Ludwig E. Oresnik, 72
Ludwig E. Oresnik, 72, of West Bend, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Milwaukee, to the late Frank and Louise (nee Erhardt) Oresnik, and married Fay M. Fuller on April 23, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend.
Ludwig was employed at The West Bend Co. for a time, and then at the former Line Material for 18 years prior to becoming a drywaller with the Milwaukee Carpenter's Union until retiring in 1984.
His hobbies included repairing small engines, bowling and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Vickie (Bill) Ludwig of Kewaskum and Wayne (Brenda) of West Bend; a daughter-in-law, Vicky Oresnik of West Bend; nine grandchildren, Shawn Oresnik, Cory (Charles) Metz, Jody (Corrine) Ludwig, Jesse Oresnik, Tracy Oresnik, Denise (Charles Bishop) Ludwig, Amy Oresnik, Wayne Oresnik and Brittany Simons; seven great-grandchildren Marty Oresnik, Michael Ludwig, Zachary Shipley, Carolanne Bishop, Lindsey Ludwig, Maggie Metz and Kailey Bishop; four sisters, Laverne Weare, Mary (Frank) Syzpek and Louise Kreis, all of Milwaukee, and Frances (Bill) Berg of Adams County; two brothers, William (Karen) of West Bend and Charles (Joyce) of Milwaukee; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Gail Oresnik; a son, Ludwig; three sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with Rev. David Schoob of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
Cremation will follow with inurnment in Washington County Memorial Park.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 6:45 p.m.

Glenn W. Muenster, 68
Glenn W. Muenster, 68, of West Bend died Friday, May 5, 2000, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee.
He was born Nov. 17, 1931, to Clarence and Laura (Feistel) Muenster in Appleton and married Donna M. (Carney) on Oct. 26, 1961, at Freedom.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict as a helicopter pilot stationed in Haiti.
He retired after 28 years at Texaco Oil Co., and was currently employed as a consultant for Condon Oil Co. of Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Donna of West Bend; three children, Mickey (Joan) Muenster of West Bend, Kim (Bob) Liebetrau of West Bend and Kristie (Tom) Carlson of Kildeer, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Ross, Morgan, Joey, Mallory, Taylor, Corey and Nicholas; one brother, Wayne (Ginny) Muenster of Seymour; three sisters, Carol (Ron) Kressin of Three Lakes, Jean (Bill) Errington of Appleton and Judy Gonnering of Neenah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother-in-law, Ves Gonnering.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend, with Father Jeffrey Haines officiating.
Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 11.
Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.

Jason Anton Malchek Sr.
Jason Anton Malchek Sr. of Beaver Dam passed away on May 5, 2000. He was 25 years old.
He was born on March 3, 1975, in Hartford, to parents Walter Jr. and Betty (nee Pankow) Malchek. He married Rebecca Brashear on June 3, 1995 at Randolph Ev. Free Lutheran Church.
Jason graduated from Mayville High School in 1993. He was employed as a welder at Maysteel in Mayville.
He was a member of Evangelical Free Church in Randolph. He was a former member of the American Motorcycle Association. He loved video games, movies, working on cars and jet skiing. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his son Jordan. Jason was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca of Fox Lake; one son, Jordan; his parents, Walter (Betty) Malchek of Beaver Dam; three sisters, Tonya (William) Polley of Mayville, Jennifer (Roger) Brown of Deerfield, and Keri (Keith Kastein) Malchek of Beaver Dam; grandmother, Ann Pankow of Mayville; mother and father-in-law, William (Judy) Brashear of Fox Lake; uncle, Kenneth (Carol) Pankow of Mayville; three aunts, Dorothy (Dennis) Portz of Mayville; Barbara (Daniel) Kutzke of Neosho and Sun Malchek-Troeller of Slinger; and two special friends, Brian Feilbach and Thad Miszewski. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jason Jr. in 1994; paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather and one uncle.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 10 at 1 p.m. at Randolph Ev. Free Church with Rev. Gary Zacharius officiating. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial at Graceland Cemetery, Mayville.
Memorials may be directed to Jordan's Trust Fund.
Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, is serving the family.

Elmer E. Epson
Elmer E. Epson of Winter Haven, Fla. passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2000.
He was 92 years old.
He was born on July 16, 1907 in Deerbrook. He moved to Winter Haven in 1966.
Elmer was the retired manager for Jones Enterprises, Auburndale.
He was a member of Winter Haven Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Masonic and Shriners in Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Dale D. Epson and Donald G. Epson; and his wife, Marie, who died Feb. 26, 1998.
Private services were held. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The Berndt Funeral Home served the family.

Gordon Wagner, 62
Gordon Wagner, 62, of Elcho, a retired educator involved in local and senior citizen issues, died Sunday, May 7, at Wausau Hospital.
He was born Oct. 13, 1937, to the late Harvey and Lilly Wagner.
Mr. Wagner served as West Bend West High School principal from 1972-'77, and as principal of the Elcho school district prior to his retirement.
He was active in the Post Lake Improvement Association, the Post Lake District and the American Association for Retired Persons.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; a daughter, Laurie (Jim) Vogt of Mount Horeb; a son, Steve (Judi) of Germantown; a former exchange daughter, Brenda (Brad) Splitstosser of Green Bay; five grandchildren, Katie and Mike Wagner and David, Danny and Heidi Vogt.
He is further survived by two sisters, Esther Mangold of West Dundee, Ill. and Nancy Marshall of Jefferson; and two brothers, Harvey (Elaine) of Fort Atkinson and Ted of Dennison, Texas.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 15 at 1 p.m. at Elcho United Church of Christ.
A scholarship has been established in his name.

John F. McCormick, 78
A funeral service was held on Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton for John F. McCormick, 78, who died on May 5, 2000. Rev. John Suelflow officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton. Burial was at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Grafton.
Mr. McCormick was born Jan. 7, 1922 in Milwaukee, son of John and Rosalie (nee Roessl) McCormick. He married Alice Grunwald on Jan. 9, 1943 at Ephrada Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Mr. McCormick served in the U. S. Army. He worked as a plasterer for over 40 years, belonged to the former Local Union #138 and served 15 years in the repair division in the Milwaukee Public School System. He was also a member of the Red Arrow Club.
Survivors include: wife Alice McCormick, Grafton; sons John W. (Rose) McCormick of Newbury Park, Calif., James (Linda) McCormick of Alburquerque, N.M., Ronald (Rose Marie) McCormick of Manitowoc, Thomas (Laurie) McCormick of Menomonee Falls, Mark (Connie) McCormick of Fredonia and Randall McCormick of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter Maureen (Daniel) Sacho of Germantown; brother Roy (Catherine) McCormick of Green Bay; sister-in-law Genevieve McCormick of Fond du Lac; brother-in-law William (Shirley) Grunwald of Stuart, Fla.; grandchildren Bonnie, Kenneth, Kerry Ann, Ryan, Rebecca, Kelly, Kyle, Richard, Christopher, Jennifer, Aaron, Adam, Jeffrey, Heather and Matthew; great-grandchildren Stephanie, Christian and Anessa.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Earl.
Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church are appreciated.

Laura Krueger, 76
A funeral service was held on Saturday at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Hurley for Laura Krueger, 76, who died on May 2, 2000. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Upson. Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington assisted the family with arrangements.
Ms. Krueger was born Nov. 25, 1923 in the Town of Carey, daughter of Solomon and Esther (nee Weber) Enkkeli. She worked as a secretary and was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: sons William Krueger of Watertown, Alan (Janice) Krueger of Wausau, Glenn (Nola) Krueger of Grafton and Kevin Krueger of Milwaukee; daughter Marilyn (fiance Carlos Ducos) Krueger of Clermont, Fla.
Further survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Casandra Lynn Bradley, infant
Casandra Lynn Bradley, the infant daughter of Rick Bradley and Lynelle West, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
Survivors include her parents of Grafton; maternal grandparents, Dennis West of Campbellsport and Char West of West Bend; paternal grandparents, Alicia and Ronald Bradley of Concord,Mich.; great-grandparents, Roland and Dorothy Beine of Hartford and Frances Boyd of Concord, Mich.; aunts; uncles; other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 13, at 11:30 a.m. at Community Church, West Bend, with Pastor Kevin Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Marion M. Schwartz, 92
Marion M. Schwartz, nee Bauer, 92, of West Bend, died Thursday, May 11, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 2, 1907, in West Bend, to the late Phillip and Susan (nee Lorenz) Bauer, and married Benedict Schwartz on Nov. 8, 1933, at Holy Angels Church, West Bend.
Ben passed away on April 2, 1984.
Marion was a lifelong resident of West Bend. Her favorite past-times included gardening and painting pictures.
She was a charter member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish, the Christian Women's Confraternity and the West Bend Homemakers Club.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence A. (Shirley M.) of Kewaskum and James B. (Phyllis) of West Bend; five grandchildren, Scott, Kevin, Brian, Tricia and Tina; a great-grandson, Miles; a brother, Carl of West Bend; a sister, Florence (Jim) Jones of Glendale, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Florence Bauer of Brookfield; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Marlene; two sisters, Meta Theisen and Eleanor Bauer; and three brothers, Lawrence, Harold and Arthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, with Fr. Jeffrey Haines presiding. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.
Visitation at the church only will be Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
The family has asked that memorials be given to the Cedar Campuses or St. Frances Cabrini Parish.
The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.
Marion's family would like to extend a special Thank You to Pat Franke and the nursing staff at Cedar Lake Health Care Center for the care and kindness given to her these past few weeks, and also to Dr. Donald Muth for his personal touch.
