Lorraine Crass, 69
Lorraine Crass, nee Maihofer, 69, of Lomira, formerly of Wild Rose, passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
She was born April 22, 1930, in Evanston, Ill., to the late Richard and Clara (nee Dunkel) Maihofer Sr., and graduated in 1948 from Wild Rose High School.
She married Douglas Sage on June 8, 1952, and worked as a bookkeeper, accountant and business manager for most of her life, in both Rice Lake and Wautoma.
She and her family owned and operated the Mount Morris Motel in the late 1960s, and she was active in the Order of the Eastern Star in Wautoma.
She married Lee Crass on April 23, 1983, in Stephenson, Mich. and enjoyed her retirement years in their northwoods home, and later in Fond du Lac, where she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Lorrie was a prolific writer, and wrote many feature articles for her hometown newspapers, including most recently, the Fond du Lac Reporter.
She enjoyed nature and gardening, reading and writing, traveling and craftwork. She especially loved spending time with her grandson, Aaron.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Roger (Clare) Sage of Madison; a daughter, Karen Sage of Oshkosh; a stepdaughter, Karen Ten Haken of Sheboygan; a grandson, Aaron Sage of Madison; her twin sister, Loretta (Sterling) Waala of Wild Rose, ; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Genevieve Mullins and Elaine Rychtanek; a brother, Richard Maihofer Jr.; and two nieces, Claire and Theresa Maihofer.
Memorial services will be held Monday, Nov. 1 at 1:30 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home, Wild Rose. Rev. Dan Leeds will officiate, and interment of her urn will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Wild Rose.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Jerry David Austin, 56
Jerry David Austin, 56, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, in Green Bay.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian of Algoma; four daughters, Debra Kay Schuett of Starbuck, Minn., Laura Lynn (Danny) Olson of Starbuck, Denise Ann (Richard) Wolf of Glenwood, Minn. and Heather Marie (Eric) Stauff of West Bend; two brothers, Vincent of Sioux City, Iowa and Vernon (Sara) of Bloomington, Minn.; two sisters, Loretta (Merrill) Baier of Carroll, Neb. and Lorraine Svatos of Niobrara, Neb.; nine grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Carvana Austin and Gerald Austin and his grandparents.
Memorial services will be held Monday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home, 200 E. Sixth St., Morris, Minn. Pastor Bruce Nelson will officiate, and burial will be in Fron Lutheran Cemetery, Starbuck.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Robert F. Lindemann, 72
Robert F. Lindemann of Rubicon, passed away on Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, at Hartford Memorial Hospital, Hartford, at the age of 72.
He was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Milwaukee, to the late August and Victoria (nee Kozlowski) Lindemann, and married Dolores Schmitt on June 20, 1953, at St. John's Catholic Church, Rubicon.
Robert worked as a mason tender for Local 113.
He was a member of St. John's Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus, and enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bob Jr., Anthony (Jane), Jeffrey (fiancee Charlotte) and Matthew, all of Rubicon; six daughters, Susan (fiance Tim) Ciriacks of West Bend, Carol (Bill) Huss of Sussex, Katharine (Jeff) Zuern, Ann (Michael) Bohn and Christine Berger, all of Hartford and Mary (Mike) Neu of Neosho; 15 grandchildren, Jason Ciriacks, Jared and Allison Huss, Adrianne Jennifer and Brittany Zuern, Bobby, Amanda, Mitchell, Eric, Brandon Courtney and Stephanie Bohn, Michael and Emily Berger; a brother, August (Jane) of Brookfield a brother-in-law, Jim Hackett of Milwaukee; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Lorraine Hackett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Rubicon. Fr. Franklyn Becker will officiate and interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
The family will greet friends and relations at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, on Monday from 2 to 6:45 p.m.
Memorials to St. John's Church are appreciated.

Mary C. Gerstmann
Mary Catherine Gerstmann, 56, of Denton, Neb. died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, in Racine.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1942 in Racine and attended Sheridan Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Neb. She was the former owner of Parkers Steakhouse in Denton, Neb.
She is survived by a son, Jonathan David (Tina) Gerstmann of Brighton, Colo.; a daughter Katherine Ann of Denton, Neb.; three grandchildren Kalyn Marie Gerstmann, Wade Garret Gerstmann and Andrea Meza; a gentleman friend Leonard L. George of Lincoln, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her parents August and Clara (Wendorf) Nelson.
Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 30 at 9 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln, Neb.
Interment Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Memorial Park Chapel in Milwaukee.
Memorials made be made to the family.

Raymond J. Herriges, 61
Raymond J. Herriges 61, of Boltonville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee.
He was born Nov. 23, 1937, in St. Michaels, to the late Math and Leocadia (Wilger) Herriges, and on Nov. 26, 1960, married Arlene Knutson at St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michaels. His wife passed away Dec. 18, 1997.
Mr. Herriges served his country in the U.S. Navy and was discharged in 1958. He owned Herriges Firewood, was a life-long member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michaels, and was an honorary member of the Boltonville Fire Department.
Survivors include nine brothers, Jerome (Rosalie) of West Bend, Joseph (Ethel) of Newburg, Sylvester of Kewaskum, Francis (Eleanor) of West Bend, Clemence (Edith) of Arizona, Gerald (Fran) of Sheboygan Falls, Donald (Joyce) of New Fane, Andrew (Joyce) of Adell and Albert (Sandy) of St. Michaels.; four sisters, Rita Speath of Milwaukee, Lucille Kalb of Florida Kathleen (Bill) Tills of Muldoon, Neb. and Evelyn Herriges of Marshall, La.; a stepson, Randy Knutson of Crooked Lake; two step-granddaughters, Nicole West and Corrine Ludwig; four step-great-grandchildren; many niece, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michaels. Father Robert Artmann will officiate, and burial with military graveside rites will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John of God Catholic Church Cemetery, town of Farmington.
Visitation at the church only will be Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home Kewaskum, is serving the family.

Ruth J. LeMahieu
Ruth J. LeMahieu, nee Buehler, 87, of West Bend, died Friday Oct. 29, 1999, at the Cedar lake Health Care Center in West Bend at the age of 87.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1912 in Sheboygan County to the late Garret and Hannah (nee Mulder) Buehler and she married Lloyd LeMahieu on May 27, 1937 in Sheboygan Falls. Her husband preceded her in death on July 19, 1997.
She was an active member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, West Bend, belonging to the choir and Ladies Aid.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Larry) Chase of West Bend, a son Dan (Mary Hummel) LeMahieu of Wilmette, Ill.; four grandchildren, Scott (Terese) Chase of Germantown, Brian (fiancee Lori Conrad) Chase of Waukesha, Peter (Stacy) Chase of Woodberry, Minn., and Anna LeMahieu of Wilmette, Ill.; a sister, Cynthia Huenink of Sheboygan Falls; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob Buehler and Elmer Buehler, and a sister, Minnie Mentink.
Funeral services will be held on Monday Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, West Bend, with Rev. James Eckblad officiating. Burial will follow at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from noon until the time of services. Memorials to Immanuel United Church of Christ are appreciated.
The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.

Willard J. Meyer, 76
Willard J. Meyer, 76, of W 4687 Swan Acre Drive, Cecil, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999 at the Shawano Medical Center.
He was born April 17, 1923 at Plymouth, the son of the late Paul T. and Mathilda (Thede) Meyer.
He lived at Kewaskum for many years and moved to Legend Lake in 1973 where he was a building contractor until retiring. He moved to the Cecil area in 1997.
Willard enjoyed woodworking, gardening, flowers and feeding birds.
He married Theresa R. Buechel on April 4, 1945 at Jericho. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Shawano, and past member and director of the Legend Lake Property Owners Association.
Survivors include: his wife; two daughters, Kathleen Ann (Albert) Schulteis III and Sharon Ann (Gary) Schulteis, both of Richfield; two sons, Larry (Ruth) Meyer of Legend Lake and Paul (Bernice) Meyer of Neenah; nine grandchildren, Nancy (Scott) Rowe, Jennifer (Tim) Hardy, Terri Schulteis, Angela Schulteis, Jody Schulteis, Jeff Schulteis, Jon Schulteis, Jennifer Barker, and Jeffrey (Dawn) Barker; two great-grandchildren, Noah Hardy and Alyssa Barker; and brother Donald (Mary) Meyer of Ocean Park, Wash.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Shawano, with the Rev. Len Evers officiating. Entombment will be in the parish mausoleum. Friends may call at the Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano, on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday form 9 a.m. until the time the procession leaves for the church. There will be a parish wake service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Betty M. Pruitt, 76
Betty M. Pruitt, nee Schlueter, of Jackson, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, at the age of 76.
She was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Eden to the late Fred and Hazel (nee Gudex).
After her marriage to Earl "Rusty" Pruitt on June 26, 1943, in Milwaukee, they settled in Milwaukee. They then moved to Big Bend and since 1971 have lived in the town of Jackson.
Betty was an excellent cook. She was a devoted member of the Bible Baptist Church in West Bend where she was very active in The Senior Saints Bible Study Group and also the Ladies Fellowship.
Survivors include her husband; five children, Dennis (Judy) of West Allis, Wayne (Denise) of Sturtevant, Donald (Nancy) of Menomonee Falls, Robert (Jackie) of Campbellsport and Peggy Kaminski of Jackson; 11 grandchildren brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her death was a sister, Dolores Daniels.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Bible Baptist Church, West Bend. Pastor Jack Kaetterhenry will officiate, and burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson, will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., and also at the church on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
