Nathan T. Butzke, infant
Infant Nathan Thomas Butzke, was born to Thomas L. and Christine L. Fischer Butzke of Fond du Lac, on Monday, March 20, 2000, at 10:05 p.m. He weighed in at 4 pounds 5 ounces, and measured 16 1/2 inches.
The Lord took him to Himself in heaven at 11:25 p.m., allowing us time to baptize and spend some time with him on earth.
We look forward to seeing him again when the Lord reunites us with him and we have the assurance that Jesus Christ will be with him until our reunion.
Survivors include his parents; paternal grandmother, Joan (Fran) Gavin of Pueblo West, Colo.; paternal grandfather, Lyle W. (Emily) Butzke of Hartford; paternal great-grandmother Viola Butzke of West Bend; three aunts, Kim (Marcelo) Aguilera, Sherry Fischer and Kathy (Cal) Tharp; three uncles, Jeff (Debby) Butzke, John Fischer and Mike (Jorie) Fischer; and 10 cousins.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, John and Elaine Fischer, and an aunt, Jody K. Butzke.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church.
The Mach Funeral Chapel, Fond du Lac, is serving the family.

Carol M. Pozorski, 64
Carol M. Pozorski, nee Killa, of West Bend, died Monday, March 20, 2000, at her residence, at the age of 64.
She was born Dec. 25, 1935, in Milwaukee, to the late Clarence and LaVern (nee White) Killa.
After her marriage to Donald "Red" Pozorski on Jan. 7, 1956, at St. Hedwig Church, Milwaukee, the couple settled in Milwaukee until 1970 when they came to West Bend.
Carol was very active with the former West Bend Patriots Drum & Bugle Corps for 10 years, serving as uniform manager, head cook and also the booster club.
She also volunteered for the "I Can Cope" and the "Living with Cancer" groups for many years.
Her husband passed away May 12, 1996.
Survivors include three children, Roger (Patricia), Tammy (Richard) Gorski and Sandra Pozorski, all of West Bend; six grandchildren, Melanie (Ryan) Krepski, Elizabeth, Katie and Anthony Pozorski, Matthew and Mallory Gorski; four great-grandchildren, Natalie and Parker Krepsky and Olivia and Abigail Pozorski; two sisters, Rosemary (Ted) Glorioso of Mequon and Susan (Gene) Fierst of Waterford; two brothers, Jim (Jackie) White and Robert Killa, both of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church. Father Patrick Wendt will be the presider, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until an 8 p.m. prayer vigil, and also Thursday morning until the time of services.

Ida Caroline Hoppe
Funeral services were held A funeral service was held on Thursday at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Ida Caroline Hoppe, 83, who died on March 12, 2000. Rev. Pete Peterson officiated at the ceremony. Burial was at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Mrs. Hoppe was born March 6, 1917 in Milwaukee, daughter of Anton and Mary (nee Kilbirth) Potzer. She married Howard F. Hoppe on Aug. 10, 1938 in Milwaukee and worked as a homemaker.
Survivors include: husband Howard Hoppe of Mequon; sons Charles Hoppe of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Richard Hoppe of Mequon; and sister Francis Ferber of West Bend.
Further survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rosemary Terwelp
A celebration of life service was held Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton for Rosemary Terwelp, 56, of Grafton, who died March 13, 2000. Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, Thiensville, assisted the family with arrangements.
Survivors include: husband Michael G. Terwelp of Grafton; daughters Wendy (James Steinert) Terwelp and Kristin Terwelp; son Michael (Julie) Terwelp; granddaughter Katerina; sister Jean (Donald) Schneider.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ovarian Cancer National Alliance or Women’s Intercultural Center appreciated.

Evelyn Pfeifer, 93
Evelyn Pfeifer, nee Mueller, of Hartford, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2000, at the Hartford Care Center at the age of 93.
She was born Nov. 29, 1906, in Allenton, to the late Philip and Louisa (nee Mechenich) Mueller, and married Nick Pfeifer on May 18, 1926, at Holy Hill.
Evelyn worked for 22 years at Vogelsang's, and was a member of St. Lawrence Church.
Survivors include two sons, Anton of Hartford and Ruben (Ramona) of St. Lawrence; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Pfeifer of St. Lawrence; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Agnes Mueller and Marie Breuer, both of Hartford, Isabelle Breuer and Vivian Hammermeister, both of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1965; two sons, James and Wilbert; a grandson, James; a daughter-in-law, Lillian Pfeifer; three brothers, Ervin (Lucinda), Norman (Cecelia) and Arnold; a sister-in-law, Rose Schaefer, and a brother-in-law, Edgar Breuer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Church, St. Lawrence. Father Alois Van Beek will officiate, and interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Memorials to the family are appreciated.
The Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, is assisting the family.

Herbert O. Voigt, 85
Herbert O. Voigt, 85, formerly of the town of Osceola, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home.
He was born in the town of Osceola on Aug. 11, 1914, to the late Carl and Rosa Kutz Voigt, was baptized on Sept. 6, 1914, and confirmed on May 27, 1928 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Dundee, where he was a lifelong member.
In his early years he worked on various farms an then later as a mason and as a painter and for a short time at Regal Ware in Kewaskum.
He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two sisters, Anna Kumrow of Kewaskum and Erma (Ernest) Haegler of Campbellsport; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Arnold and Walter, a sister, Elsie Thompson, and a half-brother, Lawrence Polzean.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 22, at 1:30 p.m., at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Dundee. Rev. Richard Schliewe will officiate, and burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery..
Visitation at the church will be Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
The Twohig Funeral home, Campbellsport, is serving the family.

Donald C. McElroy, 66
Donald C. McElroy, 66, of Adell, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at the Beechwood Rest Home, where he had been a patient the past two and a half weeks.
He was born Feb. 25, 1934, in Adell, to the late Charles and Adalia Hintz McElroy, and graduated from Random Lake High School.
On Dec. 2, 1961, he married Karen Kohl, and the couple lived in Adell until moving to West Bend in 1974.
Donald operated a mink ranch near Adell for a number of years, and had been employed at Gilson Brothers in Plymouth, Simplicity in Port Washington and for over 17 years in the water conditioning business for Culligan, and operating his own business.
He was associated with Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Adell.
Mac had also played in the Adell Softball League and coached softball while in West Bend.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Marjorie) of Grand Blanc, Mich. and Daniel (Wendy) of Eagle; two daughters, Julie McElroy (fiance Larry Becker) and Kelly (Steven) Winkler, both of West Bend; four grandchildren, Ryan, Maggie and Curtis McElroy and Eric McElroy; a sister, Delores (George) Saemann of Sheboygan Falls; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, at 7 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Adell. Pastor Bryan Osladil will officiate, and burial will be in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call the church Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
A memorial fund will be established in Don's name for the Adell Senior Center and the Beechwood Rest Home.
The Wittkopp Funeral Service, Plymouth, is serving the family.

Sherman C. Carr, 83
Sherman C. Carr, 83, of Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 10, 1917, in Marion, Ind., to the late Charles and Ethel (nee Lew) Carr, and married Marianne Fara on Feb. 7, 1942, at Holy Trinity Church, Newburg.
He was a member of the National Guard of Wisconsin 121st Field Artillery, 32nd Division.
Sherman served in active federal service in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He taught radio procedure to the Air Force at Truax Field, Madison, before entering the Navy in World War II.
After service he was employed as a radio operator for a ship-to-shore station in Port Washington.
Sherman was a broadcast engineer with WTMJ, the Milwaukee Journal radio station, and was affiliated with the building of WTMJ-FM. He built the Hartford Radio Station WTKM; the first broadcast was in 1951.
Sherman was also employed with The West Bend Co., Outboard Motors, and Chrysler Outboard Motors as an electrical engineer. Later, he worked part time as emergency director for Washington County and then full time as director , retiring in 1989.
Sherman was an amateur radio operator for many years. He operated a phone patch communication system for the Circus Train and served for more than 30 years with outstanding contributions in the creation of the Ham Radio Skywarn program in Wisconsin, which helped protect the public from severe weather threats for many years, thus receiving the National Weather Service honors.
He was a member of the Courtney-Carr-Milner American Legion Post 19.
Sherman's trip of a lifetime occurred 12 years ago when he sailed back to the United States from Sidney, Australia with his son, Michael, who was posted aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter "Glacier."
Sherman operated the "ham shack," patching ham phone calls through to loved ones from those aboard.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael of Milwaukee and Sheldon (Shirley) of West Bend; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Richard; five step-grandchildren, Charles, Kevin, Cheryl, Ryan and Kristin; two sisters, Betty Willette of Beaver Dam and Jean Waege of Tomah; two sisters-in-law, LaVerne Polyak of West Bend and Therese Carr of Hartford; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Memorials to St. Kilian's Building Fund, Hartford, or the American Heart Association, are appreciated.
