Fred J. Hilgendorf
A funeral service was held on Saturday at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Freistadt for Fred J. Hilgendorf, 86, who died on March 7, 2000. Rev. Robert Lindau officiated at the ceremony, with Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg handling the arrangements. Burial was at Trinity Freistadt Cemetery.
Mr. Hilgendorf was born Oct. 7, 1913 in Germantown, son of Fred and Clara (nee Gierach) Hilgendorf. He worked as a farmer and was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: wife Esther Hilgendorf of Milwaukee; daughters Mary Ann (David) Bowden of Falls Church, Va. and Doreen (Bob) Corso of Germantown; stepsons Tim (Terry) Schoessow of Mequon and Harold (Dorothy) Schoessow of Mequon; stepdaughters Dolores (Marvin) Boehlke of Germantown, Dorothy (Bert) Griffin of Califorjnia and Ruth (John) Leininger of Florida; sisters Frieda Kruschel of Menomonee Falls, Lydia Schulz of Cedarburg and Neoma Schoessow of Arizona; and sister-in-law Lillian Hilgendorf.
Further survived by six grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, daughter Janet, stepdaughter Evelyn, sisters Elsie Lemke, Clarinda Wendt and Milda Kloehn, and brother Arthur Hilgendorf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated.

Mildred Lorraine Gray
A funeral service was held on Tuesday at Divine Word Catholic Church, Cedarburg, for Mildred Lorraine Gray, 80, who died on March 9, 2000. Fr. George Gajdos officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial was at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Cemetery in Mequon.
Mrs. Gray was born Oct. 24, 1919 in Manistique, Mich., daughter of Wildred and Beatrice (nee Olsen) Beaudoin. She married Ellsworth Gray on May 21, 1941 in Michigan. She worked as a homemaker and attended Divine Word Catholic Church.
Survivors include: husband Ellsworth Gray of West Bend; sons Elsworth (Judy) Gray of Milwaukee, Michael (Tao) Gray of Pleasant Hill, Calif. and Jeffery (Jody) Gray of Geneva, Ill.; daughters Sandra (Richard) Niggemann of Rockford, Ill. and Caro (Ken) Hein of Milwaukee.
Further survived by 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Leonard of Clarksville, Tenn.; sisters Rosalie of Bradenton, Fla. and Shirley of Battle Creek, Mich., other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister and son Ted.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Cedar Lake Health Care Center of the American Cancer Society are appreciated.

Raymond J. Aslin
Funeral services were held A funeral service was held on Tuesday for Raymond J. Aslin, 76, who died on March 11, 2000. Private entombment was held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, Thiensville, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Aslin was part owner of Ajax Metal Products of Mequon, and a Navy veteran of WWII.
Survivors include: wife Jean Aslin; sons Michael Aslin of Cedarburg and Daryl (Nancy) Aslin of Hartford; daughters Karen Aslin of Grafton, Debbie Blake of Grafton and Darlene (Frank) Ebert of Germantown; brothers Imo, William and Ralph Aslin; stepchildren Paul Orvis, James Orvis, Mary Schilling and Jennifer Dowty.
Further survived by eight grandchildren, one brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Florence (nee Rechcygl).

Walter E. Anderson
Mr. Walter E. Anderson, 80, formerly of Thiensville, died on March 12, 2000. He was born June 13, 1919 in Kansas City, Mo. to Edgar and Ruby (nee Ducket) Anderson. He married Maribel Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a farmer and the agricultural reporter for WTMJ in Milwaukee. He also taughtat MATC as a business law instructor. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII and retiring from the Navy as a lieutenant commander.
Survivors include: daughters Leslie (Jesse) Hamlin of Walnut Cove, N.C. and Christine (James) Morgan of Shore View, Minn.; sons Mike (Leslie) Anderson, Pensacola, Fla. and John (Cheryl) Anderson of Delafield; grandchildren Kristen Anderson, Anne (Jeff) Pearman, Julie (Rick) Perdue, Amy Beth Anderson, Jessica Marcc (Mike) Abel and Daniel Paul Lightly; step-grandchildren Keith and Lori Caperton, Darren and Lisa Hamlin; great-grandchildren John Henry Pearman, Michala Perdue and Brandon Lane Perdue; step-great-grandchildren Courtney and Michael Caperton, Ashlan Hamlin and Jordan Prevette; sisters Ruth Anderson, Pismo Beach, Calif. and Irene Howard Pismo Beach, Calif.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Maribel.

Helen M. Blanchette, 87
Helen M. Blanchette, nee Guenther, 87, of West Bend, went home to the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born Jan. 23, 1913, in Antigo, to the late Alex and Lena (nee Wagner Guenther, and married Frederick Blanchette on Dec. 12, 1930, in Indiana .
The couple resided in the Milwaukee and Cudahy area until moving to West Bend in 1950.
Helen was formerly employed at the Amity Co. for over 17 years until retiring in in 1978.
She was a long-time and active member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, West Bend, a Sunday School teacher and a member of Calvary Prime Timers.
Her husband passed away on Sept. 20, 1970.
Survivors include six children, Lois (Harry) Priest of Benzonia, Mich., Wilma Flickinger of New Berlin, Gerald (Janice) of Sebring, Fla., Richard (Alberta) of Fond du Lac, Alan of Homestead, Fla. and Gordon (Kathleen) of West Bend; 17 grandchildren 36 great-grandchildren five great-great-grandchildren two sisters, Myrtle Wachel of Rhinelander and Agnes Martin of Miami, Fla.; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church. Rev. Fran Burton of Assembly of God Church in Cedarburg will officiate, and burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Milwaukee.
Visitation at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

Nancy E. Jaworski (nee Burg), 44
Grafton resident Nancy E. Jaworski (nee Burg), 44, died March 7, 2000 at her home.
A graveside service was held Saturday following cremation at the Rothmann Cemetery, Town of Calumet. The family was assisted by the Sippel Funeral Home, New Holstein.
Mrs. Jaworski is survived by her mother, Ruth Ohm Burg of Malone, Wis.; brothers Merle Burg Jr. of Fond du Lac and David (Ann) Burg of Malone; nieces Lisa Burg (friend Troy Bartel) of Malone and Kris Burg of Green Bay; nephew Brad Burg (friend Ann Casper) of Malone; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Merle J. Burg.

Eilene I. Kuntz, 83
Memorial services were held Saturday at Ozaukee Congregational Church, Grafton, for Eilene I. Kuntz, 83, a Cedarburg resident who formerly lived in Mequon and Shorewood, and died March 7, 2000 at St. Michael Hospital, Milwaukee.
Interment is at Merton Lisbon Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Schmidt & Bartlet Funeral Home, Mequon.
Mrs. Kuntz was born Aug. 8, 1916 in Milwaukee, daughter of Robert F. and Elizabeth (nee Woehlert) Illian.
She he was an accomplished pianist and organist for many fraternal organizations. Mrs. Kuntz was a member of Jobs Daughters Bethel No. 5 and an advisor and mentor to Bethels No. 5 and No. 13 and a life member of Ella S. Washburn Chapter O.E.S. and The White Shrine of Jerusalem No. 2. She also served as a deacon at Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon.
In addition, she served as a leader and neighborhood chair for the Girl Scouts in Shorewood, was a past president of the Mequon Woman’s Club, past president of the Mequon Library League and a member of the Mequon-Thiensville Postscripts, the Florentine Opera Club, the Friends of the Milwaukee Ballet and the Robert Burns Club of Milwaukee.
Mrs. Kuntz is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald H. G. Kuntz; daughters Katie (Jeffrey) Davis of Berkeley Heights, N.J. and Jenny Mitchell of Cedarburg; brother Robert F. (Virginia) Illian Jr.; niece Patricia I. (John) Hinrichs; other relatives and friends.
The family suggests memorials to Ozaukee Congregational Church, the Ozaukee Humane Society or the Shrine Hospitals for Crippled Children.

Gertrude Emma Augusta Sievers, 83
Gertrude Emma Augusta Sievers, 83, formerly of Clintonville, died March 7, 2000 at her Cedarburg home.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Rhodes & Beil Funeral Home, Clintonville, with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial is at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
Mrs. Sievers was born Sept. 24, 1916 in Dorchester, Wis., daughter of Herman and Alvina (nee Tessmer) Lorenzen. She married Carsten G. Sievers at Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass, Wis.
The couple owned and operated Sievers Hardware Store in Clintonville for 35 years. They retired in 1979, and moved to Cedarburg in 1996 to be close to relatives.
Mrs. Sievers was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Clintonville.
Survivors include her husband Carsten; children Roger (Pat) Sievers of Cedarburg and Barbara (James) Gran of Bayside; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters Doris (Francis) Alwin of Avalon and Leona Schein of Milwaukee; sister-in-law Dorothy Lorenzen of Avalon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clifford.
The family requests memorials to a church of the donor’s choice.
