Eugene A. Skudlarczyk
Eugene A. Skudlarczyk, 84, of Campbellsport, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at the Fond du Lac County Healthcare Center.

He was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 25, 1916, to the late Joseph and Helen (Zulinska) Skudlarczyk, and on Dec. 4, 1937, married Margaret Cleary.

He was employed with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers for 20 years.

After retirement, he worked for Fond du Lac County transporting the handicapped, and also served as caretaker and treasurer for Union Cemetery in Campbellsport.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Campbellsport, and was active in various square dance clubs for 38 years.

Survivors include his wife; three children, William (Brenda) of Campbellsport and Virginia Treptow and Thomas (Marlys), both of Sandy, Utah; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Bob) Lalko, Ree Skudlarczyk (fiance Eric Mies), Frank (Holly) Treptow, Wes (Rhonda) Treptow, Perry (Amy) Skudlarczyk, Michelle Skudlarczyk and Christopher Skudlarczyk; three great-grandchildren, Randy Treptow and Keaton and Jack Skudlarczyk; two brothers, Leonard (Betty) of Milwaukee and Richard (Nancy) of Leslie, Ark.; two sisters, Alice (Leo) Ziolkowski of Milwaukee and Barbara (Frank) Pepka of Arizona; many other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Ralph and Ray.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 31, at 3 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport. Rev. Stanley Hayes will officiate, and burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or the First Methodist Church, Campellsport.

Esther Schueneman
Esther Schueneman entered into eternal life on Aug. 23, 2000 at the age of 89 yrs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ottilie (nee Denke) Schueneman of Milwaukee; brother Arthur Schueneman of Milwaukee; sister Mildred Bristow of New Hampshire; and two nephews, John and Henry Bristow, also of New Hampshire.

She is survived by her sister, Irma Morgenroth of Grafton; and sister-in-law Helen Schueneman of Milwaukee. Further survived by six nieces, two nephews, nine great-nieces, 10 great-nephews, six great-great-nieces, seven great-great-nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends.

Mrs. Schueneman was a secretary for the Milwaukee Public School system. She retired on July 1, 1976.

Funeral service was held Satureday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend. Interment was at Graceland cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer society or St. John’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Sandy Towell
Sandy Towell, nee Preston, of West Bend, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000.
She was the beloved wife of Chester Towell; loving mother of Jane (Jared) Hoffarth, Judy Hartman and James Praessel; fond stepmother of Amy (David) Anderson, Susan (Dennis) Burkwald, Bruce (Vicky) Towell, Ric (Donna) Towell; proud grandma of Nicole, Nick, Malory, Justin, Morgan, Kyle, Cory and Alexis. She is also survived by a brother, Jerry, and other wonderful relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Drive, West Bend.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or Pilgrim Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Herbert G. Miller
Herbert G. Miller, 87, of Milwaukee, was born to eternal life on Friday, Aug. 25, 2000.
He was the beloved husband of 60 years of Beulah (nee Dryer); loving dad of Jeffrey H. (Barbara) of West Bend, and Pat (Gary) Kelly; proud grandpa of J. Ryan and Stephanie Miller, Bill (Clare) and Michele Martin, Jeni (Bill) Hartel and Jason Kelly. He is further suvived by other relatives and friends.

Herbert was the founder of Better Brands Distributing Co. in Germantown, a family business since 1947.

He was the past treasurer of National Beer Wholesalers Association, past president of Germantown Rotary and a member of McKinley Masonic Lodge No. 307, F&AM.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 28, at the Krause Funeral Home, 9000 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, with private burial in Wisconsin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Pentecost Evangelical Lutheran Church or Luther Manor are appreciated.

Edwin Jahr
Edwin Jahr, 67, of the town of Fredonia, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at his residence from a heart condition.
He was born March 9, 1933, in Fond du lac, to the late Edwin and Vivian (Thackrey) Jahr.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was retired after 41 years at Continental Can Co. in Milwaukee.

On Feb. 21, 1953, he married Marilynn Maass in Milwaukee.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Newburg.

Mr. Jahr was an avid hunter and was a hunter education instructor of the DNR.

Survivors include his wife; children, Mark (Sue) and Vicki DornBrook, both of Milwaukee, and Felicia Torrison of Adell; eight grandchildren, Harmonie, Scarlett, Remington, Brittanie, Stephanie, Caitlynn, Brandon and Cory.

Preceding him in death were a son, Brett, and a sister, Vivian Kraft.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Newburg, with Rev. John Baumann officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in his name for St. John's Building Fund.

The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington assisted the family with arrangements.

Dorothy W. Okrusch
Dorothy W. Okrusch, nee Kempf, of West Bend, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center, at the age of 89.

She was born March 25, 1911, in Kewaskum, to the late Fred and Anna (nee Retzlaff) Kempf, and married Max Okrusch on July 28, 1928, at St. John's Church, New Fane.

Her husband passed away on Jan. 14, 1967.

Dorothy was a member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, West bend.

She was very fond of her granddaughter and her great-grandchildren, and loved to crochet.

Survivors include her daughter, Gertrude "Trudy" (Roman) Fellenz of West Bend; a granddaughter, Darla Schultz of West Bend; five great-grandchildren Stacy Meilahn, Heather Schultz, Lauren Schultz, Kayla Schultz and Philip Schultz, all of West Bend; two sisters, Irene Uhlmann of Oconomowoc and Helen Bechler of West Bend; two brothers, Hugo (Evelyn) and Henry (Joyce), both of West Bend; four sisters-in-law, Clara Kempf of Kewaskum Virginia Kempf, Edna Kempf and Ruth Kempf, all of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a sister, Elsadia Frank, and eight brothers, Erwin, Edwin, Rudolph, John, William, Fred, Otto and Paul.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend.

Rev. James Ziesemer will officiate, and burial will follow in Lutheran Memorial Park, Kewaskum.

Visitation at the church only will be Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Memorials to Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church or Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School are appreciated.

The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family.
