Angie Viola Lutzen
A funeral service was held Monday evening for Cedarburg resident Angie Viola Lutzen, 78, who died Jan. 27, 2000.
Visitation was at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, with Rev. Chris Schwanz leading the service. Burial was at Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee.
Arrangements were handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Mrs. Lutzen was born July 4, 1921 in Thiensville, daughter of Peter and Mamie (nee Thielen) Barth.
She married Joseph Lutzen, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lutzen was a homemaker, and was known as "Concertina Angie" because of her proficiency on the instrument. She was a member at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she belonged to the church’s Prime Timers and the Ladies Quilting Guild.
Survivors include daughter Joanne (Ken) Kuhn of Cedarburg; sister Marcella Pierner of Cedarburg; grandchildren Jason Kuhn of Madison and Jennifer Kuhn of Cedarburg.
Memorials to the First Immanuel Organ Fund appreciated.

Mildred Lillian Florence Kertscher
A funeral service was held on Tuesday at Frieden’s Ev. Lutheran Church for Mildred Lillian Florence Kertscher, 86, who died on Jan. 27, 2000. Rev. Matt McClellan officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton. Burial was at Waubeka Union Cemetery in Waubeka.
Mrs. Kertscher was born March 11, 1913 in Milwaukee, daughter of Nic and Elizabeth (Eck) Stroessner. She married Walter Kertscher on July 18, 1936.
She worked at Holten and Hunkle Green House in Brown Deer in the 1950s and was a nurse’s aide and later a unit clerk at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington (now St. Mary’s Ozaukee, Harbor Village) and finally for Outreach Home Health Services.
She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Church in Port Washington, Landt-Thiel American Legion Auxiliary, Women’s Guild, Interfaith Caregivers, Cedar Lake Home, Waubeka Union Cemetery and the Red Cross.
Mrs. Kertscher’s quilting work had been displayed at the Cedarburg Cultural Center and she was one of the quilters who worked on the "Celebrate Ozaukee!" historical quilt on display at St. Mary’s Ozaukee.
Survivors include: daughter Ruth Cook, Cedarburg; son Dale (Sharon) Kertscher, Fredonia; grandchildren Linda (Robert) Cwiertniak, Chicago, Ill., Emiley Kertscher, Fredonia, Sarah Kertscher, Fredonia, Kris Mathes, Port Washington.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials to the church or the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter.

Beverly M. Kuehl
A funeral service was held Wednesday at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church for Beverly M. Kuehl, 71, who died on Jan. 31, 2000. Rev. Robert Lindau officiated at the ceremony, with arrengements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial was at Trinity Freistadt Cemetery in Freistadt.
Mrs. Kuehl was born July 8, 1928 in Milwaukee, daughter of August and Alice (nee Buntrock) Hage. She was married to Kenneth Hoefs and to John Kuehl. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: son Gerald (Susan) Hoefs of Neosho; daughter Susan (Glenn) Garbisch of Campbellsport; sisters Audrey Schmidt, of Bakersfield, Calif. and Jacilyn Steffen of Germantown; grandchildren Jason (Emily) Garbisch of Germantown, Brian Garbisch of Germantown, Kristen (fiancee Todd) Garbisch of Germantown, Amanda, Jessica, Jolene and Hoefs, all of Neosho.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Hoefs and John Kuehl.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Thiensville Volunteer Fire Department or Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated.

Robert Francis Hane
A memorial mass was celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Church in Thiensville on Tuesday for Robert Francis Hanel, 83, who died on Jan. 30, 2000. The Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, Thiensville assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Hanel was born July 9, 1916 in Milwaukee, son of Alexander and Margaret (nee Milbauer) Hanel. He married Virginia Brad and was a resident of the Mequon-Thiensville area for nearly 50 years.
Mr. Hanel studied at Marquette University and was a member of the 1937 football team that played in the first Cotton Bowl. He graduated from Milwaukee State Teacher’s College and taught in the Whitefish Bay School District for 43 years, interrupted only by World War II. He served overseas for three years and received the Purple Heart while stationed in Saipan.
Among other things he served as director and coach for the Whitefish Bay Speedskating Club for 20 years. It was in this capacity he went to the 1960 Winter Olympics as the mentor of skater Tom Weisel.
Survivors include: daughters Cindy (David) Bock, Mequon, Peggy (Michael) Young, Glendale, Jackie (Jack) Greeley, Mequon; sons Brad (Andrea) Hanel, Paonia, Colo., Robert G. Hanel, Mequon; grandchildren Andy, Jenny, Corey, Amy, Jon, Joe, Abby, Bobby, Nora, Alex, Shannon and Christopher.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Virginia.

Louise Dorszynski
Funeral services were held Monday at St. Cecilia’s Congregation in Thiensville for Louise Dorszynski (nee Bokol), 82, who died on Jan. 27, 2000. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery. Church and Chapel Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Dorszynski was a member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Catholic Symphony, Milwaukee Catholic Youth Orchestra and American Federation of Musicians. She, along with her husband, operated Dorszynski Brothers Roofing Co.
Survivors include: husband Stanley Dorszynski; daughter Terry (Bill) Corrigan; sons Ron (Sue) Dorszynski, Tony Dorszynski and Herb Dorszynski; brother Anton (Betty) Bokol; grandchildren Sarah, Steve, Dan, Katherine, Chris, Allie, Sylvia and Alex; friends Helen Buch, Marge Lance, Lil Janik; sister-in-law of Marie (Harry) Mentkowski, Ray (Irene) Dorszynski. Rita (Larry) Konkel and the late Alice (Tony) Rozewski, Julius Dorszynski, Eugenia Masbaum, Jack (Reenie) Dorszynski.
Memorials to Muscular Dystrophy Association are appreciated.

William H. Doll
William H. Doll, 93, of Hartford, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at the home of son, William J. Doll in Newald.
He was born May 28, 1906, in St. Lawrence, to the late John and Clara (nee Holzman) Doll, and married Kathryn Olszak on June 29, 1929, in Ironwood, Wis.
He had enjoyed the last 15 months of his life with his family in Wisconsin's beautiful north country.
Bill started in business as an auto mechanic, and in 1937 became a franchise Pontiac dealer.
Soon afterward he began selling GMC trucks, and in 1968 also acquired the Buick franchise.
His dealership has remained in operation in downtown Hartford at the same location for almost 65 years.
Bill was proud of his many years on the Hartford Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include two sons, William J. (Shirley) of Newald and John (Debra) of Hartford; six grandsons, Pat (Luann), Mike, Jeff, Terry, Ryan and Adam; two step-grandsons, Matt and Mitch; a great-grandson, Jason; two step-great-grandchildren, Luke and Logan; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his wife in 1984; a brother, John; and five sisters, Rose, Laura, Molly, Mae and Gertrude.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford. Father Franklyn Becker will officiate, and interment will be in St. Kilian's Cemetery.
Visitation at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorials to St. Kilian's Education Fund or the charity of one's choice are appreciated.

Margaret E. Harth
Margaret E. Harth, nee Hosp, of Jackson, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at Hartford Memorial Hospital, Hartford, at the age of 82.
She was born Oct. 6, 1917, in Nabob, to the late George and Margaret (nee Heinecke), and married George F. Harth on Oct. 8, 1935, at St. Matthias Church, Nabob.
Following their marriage, the couple settled in Jackson.
George passed away on Oct. 29, 1989.
Margaret was a member of the Christian Woman's Society at St. Frances Cabrini Church.
Survivors include two children, Eugene (Mary) of West Bend and Bonnie (Steven) Multhauf) of Hartford; two grandchildren, Troy and Tracy Gornjak; two great-grandchildren, Darren Dobberphul and Adam Gornjak; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Edward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church. Fr. Jeffrey Haines will officiate, and burial will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 3:30 to 6:45 p.m.
The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.

Wallace H. Strong
Funeral services will be held today for Grafton resident Wallace H. Strong, 72, who died Jan. 3, 2000 at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grafton, with Father Mike Barrett to officiate at the 7 p.m. funeral Mass. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Grafton.
Arrangements are being handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton.
Mr. Strong was born in Shorewood on Sept. 6, 1927, son of James and Marie (nee Wickersheim) Strong. He married Gloria Smith on Nov. 5, 1966 in Milwaukee.
Mr. Strong served in the Army, and worked as an installer for Ameritech. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grafton.
Survivors include his wife Gloria Strong of Grafton; daughters Irene (Brian) Buechler of Cedar Grove, Marie (Ted) Manion of Oxford and Kathy Strong of Grafton; sister Lorraine Weber of Appleton; brothers Gerald (Germaine) Strong of Clintonville and Kenneth (Dee) Strong of Edgar; grandchildren Huner, Alexandria and Faith Buechler of Cedar Grove; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
