Joan Sigler
Funeral services were held reA memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, for Joan Sigler, 68, who died on March 29, 2000. Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, assisted the family with arrangements. Mrs. Sigler was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Cedarburg Chapter.
Survivors include: husband George N. Sigler; daughters Linda (Richard) Heebuer, Annette (Michael) Moloney, Barbara; sons Allan Sigler, Paul (Joan) Sigler, Jed Sigler, Joe (Gale) Sigler.
Further survived by 14 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been put aside to continue the donation of the American flag to be placed each year in the park where she resided in Florida.

Leo G. Hall
Leo G. Hall, 73, of Campbellsport, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
He was born Aug. 4, 1926, in the town of Ashford, to the late Michael and Tillie (Berg) Hall, and on Sept. 27, 1952, married Lonie Beck at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Campbellsport.
He farmed in the town of Auburn, and also worked as a milk tester for the Farmers Union.
Leo was a member of St. Matthew's Church, Campbellsport, greatly enjoyed hunting and gambling, and was an ardent Green Bay Packer fan. He also enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Andy (Monica) of Lodi, Al (Ellen) and Art (Mary), both of Campbellsport; two daughters, Joan (Dennis) Oppermann of Campbellsport and Jean (Bob) Kleist of West Bend; nine grandchildren, Heather, Kevin, Jake, Jackie, Jenny, Jodi, Becky, Angie and Dan; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Kylie; two brothers, Barney (June) and Gerald (Elaine), both of Campbellsport; two sisters, Agnes (Roland) Bauman of Campbellsport and Marie (David) Duley of Fond du Lac; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Campbellsport, following a prayer service at 10 a.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport.
Rev. Francis Malloy will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Norman G. Leege
Norman C. Leege, 95, of West Bend, formerly of Clearwater, Fla. and Oconomowoc, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
He was born March 19, 1904, in Maplewood, Wis., to the late Gustav and Marie (nee Wessel) Leege, was raised in Forestville, Wis., and attended Algoma High School.
After his marriage to Ella L. Benesh on May 7, 1932, in Milwaukee, the couple lived in Wauwatosa and later moved to Oconomowoc, retiring to Clearwater, Fla.
He was the production manager for Black Hawk Mfg. of Milwaukee and later the owner/operator of Cooney Liquor Mart of Oconomowoc for over 10 years, retiring in the mid 1960s.
His wife passed away Aug. 27, 1990.
Survivors include five children, James (Mary) of West Bend, Elizabeth (Walt) Roeser of Lakeland, Fla., Thomas (Carolyn) of Couer D'Alene, Idaho, John (Elsa) of Las Cruces,N.M. and William (Sherilyn) of Oconto; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Kathleen; a great-grandson, Robert and a brother, Elmer.
He was a past member of the Oconomowoc Lions Club.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 8, at 10 a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend, with Sister Annette Koss of Kimberly officiating. Inurnment will be in the town of Forest Village Cemetery in Maplewood.
A special thanks to Cedar Lake Health Care Center and its staff for all the care, love and compassion they gave.

Harold M. Hauser
Harold M. Hauser, 86, of the town of Polk (Jackson), died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
He was born March 27, 1914, in Rubicon, to the late Bernard and Anna (nee Christ) Hauser, and married Frieda W. Kaehny on June 27, 1942, at St. Mary's Church, town of Richfield.
Harold served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Harold is the beloved husband of 57 years of Frieda; cherished father and grandfather of Trudy, Brian, Michelle and Christine Kramer; Tom (Cheryl), Michael and Elizabeth Hauser; Peggy (John) Johnson; John (Bonny) and Katie Hauser; Tim (Yvonne) Kozina, Juli and Ryan Spoerl, Christopher Kozina; Mark (Pat), Jenny and Krista Hauser; devoted brother-in-law of John Kaehny; loved by brothers and sisters, Sr. Margaret Hauser, SSSF, Camille Walker, Marie (Ted) Werner, Raymond Hauser and Bernard (Elaine). Hauser. Further survived by a brother-in-law, Joseph Kelly; a sister-in-law, Pearl Hauser; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Sr. Bernadette Hauser, SSSF and Anna Kelly, and a brother, Edward Hauser.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church.
Father Jeffrey Haines will be the presider, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. West Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Frances Cabrini Building Campaign.
Special thanks to all the nurses and staff at St. Joseph's Community Hospital of West Bend for the loving care given to Harold in his last days.

Clara M. Martin
Clara M. Martin, nee Martin, of West Bend, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, at the age of 92.
She was born Aug. 14, 1907, in the town of Addison, to the late John and Susan (nee Britten) Martin, and married Albert J. Martin on June 20, 1928, at Holy Angels Church, West Bend.
Albert passed away March 5, 1986.
Following their marriage, the couple settled in the town of Wayne where they farmed until retiring in 1955. They remained on the farm until moving to West Bend in the mid 1980s.
She loved gardening, crocheting, baking and playing cards.
Clara was a member of the St. Anthony's Ladies Society.
Survivors include four children, Victoria (Roland) Ruplinger of West Bend, Lloyd (Evelyn) Martin of Kewaskum, Valeria Baier of Campbellsport and Shirley Martin of West Bend; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Pauline Martin of Fredonia; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Janice Schield; a son-in-law, Francis Baier; six brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, at 11:30 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Father Gerald Brittain will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 p.m. until a prayer vigil at 8 p.m., and also Saturday from 10 a.m. until the services.

Amelia M. Wittmann
Amelia M. Wittmann, nee Ardai, of West Bend, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, at the age of 74.
She was born April 7, 1925, in Washington D.C., to the late Henry and Maria (nee Szauberer) Ardai, and graduated in 1947 from Ben Franklin University in Washington D.C., with a BS degree in accounting.
On Dec. 26, 1947, she married Ludwig Wittmann in Fairfax County, Va., and shortly thereafter, they settled in West Bend where they raised their four boys.
Amelia was very active with the former West Bend Patriots Drum and Bugle Corps where she started its first meal program called "Amelia's Meals on Wheels," cooking in roasters and electric frying pans.
She was a very active volunteer in many community organizations and served as the school crossing guard at South Main and Chestnut streets for more than 25 years.
She especially enjoyed helping first-graders at Fair Park School with the Partners in Reading Program.
Survivors include four sons, Michael (Janet) of Aurora, Ill., Steven (Mary) or Oregon, Wis., Donald (Cathy) of Kewaskum and James (Mary) of West Bend; five special grandchildren, Brenda, Matthew, Bryan, Jill and Tyler; a sister, Rosita Graff-Messerli of Pompano Beach, Fla.; five sisters-in-law, Elaine Ardai and Mary Ardai, both of Falls Church, Va., Vivian Ardai of Middleton, Barbara (Harry) Husting of Venice, Fla. and Joan (Francis) Janous of Madison, S.D.; a brother-in-law, Heinz (Caroline) Puff of Arbor Vitae; other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband on April 16, 1990; three sisters, Helen, Stephania and Mary; and three brothers, Joseph, Frank and Henry.
Visitation at Holy Angels Church, West Bend, will be Friday, April 7, from 4 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m.
Father Jerry Repenshek will be the presider, and burial will be Saturday in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.

Rosemary K. Steffen, 72
Rosemary K. Steffen, nee Schmidt, formerly of West Bend, found eternal peace on Monday, April 3, 2000, at the age of 72.
She was the beloved wife of George for 49 years; loving mother of Debbie (Dave) Elliott of Grafton, Pam (Dave) Hozie of Streator, Ill., Patty Steffen of Thiensville, Mark (Lisa) of Jackson, Michelle Steffen of West Allis and Michael Steffen of Mequon; proud grandmother of Bryan and Chris Steffen, Jason, Matt and Mike Elliott, Scott Hozie, Ben (Angie) Steffen and Eric Steffen, Dana, Shari and Cassie Steffen, Tony and Diana Steffen and Ryan and Randy Steffen; dear sister of Mary Ann Kissinger of West Bend, Violet (Linus) Becker of Minocqua, Doris (Harold) Gauger of West Bend, Phyllis Gahagan of Brookfield, and Marvin (Dolores) Schmidt of West Allis.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Sherry, and brothers, Donnie and Harold.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, after 11 a.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, with the service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
The Church and Chapel Funeral Service is assisting the family.
