Ehrma L. Borst
Ehrma L. Borst (nee Anadell) of Slinger passed away on Friday, Sept. 22, 2000 at her residence. She was 72 years old.
She was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 21, 1928 to Lloyd and Ada (nee Timm) Anadell. She married George A. Borst on May 15, 1948 in Waukegan, Ill.
Ehrma was raised in Milwaukee. After marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee until moving to Slinger in 1969. She was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church of Slinger.
She is survived by her husband, George; four children, George III "Butch" (Lisa) Borst of Newburgh, Ind., Jerry (Debbie) Borst of The Woodlands, Tex., Jon (Jacki) Borst of Mayville, and Jody Svien of West Bend; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dolores Wendtlandt of Grafton, LaVerne Melsheimer of Milwaukee, and Sharon (Dick) Malkowski of Mukwonago; and one brother, Bobby Doll. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Walter Doll.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park of Brookfield in The Chapel of the Flowers with Pastors David R. Cooper and James Castillo officiating. Visitation will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. in The Chapel of the Flowers. Interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

Gertrude L. Steel
Gertrude L. Steel, nee Feldt, 83, of Houston, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Ashland, to the late Albert and Bertha (neeYeager) Feldt.
She lived in Clintonville for a while and then Florida before moving to Texas where she lived most of her life.
Gertrude worked as a court reporter for many years and was an American court reporter for the Nuremberg Trials in Germany after World War II.
Survivors include a nephew, Roger (Cordell) Strack of Kewaskum; a niece, Carol (Harold) Roecker of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a sister, Olga Albright, and a brother-in-law, Albert Albright.
Visitation at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, will be held Thursday, Sept. 28 from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service and burial at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
James H. Kutcheid
James H. Kutcheid, 53, of Milwaukee, formerly of West Bend, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at his residence.
He was born May 22, 1947, in Milwaukee, to Harvey and Elizabeth (Markert) Kutcheid, and graduated from West Bend High School in 1965.
He had been a professor of German at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a director of computer programming at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Kutcheid of West Bend; two brothers, Jerome (Diana) of Milwaukee and Charles (Penny) of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, and a sister, Kathryn.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners.
The family will greet family and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Miller C. "Bill" Schmitz
Miller C. "Bill" Schmitz of Cedarburg, 88, died Sept. 24, 2000. Mueller Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Schmitz was born Nov. 12, 1911 in Manitowoc, son of Edward and Clara (nee Mueller) Schmitz. He was married to Lucile Nelson and worked for the Yankee Co. and Mead Co. as a salesman. Mr. Schmitz was a WWII veteran with the U. S. Navy; 32 Degree Mason and enjoyed the horse patrol. He was also known as "the Mushroom Man."
Survivors include daughter Katherine Kaufman of Cedarburg and brother Richard (Shirley) Schmitz of Manitowoc.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucile (nee Nelson), son David "Buzz" Schmitz (Katherine’s twin) and nephew Charles Nelson Conley.
Donald L. "Don" Graack
Memorial services were held Wednesday at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Donald L. "Don" Graack, 59, who died on Sept. 23, 2000. Pastor Donald Weiss officiated at the ceremony and the Peter Wollner American Legion, Cedarburg, had a service earlier the same evening. Mueller Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Graack was born June 28, 1941 in Milwaukee, son of Leslie and Gladys (nee Aspen) Graack. He attended Custer High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Graack was a member of the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin and was employed at Onyx.
Survivors include mother Gladys Graack of Milwaukee; children Carl Tyler Graack, Christine Ann (Michael) Graack-Buhmeyer and Brian Leslie (Cindy Lee) Graack, all of Charleston, S.C.; grandson Michael Zachariah Buhmeyer; sisters Joyce (Herman) Kuphal of Cedarburg, Shirley Harthum of Milwaukee and Marilyn (Ken) Blum of Thiensville.
Further survived by many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father Leslie Graack and wife Susie (nee Nelsen).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Alice C. Peebler
Alice C. Peebler, nee Rosenthal, of St. Charles, Ill., formerly of West Bend, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at her residence, at the age of 87.
She was born Aug. 29, 1913, in West Bend, to the late Fred and Laura (Paff) Rosenthal, and graduated from West Bend High School in 1932.
After her marriage to Orval F. Peebler on Aug. 1, 1940, in West Bend, the couple lived in Milwaukee, moving back to West Bend where she worked at B C Ziegler until retirement.
She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church of West Bend.
Her husband passed away May 17, 1943.
Survivors include a son, Frederick (Mary Lou) of St. Charles; a granddaughter, Michelle (David) Devorak of Illinois; a grandson, Richard Peebler of St. Charles; a great-grandson, Colin Devorak; three sisters, Dorothy (Herb) Werner and Anita (James) Richter, both of Milwaukee, and Erna (Marvin) Zarling of West Bend; a brother, Henry (Viola) Rosenthal of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a sister and brother-in-law, Lola and Walter Werner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church of West Bend.
Pastor Calvin Seban will officiate, and interment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Saturday at the church only from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

Marie F. Cleary
Marie F. Cleary, nee Philippi, of Hartford, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at Alexian Village, Milwaukee, at the age of 78.
She was born Jan. 30, 1922, in West Bend, to the late Alban and Susan (Laufer) Philippi, and graduated from West Bend High School.
On June 24, 1950, she married A. John "A.J." Cleary at St. John Church, Monches.
She was a member of St. John's and the Christian Mothers Society.
Until April of this year, Marie lived in the town of Erin where she and her husband operated a dairy farm that has been in the Cleary family since 1968. It is currently farmed by her son, Thomas.
She was the loving mother of Catherine (James) Wilbert, Patricia (Patrick) Hansen and Thomas (Diane), all of Hartford; beloved grandmother of Sean (fiancee Kelly Schaumann) Hansen, Johanna Wilbert, Elizabeth (fiance Marc Kuntz) Hansen, Daniel Cleary and John Cleary; dear sister of Evelyn Fischer, Laverne (Tom) Winkler, Harold (Dolores), Wilmer, Edward (Kathy) and Donald (Pat) Philippi; fond sister-in-law of Leroy Hausmann. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband and a sister, Jeanette Hausmann.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at noon at St. John Church, Monches. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Thompson.
Visitation at the church only will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The Matenaer-Schramka Funeral Home, Hartford, is assisting the family.

Dolores Theresa Boegel
Dolores Theresa Boegel, nee Hurth, 83, of Kewaskum, formerly of Allenton, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at Mapledale Manor in Kewaskum.
She was born Jan. 26, 1917, in St. Kilian, to the late Peter and Susan (Kraemer) Hurth, and on May 23, 1936, married Reinhold Boegel at St. Kilian Catholic Church, St. Kilian.
He passed away on May 12, 1996.
Mrs. Boegel was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, Allenton, and the Apostolate of the Suffering.
She was employed by the Dinner Bell in the town of Wayne for nine years and retired from the Fireside Restaurant in Allenton after 17 years of service.
Survivors include three sisters, Mary Dietenberger of Hartford, Florence Bonlender and Cordell (Ralph) Kern, both of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Louisanna (Allen) Reindl of Kewaskum; two brothers-in-law, Raymond (Grace) Boegel of St. Kilian and Edwin Amerling of Kewaskum; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were an infant brother, Armond, and a sister, Marcella Batzler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Resurrection Catholic Church, Allenton.
Father Richard Breitbach will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Kilian Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Kilian.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m., and on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
