Ellen Volkmann
A funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church in Kirchhayn for Ellen Volkmann, 86, who died on March 13, 2000. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church, Kirchhayn. Rev. James Schulz will officiate at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial will be at David’s Star Lutheran Cemetery in Jackson.
Mrs. Volkmann was born Dec. 18, 1913 in Grafton, daughter of August and Clara (nee Fischer) Eggert. She married Clarence Volkmann on Feb. 9, 1935. She was a long time active member of David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She worked at Alston’s in Cedarburg for over 30 years.
Survivors include: brother William (Isabel) Eggert of Cedarburg; and sister-in-law Irene Eggert of Cedarburg.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Clarence.

Lorraine T. Sovdat
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday at Divine Word Catholic Church in Cedarburg for Lorraine T. Sovdat, 86, who died on March 8, 2000. Private burial was held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee. Zwaska Funeral Home, Brown Deer assisted the family with arrangements.
Survivors include: husband Albert J. Sovdat; daughter Caroline (Walter) Marquardt; grandchildren Carrie and Julie (Chris) Wiken; great-grandchildren Beth, Amber, Eden, John and Conner; sister Charlotte Mann; brother-in-law Donald Buehler; sisters-in-law Josephine R. Sovdat, Elise (Harry) Henke.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Mildred Buehler.
Esther M. Hart, 69
Esther M. Hart, nee Ruben, 69, of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee, died Sunday, march 12, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center of West Bend.
She was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Milwaukee, to the late Joseph and Rose (nee Simon) Ruben.
Survivors include two children, Jayne (James) Garbade of West Bend and Robert Hart of Milwaukee; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica and Jodi Garbade, all of West Bend; a great-grandson, Geno Stewart of West Bend; a special nephew, Charles (Mary) Miller of Elgin, Ill.; great-nephews, Paul and Christopher Miller, both of Elgin, Ill.; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Lee Mary and Joan Evelyn.
She was a member of Beth El of Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday,March 14, at 11 a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery, Milwaukee.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Harvey L. Maas
Harvey L. Maas of Hustisford passed away Monday, March 13, 2000 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison at the age of 82 years.
He was born in Juneau on Aug. 26, 1917 to Ernest and Carla Maas. He was married to Laura (nee Haack) and after her death, to Esther (nee Stark).
He is preceded in death by his parents, both of his wives, his sister Adalia Kienast and his brother Arnold Maas.
He is survived by sons, Harvey Jr. (Lynn) Maas of Poplar and Cliff (Sherry) Maas of Clyman; his grandchildren, Shauna, Lauren, Theresa, Tiffaney, Jason and Katie Maas; two sisters, Mildred (Floyd) Lehmann and Verna Draheim. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
Harvey farmed for 35 years in the Hustisford area and was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hustis-ford.
Visitation will be Friday, March 17 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Berndt Funeral Home in Hustisford. Funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. Interment at the Hustisford Cemetery.

Lester M. Kranich
Lester M. Kranich, formerly of Iron Ridge, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2000 at the Fond du Lac County Health Care Center. He was 84 years old.
He was born July 16, 1915 in Milwaukee to William J. and Agnes (nee Schroeder) Kranich. Lester is survived by relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 16 at 10 a.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

Gary L. Herreman
Gary L. Herreman of Hartford passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2000 at the age of 63 years.
He was born Oct. 6, 1936 in Beaver Dam to Glen and Madeline (nee Bedker) Herreman. He married Susan Kuhnke on Sept. 10, 1974 at St. John's Chapel in Milwaukee.
Gary was a car porter for several different auto dealerships. He was currently working at Cherry Auto in Hartford.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; two sons, James Herreman of Milwaukee and Paul Olson (fiance Lisa) of Allenton; two daughters, Candace Herreman of Milwaukee and Bonnie Herreman of Hartford; and father, Glen of Georgia. He is further survived by other family and many friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 16 at 8 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, with Rev. Thomas Feiertag officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

Frederic R. Goecks
Frederic R. Goecks of Milwaukee, age 73, died peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2000 at 12:40 p.m., with his family at his side.
Fred was a member of UAW Local 75 where he was active with the retirees. He had many special friends in the union, especially Erv Lypinski. Fred loved flying and held a private pilot's license.
He was the beloved husband of Virginia (nee Wilson) of Cedarburg; dear father of Kim Johnson, of Cedarburg; Kandi (Robert) Smars of Naples, Fla; Kathleen (Patrick) Portz of Hartford; son-in-law of Mary Lynn and the late Jack Wilson, Greenwood, Miss.; proud grandfather of Jessica, Joshua, Leslie, twins Justin and Brandon, Krystal, Valerie and John; cherished great grandfather of Alissah and Chase. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Cassandra Belle Becker
Cassandra Belle Becker, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2000.
She was the beloved daughter of Paul and Jennifer (nee Rogers) Becker of Whitefish Bay; adored sister of Alyssa Marie Becker. She will be missed by her grandparents, Dr. Jeffrey and Gail Rogers of Fox Point, Charlotte Becker of West Bend and Michael (Anne) Becker of Kewaskum; her aunts and uncles, Daniel Rogers, Michelle (David) Hoffmaier, Sherry (David) Tennies and James (Susan) Becker.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 18, at noon at the Whitefish Bay Funeral Home, 4750 N. Santa Monica Blvd.
Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday
Donations may be made in memory of Cassandra Becker to Children's Hospital Foundation-Pediatric ICU.

Victoria Strukl
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Chicago for Victoria Strukl, 85, who died on March 12, 2000. Inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Ill. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Strukl was born Nov. 2, 1914 in Chicago, Ill., daughter of Victor and Anna (nee Moticka) Maywood. She married Joseph Strukl and worked as a homemaker.
Survivors include: daughter Marie (Bill) Biliskov of Novi, Mich.; son Joseph (Lois) Strukl of Midlothian, Va.; grandchildren Michael (Cathy) Strukl of West Bend, George (Sue) Strukl of Westmont, Ill., Joseph (Jill) Biliskov of Cedarburg, Joseph Strukl of Midlothian, Va. and Laura Strukl of Midlothian, Va.; great-grandchildren Michael Strukl of West Bend, Jason Strukl of Westmont, Ill., Bradley Strukl of West Bend and Jeffrey Strukl of West Bend.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Ronald J. Schultz
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Grafton, for Ronald J. Schultz, 66, who died on March 9, 2000. Rev. Mark Wagner will officiate at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton.
Mr. Schultz was born May 15, 1933 in Illinois, son of William and Irene (nee Buck) Schultz. He married Carol Albrecht and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. He served in the Army from Dec. 15, 1952 to Nov. 30, 1955.
Survivors include: daughter Rebecca Schultz of Saukville; son James Schultz of Saukville; grandchildren Brittany, Alyssa and Destiny Schultz.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
