla, Ark. and Charlene Geissler of Bloomer; two brothers, Curtis (Sandy) Leavens of Bloomer and LaVerne (Jane_ Leavens of Bloomer; his father-in-law, Bernard Rauscher of Bloomer; a brother-in-law, Charles (Carol) Rauscher of Chippewa Falls; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
A Memorial Mass was held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Rev. Jeffrey Haines presiding.
The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.
Delores E. Koller, 61
Delores E. Koller, nee Breuer, 61, of West Bend, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at her residence.
She was born May 27, 1938, in the town of Addison, to the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Loosen) Breuer, was raised in Rubicon and graduated from St. John's Catholic High School in 1956.
After her marriage to Richard N. "Dick" Koller on Sept. 7, 1963, at St. John's Church, Rubicon, the couple lived in West Bend where she was employed at The West Bend Co. for over five years.
Later she was employed at USI of West Bend for over 15 years.
Delores was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved to travel, hike and was an avid bridge player.
She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Karen (John) Sauer of Sussex, Robert (Jackie) of West Bend and Kathy (Randy) Handel and Kelly (Tony) Barth, both of Sun Prairie; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Connor, Lisa, Sam, Erica, Mary Kate and Hayden; six sisters, Viola (William "Richie") Klink of 29 Palms, Calif., Rose (Ray) Krebs of St. Lawrence, Georgiann (Sylvester) Kreuser of Hartford, Mildred "Mickey" (Bob) D'Acquisto of Franklin, Lucille (Don) Buchmann of Rubicon and Judith Kuehl of Iron Ridge; a sister-in-law Janet Breuer of 29 Palms, Calif.; three brothers, Joe (Judy), Norbert "Butch" (Pam) and Ronald (Jean), all of Rubicon; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was a brother, John.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, at 7:30 p.m., at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. Father Gerald Brittain will officiate, and interment of ashes will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angel's Cemetery, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Oscar A. Beder, 79
Oscar A. Beder, 79, of Jackson, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
He was born Jan. 29, 1920, in Slinger, to the late Anton and Mathilda (nee Hassinger) Beder, and married Rita T. Spaeth on April 29, 1944, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.
Oscar owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Polk until retiring. He enjoyed dancing with his wife, fishing, gardening, wine making and was an avid sports fan, a snowbird to Texas, and devoted family man.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Slinger and the Legion of Mary Rosary Society.
Survivors include his wife; 11 children, Anthony (Alice), Mary Beder, Michael (Janet), Gerald, Kathleen (Stuart) Wiedmeyer, Anne (William) Wenninger, Robert (Theresa), Dennis, Mark, Joseph (Julie) and Janice (Douglas) Yee; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Krebs; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were daughter Darlene; son, Richard; and two brothers, Jacob and Edgar.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Dec. 27, at 8 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Father Robert J. Bales will officiated, and interment was at (Old) St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Slinger, on Dec. 28 at 10 a.m.
Visitation was at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until the Mass.
The Phillip Funeral Home of Slinger, is assisting the family.
Raymond A. Beine
We wish to thank relatives, neighbors and friends for their love showed my husband and our father, Raymond A. Beine, during his long illness with their visits to our home and at the hospital and at the time of his recent death. Our sincere gratitude for all who expressed sympathy through phone calls, cards and flowers.
Special thanks to the Ashippun Rescue Squad and Dionne Eske for personal calls.
We are most appreciative of the service extended the family by Hartford and Oconomowoc ambulances as well as Dr. Eric Weber, Hartford Memorial Hospital and hospice staff and to Dr. Michael Petrie, Fr. Paul Weishar, Dr. David Verhasselt and Fr. Mark DeVellis who supported us during this trying time and prepared Raymond for his way to his heavenly home as well as the neighboring congregations who kept him in their prayers.

Otto P. Stifter, 85
A funeral service was held yesterday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for Otto P. Stifter, 85, who died on Oct. 15, 1999.
Fr. Mike Barrett officiated at the ceremony with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton.
Mr. Stifter was born March 15, 1914 in Austria son of Paul and Amalia (nee Leonhart) Stifter.
He married Dolores Thelen on June 10, 1939 in Wisconsin.
He was one of the founding scout masters of both the Grafton Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop; a charter parent of GHS Boosters, Grafton School Board member, Lions Club member and member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Congregation.
He was a master teacher and head of the graphic arts department at MATC.
He also designed and executed the signage for Grafton’s Lime Kiln Park.
Survivors include: wife Dolores Stifter, Port Washington; sons Ronald (Patricia) Stifter, Saukville, James (Jeredith) Stifter, San Francisco, Calif., Jerry (Gail) Stifter, Greenville, Randall (Bev Shrier) Stifter, Waunakee; sister Laurie (Douglas) Pares, Germantown; grandchildren Becky (Chris), Heidi (Alex), Rachel, Ellen, Amalia, Julianna, Jenny, Lindsey, Shannon Shrier, Roni-Jo Shrier, AshDee, Ali; great-grandchildren Sarah, Zachary, Caleb, Benjamin and Abigail.
Malinda Kasten, 82
A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, for Malinda Kasten, 82, who died on Dec. 13, 1999. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m.
Rev. Dale Erickson will officiate at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Burial will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Ms. Kasten was born March 15, 1917 in Cedarburg, daughter of John and Leona (nee Keup) Kasten.
She worked as a homemaker and attended Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: sister Myrtle (Elroy) Krause of Germantown; niece Mary Lynn (Vernon) Prost.
She is further survived by 4 great-nephews, 1 great-great-niece, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church are appreciated.
Milton F. Kopp, 85
A funeral service was held on Oct. 19, 1999 at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson for Milton F. Kopp, 85, who died on Oct. 16, 1999. Rev. Paul Reede officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Schmidt Funeral Home.
Burial was at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Mr. Kopp was born March 8, 1914 in Mequon son of George and Augusta (nee Stranedt) Kopp.
He was involved with farming in Mequon until 1956, then he became employed at Rostae Aluminum Corp. in Grafton as a finisher until 1982.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Slinger.
Survivors include: brother Edgar (Marie) Kopp, Ixonia; sister Irene (Leo) Mundt, Glendale.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Melvin Kopp, half-brothers Alfred Kopp, Walter Kopp, Harley Mar and Bernard Marr; half-sisters Evelyn Wilson and Edna Huelse.

Harold J. Ebert, 75
Harold J. Ebert of Hartford passed away on Friday, Dec. 17, 1999 at Hartford Memorial Hospital.
He was 75 years old.
He was born Nov. 9, 1924 in Hartford to Edwin and Effie (Hamms) Ebert.
He married Mary Werner on Nov. 26, 1946 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Slinger.
Harold graduated from Hartford High School in 1942.
He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps in the European theater.
He was employed at Kraft Foods and later at Midas International, retiring in 1977.
Harold was a member of VFW Post 8834 and St. Kilian’s Church.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening and cooking.
He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Linda (Richard) Fieweger; two sons, Bob and Gary (Kay); six grandchildren, Kevin, Craig, Amy, Jason, Janay and Kaitlin; and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Anthony and Benjamin.
Harold is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Eugene; sister LaVerne McGreal; and two children, Laura Marie and Michael.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church with Father John Grennon officiating.
The family greeted relatives and friends at the Shimon Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m., and interment was at St. Kilian’s Cemetery.
The family was served by the Shimon Funeral Home.
