Victor R. Laubenstein
Victor R. Laubenstein of the town of Farmington died Saturday, July 1, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend at the age of 82.
He was born on March 28, 1918, in the town of Fredonia to the late Edwin and Martha (nee Parlow) Laubenstein and he married Ruth Murray on Nov. 5, 1949, at Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church, West Bend.
He worked as a dairy farmer in the town of Fredonia for many years until retiring in 1983.
He was also the Polka Band leader and drummer of "Vic’s Melody Aces" for many years and was a member of Waukesha Musicians Association Local No. 193.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fredonia.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth five children, Dennis Laubenstein of West Bend, David (Nancy) Laubenstein of Florida Wayne Laubenstein of West Bend, Carl Laubenstein of West Bend and Carol (Craig) Larsen of Sheboygan four grandchildren, Shawn Laubenstein, Tracy Laubenstein, Justin Larsen and Rodney Patterson; three sisters, Erna (Harvey) Beutler of Oconomowoc, Ruth (Art) Koop of Fredonia and Edna Schultz of Fort Atkinson; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Laubenstein; a sister-in,law, Barbara Laubenstein; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Schultz.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend.
Rev. Bryan O’Connor will officiate and burial will be in St. John’s Church Cemetery, Fredonia, on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fredonia, are appreciated.

Margaret W. Huehner
Margaret W. Huehner, nee Withrow 84,of West Bend, Wis., and Camden, Maine, died at St. Luke Medical Center in Milwaukee on Wednesday, June 28, 2000.
She was born in Philadelphia, Penn., on Oct. 12, 1915, the only child of the late Albert and Mary Margaret (nee McCartney) Withrow and at an early age moved to Chicago.
Before moving to West Bend, she resided in Corpus Christi, Texas; Purley, Surrey, England; Washington, Ill; Ardsley, New York; and for 35 years, in Pound Ridge, New York.
She attended the Art Institute of Chicago and received her teaching certificate from Chicago Teachers College. In 1957, she received her B.A. from Bradley University and later her M.A. from Columbia University in New York City.
Teaching was her passion and she taught grade school in Corpus Christi; East Peoria, Ill; Coulsdon, Surrey, England; and Ardsley. For a year, Margaret taught in the department of education at Bradley University and later was a director of student teachers at Hunter College in New York City. She was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, the national association of education professionals.
Margaret pursued a lifelong love of the arts, literature, history and the exotic places. Reading was her greatest love and she was rarely without a book.
There was little new or different in this world that did not spark her attention and she had compassion for those less fortunate than herself and for people in need.
Because of her husband’s international work responsibilities for Corn Products Corp., she was able to travel to more than 100 countries on six continents where she gained numerous lifelong friends. A wonderful letter writer, she maintained a voluminous correspondence with friends, distant relatives and the children of her friends. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she never failed to have a positive influence on those who came in contact with her.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert F. Huehner, who she met in grade school. They were married in Chicago on Aug. 12, 1938.
Also surviving are her two sons, David Robert (Sandy) Huehner of West Bend and Garrett William (Mary Ellen) Huehner of Ossining, New York; three grandchildren, Jonathon Withrow Huehner of West Bend, Mariah McCourt Huehner and Colin Garrett Huehner, both of Ossining; a daughter-in-law, Donna Huehner of New York City; cousins Marguerite Keswick of Berea, Ky., and Helen (Robert) Taylor of Mesa, Ariz.; and a special friend, Christine Holden of Lewiston, Maine.
Preceding her in death was her son, Rodger Withrow Huehner, who died in a boating accident in 1977; and her loving cousin, Dorothy Withrow.
There will be no public memorial or funeral service.
The family requests that any memorials be sent in her name to the American Diabetes Association, Attention ADA Web, P.O. Box 96911, Washington D.C. 20090-6911.
The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.

Judith Schutta
A private memorial service was held for Judith Schutta (nee Wolever), 68, who died June 21, 2000.
Arrangements were handled by Krause Funeral Home, Brown Deer.
As her license plate proclaimed, Mrs. Schutta nickname was "XJudyX."
Mrs. Schutta is survived by daughter Terri (Mark) Krueger; grandchildren Kelly, Tracy and Brad; sister Lois (Merrit) Buckman; brother John (Mary) Wolever; special friend and companion Ervin Novak; other friends and relatives.
Memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101 would be appreciated.

William J. Gavin, 50
William J. Gavin, 50, of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan passed away July 2, 2000.
He was born Dec. 12, 1949 in Ontonagon, Mich., the son of Francis and Irene Leiviska Gavin.
Bill worked as a roofer for Butzen Roofing and also as a bartender at Sly's Midtown Saloon in Sheboygan.
He was a member of Immanuel Bible Church in Sheboygan and also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy of Illinois; father Francis (Joan) of Pueblo West, Colo.; mother Irene Gavin of Pana, Ill.; four sisters, Susan (Jerry) Howell of West Bend, Louise (Ted) Rostkowski of Sheboygan Falls, Pauline (Robter) Smith of Pana, Ill., and Nettie (Riley) Knudson of Tomahawk; two step-brothers, Tom (Chris) Butzke and Jeff (Debbie) Butzke; one step-sister, Kim (Marcello) Aguilera; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Gavin and his brother, Roy.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 Grand Ave., Port Washington, with Bill's friend, Mike Kulow, officiating. Burial will be in Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from noon until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is assisting the family.

Emylia D. 'Emmy' Miller, 2
Emylia D. "Emmy" Miller of West Bend died Monday, July 3, at Children's Hospital of Milwaukee at the age of two and a half.
She was born to Robert and Kimberla (nee Anderson) Miller on Dec. 6, 1997. She was a member of St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church of West Bend.
She is survived by her parents; one sister, Karissa; three brothers, Vince, Owen, and Kendrick; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Donna Anderson of Wisconsin Dells; paternal grandparents, Richard Jr. and Debra Miller of West Bend; maternal great-grandparents, Jerome and Eva Lischefski of Pardeeville; paternal grandparents, Helen and Elroy Stieber of Wausau; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend with Pastor Bryan T. O'Connor officiating. Burial will take place at Washington County Memorial Park of West Bend. Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Pearl H. Ziegler, 75
Pearl H. Ziegler (nee Brophy, formerly Hackbarth) of Grafton, formerly of Jackson, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee at the age of 75.
She was born Aug. 20, 1924 in Saukville to the late Frank and Lulu (nee Bell) Brophy and married Don Hackbarth. He preceded her in death. On March 19, 1976, she married Alfred Ziegler at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Grafton.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred; six children, Sue (Charles) Heiser of Cedarburg Wayne (Shirley) Hackbarth of Charlotte, N.C., Karl (Tracy) Hackbarth of Norwalk, Heidi (Brad) Rodenkirch of Campbellsport, David (Sandy) Hackbarth of Grafton and Steve (Mary) Hackbarth of Baraboo; two step-children, Aaron (Gail) Ziegler and Elaine (Danny) Krueger; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Frank (Marian) Brophy of Port Washington; Delwin (Colleen) Brophy of Fredonia and Patrick (Joan) Brophy of Baraboo; one sister, Ethel Bauschelt of Port Washington; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grafton. Burial will be Friday in St. Mary's Cemetery in Saukville. Visitation will be Thursday at the church only from 4-6:45 p.m. Memorials to the National Kidney Foundation are appreciated. The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.

Violet TeRonde
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Dale Heights Presbyterian Church in Middleton for Violet TeRonde, 83, who died on June 30, 2000. Rev. Dan Yeazel will officiate at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah. Family and friends will be received on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona
Mrs. TeRonde was born on Feb. 28, 1917 in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Adam and Elsie (nee Scimkat) Dieckmann. She married Chester R. TeRonde on May 15, 1937 in Oostburg. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Mrs. TeRonde had been a Neenah resident for the past year, previously making her home in Madison for over 35 years. She was a member of the Dale Heights Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Ladies Aide.
Survivors include: daughter Judith Huibregtse of Cedarburg; son Craig (Gloria) TeRonde of Neenah; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, a brother, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

Ted Spella
A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Ted Spella, 78, who died on May 26, 2000.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m.
Mr. Spella was born Jan. 5, 1922, son of Joseph and Edna (nee Luebtke) Spella. He married Betty Keehn on Feb. 28, 1971 in Illinois.
He and his wife were the former owners and operators of Hadler Lanes in Thiensville.
Survivors include: wife Betty Spella of Sun City, Ariz.; daughter Jerilyn (Peter) Norum of Kewaskum; step-sons Fred Hadler of Wauwatosa, Jerry (Nancy) Hadler of Sleepy Hollow, Ill. and Kevin Hadler of Cedarburg; step-daughter Barbara Koens of Cedarburg; sisters Gloria (Vic) Lazok of Phoenix and Jan DeVore of Sun City, Ariz.; son-in-law Jim Wyman of West Bend, 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Nancy Wyman.

Hertha Kleinschmidt
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Hertha Kleinschmidt, 91, who died on June 30, 2000. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Mrs. Kleinschmidt waws born Dec. 26, 1908 in Cedarburg, daughter of Fred and Ottile (nee Roeglin) Kraemer. She married Harvey Kleinschmidt, worked as a homemaker and was a lifelong resident of Cedarburg. She also attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: brother Palmer (Nellie) Kraemer of Burlington, N.C.; sister Eleanor Hall of Burlington; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey, parents, brother Walter Kraemer and sister Alice Diebitz.
Memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.

Thomas M. Kacmarcik
A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at Divine Word Catholic Church in Cedarburg for Thomas M. Kacmarcik, 74, who died on July 1, 2000. Visitation will be at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg from 2-5 p.m. Fr. George Gajdos will officiate at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial will be held at Zur Ruhe Cemetery.
Mr. Kacmarcik was born Sept. 28, 1925 in Ironwood, Mich., son of Matthew and Mary (nee Mura) Kasmarcik. He married Josephine Tody and was widowed on June 13, 1999. He was the founder and CEO of Kapco in 1972, active Grafton Lions member, member of the Chamber of Commerce in Grafton and a past member of Kiwanis. He also served in the Air Force during WWII.
Survivors include: daughters Sharon (Donald) Mann of West Bend, Karen (Frank) Hartay of Colgate and Shirley (Dan) Petri of Germantown; sons Tom (Donna) Kacmarcik of Jackson and Jim (Laura) Kacmarcik of Cedarburg; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Memorials to the Kacmarcik Memorial Fund are appreciated.
