Jeffrey S. Sabish, 26
Jeffrey Scott "Sheisty" Sabish, 26, of Campbellsport, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, due to injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born Feb. 10, 1973, in West Bend, to Larry and Carol (Uelmen) Sabish, and graduated in 1991 from Kewaskum High School.
Jeffrey was a member of the Ashford Sportsmen's Club and Sons of Legionnaires.
He was employed by McKee Builders, and enjoyed bowling, hunting and playing softball.
Survivors include his father, Larry Sabish of Kewaskum; his mother, Carol Sabish of Kewaskum a special friend, Cheri Zehren of Campbellsport; two sisters, Tammy Lynn Sabish (fiance Henri Dickman) of Kewaskum and Kim Marie (Sam) Durand of Germantown; paternal grandmother, Marie Sabish of Campbellsport; maternal grandparents, Elroy and Evelyn Uelmen of West Bend; other relatives and many friends.
Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Christ Sabish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum. Father Mark Jones will officiate, and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of services.

Paul W. Dzwonkowski Sr., 59
Paul W. "Old Boy" Dzwonkowski Sr., 59, of Kewaskum, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at his residence.
He was born to the late John and Erma (nee Bernt) Dzwonkowski Sr., on April 3, 1940, in Mosinee.
Following his marriage to Starlet G. Faber on June 6, 1975, in Milwaukee, the couple lived in Waukesha, moving to the Kewaskum area in 1989.
He was employed at Mid City Foundry of Milwaukee for over 40 years, serving as a plant manager for the past 10 years.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved gardening and his pride and joy was raising fish in his pond.
Survivors include his wife; 10 children, Pam Dzwonkowski of Milwaukee; Doug (Janet) of Waldo, Mary Dzwonkowski of Elm Grove, Debbie (Bruce) Heisler and Dwayne (Jennifer), both of Milwaukee, Penny (Dave) Remmert of Jackson, and Paul Jr. (Julie), Laurie McGinnis, Julie (Jerry) Miller and Kathy (Mike) McGinnis, all of Milwaukee; 21 grandchildren; four brothers, Ted (Jan) of Gilbert, Minn., John (Eileen) of Belvadere, Ill., Ed (Sherry) and Dennis (Debbie), both of Mosinee; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Dzwonkowski of Mosinee and Gloria Dzwonkowski of Florida; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Robert.
He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church of West Bend, and was very active in various hunting and fishing organizations throughout the U.S.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Rev. Bryan T. O'Connor will officiate, and interment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Visitation at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday at the church only from 9 to 10 a.m.
Memorials to the charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
Margaret L. Wierman, 83
Margaret L. Wierman, nee Paulin, of West Bend, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at the Beechwood Rest Home, town of Scott, at the age of 83.
She was born March 30, 1916, in Random Lake, to the late Henry and Lucie (nee Conrad) Paulin, and married Felix Wierman on Aug. 3, 1940, in Random Lake.
She and her husband later owned and operated the former Turk's Oasis.
In 1964 they settled in West bend.
Her husband passed away June 1, 1993.
Survivors include a son, Mike (Kathye) of West Bend; two grandchildren, Matthew and Michelle (Nathan) Blevins; a great-granddaughter, Mikayla Blevins; a sister, Catherine Liefer of Bedford, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Paulin and Margaret Mary Wierman; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Clarence Paulin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, West Bend. Fr. Michael Petersen will be the presider, and burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Monday from 4 to 6:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Frances Cabrini Church, the West Bend Columns Scholarship Foundation, or to the Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin.

Alice E. Schiller, 91
Alice E. Schiller, 91, nee Wilke, of Kewaskum, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
She was born Dec. 13, 1908, in Elmore, to the late Carl and Mary (nee Beck) Wilke, and on Nov. 3, 1932, married David Coulter at Elmore Church, Elmore. He passed away May 21, 1963.
On March 22, 1969, she married Jerome Schiller at Peace United Church of Christ, Kewaskum. He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1974.
Mrs. Schiller was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum, and a former member of Salem United Church of Christ in the town of Wayne.
Survivors include a son, David "Leroy" (Barbara) Coulter of Kewaskum; a daughter, Marion Schuster of Fond du Lac; a brother, Henry (special friend Betty) of Antigo; a sister, June (Lloyd) Lemke of Campbellsport; a sister-in-law, Elvira Erickson of Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Nora Wiesner; a grandson, Craig Coulter; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Schuster;brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, at Peace United Church of Christ, Kewaskum. Rev. William Wiederanders officiated, and burial was at 1 p.m. on Sunday in Salem United church of Christ Cemetery, town of Wayne.
Visitation at the church only was Saturday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, served the family.
John Laabs
A funeral service was held Sunday at St. John’s Lutheran Church East Mequon for John Laabs, 87, who died on Jan. 4, 2000. Randall S. Siegel officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial was at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery—East Mequon.
Mr. Laabs was born July 1, 1912 in Mequon, son of John and Augusta (nee Krause) Laabs. He worked for a cement manufacturer and attended St. John’s Lutheran Church—East Mequon.
Survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His wife Dorothy Laabs and his parents preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church are appreciated.
Robert Borchardt
A funeral service was held Saturday at the Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton for Robert Donald "Bobo" Borchardt, 48, who died on Jan. 4, 2000. Rev. Jerome Petersen officiated at the ceremony. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton.
Mr. Borchardt was born Aug. 8, 1951 at Camp McCoy, son of Eugene and Melba (nee Oberheu) Borchardt. He married Vickie Buelow on April 23, 1983. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1043 of Saukville and worked at Milwaukee Gear Manufacturing.
Survivors include: wife Vickie Borchardt of Grafton; father Eugene Borchardt of Warrens; mother Melba Borchardt of Grafton; daughter Tiffanie Borchardt of Grafton; son Travis Borchardt of Grafton; sister Margie Meiser of Warrens; mother-in-law Deanna (the late Albert) Buelow; brothers-in-law Greg (Petra) Buelow of Belgium and Kevin (Gail) Buelow of Grafton.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
June L. Thelen, 73
June L. Thelen, Yench, of Fond du Lac, formerly of West Bend, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in a peaceful manner at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, at the age of 73.
She was born June 5, 1926, in Milwaukee, to the late Joseph and Florence Yench.
After her marriage to Calvin M. "Cy" Thelen on Aug. 30, 1947, in Oconomowoc, the couple moved to West Bend.
June loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing.
Her husband passed away July 21, 1998.
Survivors include four children, Calvin L. (Audrey) of West Bend, Joseph (Susan) of Mayville, Thomas (Diane) of Waukegan, Ill. and Brenda (Pat Repovsch) Brown of the town of Wayne; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Robert (Adeline) of Mequon and Ralph (Joan) of Grafton; a sister, Arline Yench of Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Ramona (Sylvan) Watry of West Bend; and other relatives and friends.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
Burial of the cremated remains will be in Washington County Memorial Park.
Those who wish may give memorials to the American Lung Association.

Dolores Ribner
A funeral service was held Friday at the Alexian Village Chapel for Dolores O. Ribner, 90, died on Jan. 5, 2000. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Ribner was born April 11, 1909, daughter of Joseph and Margaret (nee Ebert) Kronser.
Survivors include: daughters Janet (Donald) Levy and Helaine ("Rusty") Shackman; sister Marie L. Weber; grandchildren Ben (Janice) Levy, Kim (Robert) Levy, Nancy (Paul) Lewis, Judy (Kirk) Schnoebelen, Carol Shackman and Lisa (Thomas) Vogt; great-grandchildren Audree Goone, Ellie Goone, Madeline Goone, Jake Levy, Allison Lewis, Andy Lewis, Brad Lewis, Kyle Schnoebelen, Sam Schnoebelen, Brian Vogt and Stephanie Vogt; and nephew Peter (Irene) Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Herbert H. Ribner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alexian Village Chapel fund or St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital Foundation are appreciated.
Patricia Ellen Bergin, 64
Patricia Ellen Bergin, 64, formerly of West Bend, died at her residence in Verona, Wis. on Jan. 1, 2000.
She was born on Oct. 14, 1935 in Milwaukee to John and Cornelia (Egerer) Bergin, and was a graduate of West Bend High School.
She is survived by sisters, Dorothy (Donald) Freehauf of West Bend, Virginia (Walter) Kratz of Middleton, Joan (William) Grote of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; brothers, John (Vesta) Bergin of Boise, Idaho and Robert Bergin of Irma; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
