Rudolph J. Heinecke
Rudolph J. Heinecke of Theresa died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000 at the Hartford Care Center. He was 78 years old.
He was born to Joseph and Theresa (nee Knaber) on Aug. 1, 1921 in Theresa.
He married Loraine Langenecker on Oct. 24., 1959 in Allenton.
He was employed at Baker Canning Co. in Theresa. He was also a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, the Catholic order of foresters, a 50-year member of the Theresa Fire Department, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, and a 55-year member of the Miller-Justman-Guelig American Legion Post #270.
He was involved in the following battle and campaigns: Tunisian Algeria, French Moroccan, Sicilian, Normandy, Northern France, Andennes Rhineland and Central Europe.
He also received the following decorations and citations: Distinguished Unit Badge, First Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct American Defense Service Ribbon and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon.
He is survived by two daughters, Ann Weston of West Bend and Phyllis Schaefer of West Bend; two sons, Walter (Debbie Christian) Heinecke of New Berlin and David (Sandy) Heinecke of Edmond, Okla.; a brother, George Heinecke of Mayville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1994, two sisters and one brother.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Theresa.
A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Fr. Vincent Holubowicz officiating.
Interment at St. Theresa's Memorial Garden, Theresa.
Graveside Military Rules by Miller-Justman-Guelig American Legion Post #270, Theresa.
Memorials appreciated to Theresa legion youth programs.

Robert M. Elsinger
Robert M. Elsinger, of North lake, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000. He was 79 years old.
Bob was the owner and operator of Elsinger Auto Parts of North Lake for more than 50 years and a member of St. Clares Catholic Church in North Lake.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; two stepsons, Michael (Rachele) Rosholt of Stone Bank and Richard (Susan) Rosholt of Hartford; and one brother John (Florence) Elsinger of Hartford. He is further survived by four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Frances, his sister Rose and his son Robin.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 at 7 p.m. at Luko-Evert Funeral Home, 170 Warren Avenue, Hartland.
Interment Summit Cemetery, Oconomowoc. Friends were invited to call Thursday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family appreciated.

June I. Borlen
June I. Borlen (nee Meyer) of Hartford passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was 75 years old.
She was born June 16, 1924 in Richfield to Esther Meyer. She married Jerome Borlen on July 3, 1948 at St. Kilian’s Church in Hartford.
June was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and St. Kilian’s Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts, bingo, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Jerome of Hartford; three sons James, Steve (Bonnie) and Thomas Borlen, all of Hartford; two daughters, Pat of Hartford and Cindy (fiance Frank) Borlen of Oak Creek; and five grandchildren, Will and Matthew Schallock, Eric, Dustin, and Aleaha Borlen. June is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Esther; daughter Diana BorlenSchallock on May 10,1997; aunt Lorraine Kurtz; and a great uncle Ben Dickel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Petrie officiating. Visitation at the Shimon Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Interment St. Kilian Cemetery.
Memorials to St. Kilian’s Building Fund appreciated.
Shirnon Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Wilmer A. Kertscher, 82
Wilmer A. Kertscher of Fillmore died Thursday Feb. 17, 2000, in St. Mary's Hospital of Mequon at the age of 82.
He was born July 25, 1917, to the late John and Frieda (Nitzsche) Kertscher in Farmington.
He married Ann M. Stadler on Nov. 27, 1943, in West Bend.
Wilmer was raised in Farmington, and after their marriage, the couple lived in Fillmore.
Wilmer was self-employed as a whitewashing contractor, sawmill and mason contractor and was a barn equipment dealer in the greater Washington and Ozaukee counties. His company name was Wilmer Kertscher and Sons.
He was a lifetime member of St. Martin's United Church of Christ in Fillmore, Fillmore Turner's Society, Fillmore Sportsman's Club and the self-appointed mayor of Fillmore.
He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman, and also loved roller skating.
Survivors include his wife; four children, John (Judith) Kertscher and Gerald "Jerry" (Susie) Kertscher, both of Fredonia, Judy (Bob) Piaro and Donald "Butch" (Marilyn) Kertscher, both of Fillmore; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Bernice Kertscher of Silver Creek, Dolores Kertscher of Campbellsport and Ruby Kertscher of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Melvin, Allen and Raymond.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 20, at 4:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend with Rev. David P. Jerger officiating. Burial was in Fillmore Union Cemetery, Fillmore, on Monday at 10 a.m.
Memorials to the St. Martin's UCC of Fillmore or Turner's Hall of Fillmore are appreciated.
The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.

Carlton H. Martin, 80
Carlton H. Martin, 80, of Menomonee Falls, formerly of Germantown, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000.
He was the beloved husband of the late Edna R. (nee Schroeder). Dear father of Paul P. (Jane), Esther M. (Alfred) Endlich, John H. (Gale), Peter D. (Joyce) and Mary C. (Carl) Schwendimann. Brother of Hortense Gettelman. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren; a great-grandson; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were three grandchildren.
Carlton was a 20-year membership chairman for the Washington County Farm Bureau, was sexton at St. Paul's Cemetery, Menomonee Falls and Last Home Cemetery in Germantown, and a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Menomonee Falls.
Funeral services were Sunday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Menomonee Falls. Interment was Monday at 11 a.m. in Last Home Cemetery, Germantown.
The Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, Menomonee Falls, assisted the family.

Kathleen Ann Nack, 44
Kathleen Ann Nack, 44, died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
She was the oldest child born to Roland and Irene M. Nack on June 22, 1955.
She was employed for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin for 27 years.
Kathleen loved the 4th of July and the fireworks display, and will be remembered as an avid traveler who was always eager to go on a trip.
She will be sadly missed by her mother, Irene M. Nack of Waukesha and her father and stepmother, Roland and Harriet Nack of Jackson; five brothers and sisters, Linda (Robert) Miller of Waukesha, Steven Nack of Milwaukee (Joy Nack of Germantown), Barbara (Joseph) Dolan of Waukesha, Tony (Kathy) Nack of Milwaukee and Peter Nack of West Milwaukee; and stepbrothers and stepsisters, Tracy (Dennis) Thomas of Richfield, Judy (George) Stippich of West Bend and Bill (Lisa) Drost of Cedarburg. Kathleen was the very special aunt of Jamie and Brad Miller, Sara, Lindsay and Amanda Nack. She is further survived by her special friend, Steve Saskowski of Milwaukee; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many, many friends.
Friends may call at the Randle Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 2 p.m. until the funeral service at 7:30 p.m.
Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park. Please meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or Waukesha Memorial Hospital Transportation Fund are appreciated.

Mark Yellen
A funeral Mass was held on Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton for Mark Yellen, 57, who died on Feb. 17, 2000. Father James Ernster officiated at the ceremony, with Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Yellen was born Nov. 2, 1942 in Plymouth, son of Frank and Delores (nee Zillner) Yellen. He married Barbara Wuenne at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Milwaukee on Nov. 2, 1963. He was a self-employed building contractor and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton.
Survivors include: wife Barbara Yellen of Port Washington; son Mark (Donna) Yellen of Port Washington; daughters Kimberly (Andrew) Tillman of Milwaukee and Elizabeth (fiance Ray Koopman) Yellen of Campbellsport; grandchild Madison; father Frank Yellen of Port Washington; mother-in-law Marian Wuenne of Milwaukee; sisters-in-law Shirley Wuenne of Milwaukee and Beverly (Kenneth) Sarauer of Milwaukee; a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores, and son, Christopher.
Memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.

Walter Benedum, 92
Walter Benedum, 92, of Juneau, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at the Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau.
He was born Feb. 27, 1907, in the town of Wayne, to the late John and Carolyn (nee Wolf) Benedum, and married Viola Luedtke on Feb. 2, 1934.
She passed away in 1964.
He farmed in the town of Herman, Dodge County, and was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, town of Wayne.
Survivors include nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends, and his family at the Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.
Preceding him in death were two sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Clearview Nursing Home. Rev. Steve Bode will officiate, and burial will be in Union Cemetery, Theresa.
Visitation at the nursing home will be Saturday from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
The Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, is serving the family.
