Wilhelmina R. "Billy" Streck, 96
Wilhelmina R. "Billy" Streck of Hartford passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center at the age of 96.
Billy was born in the town of Empire on Sept. 23, 1903 to Jacob and Frances (nee Meisel) Mertens. Billy married Frank Streck on Aug. 2, 1926 at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. They moved to Hartford in 1929.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by three daughters, Doris (Wally) Bautzmann of Wautoma, Betty (Bert) Schlough of Bradenton, Fla. and Joyce (Marvin) Milosch of Waukesha. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A funeral mass was held Friday, Jan. 7, 2000 at 3 p.m. at St. Kilian Church, Hartford. Visitation will be Friday at St. Kilian Church from 2 p.m. until the time of mass. Interment followed at St. Kilian New Cemetery.
Memorials to Cedar Campus of St. Kilian Church appreciated.
The Matenaer-Schramka Funeral Home is serving the family.

Otto F. Rehwaldt, 85
Otto F. Rehwaldt, of Cedar Bay in West Bend, died Tuesday, Jan, 11, 2000, at his residence, at the age of 85.
He was born Feb. 17, 1914, in Neenah to the late Otto and Magdalene (nee Ring) Rehwaldt, and at an early age his family moved to Hartford where he graduated from Hartford High School.
Following his marriage to Lenore A. Becker on Sept. 26, 1936, at St. Mary's Church, Woodland, they settled in the West Bend area.
In 1976 he retired as the personnel director for the former Line Material/McGraw Edison.
His wife passed away June 23, 1986.
He was a former member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Slinger.
Survivors include two children, Don (Charla) of Fayetteville, Ga. and Karen (Tom) Leonard of Jackson; four grandchildren, Donald, Susan, Linda and William; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lyda Rehwaldt; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were five brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson. Fr. Jeff Haines will officiate, and burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery, Slinger.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of services.

Agnes E. Klumb, 94
Agnes E. Klumb, nee Majkowski, of West Bend, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center, at the age o f 94.
She was born Jan. 20, 1905, in Milwaukee, to the late August and Wilhelmina (nee Tarschewski) Majkowski.
Shortly after her marriage to Carl E. Klumb on May 14, 1930, in Milwaukee, the couple moved to Big Cedar Lake in the town of West Bend.
Carl passed away on Dec. 31, 1997.
Agnes was a cherished and adored mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a Rotary Ann, a former member of the West bend Women's Club and the West Bend Country Club, and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Survivors include two children, Richard (Margie) of West Bend and Marilyn Williams of Parkland, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Douglas (Janine) Klumb of South Lyon, Mich., David Klumb of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lynn (William) Fisher of Sheboygan Falls, Diane (Joseph) Carlson of West Bend, Gregory (Jeanette) Williams of Verona, Bradley Williams of Miami, Fla. and Debra (David) Carroll of Coral Springs, Fla.; 13 great-grandchildren, Stacy, Matthew and Katie Klumb, Sara and Mark Fisher, Erik, Mitchell and Rachel Carlson, Mitchell and Sara Carroll and Melanie, Bryan and Timothy Williams; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Josephine Warsek and a brother, Joseph.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, West Bend, with Fr. Gerald Brittain presiding. Burial took place on Friday, Jan. 7, in Holy Angels Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church only on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials may be given to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund, the Samaritan Health Center or to the charity of the donor's choice.
The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend, is serving the family.

Leslie C. Howard, 88
Leslie C. Howard, 88, of Campbellsport, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at his home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1911, on the family farm in the town of Ashford, to the late Alfred and Lena (Yancey) Howard, and married Helen A. Adler at First Baptist Church, Campbellsport, on Oct. 2, 1937.
He farmed on the family farm in the town of Ashford until retiring, at which time he took up woodworking.
He was a member of the Campbellsport United Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Joan (Bill) Babcock of Octavia, Okla. and Donna (Willard) Peterson of Waubeka; two grandchildren, Gregory (Dawn) Peterson of Sheboygan and Connie Peterson of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Francelia Meddagh of Berlin; a brother, Donald (Isabelle) of Columbus, N.M.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport. Rev. Stevens Hilyard will officiate, and burial will be Saturday in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to the Campbellsport Scholarship Fund are appreciated.

Norman H. Esser, 76
Norman H. Esser, of Hartford, passed away on Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, after a brief stay at Hartford Memorial Hospital. He was 76 years old.
He was born June 10, 1923, in Hartford to the late Arthur and Lena (nee Neu) Esser, and married Irene Schnorenberg on Nov. 22, 1945, at St. Kilian's Church, Hartford.
Norman was employed at Chrysler Outboard Corporation for 43 years, and was a woodworking instructor for 35 years at Moraine Park Technical College.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ginger (Randy) Kuhn of Hartford and Cindy Esser of Lomira; a son, Kevin of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Jessica Mills, Jacob and Justin Rosenthal, and Damien and Jamie Kuhn; a great-grandson, Austin; two sisters, Olive Beine of Slinger and Noreen Esser of Milwaukee; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was a brother-in-law, Herbert.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Sunday, Jan. 9, at 5 p.m. at St. Kilian's Catholic Church. Father Michael Petrie officiated, and interment was in St. Kilian Cemetery.
Memorials to St. Kilian's Building Fund or American Lung Association are appreciated.
The Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, served the family.

Robert J. Cain, 72
Robert J. Cain, of West Bend, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, at the age of 72.
He was born on Aug. 15, 1927, in Poynette to the late James and Marian (nee Rue) Cain, and married Harriet Grunwaldt on Aug. 21, 1948, at Holy Angels Church, West Bend.
Shortly after his graduation from West Bend High School he entered the U.S. Navy, serving at the end of World War II.
After his return to West Bend, he became employed at the Gehl Co. where he worked for 35 years, and at the time of his retirement in 1982, he was a technical writer.
Bob was a member of the Hexelbank Club at the Gehl Co., the Fr. Casper Rehrl Council 1964 Knights of Columbus and Post 812 American Legion in Milwaukee.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Barbara (Scott) Fleming of Brown Deer, Thomas (Jane) of Sheboygan, Daniel (Kathleen) of Kewaskum and SM/Sgt. Richard USAF of Kunsan AFB, South Korea; eight grandchildren, Ryan and Meghan Fleming and Michael, Matthew, Andrew, Eric, Ross and Jessica Cain; a sister, Margaret (Patrick) Diercks of Antigo; two brothers, James and John (Helen), both of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at Holy Angels Church, West Bend. Fr. Jerry Repenshek will be the presider, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the church only will be Saturday from noon until 2:45 p.m.
Those who wish may give memorials to St. Joseph's Community Hospital Cancer Care Center or to the Washington County M.S. Support Group.

Theresa R. Aker, 46
Theresa R. Aker, nee Holl, of Slinger, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, at the age of 46.
She was born Feb. 25, 1953, in Hartford, to the late Henry and Helen (nee Barchent) Holl, and graduated from Slinger High School.
She was a warehouse manager for Anacomp of Hartford for over 12 years, and later a quality control inspector for Chemrite Industries of Lannon for over seven years.
Survivors include two children, Chad (Jennifer) of Slinger and Diane Aker of Racine; a granddaughter, Courtney Aker of Slinger; her fiance, Michael Kodzik of Slinger; four sisters, Carol (Herbert) Breuer of West Bend, Carla (Harold) Dietenberger of the town of Addison, Holly (Robert) Langenecker of Slinger and Rita Holl of Muncie, Ind.; two brothers, Norman (Kathy) of Cambridge and Tony (Laurie) of the town of Addison; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Slinger.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, Slinger, with a Mass at 7;30 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Slinger. Fr. Robert J. Bales will officiate and cremation will take place at Parkview Crematory of Fond du Lac, with interment of ashes in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated.

Thomas C. Schaefer, 41
Thomas C. Schaefer, 41, and his wife, Diane M. Schaefer, nee Weigand, 42, of Rock, Mich., both died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba, Mich. from injuries suffered in an auto accident.
Diane was born Oct. 27, 1957, in Beaver Dam to Philip and Marian (nee Gosse) Weigand.
After moving to Jackson with her family, she graduated in 1976 from West Bend East High School.
She was a stay-at-home mom who also taught her children at home.
Thomas was born March 11, 1958, in West Bend to Clarence and Marion (nee Schloemer) Schaefer, and also graduated in 1976 from West Bend East High School.
On May 31, 1985, Thomas and Diane were married at the First Baptist Church in West Bend where they were members.
They settled in the St. Kilian area and Tom worked at Charter Steel in Saukville.
In May of 1999 they moved to Rock, Mich., where Tom was employed at Marble Arms.
Together they are survived by their four children, April, Grace, Benjamin and Amanda, all at home.
Diane's family includes her mother and stepfather, Marian and Harold Sauthoff of the town of Jackson; two sisters, Susan (Randal) Clark of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and Cynthia Sauthoff of Yuma, Ariz.; three brothers, Daniel (Susan) Weigand of Athens, David (Mary) Weigand of West Bend and Kenneth (Wanda) Weigand of the town of Jackson, and her maternal grandmother, Adela Gosse of West Bend.
Tom's family includes his mother, Marion Schaefer of West Bend; two sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Kuckuk of West Bend and Carolyn Weiss of Allenton, and two brothers, James Schaefer and Paul Schaefer, both of West Bend.
Together they had many other relatives and close friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, Philip, and Tom was preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
Funeral services for Thomas and Diane will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, West Bend. Rev. Bruce Dunford will officiate, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Friday after 4 p.m., and Saturday at the church from noon until the time of services.
Memorials for the future care of their children are requested by the family.
