Raymond W. Anderson, 81
Raymond W. Anderson, 81, of West Bend, was born to eternal life on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000.
He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Rappold); dear father of Doreen Vick, Judy (Mark) Neubauer and Kristine Anderson; loving Papa of Bradley and Beth, and great-grandfather of DeAngelo and Renee.
He is also survived by dear friends, Kim Kazmierczak and Cookie Gunderson; other relatives and friends.
Ray was a member of Gesang Verein and Vergnuegungs, was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the telephone Pioneers.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 11 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. services at the Zwaska Funeral Home, 4900 W. Bradley Road, Milwaukee.
Private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Reinhold E. "Bud" La Vanway
Reinhold E. "Bud" La Vanway of Slinger passed away on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000. He was 78 years old.
He was the loving dad of Phillip (Diane), Beverly (Ed-ward) Mayer, David (Barbara), Denise (Jerry) Lenhardt and Michelle La Vanway and her fiance, Robert Raether; the special friend of Alice Arndt and dear brother of Amy (Bob) Minson and Anita Heller. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren; two great-grandsons, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa; and his sisters, Carol, Phyllis, and Gladys.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home of Menomonee Falls. Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
Memorials appreciated.

Gladys M. Rehberg
Gladys M. Rehberg (nee Greget) of Hartford passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000 at the Hartford Care Center. She was 90 years old.
She was born on March 19, 1910 to William and Hilda (nee Kohli) Greget. She married Ezra Rehberg on June 1, 1940 at St. Kilian Church in Hartford.
Gladys cooked for St. Kilian's for many years.
She is survived by one sister, Jessie (Bennie) Winicki of Stevens Point ; two brothers, Alton (Mary) Greget of Hartford and Milian (Elaine) Greget of Fond du Lac. Gladys is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ezra "Unk" Rehberg.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, Aug. 5 at noon at St. Kilian Catholic Church with Father Michael Petrie officiating. The family greeted relatives and friends on Saturday at the church only from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment at St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.
Memorials to St. Kilian's Building Fund appreciated.
Shimon Funeral Home assisted the family.

Theresa Kienast
Theresa Kienast (nee Eberhardy) passed away on July 6, 2000 in Lady Lake, Fla. She was 80 years old.
She was born in Marshfield on Nov. 28, 1919 to Peter and Anna (nee Schuster) Eberhardy. She married Roland Kienast on Oct. 10, 1942 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Hewitt. She was a former resident of both Iron Ridge and Lake Sinissippi.
Theresa is survived by her husband, Roland Kienast; four children, David (Julie) Kienast of Gainesville, Fla., Mary (Charlie) Domina of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Linda (Kim) Hoppenrath of Whiting and Lloyd Kienast of Iron Ridge; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Lawrence (Lucille) Eberhardy of Marshfield; five sisters, Adlaide Schueller of Marshfield, Blandina Loosen and Lorraine Simon, both of Hartford, Dolores Rogers of Arpin, and Sister Mary Peter of West Allis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Alfred Eberhardy of Marshfield and Aldolph (Salty) Eberhardy of Sheboygan Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Timothy Catholic Church of Lady Lake, Fla. Inurn-ment at Lady Lake Cemetery, Lake Lake, Fla.

Benjamin John Hayes
A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church on Saturday, July 31 for Benjamin John Hayes of Littleton, Colo., who died on July 24, 2004 at the age of 24.
Mr. Hayes graduated from Homestead High School and attended the University of Kansas and Santa Barbara Community College. He loved to travel and enjoyed traveling throughout Europe as he pursued a career in modeling. Recently returning home to Littleton from New York, he attended the National Personal Training Institute. He was a dear friend to many. He had the gift of conversation and greatly enjoyed, among other things, running and reading.
Ben is survived by his parents Dave and Terri Hayes; brother Nathan Hayes; grandparents Ron Ogrodowski, Russell and Cecile Hayes, Vanis and Roger Neuman; aunts and uncles Peggy and Mark Petersen, Ann Marie and Mark Lonergan, John and Meliessa Ogrodowski, Robert Hayes and Peg Hayes; cousins Jocelyn, Briana, Kian and Taig; and godparents Lee and Jan Doerr.
Memorials in memory of Ben may be made to the National Epilepsy Foundation, National Office: Direct Response, 4351 Garden City Drive Suite 500, Landover, MD 20785-7223

Robert J. Hagen
Robert J. Hagen of Homewood, Ill. passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000 at the South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Ill. He was 75 years old.
He was born in Hartford on June 19, 1925 to Jacob and Loretta (nee Gehl) Hagen. He married Gloria Zimdars on June 19, 1948 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Hartford.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two daughters, Renee (James) Matlock of Frankford, Ill. and Lori (James) Shaffer of Fort Meyers, Fla.; one son, Robert (Beth) Hagen of Plano, Tex.; four grandchildren, Allison and Cara Matlock and Maggie and Cole Hagen; three sisters, Mary Jean Pankratz of West Bend, Phyllis Ribbens of Waukesha and Joan (Donald) Kastenholz of Brookfield; three brothers, James (Luella) of Princeton, Donald (Donna) of Hartford and Howard (Beverly) of Waukesha; two sisters-in-law, Karen Hagen of Sussex and Rita Schwartz of Hartford; and three brothers-in-law, James Semler of Hartford, Wayne (Beverly) Zimdars of Stevens Point, and Warren Zimdars of Neosho. Robert is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas; a brother-in-law, John; and a sister-in-law, Gilda Semler.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, Aug. 3 at noon at St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Hartford with Father Michael Petrie officiating. The family greeted relatives and friends on Thursday at the Shimon Funeral Home from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Interment at St. Kilian's Cemetery.
Memorials to Marian Catholic High School, 700 Ashland Ave., Chicago Heights, Ill. 60430, appreciated.

Auguste M. "Gusti" Graf
Auguste M. "Gusti" Graf, 82, of Hartford (town of Herman), died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital of West Bend.
She was born June 8, 1918, in Frankfurt, Germany, to the late Franz and Margarete (Wellhoefer) Graf, coming to the United States in 1932.
She had been a housekeeper and companion to Lester on the family farm until 1988.
Survivors include her companion, Lester Wellhoefer, of the town of Herman; a nephew, Michael Wirth of Germany; many cousins; other relatives, and friends.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Charlotte "Lotti."
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 10, at 1:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, West Bend. Rev. Victor Hackbarth will officiate and interment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from noon until the time of services.

Susan Marie Aalto
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, for Susan Marie Aalto, 48, who died Aug. 6, 2000 at her Port Washington home. The service will be conducted by Myra McNaughton of Unity Church, Sheboygan.
Ms. Aalto was born June 12, 1952 in Marshfield, the daughter of Rev. Elmer and Dorothy (nee Eske) Aalto. She was a 1970 graduate of Random Lake High School, and attended several schools in the University of Wisconsin system.
Ms. Aalto was a gifted artist, author and set designer. Family members recall she had a great love for art, music and nature.
She wrote and illustrated an inspirational book titled "One Artist Draws Breath."
Survivors include her mother, Dorothy (stepfather Barry) Aalto Fletcher of Santa Rosa, Calif.; children Erich Smith of North Carolina and Rachael Smith of Illinois; sisters Christine (Mark) Jaeger of Port Washington, Ruth (Edward) Mixdorf of Town of Grafton and Jane (Ken) Yoho of Port Washington; six nieces and nephews; friend and companion Lou Balch; and many other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Elmer Aalto, and stepfather William Gruetzmacher.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association Wisconsin, 2323 N. Mayfair Rd., Suite 502, Wauwatosa, WI 53226-1507.

Martin A. Stahl
Martin A. Stahl, 99, of Byron, Ill., died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Mitchell Manor Health Care Center, West Allis.
He was born Feb. 28, 1901, in Newburg, to the late Joseph and Susan (nee Schwinn) Stahl.
He worked in Byron for the DelMonte Cannery for 60 years.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Bucholtz of Franklin; a sister-in-law, Leona Stahl of Newburg; two nieces, Janet (Ray) DuPree of Milwaukee and Bernice Radtke of Franklin.
Preceding him in death were two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services were held Aug. 9 at the Mitchell Manor Chapel, with Rev. Dominic Scheerer officiating. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Newburg.

Delores J. Kleist
Delores J. Kleist, nee Wagner, 65, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee after a four-month battle with leukemia.
She was born Nov. 6, 1934, in Hartford, to the late Herbert and Anita (Hahn) Wagner, and on Sept. 18, 1954, married Victor V. Kleist at Trinity Lutheran Church, Huilsburg.
Mrs. Kleist was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, was an avid bowler, golfer, walker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She had been a former part-time employee of The Reporter for 24 years.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Barbara (Jon) Kramer of Fond du Lac; four sons, David (Cyndy) of Tabernash, Colo., Dennis of Fond du Lac, Robert (Jeanne) of West Bend and Richard "Rico" of Evansville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Scott and Stephanie Kramer and Jennifer and Ryan Kleist; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph (Elaine) and Russell (Mary), both of Hartford; her mother-in-law, Virginia Kleist of Juneau; a sister-in-law, Yvonne (Ronald) Buschkopf of Juneau; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was her father-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 12 at 9:30 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. Rev. Fred Toppe will officiate, and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.
Visitation at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Leukemia Society of America Inc., Wisconsin Chapter, 1170 S. 70th St., Milwaukee, are appreciated.
