Richard "Dick" Lambert
Richard "Dick" Lambert, 66, Mountain, formerly of Green Bay, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, in Eagle River, WI. He was born on August 22, 1933, in Green Bay to the late Bernard and Myrul Maloney Lambert. Dick graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1951. On October 9, 1954, he married the former Florence Verstoppen at St. Edward and Isadore Catholic Church, Flintville. He was employed by James River Paper Company for 43 years until retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Mountain, and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 4869, Oconto Falls. Dick was an avid hunter, muskie fisherman and Packers fan. He passed away while fishing, doing what he liked to do best. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Florence; five children, Linda Jerry Oryall, Green Bay; Dennis "Chopper" Cheri Lambert, Suamico; Janice Ken Vandevelde, Mountain; Julie Tim Barlament, Abrams; and Lori Tim Pallock, Sobieski; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Jim Jenn Lambert, Aurora, CO; Mary Lou Couillard, Green Bay; Jerry Maria Lambert, Green Bay; Carol Terry Young, Winneconne; Lois Bob Woodford, Green Bay; Sharon Mike Vincent, Oconto; and Toby Susan Lambert, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Phillip 'Sonny' McLeod; and one brother-in-law, Jack Couillard. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Green Bay, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., where a prayer service will take place at 7 p.m. Visitation continues after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Howard, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

Lydia Rickert (nee Kobus)
Lydia Rickert, 'nee Kobus', 97, died July 5, 2000 at Littleton, Colorado. She was born to Mike and Molly Kobus, now deceased. In life she married Paul Rickert; he preceded her in death. Survivors include two brothers, John Crystal Kobus, Ed Kobus; three sisters, Frieda Ralph Padgett, Helen Jacobson and Alma Bill Benser; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Sunday, July 9, from 4 p.m. until time of service. Funeral service was held Sunday, 6 p.m., at the Funeral Home. Committal service was 10 a.m. Monday. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Past member of the Bay View Baptist Church. Altstadt-Tyborski, Ermenc - McLeod Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James D. Rudolph
James D. Rudolph, 52, of 114 Victor Street, Coleman died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 4, 2000 at Bay Area medical Center, Marinette. He was born to the late Francis and Marion Ridge Rudolph July 24, 1947. James graduated from Coleman High School in 1965 and went on to graduate from Northwestern College of Watertown in 1970. He was a staunch Republican which drove his parents crazy and for this reason enjoyed collecting elephants. James enjoyed meeting new people through the internet. He was a very active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Coleman where he served as Vice President and Elder of the congregation. Surviving are two sisters, Mary Joseph Block, Bonduel; Janet Doug Smaney, Lena; and one brother, Jon Rudolph, Coleman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman. Funeral service was held Saturday, July 8, 11 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Coleman with Pastor Gregory Stahlecker officiating. Interment at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.

Ellsworth A. Gerndt
Ellsworth A. Gerndt, 85, Suring, died Thursday, July 6, 2000 after a long illness. Ellsworth was born April 21, 1915, to the late John and Amanda Gerndt in the Town of How, Oconto County. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Schuettpelz on August 21, 1940, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hayes. A life-long farmer in Suring, he remained active in agriculture, conservation, and community affairs until his illness. He started the Iron Bridge Farms, one of the top dairy herds in the State of Wisconsin. A long time director of the Oconto County Holstein Breeders Association, he was awarded the Distinguished Holstein Breeder award. Ellsworth was one of the founders of the Oconto County Dairy Promotion events, and an officer of the American Farm Bureau of Oconto County and its legislative affairs representative for many years. A strong advocate for conservation, he was the recipient of numerous soil conservation awards and his farm was the site of many community visits and demonstrations showing the latest innovations in agriculture and conservation. Ellsworth served as a 4-H leader for fifteen years and was president of the 4-H Leader Association. He also received the FFA Chapter Farmer award for his work with youth. A life-long member of the Republican party, he served as a delegate for twenty years. He and Lorraine were active members of the National League of Families for Prisoners of War. He was a trustee and served on various committees at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Suring where he had been a member for over forty years. Ellsworth was selected for the Who's Who of American Agriculture and he received the Outstanding Senior Citizen Award for the Suring Area sponsored by the Civic Club. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lorraine, Suring; three sons, Gerald Donna Gerndt, Town of Genesee, Waukesha County, WI; Donald Jane Gerndt, DeForest, WI; Dennis Jean Gerndt, Suring, WI; eight grandchildren; one brother, John Betty Gerndt, Jr. of Townsend, WI; one sister, Eva Roe of Ocala, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger, and one sister, Elsie. Visitation was at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring. Funeral services were held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2000 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Suring with the Rev. Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Robert Bob C. Boswell
Robert Bob C. Boswell, 51, Oconto Falls, died suddenly Monday afternoon, June 26, 2000 while fishing with his brother in Shawano County. He was born November 1, 1948 in Manitowoc to John and June Riebe Boswell. As a teenager Bob moved with his family to Oconto Falls where he graduated from high school with the class of 1968. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge from service, Bob moved back to Oconto Falls and became a school bus driver for the Oconto Falls School District, a position he has held the past 27 years. He was a member of the Oconto Falls American Legion Post No. 302. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to rummage sales and auctions. Survivors are his parents, John and June Boswell, Madison; three brothers, David Sandra Boswell, Oconto Falls; John II Lynne Boswell, Milwaukee; Dell Boswell, Arizona; one sister, Kathy Dan Johnson, Madison; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael, on August 4, 1996. Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Patricia DeGroot, St. Anthony's Church Parish Direcor, presiding. Burial in St,. Anthony's Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

Alfred Edward Sellen
Alfred Edward Sellen, 76, Oconto, died June 28, 2000 at the Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette. Alfred was born August 28, 1923 at Lena to the late Nels and Hulda Anderson Sellen. He operated a dairy farm in the Town of Little River all his life, retiring in 1980. Survivors include two sisters, Esther Huddleson, Orlando, FL; Lydia Noack, Milwaukee; special friend and companion, Harriet Zeifert, Oconto; nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto. Funeral sergvices were 11 a.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Mepsted officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.

Adella E. Prue
Adella E. Prue, 89, of W8407 County Q, Pound, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette. The daughter of the late Henry and Mary Beske Seils was born September 5, 1910 in the Town of Grover. Adella was a 1928 graduate of Marinette High School. She was employed at the Pound Post Office, Seils Brothers Garage in Pound and also at the Farmers State Bank, Pound. Adella was married to George Prue on January 1, 1946 in Coleman. She was a member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Beaver. Surviving are her husband, George Prue; tow sons, Bill and Tom Prue, Pound; one sister, Caroline Pelot, of Pound; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Czereniewski, of Crivitz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Seils; and two brothers, Harry and Martin Seils. Friends called at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Beaver Hwy 64 from 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Rev. Mark Hannemann officiating with interment in Forest Home Cemetary, Marinette.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her memory. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman assisted the family with arrangements.

Mrs. William Irene Kosbab
Mrs. William Irene Kosbab, 74, of Lena, formerly of Green Bay and Shawano Lake, died Monday, June 26, 2000, surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born on September 9, 1925 in Angelica, to the late Felix and Anna Frusky Wleczyk. On February 15, 1947, she married William Kosbab; he preceded her in death on June 6, 1986. Irene was employed by Shopko for many years prior to retiring. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. She was a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma. One of her joys in life was making candy and cookies for all during the holidays. She also spent her time playing bingo and chatting over coffee. Survivors include one sone and daughter-in-law, Craig and Lisa Kosbab, De Pere; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Kevin Brunette, De Pere; and DArlene and Willie Ingalls, Lena; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Raymond Eleanor Vandermoss, Green Bay; one brother-in-law, Rudoph Kosbab, Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law, Minnie Harold Molleson, Milwaukee; and Jean Wleczyk, Green Bay; amny special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Seh was also preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; and a very special family friend, Arnold Zimmerman. Friends called at Lyndahl Funderal Home, Lomardi Ave. at Ridge Rd. Green Bay where a parish wake service was held. A Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.cm. Thrusday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church with teh Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Interment in Fort Howard Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.
