Frederick R. Goecks, 73
Frederick R. Goecks, 73, of Milwaukee, died peacefully on Thursday March 9, 2000, with his family at his side.
Fred was a member of UAW Local 75 where he was active with the retirees. He had many special friends in the union, especially Erv Lypinski.
Fred loved flying and held a private pilot’s license.
He was the beloved husband of Virginia (nee Wilson) of Cedarburg; dear father of Kim Johnson of Cedarburg, Kandi (Robert) Smars of Naples, Fla., Kathleen (Patrick) Portz of Hartford; son-in-law of Mary Lynn and the late Jack Wilson of Greenwood, Miss.; proud grandfather of Jessica, Joshua, Leslie, twins Justin and Brandon, Krystal, Valerie and John; cherished great-grandfather of Alissah and Chase. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Memorials services are pending. Contact the family for details.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington, for its compassionate loving care shown to Fred, especially his special angels, Wendy and Vicki.

Marla D. Petersohn, 53
Marla D. Petersohn, nee Wilcox, 53, of Fund du Lac, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at the Aurora Health Center in Fund du Lac.
She was born in Chicago on Aug. 8, 1946 to Quentin and Bonnie (nee Conelly) Wilcox. At a young age, she moved with her family to Hartford and in 1960 moved to West Bend.
Marla attended West Bend High School, graduating with the class of ‘65. She then attended Lawrence University and Spencerian Business College. On Aug. 8, 1970, she married Gernot Petersohn in Milwaukee, and together they made their home in Fond du Lac. Marla was a loving wife to Gernot and a very devoted hockey fan for her nephew, Grant.
She is survived by her husband, her father Quentin Wilcox of West Bend, one brother, Craig (Christine) Wilcox of the town of Erin, nephew Grant Wilcox of the town of Erin, a stepniece Joelle Schreiber of Greenfield, stepnephew Jason Schreiber of Jackson and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Wilcox.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 14 at 5 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Father Michael Barrett of St. Joseph’s Parish, Grafton will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association are appreciated.
Marla was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her family.

Gertrude M. Reysen, 82
Gertrude M. Reysen, 82, of Kewaskum, died Friday, March 10, 2000 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
She was born Aug. 21, 1917 in the town of Scott, the daughter of the late Theodore and Lillie (Bleck) Otto and on Sept. 21, 1940 she was united in marriage to Roy Reysen at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1995.
Mrs. Reysen was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott and a former member of the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Edna Schuldt of Milwaukee, Laura Reysen of Beechwood and Edna Reysen of Adell, a brother-in-law, Orville (Betty) Reysen of Beechwood, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2000 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Rev. William Robinson will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of services at the church only on Monday.
Memorials to the Lutheran Hour are appreciated.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum is serving the family.

Marion C. Maniag
Funeral services will be held today for Marion C. Maniag, formerly of Adell, Grafton and Hawkins. Marion was the last surviving of 10 children of John and Kathryn Rogalla. Marion was born in Minto, North Dakota. Beloved wife of 62 years of the late Michael Maniag.
Cherished mother of Elizabeth of Elm Grove, Richard (Joan) of Houston and Marilynn Jean of Spring Valley, Calif. and the late Gerald of Glendale, Calif.; grandmother of four, great-grandmother of 13.
Marion and her late husband owned the Ulao Ghost Town Tavern. Many will fondly remember her crusty homemade bread and Friday night fish fries. Marion was a member of the Royal Neighbors of Saukville and leaves behind many friends and other relatives.
Visitation will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Grafton, at 11 a.m. until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon, and burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Grafton. Luncheon at St. Joseph’s School Cafeteria will be held following burial.
Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton assisted the family with arrangements.

Sarah Jean "Sally" Meier
A service will be held on tomorrow at St. James Catholic Church in Mequon, for Sarah Jean "Sally" Meier of Mequon, 73, who died at her winter home in Tucson, Ariz. on March 5, 2000. Visitation will be at the church from 2-5 p.m. Private interment will be held at the church cemetery. Schmidt-Bartelt Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Meier was born July 6, 1926 in Milwaukee, daughter of Alfred and Barbara (nee Dunlop) Perego.
Survivors include: husband Walter Meier; daughters Kathleen (Frederick) Meyer, Karen (Richard) O’Malley, Lynn Kocent, Nancy (Larry) Schall; sons Thomas (Lorri) Weber, Stephen (Stephanie) Weber, John (Nancy) Weber, Steven (Stephanie) Meier; brother Thomas Perego; sisters Pattie Hildebrand, Gerry (Daniel) Boone.
Further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Memorials to the Sertoma Foundation would be appreciated.

Pat Graves-Kingsbury
Pat Graves-Kingsbury, 88, of Cudahy, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000.
She was the beloved wife of Robert Graves and the late Chuck Kingsbury; the loving mother of Herb (Karla) Kingsbury, Chuck (Christine) Kingsbury and Margaret (Ron) Szabelski; dear sister of Pader Briggs. She is further survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, March 10, after 5:30 p.m. at New Hope United Church of Christ, 4360 Jackson Drive, Jackson, followed by funeral services at 6 p.m. There will be a private interment.
Church and Chapel Funeral Service, Milwaukee, is serving the family.

Chester "Chet" Mastenbrook
Chester "Chet" Mastenbrook, 87, of Glendale, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospice, Milwaukee.
He was born May 29, 1912, in Milwaukee.
Mr. Mastenbrook was employed at Square D Co. as an assembler, retiring after 33 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille (nee Hillman); three children, Diane (Fred) Walker, Bonnie Ley, Kenneth (Judy) of West Bend; grandchildren, Brett and Ryan Mastenbrook, Tim (Anita) Ciscel and Kim Michels; great-grandchildren, Jason and Heather Ciscel and Matthew Michels; a brother-in-law, Ken (Kay) Hillman; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were six brothers and four sisters.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11 at 4 p.m. at the Krause Funeral Home, 9000 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee. Rev. Sandra Herrmann will officiate, and burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 2 to 3:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 400 S. 91st St., Milwaukee.

Lorraine C. Thomas (nee Huben)
Lorraine C. Thomas (nee Huben), formerly of Hartford, passed away at her her home in Glendale, Ariz. on March 10, 2000. She was 76 years old.
She was born May 22, 1923 in Green Bay to William (Bill) and Alma (nee Steeno) Huben. She married Lyle M. Thomas on Oct. 11, 1944 while he was in the Navy, stationed in California. She was a member of St. Kilians Church and retired in 1982 from the Sentry Food Store in Hartford where she worked at the service desk for many years.
She is survived by her husband Lyle, also of Glendale, Ariz.; two daughters, Michele (Chuck) Turner of New Berlin and Jeanne Salmon of Spencer, Iowa; six sons, Bill (Cathy) Thomas of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Mark (Debbie) Thomas of Allenton Scott (Vickie) Thomas of Colorado Springs, Colo.; John Thomas of Denver; Paul Thomas of Spencer, Iowa and Chris (Amy) Thomas of Shorewood. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two uncles, Milton Steeno and Don Steeno of Green Bay; other relatives and many friends in Arizona and Wisconsin.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) and Alma Huben.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at St. Kilian's Church, Hartford, in May. The date will be announced later. Memorials to Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W. Northern Avenue, Phoenix, Ariz. 85021 or to Hartford Memorial Hospital Foundation, Life Line Project, will be appreciated.

Leota C. Schnorenberg (nee Heisler)
Leota C. Schnorenberg (nee Heisler) of Hartford passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2000 at her residence. She was 99 years old. She was born on Oct. 12, 1900, in Kewaskum, to George and Helen (nee Seidl) Heisler. She married Harold Schnorenberg on Sept. 24, 1930 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church.
Leota was a member of St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Our Lady of Good Hope, Hartford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary Post #19, WWI Barracks Auxiliary, and past President of St. Elizabeth Altar Society of St. Kilian's.
She is survived by her son, James "Jim" (Marilyn) of Hartford; daughter, Helen (Dr. Robert) Reichert of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren, Julie (Dean) Bellart, David (Jennifer) Schnorenberg, Carol (Peter) Loehr, Diane (Brian) Compstock, Ralph (Paula) Reichert, Lisa (Todd) Hogen, Brian (Chris) Reichert, and Lori (Joe) Pawlak; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Noel Heisler of Campbell-sport. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, on Sept. 15, 1968; sisters, Evelyn Heisler, Thelma Hass, Loretta Joss, and Marie, as an infant; and brothers, Ray "Teddy", Norman, and Roland, as an infant.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. from Shimon Funeral Home to St. Kilian's Church, Hartford, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m with Father Michael Petrie officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Kilian's Cemetery.
Shimon Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Memorials to the American Diabetes Association are appreciated.
Marla was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her family.
