Mary McGinnis, 68
A funeral Mass was held Wednesday morning at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Cedarburg, for Mary McGinnis, 68, who died April 16, 2000.
Fr. Ed Wawrzyniakowski officiated at the service, with burial at Allouez Cemetery, Green Bay. Arrangements were handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Mrs. McGinnis was born in Green Bay on Dec. 5, 1931, daughter of Leo and Ivorine (nee Otto) DeGreef. She married Jerome McGinnis on April 24, 1954 in Green Bay.
Mrs. McGinnis worked as a homemaker, and attended St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Cedarburg.
She is survived by her husband Jerome McGinnis of Cedarburg; sons Timothy (Linda) McGinnis of Mequon and Jerome (Dawn) McGinnis of Merton; daughter Kathy (Jim) Schmidt of Cedarburg; brothers Leo DeGreef of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Phillip (Marilyn) DeGreef of Burlington; grandchildren Daniel, Kellie and Kimberly McGinnis, all of Mequon, Jennifer and Justin Schmidt, both of Cedarburg, Jessica, Jerome and Shannon McGinnis, all of Merton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Vincent DePaul Society would be appreciated.

Evelyn Erovick, 75
A funeral service was held yesterday at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton for Evelyn Erovick, 75, who died on April 15, 2000. Rev. Robert E. Johnson officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton. Burial was at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Grafton.
Mrs. Erovick was born Nov. 11, 1924 in Adams, N.D., daughter of Oscar and Mabel (nee Johnson) Roterud. She married Lawrence Erovick on Feb. 14, 1942 in Park River, N.D. and worked as a homemaker.
Survivors include: daughters Jean Ledezma of Milwaukee, Yvonne (Pat) Curtiss of Atlanta, Ga., Barbara Erovick of McQueeny, Texas, Janet Van Deurzen of Mequon and Elida Erovick of Bloomingdale, Ill.; son Dennis Erovick of Grafton.
Further survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, and son, Lawrence Jr.

Francis W. Doyle, 89
A memorial service will be held Monday for Francis W. Doyle, 89, who died April 16, 2000 at her Cedarburg home.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Charles Turbin to officiate at the 7 p.m. service. Arrangements are being handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Mr. Doyle was born June 1, 1910 in Washington, D.C., son of William and Lila Mae Edmonston. He married Ellen Anderle on Aug. 27, 1965.
Mr. Doyle was a lieutenant colonel in the Army during World War II, after serving in the ROTC at Purdue University. An engineer by trade, he worked for Waukesha Motors and Perfex Corp. After retiring, he worked for more than 20 years for Doig Manufacturing.
A mason, Mr. Doyle attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Survivors include his wife Ellen Doyle of Cedarburg; son Steven (Barbara) Doyle of Bedford, Mass.; daughter Linda (George) McCabe of West Lafayette, Ind.; stepsons Brian (Teri) Scheunemann of Cedarburg and Paul (Mary Jo) Scheunemann of Hartford; sister Bette Carmichael of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren Jeffrey (Cathy) Doyle of North Carolina, Sarah, Eve, Erin, George Jr. and Sean McCabe, all of West Lafayette, Ind., Tara and Jason Scheunemann, both of Cedarburg, Jessica and Rebecca Scheunemann, both of Hartford; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Visiting Nurses Association of Wisconsin would be appreciated.

Joan M. Landrath, 55
Joan M. Landrath, nee Beilke, 55, of the village of Eden, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 12, 1944, in Theresa, to Garhardt and Leona (nee Hoepner) Beilke, and raised in Mayville, graduating from Mayville High School in 1963.
After her marriage to Frederick J. Landrath on May 9, 1964, in Campbellsport, the couple lived in West Bend, Mayville, Campbellsport and St. Could, settling in Eden.
Survivors include her husband; five children, Richard of Eden, Kim (Gerald) Gremminger and Fred Jr., both of West Bend, Lore (Ron Jr.) Shaver of Fond du Lac and Michael of Eden; her mother, Leona Beilke of West Bend; her mother-in-law, Kathryn Landrath of West Bend; seven grandchildren; a sister, Caroline (Charles) Schalinske of Mayville; two brothers, Gilbert of West Bend and Gary (Dorothy) of Marquette Mich.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her father, Garhardt, and her father-in-law, William Landrath.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, with Pastor Byron O'Connor officiating. Cremation will take place at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac, with interment of ashes in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials are appreciated.

Loretta Altschaefl Metz, 81
Loretta M. Altschaefl Metz, nee Boden, of West Bend, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, at the age of 81.
She was born Aug. 29, 1918, in Nabob, to the late Joseph and Mary (nee Doll) Boden.
On May 4, 1935, she was united in marriage to Joseph D. Altschaefl at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Nabob. Together they farmed near Nabob until he passed away on April 9, 1959.
After Loretta married Joseph P. Metz on May 20, 1961, at Holy Hill, they settled in West Bend. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1991.
Survivors include a son, Joseph G. (Ruth) Altschaefl of West Bend; two stepdaughters, Joanne (Gerald) Guldan of Saukville and Patricia Metz of West Bend; four grandchildren, Jo Ellen (Eric) Selsing of Lincoln, Mass., Michael (Mary) Altschaefl of Brookfield, Holly (Tim) Nennig of Grafton and Ann (Jon) Dommisse of West Bend; four step-grandchildren, Beth (Phillip) Sasso of Melrose Park, Ill., Pam Guldan of Grafton, Debbie (Steve) Brahm of Muskego and Meg Guldan of Milwaukee; 13 great-grandchildren, Justine, Brandon, George, Rebecca, Katherine, Margaret, Elizabeth, Bailey, Sadie, Alex, Lucas, Logan and Morgan; three step-great-grandchildren Phillip Jr., Isaac and Samuel; four sisters-in-law, Thecla Boden, Josephine Wardius and Frances Helf, all of West Bend, and Dorothy Heaney of Appleton; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Edgar.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 24, at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend. Rev. Michael Petersen will be the presider, and burial will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Mathias Cemetery in Nabob.
Visitation at the church only will be Monday from 5 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the St. Frances Cabrini Education Fund.
The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.

Helen J. Blood, 85
Helen J. Blood, nee Smith, of West Bend, formerly of Hendersonville, N.C., died Monday, April 17, 2000, at the age of 85.
She was born June 4, 1914, in Milwaukee, to the late Osmore and Ena (nee Heuer) Smith, and married Douglass Kennedy Blood on May 16, 1938 in Shorewood. He preceded her in death.
She was the dear mother of Douglass K. "Ken" (Marty), David R. and Christine (James) Bastian Hill; beloved grandmother of John Douglass and Anne Kennedy Blood and Laurel Katherine, Jennifer Helen and Erin Elizabeth Bastian; cherished sister of Enid Collins and sister-in-law of Hellen Allison. She is further survived by a niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Jean Symes.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, at noon at The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend. Cremation will take place at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens, 5879 S. 92nd St., Hales Corners, Wis. 53130.
To the angelic women and men of Cedar Campuses and Cove 1: We can never repay you for your loving kindness and care for Mom. You gave her 12 years of your thoughts, prayers and wonderful deeds. We will be eternally grateful for your presence in her life.

Arnold W. Sauer, 85
Arnold W. Sauer, 85, of West Bend, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center.
He was born May 3, 1914, in the town of Addison, to the late Carl and Catherine (nee Kreilkamp) Sauer.
After his marriage to Imelda Zimmel on May 20, 1939, at Holy Angels Church, West Bend, the couple settled in West Bend.
Arnie was employed at Amity Leather Products for 30 years prior to becoming the maintenance foreman for the Washington County Courthouse, which he did for 20 years, retiring in 1979.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Barbara (Robert) Puerling of Tomahawk, Robert (Barbara) of West Bend and Richard (Karen) of Verona; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Alice Benike of West Bend; three sisters-in-law, Marion Zimmel and Irene Goeden, both of West Bend, and Rosie Peterson of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Dan (Virginia) Goeden of Mauston; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Father Jeffrey Haines will be the presider, and burial will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials may be given to the St. Frances Cabrini Education Fund or to St. Frances Cabrini Building Fund.

James L. Steele, 49
James L. Steele, 49, of Iron Ridge, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at his home.
He was born Oct. 12, 1950, in Oconomowoc, to the late William Sr. and Gertrude Steele.
He married Sally A. Tracy on Jan. 18, 2000.
Jim lived in Iron Ridge for 21 years and worked at International Stamping in Hartford.
He was a devout Christian, involved in home ministry for many years, and always made time for those who needed his help.
He served his country in the Vietnam conflict in the Black Horse of the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment., and belonged to VFW Post 8834 in Hartford.
Jim was a loving husband and a devoted dad. He will be remembered for his many strengths, his truths and his wisdom. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Lisa (Luke) Guenther of Milwaukee and Denise Steele of Madison. He is the dearest son-in-law of Emma Tracy of Germantown. He is also survived by his brothers, Jerry Steele of Hustisford and Lyle Steele of Grafton; his sisters, Gloria (Gerald) Jerold of Milwaukee and Ginny Nieto of Texas. He is the proud grandfather of Payton Persinger, and dearest uncle of Danny (Nancy) Steele of Fox Lake and Billy Steele of Madison. Also surviving are two stepchildren; two step-grandchildren; other nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
Preceding him in death were several brothers and a sister.
Visitation at the Berndt Funeral Home, 150 W. Oak Grove St., Juneau, will be Saturday, April 22, from noon until funeral services at 3 p.m. Pastor Stanley McIntyer will officiate, and military honors will be conducted under the auspices of VFW Post 8834.
Interment will be private.
The Berndt Funeral Home of Hartford is serving the family.
