Lucille A. Goeden
Lucille A. Goeden, nee Zimmel, of Allenton, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Home Campus of West Bend, at the age of 90.
She was born March 23, 1909, in Waubeno, to the late Alfred and Ella (nee Christnacht) Zimmel, and was raised in Allenton.
After her marriage to Norman N. Goeden on Aug. 3, 1929, at Holy Hill Parish, Hubertus, the couple lived in Allenton.
In 1943 they owned and operated Goeden's Tavern, later known as the Allenton Inn. They moved to Tomahawk in 1964, running Goeden's Hideout for over five years. They moved to West Bend in 1989.
Her husband passed away June 18,1994.
Survivors include three children, Ruby (Rex) Weyer of Allenton, Jean (Jim) Elder of Hubertus and Carol (Melvin) Gullickson of Handcock; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Breunig of Roxburg; a brother, Frederick (Lucille) of Allenton; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was a member of Resurrection Parish of Allenton and a past member of Holy Angels Catholic Church of West Bend.
Closing of the casket prayers was held Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 7:30 p.m. at Resurrection Parish of Allenton. Fr. Richard C. Breitbach will officiate, and interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, town of Addison, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Cedar Lake Home Campus for the care and consideration given to their mother.

Harold B. Fischer
Harold B. Fischer, of Iron Ridge, died February 13, 2000 at his home. He was 73 years old.
He was born to Albert and Adela (nee Backhaus) Fischer on July 4, 1926 in the town of Hubbard. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1944. He married Shirley Voeltz on July 4, 1977 in Iron Ridge.
He farmed in the town of Hubbard and was later employed by Mayville Metal Products and Starr Industries. He was a life-long member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Woodland, a member of St. John's Finance Committee, former member of the Woodland Fire Department and a member of Rock River Hills Golf Club in Horicon. He loved the Packers, traveling and his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Iron Ridge, four children, Robert (Dawn) Cundy of Beaver Dam, Michael (Ann) Cundy of Horicon, Steven (Amber Engevold) Cundy of Horicon and Cathleen (Jeff) Resop of Horicon; four sisters, Erna Dahm of Woodland, Elda Zirbel of Waukesha, Gladys (Marvin) Quandt of Woodland and Janette "Tootie" Nehls of Hustisford; his mother-in-law Florence Voeltz of Mayville; nine grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 17 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Woodland from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral services will follow at the church at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. John Bonow officiating. Interment at St. John's Cemetery in Woodland.
The Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family.

Robert Charles "Mutz" Schneider
Services were held for Robert Charles "Mutz" Schneider, 84, who died on Feb. 10, 2000.
Mr. Schneider was a member of Damasis Lodge #290, Victory Lodge #320, Tripoli Shrine, Consistory (York Rite and Scottish Rite), American Legion, Cedarburg Fire Department and a retired Milwaukee Firefighter. He was also a U. S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include: wife Dorothy Jennie (Hurum); sons Robert Schneider, James (Jane) Schneider and Richard (Diane) Schneider; grandsons Rick (Cindy) Schneider, Jeff (Sue) Schneider and Jason Schneider; granddaughter Jennifer (Bill) Wiesmueller; great-granddaughters Amanda Schneider, Nicole Schneider, Stephanie Schneider and Jessica Wiesmueller; sisters-in-law Hazel Hurum, Martha Berndt, Demira Schneider; brother-in-law William Klipple.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Schneider, mother Neletta Schneider (Klumb), brothers Arthur and Edward Schneider and sister Emmeline Klipple.

Rudolph J. Heinecke, 78
Rudolph J. Heinecke, 78, of Theresa, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at the Hartford Care Center, Hartford.
He was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Theresa, to the late Joseph and Theresa (nee Knaber) Heinecke, and married Loraine Langenecker on Oct. 24, 1959, in Allenton. She passed away in 1994.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the following battles and campaigns: Tunisian Algeria, French Moroccan, Sicilian, Normanday, Northern France, Andennes Rhineland Central Europe.
He received the Distinguished Unit Badge, First Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct American Defense Service Ribbon and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon.
Rudolph was employed at Baker Canning Co., Theresa.
He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters, was a 50-year member of the Theresa Fire Department, and a member of the Miller-Justman-Guelig American Legion Post 270 for 55 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Weston and Phyllis Schaefer, both of West Bend; two sons, Walter (Debbie Christian) of New Berlin and David (Sandy) of Edmond, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, George of Mayville; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two sisters and a brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Fr. Vincent Holubowicz will officiate and burial will be in St. Theresa's Memorial Garden, Theresa.
Graveside military rites will be by the Miller-Justman-Guelig American Legion Post 270 of Theresa.
Visitation at the church only will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Memorials to the Theresa Legion Youth Programs are appreciated.

Sophia B. ‘Sophie’ Pick, 74
Sophia B. "Sophie" Pick, nee Powalisz, 74, of West Bend, found peace with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital.
She was born April 17, 1925, in Milwaukee, to the late Joseph and Laura (nee Rybacki) Powalisz, and on Jan. 15, 1949, married Harold G. Pick in Milwaukee.
For nine years she was employed at The West Bend Co., and later as a deputy sheriff for a number of years with the Washington County Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Sandra Radmanich of Sacramento, Calif., Robert of West Bend, Cynthia (Gregory) Paplaczyk of Allen, Texas and Raymond (Meladee) of Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Pick of Gibsonia, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Edward Radmanich III, Rebecca Radmanich, David Pick, Kimberly Pick, Joshua Pick, Cassie Pick and Michael Paplaczyk; six brothers, Frank (Pat) Powel of West Allis, Edward (Mary Jo) Powalisz of Menomonee Falls, Ted Powalisz of Milwaukee, Alex (Betty) Powalisz of Florida, Harry (Ruth) Powalisz and Leroy (Barbara) Powalisz, both of Milwaukee; three sisters, Dorothy (Jerry) Lukasik, Jenny Boehlke and Mary (Bob) Sojak, all of Milwaukee; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was a son, Gregory in 1991.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, West Bend.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at Living Word Lutheran Church, currently worshipping in the chapel of the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson. Rev. Timothy Niekirk will officiate.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday from 5 p.m. until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.

Vera J. Zommers, 94
Vera J. Zommers, nee Balodis, of the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, West Bend, joined her late husband, Kristaps, on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at the age of 94.
Held in loving memory by son, Janis (Christine) Zommers; daughters, Biruta (Alfreds) Petersons and Olita (the late Eino) Tapola. Further survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and friends and relatives here and in Latvia and Canada.
Private family services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23.
Franzen Jung Kaufmann and Weiand, Milwaukee, is serving the family.

Frances A. Mueller, 91
Frances A. Mueller, nee Husak, 91, of Kewaskum, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
She was born Feb. 14, 1909, in Milwaukee, to the late Charles and Frances (Schauer) Husak, and on April 27, 1935, married Hilbert Mueller in Milwaukee.
Her husband passed away on March 24, 1978.
Mrs. Mueller was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum, the Campbellsport Senior Citizens in Campbellsport, and a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was employed as an operator for Wisconsin Telephone Co. for 29 years, retiring in December, 1964.
Survivors include a son, Glen (Geraldine) of Kewaskum; two grandchildren, Quin (Donna) Mueller and Stacy Mueller, both of Kewaskum; a step-great-granddaughter, Melissa Mueller; a niece, Marjorie (Robert) Hoppe of Mondovi; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Mae Hamann and two brothers, Edward and Carl Husak.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum. Rev. Edwin Fredrich will officiate, and entombment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
Friends may call at the church only on Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to The Threshold are appreciated.

Donald M. Thomas, 73
Donald M. Thomas, 73, of West Bend died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 5 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Monday at the church only from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family.
