Joyce Gilow, 67
A funeral service was held on Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church for Joyce Gilow, 67, who died on Feb. 14, 2000.
Rev. Dale Erickson officiated at the ceremony, with arrangments handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Burial was at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Mrs. Gilow was born July 13, 1932, daughter of Walter and Selma (nee Pagel) Gennrich.
She married Henry F. Gilow, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1998.
She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and active in area homemaker and card clubs.
Survivors include: daughters Susan (Dennis) Langer of Ellsworth and Sandra (Grant) Stearns of Lake Geneva; son Henry Gilow of Mankato, Minn.; grandchildren Samuel Gilow of Mankato, Minn., Christa Langer of Ellsworth, Nathan Gilow of Mankato, Minn., Luke Gilowof Mankato, Minn. and Kyle Sterns of Lake Geneva.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.

Marian A. Eichstaedt, 77
A funeral service was held on Friday at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church for Marian A. Eichstaedt, 77, who died on Feb. 15, 2000. Rev. LeRoy Hass officiated at the ceremony. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Eichstaedt was born June 23, 1922 in Marinette, daughter of Adolph and Elsie (nee Parlow) Schultz. She married Frederick Eichstaedt, who preceded her in death on May 1, 1998. She worked as a security officer for a department store and was a volunteer at Concordia University and the Missouri Synod district office.
Survivors include: son Greg (Sue) Eichstaedt of Grafton; daughter Cheryl (John) Maloney of Hartland; sister Bernice Heebner of Mequon; grandchildren Scott Eichstaedt and Trevor Maloney.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for distribution to the church and other charities are appreciated.

Anthony V. Weasler, 94
Anthony V. Weasler of West Bend, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at his residence, at the age of 94.
He was born July 30, 1905, in Campbellsport, to the late Moritz and Hanna (nee Miller) Weasler, and married Lucille A. Gonnering at Holy Angels Church, West Bend, on Nov. 12, 1938.
She passed away Feb. 24, 1989.
Following his graduation from Campbellsport High School in 1923, Tony attended Marquette University's College of Engineering where he earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1928, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1929.
In 1929, he joined Pick Manufacturing Co. as its chief engineer, and later became vice president and general manager.
In 1951, he formed his own company, Weasler Engineering and Manufacturing Co. Inc., where he served as chairman of the board. He was a registered professional engineer, holding 15 United States and foreign patents.
Tony had been a constant and dedicated leader for Marquette University and alumni programs over the years. His memberships include the Marquette University Chapter of Triangle, a national engineering fraternity, Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit university honor society, Tau Beta Pi, the national honorary mechanical engineering society, the MU Civic Committee and the Alumni Challenge Associates program, to name a few.
He also has served as a class reunion chairman and co-chairman of the Class Bequest program, and was active in student recruitment. Tony was a member of Marquette University's President's Executive Senate, and a life member of the President's Council.
In 1975, he received the MU Engineering Service Award and the Alumni Service Award in 1982 from the MU Alumni Association. In 1978-'79, he established the Weasler Family Endowed scholarship in Engineering to assist incoming students. In 1991, he was named Marquette University's Distinguished Engineering Alumnus by the College of Engineering's Alumni Association.
In 1989, groundbreaking took place for the Tony and Lucille Weasler Auditorium. The auditorium, which is part of Marquette University's Alumni Memorial Union, was named in recognition of a generous gift commitment given by Tony.
His professional memberships include: American Society of Agricultural Engineers-Wisconsin Chapter, which named him the Engineer of the Year for 1977, Society of Automotive Engineers, Farm Equipment Manufacturer's Association, and the Farm and Industrial Equipment Institute.
Tony served on the Board of Lay Trustees for the Marmion Academy in Aurora, Ill., where he was a life member of Abbot Marmion Society.
His local associations include the West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce, where he was a past president and secretary, the West Bend Noon Kiwanis Club, where he was a past president and director for the West Bend Kiwanis Foundation. Tony was also a director for the West Bend Savings and Loan Association. He was a past president of Holy Angels Parish, Holy Name Society, and past president of St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Holy Name Society.
Survivors include three children, Yvonne (Edward) Reardon of Seabrook Island, S.C., Paul (Jane) and Anthony II, both of West Bend; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Flitter of West Bend; three sisters-in-law, Joan Jansen of Rothschild, Florence (Lloyd) Hron of Kewaskum and LaVerne Shiflet of Macon, Ga.; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Antoinette Weasler; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Weasler; a granddaughter, Antoinette Reardon; and a sister, Helen Seefeld.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, West Bend, with burial Thursday at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery, West Bend.
Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 2 to 5:45 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the St. Frances Cabrini Shirley Weasler Scholarship Fund or for Marquette University scholarships.
The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.

Lynwood C. Brawn Sr., 75
Lynwood C. Brawn Sr., 75, of Hoffman Estates, Ill., formerly of Jackson, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at St. Alexius Hospital, Hoffman Estates.
He was born June 13, 1924, in Grafton, Mass., to the late Glendon M. and Gladys C. (nee Black) Brawn, and married Eileen Reardon on June 28, 1947, in Worcester, Mass.
The couple settled in Massachusetts until moving to Erie, Pa., during the 1950s. While living in Erie, Lynwood was employed at Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp., until moving to Wisconsin 1972, where they settled in Jackson. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was employed at the Interstate Drop Forge Co. in Milwaukee.
Eileen passed away Aug. 2, 1997.
Following his marriage on July 17, 1999, to Carol J. Reed, the couple settled in Hoffman Estates.
He was very active in the village of Jackson where he served as a village trustee, and was also the commissioner of the Police and Fire Commission for many years. He was also a member of the West Bend Lodge 1398 Loyal Order of Moose, and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 10 (formerly known as the International Die Sinkers Conference), where he served as the national executive vice president in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lynwood C. Jr. (Janyce) of Edinboro, Pa. and Daniel R. (Debra) of Jackson; five grandsons, Michael, Stephen, Gregory, Timothy and Andrew; a brother, Homer F. Brawn of North Grafton, Mass.; two sisters-in-law, Patricia R. Brawn of Erie, Pa. and Catherine (Geno) Bavosi of North Grafton, Mass.; dear family friends, Robert and Sue Hartzell of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Glendon M. Brawn Jr. and Eric F. Brawn.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson, with Fr. James Strupp officiating. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.

Connie M. Miller, 71
Connie M. Miller, nee Ward, of West Bend, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, at the age of 71.
She was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Stevenson, W.Va., to the late Joshua and Virgie (nee Sigmon) Ward, and married Silas Miller on Aug. 28, 1948, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend.
Connie came to West Bend during World War II and found work at Amity Leather where she worked for several years. She then worked at Tecumseh/Power Products in Grafton for 30 years, retiring in 1992. She also served as union committee chairperson.
Connie enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert (Karen) of Kewaskum; five grandchildren, Glen Miller Jr. and Garrett Miller, both of Black River Falls, Nick Miller of La Crosse, and Jason Miller and Justin Miller, both of Kewaskum; three sisters, Patricia (Robert) Williams of Round Lake, Ill., Brenda Lee Ward of Roanoke, Va. and Shirley Ann (Jerry) Iwanski of Arlington, Ill.; a brother, Ronald (Betty Carol) of Knopes, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Lois Miller of Horicon; a brother-in-law, Lewis Nichols of Roanoke, Va.; a sister-in-law, Inez Ustruck of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a son, Glen Miller Sr., three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Bryan O'Connor of St. Andrew Lutheran Church will officiate, and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Mabel J. Tapp
Mabel J. Tapp of Neosho passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000 at Clearview Nursing Home. She was 95 years old.
She was born June 21, 1904 in Gibson to parents of Norman and Emma Wilson. On June 29, 1929, Mabel married Williams J. Tapp in Waukegan, Ill.
She was a long time member of Neosho Fireman's Auxiliary and a life time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Neosho and the Ladies Aid. Mabel was the owner and operator of Tapp's Tapp in Neosho for 33 years.
She is survived by her son Frank (Carol) Tapp of Waukesha; two daughters-in-law, Marian (Al Kieffer) Tapp of Stratford and Mary J. Tapp of Watertown; grandmother of Darell (Sherry) Tapp of Mesa, Ariz; Naomi (Alton) Becker of Horicon, Patricia (Dan) Tapp of Madison, Brian Tapp of Waukesha and Chris (Bonita) Tapp of Waukesha; great-grandmother of Melissa, Tyler, Matthew and LaTisha; two brothers, Raymond (Olivia) Wilson of Green Bay, Norman (Mildred) Wilson of Manitowoc; and sister-in-law Erna Wilson of Milwaukee.
Mabel is preceded in death by her parents; her husband William who died in 1956; a brother, John and two sisters, Viola and Nora.
Visitation was Saturday, Feb. 19 at St. Paul's Lutheran CHurch in Neosho from 10 a.m. until noon. A funeral service followed at the church at noon, Interment was Monday at Arlington Park Cemetery in Milwaukee.
The Berndt Funeral Home is serving the family.

Irene M. Rehberg
Irene M. Rehberg of Hartford passed away on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000 at her daughter’s residence. She was 78 years old.
She was born Dec. 7, 1921 in the town of Herman to William and Maria (nee Gloede) Sell and married John Rehberg on Jan. 29, 1938 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hartford.
Irene was a member of Peace Ev. Lutheran Church. She worked at Libby’s for many years.
She is survived by her three sons, Duane (Christine), Dennis (Sue) and David Rehberg; three daughters, Darlene (Richard) Elsinger, Debra (Jeffrey) Goll and Diane (Robert) Gahlman; 10 grandchildren, John (Mary) Elsinger, Laura Elsinger, JoAne (Michael) Tomson, Tommy (Kathy), Richard (Laura) Elsinger, Irene Elsinger, Joshua and Jason Baier, Jenny Gahlman and Alyssa Rehberg; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy (George) Handel, Alice Stefan and Elvira (Matthew) Kohler; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Rehberg; a granddaughter Joyce Elsinger; a sister Edna (Joe) Meyer and a brother-in-law Robert Stefan.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Peace Ev. Lutheran Church in Hartford with Rev. Jon Tesch officiating. Visitation was at the church only on Tuesday from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorials to Peace Lutheran School appreciated.
The Shimon Funeral Home is assisting the family.
