Erick James Campbell
Erick James Campbell, infant son of William Campbell and Tamara Morrow of West Bend, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, shortly after birth at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.

Survivors include his parents; five brothers and sisters, Zachary Morrow, Wesley Morrow, Amanda Morrow, Maximus Morrow and Zada Campbell; his grandparents, Zada and Steve Jones of California; two uncles, Erick Campbell and Donald Campbell, both of California.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend., with Rev. Jason Clark of First Baptist Church officiating.

Donald H. Engelbrecht
Funeral services were held Sunday at David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kirchhayn for Donald H. Engelbrecht, 71, of Jackson, who died Nov. 2, 2000 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee.
Mr. Engelbrecht was born Aug. 23, 1929 in Milwaukee, son of the late Arthur and Marie (nee Hannemann) Engelbrecht. He married Jan Baesemann in April of 1970 at David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He and his father operated Engelbrecht & Son service station in Grafton, and later he worked as a mechanic for Wegner-Hinz and for Lauer’s True Value Hardware Store in Grafton.

Mr. Engelbrecht was a member of the Grafton Fire Department for more than 25 years, and was a member of David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife Jan Engelbrecht of Jackson; daughter Kathleen (Thomas) of Menomonee Falls; grandsons Clint and Craig Walkner; sister JoAnn Miller of Mukwonago; nephew Guy (Naomi) Miller of Mukwonago; other relatives and friends.

Helen L. Schrauth
Helen L. Schrauth, 97, formerly of Campbellsport, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lomira.
She was born in the town of Leroy on Nov. 1, 1903, to the late Joseph and Ida (Schraufnagel) Hadaller, and married Killian Schrauth on June 30, 1924, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Leroy.

He passed away on Nov. 14, 1978.

She was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Campbellsport, the Christian Mothers and Altar Society, Catholic Nights, St. Lawrence Seminary Guild, the Apostolate of Suffering, the VFW Auxiliary Post 8339 Campbellsport, the Bintzler-Waehler Post 347 American Legion Auxiliary Lomira and the Campbellsport Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son, Gerald (Una) of Campbellsport; two daughters, Betty Waechter of Kewaunee and June (Sylvester) Biertzer of West Bend; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marge Lumblo of Fond du Lac, Marie Woller and Jane Thorton, both of Oakfield; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a son, Dennis Patrick, four brothers and a sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Campbellsport, following a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport. Burial will follow in St. Matthew's Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Memorials are appreciated to the St. Matthew's Debt Retirement Fund.

Eileen Klein
Eileen Klein, nee Weis, 63, of Kewaskum, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at University Hospital, Madison.
She was born Sept. 5, 1937, in Dundee, to the late of Raymond and Margaret (Haegler) Weis, and on Oct. 29, 1960, married Donald Klein at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Campbellsport.

Mrs. Klein was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kerry (Susan) of Kewaskum and Scott (special friend Sharon DeDad) of Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter, Sandy (Thomas) Cody of Green Bay; her mother, Margaret Weis of Cambellsport; two brothers, Jerome (Beverly) Weis of Loveland, Colo. and Michael (Sheila) Weis of Campbellsport; two sisters, Barbara (Eric) Falk and Marjean Weis, both of Campbellsport; seven grandchildren, Tonya, Angela, Natasha and Sara Klein, Ethan, Hannah and Noah Cody; a great-grandson, Devin Dunn; and other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a son, Joseph; her father, Raymond; and a brother, Lewis Weis.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum.

Father Mark Jones will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m.

BettyJean Falls
BettyJean Falls, nee Miller, 35, of the town of Addison, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
She was born Oct. 18, 1965, in West Bend, to Joseph and Jane E. (nee Koester) Miller, and on April 9, 1999, married Dan Falls in West Bend.

At the time of her death, BettyJean was employed as a chef at Grand Central Station in Allenton.

One of her main passions was fishing, in which she could out-fish anyone. Her other hobbies and interests included horses, collecting antiques, sewing and other various crafts.

Survivors include her husband, soul mate and best friend, Dan; two children, Jacob and Joshua Osborne, both of Allenton; two step-children, Michelle and Bradley Falls, both of Ashippun; her parents, Joe and Jane Miller of Juneau; three sisters, Amanda Koester of Green Bay, Kelly (Thomas) Hauck of Newburg and Veronica (Ron) Newell of Juneau; two brothers, Donald (Karen) of Iron Ridge and William (friend Tammy Miles) of Menasha; Her parents-in-law, Hunter and Margaret Falls of Rome, Wis.; three brothers-in-law, Tim (Christine) Falls of Chicago, Ill., Jeff (Pam) Falls of Menomonee Falls and Terry (Denise) Falls of New Berlin; a sister-in-law, Diane Falls (friend Bob) of Brookfield; a close family friend, Doug Osborne of Allenton; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a sister, Jennifer, her grandparents and great-grandparents.

Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Allenton.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m., and also Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.

William B. "Bill" Duehning
William B. "Bill" Duehning, 82, of Slinger died on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend..
Bill was born Oct. 12, 1918 in Slinger to the late Arthur and Anna (nee Stuettgen) Duehning. He graduated from Slinger High School in 1936, and was a life-long and well-known resident of Slinger.

He served four years as a heavy equipment operator in the U.S. Navy Seabees in Guam and the Aleutian Islands during World War II.

After returning from service, he owned and operated Duehning Construction & Excavating Company in Slinger up to the time of his death.

Bill married Gertrude C. "Trudie" Nowicki in 1944 in Milwaukee.

He is survived by his daughter Marion "Misty" Oelhafen of Allenton; five granddaughters, Lisa (Craig) Freiberg of Van Dyne, Wis., Lynna Wagner of Allenton, Tracy (Tim) Oestreich of West Bend, Kelli J. Duehning of San Francisco, Calif., and Lori Oelhafen (Doug Cox) of Allenton; six great-grandchildren, Kyle Wagner, Kodi, Ryan and Meg Freiberg, and Tyler and Taylor Oestreich; two brothers, Art (Issy) Duehning and Leo Duehning, both of Slinger; five sisters, Delores (Sig) Rudorf of Big Cedar Lake, Marcie McCardle of Milwaukee, Elsie Marcy, Annie Merganthaler, and Carol (Norm) Saegert, all of Slinger; five sisters-in-law, Doris Duehning of Hurst, Texas, Sue Duehning of Flint, Mich., Ruth Nowicki of Slinger, Martha Paczesny of Milwaukee and Bernice Nowicki of Eagle; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death was his wife on Feb. 7, 1999; a son, Dennis "Denny" in 1981, and two faithful companions, Fobs 1 and Fobs II; four brothers, Ed, Harry, John and Ralph Duehning; two sisters, Emmie Greenbank and Lorraine Horsch; seven brothers-in-law, Pat Horsch, Whitey Merganthaler, Warren McCardle, Phil, Dick and Leo Nowicki and Bob Greenbank; two sisters-in-law, Rose Miller and Christine Nowicki.

Bill was a 50-plus member of Local 139 International Union of Operating Engineers, a member of St. Peter's Church in Slinger, a member of the VFW Post 8834 of Hartford, was a certified Master Plumber, a retired member of the Slinger Fire Department, a member of the Midwest Watch Fob Collectors, the American Legion and the 23rd U.S. Navy Seabees Association.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of Slinger with Father Norman Schwartz officiating.

Closing of the casket prayers were at the funeral home on Monday at 9:45 am. followed by the internment at Old St. Peter's Cemetery of Slinger at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation at the funeral home was on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Samaritan Health Care Center for its outstanding care and compassion.

Virginia A. Riesch
Virginia A. Riesch of West Bend, formerly of Slinger, passed away on Friday, Oct. 27, 2000 at Cedar lake Health Care Center. She was 79 years old.

She was born in the Town of Polk on June 30, 1921 to Frank and Catherine (nee Kestell) Meyer. She married Van E. Riesch on Jan. 20, 1944 at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Slinger.

Virginia was raised in Slinger by Michael (Anna) Meyer. She attended Slinger High School, graduating in 1939. After marriage, she and her husband lived in Slinger, where she was the co-owner and operator of Van's Custer Stand of Slinger for over 20 years (1950 to the 1970's). She was also a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Slinger.

She is survived by six children, Susan (David) Peplinski of Cecil, Michael (Ruth) Riesch of Gillett, Mary Riesch and David Titus of Washington, D.C., David Riesch of Milwaukee, Theresa Riesch of Rock Hill, S.C., and Kathleen (Robert) Racine of Slinger; three grandchildren, Michelle Peplinski of Madison, Sean Riesch of West Allis and James Racine of Slinger. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 11, 1990; and one sister, Helen Stoehr.

Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 4 at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of Slinger with Father Robert J. Bales officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home only from 9 a.m. to noon. Cremation at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac with interment of ashes at (old) St. Peter's Cemetery of Slinger on Saturday.

Georgia A. Simons
Georgia A. Simons, 82, of Kewaskum passed away on Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.

She was born on Aug. 21, 1918, in West Allis, to the late George and Katie (Green) Clow, and on Jan. 7, 1943, was united in marriage with George Simons in Milwaukee.

Her husband passed away Feb. 29, 1976.

Mrs. Simons was a member of Kewaskum Living Waters Church.

Survivors include four children, David of Batavia, James of West Bend, Cheri Lee (Ronald) Staehler of Eden and Dawn Louise (Dennis) Hanson of Kingman, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a son, Lawrence, a brother, and 12 sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at Kewaskum Living Waters Church, with Rev. Joseph Brath officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. until the time of services at the church only.

In honor of her wishes, cremation has taken place.

The Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, is serving the family.
