Janice M. Foerst
Funeral services were held in Cedarburg on Monday, Sept. 11, for Janice M. Foerst, (nee Coda), 59, who died on Sept. 8, 2000.
Mrs. Foerst was born in Superior on Oct. 28, 1940 to Anthony and Dorothy Coda (nee Nadolski). She attended Superior schools, and was a graduate of Wisconsin State University - Superior and St. Mary’s School of Medical Technology, Duluth Minn. She was a longtime active member of the Cedarburg Woman’s Club.
Survivors include: husband William Foerst of Cedarburg; daughters Ann-Marie Foerst of Minneapolis, Minn., Rebecca (David) Foerst-Becker and Katherine Foerst, both of Milwaukee; brothers Anthony (Mary) Coda, Peter (Carol) Coda of Duluth and James Coda (Janice) of Superior.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sylvester J. Lauters
Sylvester J. Lauters, 65, of Kewaskum, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at his home.
He was born Feb. 18, 1935, in the town of Fredonia, to the late Lawrence and Cordelia (Krell) Lauters, and on May 8, 1982, married Irene Wahnschaffe at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum. She passed away on Nov. 4, 1993.
On Nov. 27, 1999, he married Audrey Leider at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kewaskum.
Mr. Lauters was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Richard (Dorothy) Leider of Rocky Mount, N.C. and Larry (Kelly) Leider of Campbellsport; two stepdaughters, Susan (Terry) Leininger and Lynette (Jeff) Benike, both of Campbellsport; a brother, Jerome of Random Lake; six step-grandchildren, Lisa, Luke and Brady Leider, Anthony Leininger, Richard and Michael Benike; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were an infant sister, Clara and a step-grandson, Brian Leider.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Miller Funeral Home Kewaskum.
Rev. Timothy Henning will officiate, and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Cross Cemetery, town of Belgium.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Theresa Kachelmeier
Theresa Kachelmeier, nee Kern, 84, of Slinger, died Saturday Sept. 16, 2000, at the Hartford Care Center Hartford.
She was born Sept. 14, 1915, in Kolbermoor, Germany, to the late John and Anna (nee Gumplinger) Kern, and came to America at an early age.
Following her marriage to Henry C. Kostalek on Sept. 16, 1936, at St. Ann's Catholic Church of Milwaukee, the couple lived in Milwaukee.
He passed away in July of 1948.
Later she married Frank J. Kachelmeier Sr. on June 20, 1950, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Slinger. They lived in Slinger where they owned and operated Slinger Bakery for over 20 years, retiring in 1969.
Survivors include her husband; four children, John (Carol) Kostalek of Eau Claire, Frances (James) Peeters of Black Creek, Roland (Patricia) Kostalek of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Frank Jr. (Merrie Lynne) Kachelmeier of Colgate; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren a stepsister, Rose Moerner of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Anna and Marie and a stepbrother, Walter.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Slinger, the Christian Mother's Society and the Legion of Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Slinger.
Fr. Robert J. Bales will officiate, and interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated.

Michael J. Ackeret Sr.
Michael J. Ackeret Sr., 51, of Saukville, died suddenly Friday, Sept. 15, 2000.
He was born Aug. 2, 1949, in Milwaukee, to Stanley and Joyce (Kostner) Ackeret, grew up in Cedarburg and graduated from Cedarburg High School.
On Dec. 14, 1990, he married Debra Miksic in Port Washington.
For the last 12 years Mike was employed by the W H Jacklin Co., Milwaukee, as a sheet metal worker. He was a 32-year member of the I A of M Sheet Metal Workers Local 18.
Mike was at home outdoors, and would often travel up north near Crivitz or even to Canada to hunt bear.
His passion was golf and archery. He was a member of the Newburg Sportsman's Club and appreciated a good game of sheepshead and horseshoes. Over the years he also enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael (Heather) Ackeret Jr. of Port Washington; his parents, Stanley and Joyce Ackeret of Lake Arrowhead; a grandson, Alexander Ackeret; three sisters, Sherry (Stanley) Richards of Fredonia, Barb (Craig) Cartwright of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Nancy (Steve) Crook of Port Washington; a brother, Bill (Barb) of Saukville; his father-in-law, Walter Miksic of Saukville; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, at the Poole Funeral Home, 203 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington.
Rev. Dennis Ackeret of Christ the King Catholic Church, Wauwatosa and Mike's cousin, will be the officiant.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. on Monday.

Marie A. Pelke
Marie A. Pelke, nee Kimla, of West Bend, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, at the age of 93.
She was born March 20, 1907, in Wabeno, to the late Joseph and Mary (Kopecky) Kimla, and married Gerhardt Pelke.
He passed away in February, 1959.
She graduated from Marquette University, Milwaukee, with a degree in nursing.
Marie worked at the VA Hospital of Milwaukee and then at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend, retiring in the early 1970s.
She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.
Survivors include a son, Paul of Reno, Nev.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Frances Aberwald and Ursula Buchelt, both of West Bend.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.
Father Jerry Brittian will officiate, and interment will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Sylvester A. ‘Fats’ Naumann
Sylvester A."Fats" Naumann, 86, of West Bend died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 12, 1914, in the town of Scott, Sheboygan County, to the late John and Veronica (nee Kumrow) Naumann. On Oct. 24, 1936, he was married to Alvinia "Tootie" Fischer at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend. She preceded him in death on July 25, 1971.
He was then married to Margaret Johann (nee Kohl) at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend. She also preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 2000.
Sylvester served as the Sheriff of Washington County from 1949 to 1952, after which he was a salesman for Bend Industries until his retirement in 1976.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend Masonic Lodge #138 F & AM, Loyal Order of the Moose West Bend Lodge #1398, Royal Neighbors and was involved in several card clubs in West Bend.
He is survived by four children, Darrell Naumann, Adrian (Carol Pick) Naumann, Bruce (Phyllis) Naumann and Glenn (Joann Naumann), all of West Bend; five step-children, Barbara (Roger) Landvatter, Kathleen (Larry) Mezera, Mike Johann, Mary (David) Wolf and Sherry (Richard) Prost, all of West Bend; a son-in-law, Ken (Chris) Berkel of Rubicon; 30 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Irene Kohl of Kewaskum; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Sandra Johann-Berkel; a granddaughter Jennifer Johann-Berkel; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend. Rev. Terry Berg and Rev. Victor Hackbarth will co-officiate. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Brian L. Dodson
Funeral services were held earlier this week for Brian L. Dodson, 31, of Fredonia, who died Sept. 15, 2000 in a car crash.
Services were held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Belgium, with Rev. Elmer Lisch officiating. Arrangements were handled by Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.
Mr. Dodson was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 9, 1969, son of Arnold and Carol (nee Luhman) Dodson.
He married Karlotta "Karla" Kleinschmidt on May 22, 1993 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Belgium. Mr. Dodson was a supervisor at Johnson Level and Tool in Mequon.
Survivors include his wife Karla Dodson and their unborn child; parents Arnold and Carol Dodson of Saukville; sisters Donna Dodson of Saukville and Sherri Dodson of Grafton; in-laws Elroy and Ruth Kleinschmidt; brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
