Alan J. "Al" Weninger, 49
Alan J. "Al" Weninger of Three Lakes and formerly of West Bend died on Thursday, April 27, 2000 at his residence at the age of 49 years. He was born to Joseph (Ethel Spaeth) Weninger on August 2, 1950 in Hartford.
He was raised in Jackson and attended St. Frances Cabrini Grade School and was a graduate of Slinger High School’s class of 1968. He served with the US Navy during the Vietnam Era and then later attended the Universityof Wisconsin Washington County.
He moved to Three Lakes in 1979 and was employed as a carpenter with various contractors and recently with Gary Schultz Construction for over 20 years.
He was an avid fisherman and loved playing horseshoes with the local horseshoe league.
Survivors include his parents; five brothers, Jerome (Betty) of St. Croix, VI, Bruce (Carolyn) of Kewaskum, Ronald of Slinger, Thomas (Yvonne) of Jackson, and Brian of West Bend; six sisters, Joanne (Mike) Schmitz of Rolla, MO, Donna (Mike) Patik of DeForest, Nancy (Tom) O’Neal of LaCrosse, Karen (Dan) Vogt of Hartford, Lois Weninger of Slinger, and Elizabeth (John) Maczuzak of Sheboygan; 11 nieces 13 nephews; two great-neices; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 1, 2000 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Slinger with closing of the casket prayers at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Father Robert J. Bales will be officiating.

Thomas E. Michael, 50
Thomas E. Michael of West Bend died Thursday, April 27, 2000 in Las Vegas at the age of 50 years.
He was born to Edward (LeVon Mayer) Michael on July 26, 1949 in Waukesha. He married Margaret Marge (nee Wiedmeyer) on August 4, 1984 at St. James Episcopal Church.
He attended Waukesha High School graduating with the class of 1967. He then attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout graduating in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in science.
He taught at Moraine Park Technical College in West Bend for 20 years and then became associate dean for two years and has been the dean of manufacturing technologies and apprenticeship for four year.
He was a member of Masonic lodge F&AM of WI #138, former Junior Warden in the church with his wife, he was a Junior Girl Scout Leader for Troop #28 in West Bend. He enjoyed traveling, race cars, camping, theatre and cooking.
Survivors include his mother LeVon Raymond of Baileys Harbor; his wife Margaret; two children, Michael and Michelle both of West Bend; four sisters, Linda Sklenar of Appleton, Diana Nikas of Long Beach, CA, Cynthia (Keith) Klein of Menomonee Falls, Barbara (Daniel) Bonville of Waukesha; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church of West Bend with the Rev. Martha Berger officiating.
Interment of ashes will take place at St. James Episcopal Church in the Columbarium.
Visitation will be at the church from 3 p.m. until the services on Wednesday, May 3, 2000.
Memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association or St. James Episcopal Church.

Aleata L. Fischer
Aleata L. Fischer, nee Schauer, of Hartford, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2000, at the Hartford Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Hartford to the late Arthur and Minnie (nee Radtke) Schauer, and married Martin Fischer on Oct. 24, 1942, in the Methodist Church, Hartford.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hartford. She loved fishing and hunting.
Survivors include a sister, Lois Arnsmeyer of Hartford; a brother-in-law, Herman Fischer; two nephews, William (Christine) Koepsell of Hartford and Charles Koepsell (friend Linda) of Montello; a niece, Esther (Al) Beyer of Clintonville; two great-nieces, Julia (Michael) Raether of Theresa and Nicole (Greg) Ritger of Neosho; a great-great-niece, Ashley and a great-great-nephew, Nathan; other relatives and friends.
Her husband passed away in 1979.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26 at 6 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford. Rev. David Beckstrom will officiate, and inurnment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Jamie W. Presley, 77
Jamie W. Presley, 77, of West Bend, died Thursday, April 20, 2000 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
He was born on Aug. 16, 1922 in Caroll County, Tenn. to the late Frank J. and Mamie M. (nee Moore) Presley. He grew up in Caroll County, graduating from McLemoresville, Tenn. High School. In 1942 he entered the United States Army, serving in World War II.
He married Joy J. Schneider on June 15, 1946 after moving to the West Bend area.
Jamie was employed by Wisconsin Electric Power Co. At the time of his retirement, following 37 years of employment, he was a line crew foreman in overhead construction.
Having a farm background, he maintained a lifetime interest in fine horses, especially Tennessee Walkng horses. He raised some exceptional ones, including his favorite, Presley's Tom Frost.
He was a long-time member and past Master of the West Bend Lodge #138 F. & A. M., Lt. Ray Dickop Post #36 American Legion, EMBA and Immanuel United Church of Christ since 1947.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Joy; four children, Stanley (Eileen) of Wausau, Scarlett (Charles Maloney) Presley of Madison, Holly Presley and Paige (Cindy) both of West Bend; six grandchildren, Cody Renee Blank, Amanda Jo Blank, Erin Joy Presley Leigh Ellen Presley, Dylan James Presley and Nicole Schmidt; one sister, Mary Lou Johnson of McKenzie, Tenn.; one sister-in-law Pearl (the late Vern) Lezotte of Onalaska; two nephews, William Paul (Geneva) Johnson of McKenzie, Tenn. and Jeff (Judi) Lezotte of Onalaska; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Joey Presley, and one brother, Leon.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24 at 8 p.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ with Rev. James Eckblad officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation will be at the church only on Monday from 4 p.m. until the Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m.
The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.

Arnold W. Sauer, 85
Arnold W. Sauer, 85, of West Bend, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center.
He was born May 3, 1914, in the town of Addison, to the late Carl and Catherine (nee Kreilkamp) Sauer.
After his marriage to Imelda Zimmel on May 20, 1939, at Holy Angels Church, West Bend, the couple settled in West Bend.
Arnie was employed at Amity Leather Products for 30 years prior to becoming the maintenance foreman for the Washington County Courthouse, which he did for 20 years, retiring in 1979.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Barbara (Robert) Puerling of Tomahawk, Robert (Barbara) of West Bend and Richard (Karen) of Verona; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Alice Benike of West Bend; three sisters-in-law, Marion Zimmel and Irene Goeden, both of West Bend, and Rosie Peterson of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Dan (Virginia) Goeden of Mauston; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Father Jeffrey Haines will be the presider, and burial will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Evelyn M. Anderson, 79
Evelyn M. Anderson, nee Menck, 79,of West Bend, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at Columbia Hospital, Milwaukee.
She was born June 26, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Frederick and Clara (nee Oliney) Menck, and married Robert Anderson on Dec. 11, 1938, in Clinton, Iowa.
Her husband passed away on March 26, 1995.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Jack) Sanborn of Milwaukee, Sandra (Vernon) Schmidt and Judith (Jack) Chaltry, both of West Bend; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frieda Morcan of Oklahoma, Dorothy (Harold) Hilton of Michigan and Esther (Richard) Healy of Michigan; a brother-in-law, Clarence Casebeer of Texas; a special friend and neighbor, Robert Neumann of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Arlene "Winnie" Phelps and Doris Casebeer, and a brother, Fred.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 2, at 2:30 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Victor Hackbarth will officiate, and entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from noon until the time of services.
Memorials to the American Heart Association are appreciated.

Rosalie B. Beck, 87
Rosalie B. Beck, nee Heindl, 87, of West Bend, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born June 24, 1912, in the town of Trenton, to the late Andrew and Agnes (nee Proschinger) Heindl, and for a short time was employed at Amity Leather Products Co.
After her marriage to Eugene L. Beck on June 19, 1937, at Holy Trinity Church, Newburg, the couple moved to West Bend where she lived until the time of her death.
Rosalie enjoyed flower gardening and sewing.
She was a member of the Christian Women's Confraternity and the Mission Circle 41.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Sr. Mary Beck SSND of Milwaukee, Sr. Rose Beck SSND of Pinon, Ariz., Kathleen Krans of West Bend and Andrew (Charlotte) of Hilbert; six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two sons in infancy; a son-in-law, Richard Krans; a sister and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend, with Father Jerome Repenshek as the presider. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Friday from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be given to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund.
The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.
