Jerome M. Stockhausen
Jerome M. Stockhausen, 87, of West Bend, was born to eternal life on Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center with his family at his side.
He was born May 8, 1913, in the town of Farmington, to the late John and Cecelia (nee Thull) Stockhausen.
At an early age the family moved to the West Bend area where he attended North Trenton School and Holy Angels Grade School.
Prior to his retirement in 1978, he was employed at the Washington County Highway Department for 43 years.
During this time, he also farmed part-time on the family farm for about 30 years.
In later years, he enjoyed babysitting for his grandchildren.
On Nov. 19, 1947, he was united in marriage to Marie E. Schladweiler at Holy Angels Church, West Bend.
Jerome was a devoted husband, a loving father and beloved grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was a former member of the Holy Name Society for many years, a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters Court 458 and St. Frances Cabrini Parish.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Joyce Wiegert (fiance Kevin Walsh) of West Bend, Janet Stockhausen of Madison and John (Diane) of West Bend; five grandchildren, Paul and Philip Wiegert, Elizabeth (Brian) Bourke and Brad and Ashley Stockhausen; two great-grandchildren, Katelynn and Connor Bourke; a sister, Bernadine Wollner of Thiensville; four brothers, Lawrence (Vivian), Cyril (Trautie), Vincent (Janet) and Merlin (Donna), all of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Francis; a sister-in-law, Veronica (Alex) Peters; two brothers-in-law, Ray Wollner Sr. and Leo (Hyacinth) Schladweiler; and a special nephew, Tom Wollner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Fr. Jeffrey Haines presiding.
Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the St. Frances Cabrini Education Fund, St. John's Lutheran School, The Threshold Sheltered Workshop or the Samaritan Health Center Activities Department.
The Schmidt Funeral of West Bend is serving the family.

Edwin W. Paskey
Edwin W. Paskey, 89, of Kewaskum, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility, Plymouth.
He was born Sept. 28, 1910, in the town of Chester, Dodge County, to the late William and Emma (Feuerhammer) Paskey, and married Bertha Bartelt on May 9, 1942, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum.
Prior to his retirement he was employed at The West Bend Co. for 22 years.
Mr. Paskey proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 of Kewaskum and St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha, a resident of Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility; a brother, Lawrence of Hustisford; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Walter, and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 21, at 3 p.m. at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum.
Rev. Edwin Fredrich will officiate, and burial with military graveside rites will follow in Campbellsport Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.
Friends may call at the church only on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to St. Lucas School are appreciated.
The Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, is serving the family.

Alta E. Marquardt
Alta E. Marquardt, 89, formerly of West Bend, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility, where she had been a resident the past four years.
She was born Sept. 22, 1910, in the town of Osceola, Fond du Lac County, to the late Emil and Anna (Rockow) Marquardt, and attended the Waucosta Grade School.
Alta lived in West Bend where she had been employed by The West Bend Co until retiring.
In retirement she made her home with her sister, Elaine Hodorff, in the town of Lyndon.
She was a member of the West Bend Quarter Century Club.
Alta traveled extensively in her life, including to all 50 states and Mexico.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Marquardt of the town of Lyndon; two nieces, Barb (Gene) Block of the town of Lyndon and Kathy (Vernon) Kitchen of Pinehurst, Idaho; two nephews, Mark (Bonnie) Hodorff of the town of Lyndon and Robert (Donna) Hodorff of Hartford; six great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Edna Marquardt and Elaine Hodorff.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, at 7 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. Rev. Thomas Fleischmann, special health care chaplain of Sheboygan County, will officiate, and inurnment will be in Campbellsport Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
A memorial fund will be established in Alta's name for the Rocky Knoll Auxiliary for the new chapel.
Alta's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Rocky Knoll for their loving care, and also the doctors at the Sheboygan Clinic in Plymouth, Rev. Thomas Fleischmann and her many friends at Rocky Knoll.

Leon E. 'Pete' Bailey
Leon E. Bailey, "Pete" as he was called by family and friends, 71, formerly of Babbitt, Minn., died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, after a very short stay at the Preston Nursing Home.
Prior to that he enjoyed his time living with his son, Larry, in Elk River, Minn.
He was born in Marshfield, on Sept. 19, 1929, to the late Thomas and Elma (Rathbone) Bailey, and married Delores Knutson of Lanesboro, Minn. on June 12, 1954. She passed away Oct. 8, 1989.
Survivors include three sons, Gary of Babbitt, Minn., Daniel of Pocatello, Idaho, and Larry of Elk River, Minn.; two daughters, Debbie (Jeff) Kiviaho of West Bend and Jennifer (Larry) Holmes of Cloquet, Minn.; five grandchildren, Tony Bailey of Pennsylvania, Heather Bailey of Minneapolis, Minn., Jason, Ryan and Michele Kiviaho of West Bend.
He is also survived by three brothers, Frank (Dorothy) of Chatfield, Minn., Hubert (Eva) of Boise, Idaho and Robert of Las Cruces, N.M.; five sisters, Dee Summers of Paradise, Calif., Ruby (Gordon) Auclair of West Hills, Calif., Vivian of Sacramento, Calif., Jeannie of Ruiaso, N.M. and Darlene of Pine City, Minn; a sister-in-law, Ione (Ed) Hallum of Lanesboro, Minn.; two brothers-in-law, Emil Twedt of Stockton, Minn. and Merle of Preston, Minn.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Proceeding him in death were two brothers, Archie and Roy; sisters-in-law, Hazel Twedt, Lucille Knutson and Doris Bailey; brothers-in-law, Carl Summer, Edward Knutson, Ernie Knutson and Joe Helegerson.
Visitation at the Range Funeral Home, Virginia, Minn., will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 19, with a memorial service at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow in the Argo Cemetery of Babbitt, next to his beloved wife of 34 years.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Earl J. Mueller
Funeral services were held A funeral service was held Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Earl J. Mueller, 84, who died on May 14, 2000. Rev. Dale Erickson officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial was at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Mr. Mueller was born July 1, 1915 in Milwaukee, son of Arthur and Elizabeth (nee Heck) Mueller. He married Ruth Moldenhauer on April 15, 1950 in Wisconsin. He served in the Air Force from 1951-1952 during the Korean War. He was a member of the 28th Air Refueling Wing, Wisconsin National Guard and a past member of the Cedarburg Aging Commission. He worked as a flight simulator instructor with the Air National Guard.
Survivors include: wife Ruth Mueller of Cedarburg; son James Mueller of Cedarburg; daughter Patricia (Bruce) Wester of Sturgeon Bay; brother Raymond (Arlyn) Mueller of Deluth, Ga.; and sister-in-law Lois Moldenhauer of Cedarburg.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.

Mildred A. "Ma Ma" Miziul
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Schramka Densow Funeral Home in Thiensville for Mildred A. "Ma Ma" Miziul, 79, who died on May 15, 2000. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m.
Family member characterized her as kind and gracious to all she met and the ultimate mother.
Survivors include: children Sharon (Bill) Bradley, JoAnne Wyble, Diane Koehn, Maxinne (John) Vargo, Merryl Miziul, Mark Miziul, Dan (JoAnn) Miziul, David Miziul, Joel Miziul and Tia Miziul; brother Ronald (Jane) Lueneburg; sisters Loraine (George) Bohochik, Audrey Regazzi and Ruth (Richard) Pedersen; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Lueneburg, husband Myron Miziul, son Paul Koehn and brother Melvin Lueneburg.

Elton R. Key, 56
Elton R. Key, 56, of Hartford, formerly of Milwaukee, died Thursday, May 18, 2000 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 6, 1943 to Carvol and Phyrene (nee Thomas) Key, and married Delreita M. (nee Dolata) on Oct. 10, 1980 in Wauwatosa.
He was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served in the Vietnam era with the United States Navy as a gunman on a Navy swift boat.
After marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee, finally settling in Hartford. He was a truck driver for Kreilkamp Trucking of Allenton for more than four years, but worked for various trucking firms for more than 25 years.
He was a member of the Hartford VFW Post #8834 and past member of the Texas VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Delreita, two step-daughters, Regina Becker of Franklin and Roberta Szulczewski of Oak Creek; three grandchildren, Samantha Szulczewski, Katrina Becker and Whittley Evenson; three brothers, Chris Key, Lorman Key and Daryl Key all of Texas; two sisters, Vivian (Mike) Foster of California, Sherry Key (Special friend Ralph) of California; one special companion "Smokey," the family cat; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at 8 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. Pastor Bruce Dunford will officiate. Interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Union Grove on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 11 a.m.
Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend on Tuesday, May 23, 2000 from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials are appreciated.
