James A. Nehring
James A. Nehring, 50, of Colgate, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 8, 1949, in Galesville, Wis., to Marshall and Nona (Letson) Nehring, and was raised in Trempealeau.
He graduated from Trempealeau High School in 1968, and later attended Winona State college, receiving a BS degree in math. Furthering his education, he later received his masters degree in math at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
On Aug. 6, 1972, he married Emily R. Christopherson in Whitehall.
For the past three years he had been employed at Suburban Construction of Richfield as an expediter.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Marshall (Sarah) of Oshkosh, Matthew of Colgate, Mitchell (fiancee Lori) of Oshkosh and Keith of Colgate; his mother, Nona Nehring of Trempealeau; two sisters, Janis (Thomas) Spier of Port Byron, Ill. and Ruth (Christopher) Koehn of West Bend; a brother, Irvin (Nancy) of Byron, Minn.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Marshall.
He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church of Hubertus.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, at 7 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 1350 Highway 175, Hubertus.
Pastor Jay R. Thorson will officiate, and cremation will take place at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac.
Visitation at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend, will be Saturday from 3 p.m. until closing of the casket prayers at 6 p.m., followed by the funeral service at church.
Memorials are appreciated.

Zachery T. Kraus, infant
Zachery T. Kraus, the infant son of Thomas and Nancy (nee Dushenski) Kraus of Jackson, died Friday, July 28, 2000 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital in West Bend at the age of 10 months.
He was born September 27, 1999 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Zachery suffered from Walker-Warburg Syndrome. In his ten months of life he was able to open the eyes of many. He also had the ability to wrap anybody around his little finger.
Survivors include his parents Thomas and Nancy; his grandparents, Robert and Irene Dushenski of Grafton and Steve and Marcia Kraus of Beloit; his paternal great-grandparents Melvin and Mutzie Kraus of Elkhart Lake; an aunt, Julie Dushenski of Oshkosh; an uncle, Greg (Lori) Kraus of Fond du Lac; a cousin, Ashley Kraus of Fond du Lac; other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Rudy and Clara Miller and Joseph and Ann Dushenski, and his paternal great-grandparents Shirley and Harv Hanson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 31 at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson with Father Jeffrey Haines officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. and also Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated.

Roland K. "Bud" Henschke, 77
Roland K. "Bud" Henschke, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyo., died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at United Medical Center-West.
He was born June 14, 1923, in Milwaukee, and had lived in Cheyenne since September. Previously he had lived for 18 years in West Bend, and 35 years in California.
Mr. Henschke was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He donated property for park and lake access for residents of Washington County.
Mr. Henschke was a mechanical and electrical engineer for Bendex Corp. in California for 28 years, and was a life member of the Triangle Engineers Fraternity and a life member of NRA.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, whom he married Feb. 28, 1944, in Milwaukee; two sons, Ken of Fort Collins, Colo. and Dr. Mark of Rye, N.H.; a daughter, Barbara McNelly of Fort Collins; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his hunting partners in California and northern Wisconsin.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Paul and Clara Henschke.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Friends who wish may contribute to the NRA or the charity of their choice.

James D. Montgomery
James D. Montgomery, 80, of West Bend, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Davenport, Iowa, to the late James and Margaret (McDaniel) Montgomery.
Jim graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor of science in commerce degree.
Later he served with the U.S. Air Corps.
In 1954 Jim joined The West Bend Co. where he held positions of increasing responsibility. Subsequently, he was appointed vice president in charge of sales.
Jim enjoyed his long career with The West Bend Co. and the many colleagues and friends he worked with there. He remained a member of The West Bend Co.'s 25-Year-Club until his death.
Jim was a man of many talents and interests. He had an avid interest in sports and politics, and enjoyed his family, traveling and working in his yard.
His kindness, intelligence and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Eloise (nee Hatteberg); children, Jene (Alfred) Goshaw of Chapel Hill, N.C., Marilyn (Larry) Pitzner of Woodbury Minn., Diane Montgomery of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Christina (Goshaw) Hinkle, David Goshaw, Julie (Pitzner) Bailey, James Pitzner, Elizabeth Pitzner, Eric Fryklund, and Sonya Fryklund; a great-grandchildren Heather Bailey; a sister, Elba Hebbeln of Bettendorf, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church of West Bend. Pastor Calvin F. Seban will officiate, and interment will be in Washington County Memorial Park of West Bend.
Visitation at the church only will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
A luncheon will be served in the church hall following the burial.
The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.

Ralph Yench
Funeral services will be held this evening for Cedarburg resident Ralph Yench, 72, who died July 26, 2000 at St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee.
In-state visitation will be at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg from 4 p.m., with a funeral service planned for 7 p.m. Private family burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Grafton.
Mr. Yench was born Sept. 2, 1927 in Milwaukee, son of the late Joseph and Florence (nee Lutzen) Yench. He married Joan Dickmann on Jan. 30, 1954 in Grafton, and she preceded him in death on June 11, 1998.
Mr. Yench worked as a machinist for Evinrude for over 30 years. He was also a member of Rose-Harms American Legion Post 355 in Grafton.
Survivors include children Leroy of Port Washington, Judy (Jim) McMullin of Fredonia, Sherri (Joe) Covert of Saukville and Joni Yench of Port Washington; grandchildren Missy Yench of West Bend, Samantha Jochims of West Bend, and Cara, Marnie and Dana McMullin, all of Fredonia; great-grandchildren Hannah, Garrett and Mallory Keller; brother Bob Yench of Mequon; sister Arlene Yench of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Connie L. Shrake-Andrew
A memorial service was held Saturday for Connie L. Shrake-Andrew, 46, of Cedarburg, who died July 26, 2000.
Services were held at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, led by Pastor Chris Schwanz.
Mrs. Shrake-Andrew was born Aug. 29, 1953 in Shawano, daughter of Vincent and Lillian (nee Grenz) Bowen.
She is survived by her husband and best friend John Shrake of Cedarburg; her mother Lillian Bowen of Milwaukee; mother-in-law Ruth Shrake of Sparks, Nev.; sister Diane Bowen of Milwaukee; brother Gerald (Dorothy) Bowen of Cedarburg; sister-in-law Patricia Bowen of Bark Lake, Wis.; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Vincent Bowen; brother Richard H. Bowen and sister Geraldine Janice.
The family has asked that memorials be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Cedarburg Conference.

Dylan Gerard Hendrickson
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today for Dylan Gerard Hendrickson, 10, of Janesville, who died July 27, 2000
Services will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church starting at 11 a.m., with Father Michael Doro officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Schneider Funeral Home, Janesville.
Dylan was born Dec. 31, 1989 in Janesville, son of Matthew G. and Juanita M. (nee Brown) Hendrickson.
He was a fifth-grader attending St. John Vianney Catholic School, and was a member of the parish. Dylan was also a member of Cub Scout Pack 429.
Survivors include his parents Matthew and Juanita Hendrickson of Janesville; brother Axel; grandparents Robert and Beverly Hendrickson of Phoenix, Ariz. and Bruce and Aida Spurrier of Pewaukee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. John Vianney School or Cub Scout Pack 429.

Floyd E. Grosklaus
Floyd E. Grosklaus, 80, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2001, at Village Oaks Assisted Living in Orlando.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1920, in the town of Farmington to the late Edwin and Alvina (Lilge) Grosklaus, and on June 5, 1943, married Beulah Hirsig.
She passed away on Nov. 1, 1994.
Floyd had been a resident in Orlando since 1974.
Survivors include a son, Gary (Evelyn) Grosklaus of Orlando; a grandson, Brian (Jennifer) Musselwhite of Orlando; a great-granddaughter, Casey; a sister-in-law, Laura Miller of Verona; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was an infant son, Wayne.
Private graveside services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum, with Rev. Edwin Fredrich officiating.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association are appreciated.
The Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, served the family.
