Erna H. Erickson
Erna H. Erickson (nee McFarlane) of Fond du Lac, formerly of the Kewaskum area, died on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac at the age of 84 years.
She was born on May 31, 1917, in Tigerton, Wis., to the late Oris and Esther (nee Mickelson) McFarlane.
Following her marriage to Raymond L. Erickson on July 16, 1935, in Wittenberg, they moved to Waupaca County and then settled in the Kewaskum area in 1941. For the past year and a half, she has been living in Fond du Lac. Raymond predeceased January 31, 1981.
Survivors include six children: Ronald of West Bend (special friend Elaine Briel of Milwaukee), Shelby (Darrel) Hills of Fond du Lac, Marlyn (Delores) of West Bend, Cynthia Brueggeman of Fond du Lac, Dennis (Mary) of Woodruff, and Niles (Dorothy) of Green Bay; 15 grandchildren: Ralph (Chris) of Stoughton, Mark (Amy) of Iron Mountain, Mich., Jenny (Terry) Sell of West Bend, Sherry (Angel) Quinonez of Floresville, Tex., Linda (Perry) Gout of Lakewood, Wash., David (Mary Kay) Hills of Waupaca, Colleen (Jason) Yanke of Rhinelander, Father Ryan of Hudson, Sonya (Brian) Dudor of Oak Creek, Travis of Campbellsport, Michelle (Michael) Curry, Brian Brueggeman and Angela Brueggeman (special friend Chad Peschke), all of Fond du Lac, Nathan (Stephanie) of De Pere and Benjamin of Green Bay; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister: Judy (George) Griepentrog of Tigerton; two sisters-in-law: Rosella (Ken) McLean and Adeline (George) Williams, both of Oshkosh; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gerald, one daughter-in-law, Helga Erickson, two grandchildren, Donna, Leland and Kristopher Erickson, one great-granddaughter, Christina Quinonez, and her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with Reverend James Eckblad of Immanuel United Church of Christ officiating. Burial followed at Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation was at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. The family has requested that memorials be given to the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

Kenneth "Kenny" R. Anderson
Kenneth "Kenny" R. Anderson, age 85, N1869 Anderson Rd., town of Hill, Ogema, Wis., died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Nenno, Wis.
Kenneth was born Sept. 4, 1915, on the family homestead in the town of Hill, Ogema, Wis., to the late Charles "Charlie" and Anna (nee Bergeson) Anderson, attended Ring School, and was a lifelong resident of the town of Hill. He was united in marriage to the former Emma Colberg on Dec. 9, 1939, at First Lutheran Church in Ogema. During WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a dairy farmer at the family homestead prior to owning and operating his own trucking and logging business for 30 years. After retiring from the logging business, he and his wife were employed with the Franzen Brothers Circus for 12 years. The circus had been owned by their nephew, Wayne Franzen. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, selling maple syrup and axe handles, and most of all, visiting with people. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Ogema, the Southern Price County V.F.W. Post 8491, the Johnson-Hallberg American Legion Post 407 of Ogema, and was a former Vice Commander.
He is survived by seven children, Larry (Gladys) Anderson, Prentice, Wis., Dale (Lisa) Anderson, Nenno, Wis., Judy Ferre, Madison, Jane (Rick) Holm, Prentice, Diane Anderson, Madison, Dennis (Deborah) Anderson, Port Washington, Allan (Laurie) Anderson, Ogema; one brother, Reverend Charles "Buddy" (Lauris) Anderson, Sparta; grandchildren and great grandchildren Michelle (Tim) Miller, Garrett and Alexandra; Jodi (Ed) Anderson-Jones, Sarah and Branden; Paul (Candace) Anderson, Henry; Jenny (Jose) Anderson, Piera; Jakob Anderson, Anita Anderson, Cris Ferre, Ryan Ferre, Al C. Sonya (Jorel) Ferre, Jorel; Brent Holm, Sasha Holm, Nikki Anderson, Caitlin Anderson, and Cassey Anderson. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant daughter, Susie Anderson, one brother, Leonard (Agnes) Anderson, four sisters, Esther (Roy) Erickson, Mabel Anderson, Irene Anderson and Luella (Harold) Peterson.
Visitation will be at First Lutheran Church in Ogema on Sunday, Aug. 12, from 4-7 p.m. and on Monday morning, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Pastor Matthew Lee officiating.
Pallbearers will be Don Stelzer, George "Bud" Swanson, Bill Conrad, David Erickson, Richard Erickson, and Rick Holm. Memorials are appreciated.
Interment is at Garden of Memories in the town of Hill, with full military honors conducted by the Johnson-Hallberg American Legion Post 407 of Ogema, and Southern Price County V.F.W. Post 8491.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake are serving the family.

Leonard C. Meyer
Funeral services were held on Monday at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Leonard C. Meyer, 83, who died on Aug. 4. Rev. David Jerger officiated at the ceremony. Burial will be at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Mr. Meyer was born Jan. 15, 1917 to William G. and Mary (nee Gessner) Meyer. He married Sylvia (nee Simon).
He was a longtime member of St. Paul Community Church in Waubeka.
Survivors include: daughter Janet Meyer of West Bend; son Thomas (Jean) Meyer of St. Charles, Mo.; brother Willis (Doris) Meyer of Milwaukee.
Further survived by eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sylvia.
Memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.

Ervin S. Pericak
Former Grafton resident Ervin S. Pericak, 71, died July 30, 2000. Memorial services were held in Sun City, Ariz.
A resident of Grafton for 20 years, Mr. Pericak and his wife Dorothy (nee Michalski) moved to Arizona after retiring in 1996.
Family members say Mr. Pericak will be remembered by those who knew him for his quick wit and his ready smile.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Pericak of Arizona; children Lynne (Michael) Johnstone of Iowa, LuAnne Andringa of Florida, Laureen (James) Amberg of California, LeeAnn (Jeffrey) Mantes of Milwaukee, David (Theresa) of Chaseburg, Michael (Amy) of Shawano, Steven (Patti) of Menomonee Falls, Robert (Pamela) of Grafton and Lisa (Andrew) Folz of California; 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.

Auguste M. "Gusti" Graf
Auguste M. "Gusti" Graf of the Town of Herman passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital of West Bend. She was 82 years old.
She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on June 8, 1918 to Franz and Margarete (nee Wellhoefer) Graf. Auguste was raised in Germany, coming to America in 1932. She was a housekeeper and companion to Lester Wellhoefer on the family farm until 1988.
She is survived by her companion, Lester Wellhoefer of the Town of Herman; one nephew, Michael Wirth of Germany; and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Charlette "Lotti."
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Rev. Victor Hackbarth officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m. Interment took place at Washington County Memorial Park following the service.

Delores J. Kleist
Delores J. Kleist (nee Wagner) of Fond du Lac passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital after a 4-month battle with leukemia. She was 65 years old.
She was born in Hartford on Nov. 6, 1934 to Herbert and Anita (nee Hahn) Wagner. She married Victor V. Kleist on Sept. 18, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Huilsburg.
Mrs. Kleist was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was a former part-time employee of The Reporter for 24 years. She was an avid bowler, golfer, walker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Victor; one daughter, Barbara (John) Kramer of Fond du Lac; four sons, David (Cyndy) Kleist of Tabernash, Col., Dennis Kleist of Fond du Lac, Robert (Jeanne) Kleist of West Bend, and Richard "Rico" Kleist of Evansville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Scott and Stephanie Kramer and Jennifer and Ryan Kleist; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph (Elaine) Wagner and Russell (Mary) Wagner, both of Hartford; mother-in-law, Virginia Kleist of Juneau; and sister-in-law, Yvonne (Ronald) Buschkopf of Juneau.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law.
Visitation was held on Friday, Aug. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home of Fond du Lac and at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Funeral services followed at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Fred Toppe officiating. Burial in Estabrooks Cemetery.
Memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Leukemia Society of America, Wisconsin Chapter, appreciated.

Kurt Wm. Schroeder
Kurt Wm. Schroeder of the Town of Erin, formerly of Brown Deer, passed away on Aug. 11, 2000 at his home. He was 90 years old.
He was born on Oct. 18, 1909 in Milwaukee to Ferdinand Schroeder. He married Esther Hennecke on March 2, 1940.
Kurt retired in 1973 from American Paper and Plastics of Milwaukee. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII and was a charter member of Crown of Life Lutheran Church of Hubertus.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis (Faith) Schroeder of Pine Island, Minn. and Donald (Gail) Schroeder of Hartford; grandchildren, Gretchen and Stephanie Schroeder; great-grandchild, Alexandra; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, Hubertus with Rev. John Schneidervin officiating. Visita-tion was held at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Burial at Plea-sant Hill Cemetery of Hartford.
Memorials to Crown of Life Building Fund or Community Memorial Hospital Cancer Care Center of Menomonee Falls.

Appolonia H. 'Abby' Brodzeller, 87
Appolonia H. "Abby" Brodzeller (nee Wiedmeyer) of West Bend died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at her residence at the age of 87.
She was born to George (Mathilda Gundrum) on March 31, 1913, in Dodge County. She married Roman A. Brodzeller on June 5, 1934 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno.
She was born and raised in Dodge County on the family farm. After marriage, the couple lived in Allenton, moving to West Bend in 1961. She was employed as a nursing assistant at Cedar Lake Home for more than 20 years. Later, she was a care giver for Home Care for more than 10 years. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church of West Bend.
She was the beloved mother of David (Bernie) of Grafton and James (Lois) of West Bend; had four grandchildren, Alan of Grafton, Brian of West Bend, Christine (fiancee Ryan Lichtensteiger) of West Bend and Karen (David) Cho of Colorado; one great-granddaughter Robin; and is further survived by one brother, Richard (Lucy) Wiedmeyer of Allenton; two sisters, Aurelia (Lawrence) Heller of West Bend and Stella Moser of Slinger; four sisters-in-law, Florence "Flossie" Wiedmeyer of West Bend, Genevieve Wiedmeyer of Addison, Thecla Wiedmeyer of West Bend and Lucille Justman of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 4, 1981; her parents, one sister, Anna Newburg and six brothers, Henry, Edgar, Eddie, Alex, Jeromie and Gregory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church of West Bend with Father Michael C. Petersen officiating. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park on Thursday at 10 a.m. Visitation will be at the church only on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to Aurelia (Aunt Ray) Heller, Mary Coppersmith, Ruth Hron, Karen Lichtensteiger, Monica Robenhorst and especially Abby's grandson, Brian, for all their help.
Memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Church are appreciated.

Wallace J. Blaubach
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton for Wallace J. Blaubach, 70, who died on Aug. 8, 2000. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters; served in the Army from 1948 -1950. He worked for Gilbert Shoe Factory and also the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include: wife Audrey (nee Mueller Wetor) of Random Lake; sons Richard Blaubach of Germantown and Todd (Denise) of Grafton; daughters Linda (Jeff) Arthur of Saukville and Diane (Patrick) Selk of Thiensville; grandchildren Ashley and Stephanie Arthur; stepchildren Colleen (Dan) Niedfieldt of Random Lake, Lynn (Sam) Keller of Random Lake, Gary (Twila) Wetor of Cascade, Dean (Maureen) Wetor of Random Lake, Denise (Jeff) Benson of Random Lake, Lori (Jim) Huiras of Oostburg, Scott (Connie) Wetor of Oostburg, Lisa (Charlie) Mitchell of Adell; 11 stepgrandchildren; brothers Ralph (Marge) Blaubach of Belgium, Donald (Madie) Blaubach of Cedarburg, Earl (Diane) Blaubach of Thiensville; sister June (Leroy) Depies of Minocqua; and brother-in-law Al Koehler of Grafton.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Jeanette L. (nee Koehler) whom he married July 22, 1961. She died Jan. 14, 1980. He then married Audrey July 10, 1993 in Random Lake.
Memorials to Horizon Hospice or the American Cancer Society appreciated.

Richard R. Bonenfant
Richard R. Bonenfant, 67, of West Allis died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at his residence.
He was born to Homer (Anna Joki) Bonenfant on Dec. 5, 1933, in Milwaukee. He married Pamela A. Mueller on Dec. 5, 1953 in Milwaukee.
He was raised in Milwaukee. After marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee, moving to the New Fane area in the early 1960s. He was employed as a tool and die maker for various companies in the West Bend area.
He is survived by seven children, Robert (Gail) of west Bend, Laurie (Dean) Schmidt of Kewaskum, Mary (James) Flitter of West Bend, Richard of Fond du Lac, James (Justine) of West Bend, Thomas of West Bend and William of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian (Pete) Panagos of Glendale, Ariz. and Eleanor (Robert) Sluka of Texas; two brothers, Russell (June) of Glendale, Ariz. and Arthur (rita) of Glendale, Ariz.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private services were held Monday at 1 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Chapel of west Bend.
Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.
The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.

Alice M. Haskins
Alice M. Haskins, nee Behrens, formerly Graack, of Slinger passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at the age of 93. She was born Feb. 7, 1908, in Milwaukee, one of 13 children the daughter of Julius and Anna Marie (nee Riebe) Behrens.
She married Walter A. Graack on June 11, 1927, in Milwaukee. She married Allen S. Haskins on June 14, 1936, and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1990.
She is the dearest mother of Audrey L. Robert L.) Brandt of Summit Lake; loving grandmother of Kenneth (Janice) Brandt of Sheboygan, Russell (Linda) Brandy of Slinger, Allen (Karol) Brandt of Brookfield, Robert M. (Pamela) Brandt of Slinger and Julie (Michael) Szemborski of Racine; dear sister of Norma Roberts of Milwaukee; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hartford. Rev. Frank Bauman will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the church from 5-7 p.m. There will be a private interment.
Alice was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hartford and Hartford Senior Friends where she was the greeter. She lived a very active and interesting life, enjoying family and friends and traveling.
The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home is serving the family.
Memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church of the Hartford Senior Friends would be appreciated.

Helen A. Krueger, 94
Helen A. Krueger, 94, formerly of Milwaukee, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.
She was the beloved mother of Marlene (Eugene) Dybul of West Bend. Also surviving are six grandchildren, including Laura (Arlester) Newman of Milwaukee and Bradley (Sue) Bernhardt of Tucson, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren, Shawn and Michelle Bernhardt; and a brother, Milton (Helen) of Mayville.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Gilbert, and a daughter, Joan.
Private services will be held by the family.
