Hans Lehmann, 81
Hans Lehmann, 81, of West Bend, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 16, 1918, to the late Wendel and Rosina (nee Wolf) Lehmann, and married Theresa H. Lemly on Aug. 16, 1941, at St. Ann's Church, Milwaukee.
Hans was a very dedicated husband, father and grandfather, and loved gardening, painting and bird watching.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Erich (Geri) of Hubertus, Paul (Carole) of Neosho and Rosemarie (Milton) Piontkowski of Iowa; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Katie and Alison Schmitt of Richfield and Carolyn Sue Lehmann of West Bend; a brother, Konrad (Milka); nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was a sister.
He was a member of the Catholic Knights for 52 years and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church. Father Michael Petersen will officiate, and interment will follow in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Memorials are appreciated to the Parkinson's Research Foundation.
The Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.

Paul A. Hengen
Paul A. Hengen of Hubertus died at his home Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999 at the age of 90.
He was born to Peter and Lydia (Love) Hengen on June 13, 1909 in Nebraska. He married Betty Paulus in Milwaukee.
He was a self-employed certified personal accountant for many years.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews throughout the United States. He was preceded in death by his wife and four brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Hubertus Catholic Church with Father Chuck Hanel officiating. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m.
The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.

Donald L. Kreitlow
Donald L. Kreitlow of Hartford died on Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999 at the Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was 67 years old.
He was born may 27, 1932 in Milwaukee to Walter and Lorraine (nee Kratz) Kreitlow. He married Kay Fodor on Nov. 23, 1952 at Hillside Presbyterian Church in New York.
Don was employed at Rexnord, Inc. for 33 years and part time at A.E.S. (Amateur Electronic Supply). He was a ham radio operator who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Kay of Hartford; sons Neil of Paris, France and Jim (Carmen) of Rhinelander; daughter Cyndee ( Mike) Little of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, Cory, Christine, Hallie, Justin, Colton and Kaylyn; mother Lorraine Kreitlow of West Allis. Don is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wally, and parents-in-law.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home with Rev. Verlin Wandrey officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
The family is served by Shimon Funeral Home.

Doris A. Diedrick
Doris A. Diedrick, nee Yoeckel, of Waupun passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999 at the University Hospital in Madison. She was 37 years old.
She was born April 20, 1962 in Hartford to Elmer and Jeanette (nee Christian) Yoeckel.
Doris was a 1979 graduate of the Hartford Union High School. She was an employee at the Dodge County Correctional Institution for the last few years.
Doris is survived by her fiance Michael Jutz of Waupun, her parents Elmer and Jeanette Yoeckel of Hartford, a brother Dale (Cindy) Yoeckel of Hartford, two nieces Becky and Angie, and her loving dog "Buddy." She is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov, 9 at 8 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford with Rev. Donald Koehn officiating. Visitation was at the Shimon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 from 8 p.m. Interment was at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Woodland.

Delores N. Peterson
Delores N. Peterson of Neosho passed away Saturday, Oct. 30 at Hartford Memorial Hospital at the age of 83 years old. She was born Dec. 26, 1915 in the township of Ashippun, daughter of Charlie and Theda Peterson.
Delores is survived by her sisters Eleanor (Hilbert) Kulke and Margaret Baumann, all of Neosho. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and by her sisters Bernice Peterson and Vera Wittenburg.
Delores was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Neosho. She lived in the Neosho area her whole life, many of those years with her sister, Eleanor. She retired from Chrysler Marine Corp. after 28 years of service.
Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 2 and the funeral took place at 2 p.m., both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Neosho, Rev. David Meister officiating. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Neosho.

Nicholas ‘Nick’ J. Becker
Nicholas ‘Nick’ J. Becker of the town of Erin, formerly of Random Lake, passed away Thursday, Oct. 28 at the age of 85.
Nick attended Random Lake High School and married Mildred Des Jarlias who preceded him in death in 1987. He was retired from the Globe Union Corp. where he worked as a mechanic. But, most of all, Nick’s job was to take care of God’s creatures; the hummingbirds, blue jays, and grackles; to live-trap the raccoon who had wandered too far and return it to its element; and to watch over the fawns as they grew to adulthood. Stray cats were never without food, winter birds found haven in Nick’s vigilance. As he worked the earth to produce food, he will now return to the earth that he loved and cared for over his years as God’s helping hand.
Nick is survived by his sister Agnes Anderson of Random Lake many nieces and nephews and his friend Diana Susitti and Family. He was further preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, John, Ed and Rose Becker, Anne Franzen and Clara Jacoby.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at Luko-Evert Funeral Home, 170 Warren Avenue, Hartland. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until the time of the services.

Robert “Bob” Buchholz, 41
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Nov. 28 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton for Robert “Bob” Buchholz, 41, who died on Nov. 23, 1999. Fr. Mike Barrett officiated at the ceremony, with Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton handling the arrangements. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Grafton.
Mr. Buchholz was born March 15, 1958 in Port Washington, son of Leo and Margie (nee Bienlein) Buchholz. He married Debbie Augustin on Nov. 28, 1981 at St. Peter’s Church in Port Washington.
He worked as a carrier for the U. S. Postal Service. Mr. Buchholz was also the second assistant chief with the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department, in which he was active for 16 years. He served as vice president of the Ozaukee County Fire Department Association.
Survivors include: wife Debbie Buchholz of Grafton; daughters Angela and Ashley Buchholz of Grafton; son Nicholas Buchholz of Grafton; sisters Darlene (Ken) Mitson of St. Charles, Ill., Diane (David) Denow of West Bend and Denise Buchholz of Grafton; brothers Richard (Linda) Buchholz of Grafton, Thomas (Jessie) Buchholz of Grafton and Steven (Lynn) Buchholz of Batavia, Ill.; mother-in-law Harriet Augustin of Port Washington; father-in-law Leonard Augustin of Port Washington; sisters-in-law Jean (Dick) Clark of Sturgeon Bay and Linda (Kent) Bergemann of Mequon; and brother-in-law Steve (Denise) Augustin of Menomonee Falls.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Bob and Debbie Buchholz’s children are appreciated.

Magdalena A. Pieper
Magdalena A. Pieper (nee Gerwing) of Mayville died Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 92 years old.
She was born Nov. 25, 1906 in Woodland to Gustav and Emma (nee Schultz) Gerwing. She married Alvin Pieper on June 4, 1930 at St. John’s Church in Woodland.
Magdalena worked for many years as a cook at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau. She had an avid green thumb and was an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by her son, Merlin (Ruth Ann) of Hustisford; three daughters, Mildred (Fred) Wenger of Iron Ridge, Evona Krueger of Florida, Darlene Kriegel of Fort Atkinson; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth, Erna, and Eleanor; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; an infant daughter; and a sister, Selma.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 30 at noon at the Shimon Funeral Home with Rev. Lichtenberg officiating. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove.

Hazel A. Hill, 72
Hazel A. Hill, nee Moore, of Jackson, went home to be with Christ at Christmas on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, at the age of 72.
She was born April 29, 1927, in Ashland, to the late Earl and Dorothy (nee Pederson) Moore, and married Reginald Hill on Feb. 9, 1947, in Ashland.
Following their marraige, the couple moved to Milwaukee where they lived until moving to Jackson in 1979.
She was employed at Wisconsin Pharmacal in Jackson for many years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ, Jackson, had a great love of music and was a gifted violinist.
Hazel was the beloved mother of four children, Rev. James (Sandi) of Jackson, William (Linda) of Rhinelander, Cheryl (Johnny) Wilks of Milwaukee and Brian of Jackson; loving grandmother of eight grandchildren, Katie (Brian) Zirbes, Brydie Hill, Michael Hill, Kassi Hill, Vicki Wilks, Jennifer Wilks, Jenene Wilks and Johnny Wilks Jr.; loving great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren, Monique, Brittany, Jonathan, Samara, Ashley, Charles, Elijah, Desiree and C.J., and dear sister of Leenie (Dick) Kuzzy, Joan (Emmett) Wolfgram, Don (Pat) Moore and James "Herbie" (Noreen) Moore, all of Ashland. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was an infant son, Charles.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 26, at 4 p.m. at New Hope United Church of Christ, Jackson, with Rev. Fred Bretsch officiating. Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Friendens Cemetery, Jackson.
Visitation at the church only will be Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson are appreciated.
