Tanner C. McQuiston, 16
Tanner C. McQuiston, 16, of West Bend, died Monday, June 26, 2000, in the town of West Bend, due to injuries suffered in an auto accident.
He was born Nov. 29, 1983, in West Bend, to Timothy and Roberta "Robin" (nee Sepstead) McQuiston, attended McLane School, Badger Middle School and was a student at West Bend East High School.
Tanner was an avid hockey player, loved cars and enjoyed graphic arts.
He was also involved in snow boarding and snowmobiling.
He was a member of the Washington County Youth Hockey Association and Sports Car Association of America.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Sunny McQuiston of West Bend; maternal grandparents, Stuart and Jean Sepstead of Random Lake; paternal grandmother, Virginia (Milton) McQuiston-Peach of Willets, Calif.; paternal great-grandmother, Mildred McQuiston of Mesa, Ariz.; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather, and a brother, Tucker.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m., at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend.
Pastor Jeffrey Suddendorf and Pastor Earl Kruse will officiate, and cremation will take place at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials are appreciated to the West Bend High School Scholarship Fund.
Clarence A. Fogt, 91
Clarence A. Fogt, 91, of West Bend, formerly of Rockfield, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center.
He was born June 22, 1909, in Waukon, Iowa, to the late Henry and Louise (nee Klucke) Fogt, and at an early age moved with his family to the Jackson area.
After his marriage to Lorraine E. Bock on Aug. 25, 1934, at St. Peter's Parsonage, the couple lived primarily in Rockfield.
He was employed at various companies, including A.O. Smith, and later was a machinist for Koehring of Milwaukee for over 25 years, retiring in 1975.
Clarence was a member of St. Peter's UCC of the town of Richfield.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gerald (Betty) Fuller of DeForest; a former son-in-law, Harold (Penny) Skyrud of Waupaca; four grandchildren, Randy Fuller of DeForest, Douglas (Stacey) Fuller of Eagan, Minn., Ellen (Mark) Winteburn of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Daniel Skyrud of Milwaukee; two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Nolan Winterburn of Grand Rapids; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Jane Skyrud; a grandson, Brian Fuller, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, at 3 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend.
Pastor David H. Flegel will officiate, and interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Richfield, at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services.

Jason T. Munch, 27
Jason T. Munch, 27, of West Bend, died Monday, June 26, 2000, in the town of Kewaskum.
He was born June 19, 1973, in Port Washington, to John Sr. and Sandra (Katon) Munch, and raised in West Bend.
He graduated from West Bend East High School in 1991, and later attended Waukesha Technical College for two years, receiving a degree in police science.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed golf.
On Aug. 30, 1997, he married Kristin Woyach in Milwaukee.
Survivors include his parents, John Sr. and Sandra Munch of West Bend; a daughter, Nina Munch of Milwaukee; maternal grandfather, Albert Katon of Ashland; a brother, John Jr. (Tina) of West Bend; two nephews, Zachery and Joey Munch of West Bend, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 29, at 7 p.m., at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. Father Jeffrey Haines will officiate, and cremation will take place at Parkview Crematory, Fond du Lac.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated to his daughter's educational fund.
Grace E. Resch, 92
Grace E. Resch, 92, of West Bend, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
She was born May 8, 1908, in the town of Emroy, Price County, to the late Christian and Julia (nee Hess) Resch.
In 1914 her family moved to West Bend before settling in the town of Wayne.
Grace worked at Amity Leather Products from 1928 until retiring in 1973.
She was active in the Samaritan Auxiliary for many years, and belonged to More Ed and the 25-year Club at Amity.
Grace loved gardening, photography, ceramics and baking and decorating cookies and cakes.
Survivors include a sister, Fern Hembel of West Bend; a brother, Leo (Verna) of the town of Wayne; three nephews, Ken (Florence) Hembel, Alan (Carol) Hembel and David (Jane) Resch; a niece, Diane (Jon) Kiel; great-nieces; great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a niece, Carmen Hembel; a brother-in-law, George Hembel; two great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 2, at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend. Pastor George Mumm will officiate, and burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday from 3 p.m. until the time of services.

Russell T. 'Russ' Cook, 52
Russell T. "Russ" Cook, 52, of West Bend, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 22, 1947, to Hiram and Eleanor (nee Lang) Cook.
Following his marriage to Carolyn B. Linski on Nov. 19, 1966, in Milwaukee, the couple lived in Milwaukee and settled in West Bend in 1973.
He worked at Arandall Corp., International Storage and Milwaukee Envelope.
Russ was a member of Ducks Unlimited, and had a love for the outdoors, especially camping, hunting and fishing.
He was a proud grandpa or "Pa Pa" as his grandchildren would call him.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Lisa, Dan and Scott (Laura); his mother, Eleanor Cook; five grandchildren, Darren, Derek, Lauren, Dylan Merten and Hallie Cook; five sisters, Judy (Chuck) Fuller, Patsy Muth, Jeanne Wilke, Nancy (Fred) Grudnowski and Susie (Richard) Marasch; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Hiram.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, at 7:30 p.m., at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate, and interment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Carol and his children would like to thank all the nurses and hospital staff for all their care during his illness.
Rose L. Sperber
Funeral services will be held today at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church for Mequon native Rose L. Sperber, 95, who died June 23, 2000 at Lasata Care Center, Cedarburg.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m., with Rev. Don Scheuerlien to officiate at the 11 a.m. funeral service.
Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, East Mequon.
Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Sperber was born in Mequon on Oct. 18, 1904, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (nee Sellmann) Liebau.
She married Melvin G. Sperber, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sperber worked as a homemaker, and attended Calvary Lutheran Church.
Survivors include daughter Janet (Richard) Miller of Mequon; grandchildren Laura L. (Dale) Reisinger of Cedarburg, Lawrence A. (Joan) Mueller of Milwaukee, Craig D. (Kristine) Mueller of Lakeland, Fla., Michal Rose (Todd) Riege of Germantown and Stefanie L. (Saud) Miller-Ahmed of Milwaukee; great-grandchildren Caitlin Rose and Anna Lee Reisinger, both of Cedarburg, Jackson A. and Peter J. Mueller, both of Milwaukee; nieces Carroll (Karl) Lorenzen of Mequon, Marcia (Robert) Schultz of Gurnee, Ill., Sharon (the late Gene) Orth of Phoenix and Ayleen Bourdow of Port Washington; son-in-law Allen Mueller of Mequon; special friend Gladys (LeRoy) Mueller of Mequon; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Melvin, and daughter Joyce Mueller.

Judith Schutta
A private memorial service was held for Judith Schutta (nee Wolever), 68, who died June 21, 2000.
Arrangements were handled by Krause Funeral Home, Brown Deer.
Mrs. Schutta is survived by daughter Terri (Mark) Krueger; grandchildren Kelly, Tracy and Brad; sister Lois (Merrit) Buckman; brother John (Mary) Wolever; special friend and companion Ervin Novak; other friends and relatives.

Ilma A. Miller
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Grafton native Ilma A. Miller, 87, who died June 23, 2000 at Cedar Lake Health Center, West Bend.
Services were led by Rev. John Suelflow at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Grafton, with burial at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton.
Arrangements were handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton.
Miss Miller was born Nov. 2, 1912, daughter of the late Julius and Clara (nee Loell) Miller.
She worked as a laborer for Grob Inc., and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. She lived in rural West Bend.
Survivors include brother Alfred Miller of Cedarburg; nephew Rev. Gerald (Lynn) Miller of Massachusetts; nieces Ruth (James) Schmidt of Grafton and Shirley Perry of Newburg; sister-in-law Elda Miller of Grafton; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
Roland O. Groth
Funeral services were held Wednesday for Cedarburg native Roland O. Groth, 93, who died June 24, 2000 at Skaalen Sunset Home, Stoughton.
Arrangements were handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, with burial at Zur Ruhe Cemetery, Cedarburg.
Mr. Groth was born Aug. 1, 1906, son of the late William and Theresa (nee Ziemer) Groth.
He married Helga Larsen, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Groth was a former aviation instructor, and attended Mount Carmel Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Survivors include son Rev. Robert (Bonnie) Groth of Oregon, Wis.; grandchildren Andrew and Peter Groth, both of Oregon; other relatives and friends.
