Stuart "Stuie" Irwin Wagner
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton for Stuart "Stuie" Irwin Wagner, 62, who died on July 10, 2000. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rose-Harms American Legion Post #355 will be officiating at the ceremony, with arrangements.
Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Madison.
Mr. Wagner was born June 16, 1938 in LaCrosse, son of Conrad and Lavine (nee Locke) Wagner.
He worked for the Est Company as a machinist and was a member of the Rose-Harms American Legion Post #355 and the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include: son Daniel Lee of Port Washington; sisters Arlene (Tom) Bittner of Wausau and Martha (Richard) Desjardin of Sun Prairie; brothers Francis Wagner of Campbellsport, Gerald Wagner of Jackson and Stanley (Doris) Wagner of Grafton.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Herbert E. Hafemeister
A funeral service was held on Wednesday at David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church for Herbert E. Hafemeister, 62, who died on July 9, 2000. Rev. James Schulz and Rev. Mike Woldt officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Burial was held at David’s Star Lutheran Cemetery in Jackson.
Mr. Hafemeister was born July 12, 1937 in Jackson, son of Herbert G. and Norma (nee Gierach) Hafemeister. He married Diane Grimm on Nov. 1, 1960 in Wisconsin and worked as a truck driver for Liesner Top Soil. He attended David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jackson.
Survivors include: wife Diane Hafemeister of Cedarburg; mother Norma Hafemeister of Grafton; sons Duane (Diana) Hafemeister of Jackson, Daniel (Donna) Hafemeister of Cedarburg, Dean (Michelle) Hafemeister of El Paso, Texas and Devin (Jennifer) Hafemeister of Grafton; daughter Denise (Dave) Emilia, Hermitage, Tenn.; brothers James (Shirley) Hafemeister, Cedarburg, Richard (Gloria) Hafemeister, Hustisford; grandchildren Nicholas Hafemeister, Jackson, Michelle Hafemeister, Jackson, Erin Hafemeister, Jackson, Austin Schulz, Hermitage, Tenn., Alexis Emilia, Hermitage, Tenn., Craig Hafemeister, Cedarburg, Curt Hafemeister, Cedarburg, Kyle Hafemeister, Cedarburg, Ashley Hafemeister, El Paso, Texas, Krystal Hafemeister, El Paso, Texas, Tiffany Hafemeister, El Paso, Texas, Taylor Hafemeister, Grafton; brother-in-law John (Susan) Daley, Jackson.
Further survived by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert, and son, Darryl.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church are appreciated.

Carol L. Ehlers
A memorial service will be held Friday 7 p.m. at Advent Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Carol L. Ehlers, 74, who died on July 10, 2000. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Zwaska Funera Home, Milwaukee.
Survivors include: husband Larry Ehlers; sons Jeffrey (Michelle) Ehlers and Steven (Cindy) Ehlers; daughter Patty Ehlers; grandchildren Elliot, Andrew, Margaret, Peter and Nora; sister-in-law Sylvia (Walter) Plageman; brother-in-law Dallas Ehlers.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials to the Save the Children Federation would be appreciated.

Vincent "Butch" J. Uselding, 89
A funeral service was held last Thursday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for Vincent "Butch" J. Uselding, 89, who died July 8, 2000. Fr. Ed Wawrzyniakowski officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Burial was held at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery in Mequon.
Mr. Uselding was born March 17, 1911 in Belgium, son of Peter and Mathilda (nee Wester) Uselding. He married Elsie Piepenburg and worked as a foreman. He attended St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.
Survivors include: sons James (Sally) Uselding, Cedarburg, Tom Uselding, Holy Cross; daughter Joyce (Richard) Zimdars, Cedarburg; grandchildren Debra (Gilbert) McDaniel, Saukville, Donna (Roger) Erickson, Cedarburg, James Jr. (Kathy) Uselding, Grafton, Sarah Uselding, Cedarburg, Kim Lukes, West Bend, Elizabeth Uselding, Camiollia, Ga., Jacqueline Uselding, Camilla, Ga.; great-grandchildren Jennifer McDaniel, Saukville, Joshua McDaniel, Saukville, Addie Erickson, Cedarburg, Abram Erickson, Cedarburg, Lacey Erickson, Cedarburg, Emmie Erickson, Cedarburg, Paul Uselding, Grafton, Kassi Uselding, Grafton, Christopher Uselding, Grafton, Brandon Lukes, West Bend, Nicole Lukes, West Bend.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Uselding and his parents.

Godswill Uchey Simon-Uguru
A memorial service will be held for Godswill Uchey Simon-Uguru on July 23 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton with a reception after the service.
Uchey Simon was born Jan. 11, 1945 in Abia, Nigeria, Africa.
He married Edna Amalechi on Sept. 7, 1974.
They lived in Nigeria until 1981 where Uchey worked as a missionary.
In 1982 he and his family came to the U.S. where he studied religion at Wheaton College and then communications at UW-Madison were he received his doctorate in communications in 1991. He accepted a teaching position at Concordia University and taught from 1991-92. In 1992 Uchey moved back to Nigeria where he served in several positions including Sudan Internal Missions, Evangelical Church of West Africa, founded Institute of Christian Management and started a television program, "Choices," as a Christian outreach to the people of Nigeria. In 1998, Uchey and his family moved back to the U.S. where he taught at Concordia University.
The couple went back to Nigeria where Uchey died after a long illness and liver failure on June 28.
Survivors include: wife Edna, Jos, Nigeria; Emeka, Nathan, Simon, Grace and Peace of Grafton; 2 brothers, 2 sisters and many other friends and relatives in Nigeria.

Suzette Ellen Atkielski, 39
A Memorial Mass will be held today at 7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville for Suzette Ellen Atkielski, 39, who died on July 12, after a battle with cancer. Fr. Karl Acker will officiate at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
Mrs. Atkielski was born Jan. 25, 1961 in Milwaukee, daughter of Bertram and Carol (nee Meyer) Smith. She married Mark Atkielski on June 7, 1986 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. She worked for many years at Brunquell’s Family Restaurant, now Grafton Family Restaurant, and the Grafton Bowl as a chef. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, was a den mother for Cub Scout 3838, a Brownie Troop #383 Leader, Dunwiddie Elementary School room parent, little league coach, and countless other activities.
Survivors include: husband Mark Atkielski, Port Washington; children Joshua and Emily Atkielski, Port Washington; father Bert (Nancy) Smith, Grafton; brother Bret (Connie) Smith, West Bend; step-sisters Kelly Salter and Kim Benson, Cassleberry, Fla.; step-brother Sean Mallon, Orlando, Fla.; mother-in-law Theresa Atkielski, Grafton; step-mother-in-law Jan Michael, Grafton; brothers-in-law John (Julie) Atkielski, Waukesha, Alan (Sandy) Atkielski, Zion, Ill., David Michael, sister-in-law Mary (Scott) Dee, LaCrosse.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Carol Benish.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joshua and Emily Atkielski are appreciated.

Lorinda A. Tessar, 101
Lorinda A. Tessar, nee Schaefer, 101, of Kewaskum, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, West Bend.
She was born Dec. 21, 1898, in the town of Kewaskum, to the late August and Mary (Kocher) Schaefer, and on Sept. 14, 1921, married John "Jack" Tessar in Chicago. He passed away on Dec. 6, 1975.
Mrs. Tessar was a graduate of Milwaukee State Teachers College and Mayville Normal, and taught in several local one-room schools.
She was a lifetime resident of the Kewaskum area where she was an active member of Peace United Church of Christ, a Cedar Lake Home volunteer and a former member of the Kewaskum Women's Club.
As a charter member of the VFW ladies Auxiliary, Mrs. Tessar held various district and state offices including state president and national committee woman.
She enjoyed a special hobby of braiding rugs.
Survivors include three sons, Wayland (Darlene), John (Mary) and Thomas (Donna), all of Kewaskum; a daughter-in-law, Annabelle Tessar of West Bend; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a son, Allen; a daughter-in-law, Adeline; a grandson, Dan; three brothers, Marvin, Reuben and Albert; a sister, Esther Petermann and a twin sister, Lorina Petermann.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday July 19, at Peace United Church of Christ, Kewaskum. Rev. Eric Kirkegaard will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from noon until the time of services.
Memorials to Peace Untied Church of Christ or Cedar Lake Health Care Center are appreciated

Gary Ray Jaeger, 48
Gary Ray Jaeger, of West Bend, found everlasting peace and happiness on Sunday, July 16, 2000, at the age of 48.
He was born on Sept. 8, 1951, in West Bend, and worked on his grandfather's farm when he was young.
On April 14, 1972, he married Diane Russart, his high school sweetheart.
Several years later he began his own business, Jaeger Drywall, which is very successful and will be continued by his son, Ben.
Gary was an active member and past officer of the West Bend Builders Association for whom he was the pig roaster extraordinaire. He was also a member of Walleyes for Tomorrow.
Gary loved fishing, hunting, his family, his remote control and a good time.
He leaves to cherish his memory his eternally loved wife, Diane; four children, Chrystal (Eric Prochnow) Jaeger of Chico, Calif., Tracey (AJ Boulanger) Jaeger of Bellingham, Wash., Ben (Elizabeth Noegel) Jaeger and Amber Jaeger, both of West Bend, and his first granddaughter, Oceanna.
He is further survived by his father, Leroy Jaeger of West Bend; a brother, Bill Jaeger of Miami, Fla.; four sisters, Bonnie Pocian of West Bend, Sherry (Danny) Phillips of Galion, Ohio, Chris (Randy) Koehler of West Bend, and Cindy (Peter) Teigen of Coral Springs, Fla.; other relatives and many friends.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Florence; grandparents, Norvin and Clara Jaeger and John and Clara Mondloch; and his godfather, Ray Cross.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, to Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend, for Mass at 7:30 p.m.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorials to the Jaeger children's education are appreciated.
The Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington, is assisting the family.

Elmer R. Schwartzburg
Elmer R. Schwartzburg of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2000. He passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center of Milwaukee at the age of 82 years.
He was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 3, 1917 to parents William and Anna (nee Herrmann) Schwartzburg. He married Shirley R. Kowarsch on Aug. 3, 1940 in Milwaukee.
Elmer was raised in Milwaukee. After marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee, later settling in West Bend. He was a self-employed auto dealer in Milwaukee and West Bend for over 61 years, retiring in 1998 from his dealership in West Bend; Schwartzburg Chevrolet/Olds.
He was a member of the Kettle Moraine Bible Church, West Bend Kiwanis Club, Milwaukee Athletic Club, T.A.C. Club, a former member of the Milwaukee Kiwanis Club and past President of the West Bend Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; three children, Tom (Ruth) Schwartzburg of West Bend, Jayne (Randall) Wilson of Mount Dora, Fla., and Jeri (Paul) Robertson of West Bend; five grandchildren, Chad, Deane, Christel, John (Robin) and Brad; two brothers, Byron (Martha) Schwartzburg of Cedar Grove and Robert (Mary) Schwartzburg of Florida; and one sister-in-law, Donna Zahorik of Milwaukee. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 16 at 6 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend with Pastor Michael J. Keshan of the Kettle Moraine Bible Church officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Interment took place at Washington Co. Memorial Park on Monday, July 17 at 10 a.m.
