Mary R. Singer
Funeral services were held Sunday at Divine Word Catholic Church, Cedarburg, for Mary R. Singer (nee Rowland), 42, who died Nov. 7, 2000.
Private interment was at Calvary Cemetery, with arrangements handled by Schramka-Gunther Funeral Home.

Mrs. Singer was a 1980 graduate of Mount Mary College, with a degree in home economics education.

She is survived by her husband Terry Singer, sons Matthew and Benjamin, father Chester Rowland, in-laws Roy and Lucille Singer, sisters Margaret Rowland and Louise (Kevin) Birschbach, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She also leaves behind her dogs Molly and Maggie.

Mrs. Singer was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Rowland.

The family extends its thanks to the doctors and staff at St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee.

Frances Marie Herian
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton, for Frances Marie Herian (nee Dymesich), 80. Burial was held at the church cemetery on Saturday. Mueller Funeral Home of Grafton assisted the family.
Mrs. Herian was born Nov. 17, 1919 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Catherine M. (nee Fumich) Dymesich. She married Howard C. Herian on October 5, 1946 in Ashland. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton.

Survivors include: husband Howard C. Herian of Grafton; children Michael Herian of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Kathy (Ken) Clifford of Wichita, Kan., Maureen Frings of Concord, N.C., Brian (Donna) Herian of Woodbury, Minn., Dennis Herian of Grafton, Peggy Williams of Wichita, Kan., Kevin (Mary) Herian of Grafton, Eileen (Kevin) Goniu of Mequon and Patrick (Diane) Herian of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren: Mitchell Herian, Mathew and Bridget Clifford, Michael, Kelly, Jennifer Frings, Brian, Bradley, Brittany, and Brett Herian, Malina Herian, Tyan, Ben, Lauren Williams, Eric, Charlie, Bill and Carrie Herian, Natalie and Rachael Goniu; step-grandchildren Matthew and Lindsey Goniu; brothers Frank (Maryann) Dymesich of Brookfield, Sam (Joyce) Dymesich of Benoit, Adolf Dymesich of Carson City, Nev.; sisters Catherine (John) Delfield of Benoit, Isabel Bramel of Poulsbo, Wash.

She was preceded in death by 1 grandson Spencer Herian.

Further survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital Foundation appreciated.

Forest F. "Speed" Survis
Forest F. "Speed" Survis, 81, of West Bend, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at his residence.
He was born March 13, 1919, in St. James, Minn., to the late Daniel and Bessie (nee Cook) Survis, and as a young child moved to the West Bend area with his family.

During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps. as a staff sergeant in the 8th Air Force stationed in England.

Upon his return he was united in marriage to Ruth Bandle on April 2, 1945, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend.

He was a member of the Fred A. Schaefer VFW Post 1393 in West Bend, and retired from A. O. Smith in Milwaukee in 1979, after 23 years of service.

Forest was most known for his music, and played both guitar and violin. His two bands were "Speed Survis and His Cowboys" and The Happy Ramblers." He started playing for WHBL Radio when he was 16 and owned Survis Music Stores in West Bend and Adell. He also taught music to many students.

Survivors include his wife; eight children, Sheila (Frank) Bauer of West Bend, Daniel (Judy) Survis of Kewaskum, Steven (Mary) Survis of Newburg, Gene Survis of Random Lake, Michael (Sandy) Survis and Bruce (Judy) Survis, both of West Bend, Susan (Wayne) Keinmann of Appleton and Alice (Andy Jr.) Breit of Random Lake; 25 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a sister, Phylis (Louis) Leland of Deming, N.M.; a sister-in-law, Delores Bandle of Kewaskum; a brother-in-law, Carl (Betty) Bandle of Theresa; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, Mary Ann, two grandchildren and a brother and sister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m., at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend.

Rev. George Mumm will officiate, and burial will follow in Newark Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from noon until the time of services.

George Meyer
George Meyer, 71, of Cascade, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, where he had been a patient for the past several days.
He was born Sept. 30, 1929, in Port Washington, to the late Gilbert and Rose (Schuessler) Meyer.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict era.

On Nov. 14, 1953, he married Martha Fechter at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Newburg.

The couple farmed in the Elkhart Lake area until retiring in 1985.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cascade and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

George enjoyed playing cards and working on his wood crafts.

Survivors include his loving wife, Martha; four children, Rose Mary Meyer of Cedar Grove, Charles (Georgina) Meyer of Cedar Grove, Diane (Daniel) Meyer of Newton and Kathy (Peter) VandeBoom of Newburg; 10 grandchildren; five brothers, Joe (Carol) of Fredonia, Ted (Mary Ann) of Newton, Gilbert (Loretta) of Fredonia, Leonard of Plymouth and Eugene (Mary) of Port Washington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington.

Father John Theisen will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday after 9 a.m. Parish vigils will be held at the funeral home Monday at 4 and 8 p.m.

Barbara A. Goeden
Barbara A. Goeden, nee Faul, 60, of West Bend, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Wauwatosa.

She was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Brandon, Wis., to the late Charles and Florence (nee Freiberg) Faul, and married Kenneth A. Goeden on Aug. 12, 1961, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, West Bend.

Her favorite thing in life was raising their children and enjoying their grandchildren.

Barbara was a tremendous fisherman and was everybody's best friend.

Survivors include her husband and best friend, Kenneth; three children, John (Jeanette) of Wind Lake, Scott (Shelly) of New Berlin and Debbie (Nat) Kugath of Allenton; five grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Ronald (Loretta) Faul of Tucson, Ariz., Frederick (Dixie) Faul of Neillsville, Ferdinand "Butch" (Rhonda) Faul of Las Vegas, Nev., Donald (Shirley) Faul of Fond du Lac Charles Jr. (Bernie) Faul of West Bend, Mary Beck, Betty Holz and Dorothy Whittaker, all of Fond du Lac and June Boettcher.

Preceding her in death were four brothers-in-law, George Beck, Charles Holz, Louis Whittaker and Willard Boettcher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, with Fr. Jeffrey Haines officiating.

Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the services.

The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.

Michael F. Listwan
Michael F. Listwan, 41, of Big Cedar Lake, West Bend, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000.
He was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 14, 1959, to Frank and Geraldine (nee Du Puis) Listwan, and graduated from Boys Tech High School in 1977.

He received an associate degree from MATC in 1980 and was then employed at Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee as an engine research technician.

Michael moved to Big Cedar Lake in 1989 where he made many new friends and enjoyed the lake. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and was a member of the Nabob Prairie Riders.

Survivors include his mother Geraldine Listwan of Milwaukee; three sisters, Ann Marie (Charles) Azzolina of Glendale, Patricia (James) Dostalek of Milwaukee and Christine (Michael) Hohnstein of Germantown; other relatives and many friends.

Preceding him in death was his father, Frank.

Funeral services and entombment will be held Friday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. at the Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel, Milwaukee.

Visitation at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or the Milwaukee Catholic Home are appreciated by the family.

William H. "Bill" Schumacher
William H. "Bill" Schumacher, 99, of Slinger, formerly of the town of Erin, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at Friedenheim "House of Peace," in Slinger.
He was born Nov. 3, 1901, in the town of Rubicon, to the late Frank and Louisa (Grunske) Schumacher.

After his marriage to Clarabelle E. Blodgett on May 6, 1931, in the town of Hebron, Jefferson County, the couple moved to the town of Erin where they farmed the family homestead all their lives.

He enjoyed sightseeing and visiting with family and friends.

Bill will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife; two children, Ronald (Delores) of Medford and Jean Hautala (friend Gordon Austin) of West Allis; seven grandchildren, Paul (Linda) Hautala, Janet (Gary) Gawrysiak, Beth (David) Hautala, Phillip (Karie) Hautala, Mathew (Anne) Hautala, Gary (Lucy) Schumacher and Gail Whitrock (friend Andy Wyse); 12 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Schumacher of the town of Rubicon; four brothers-in-law, Wayne (Virginia) Blodgett, David Blodgett, DeLou Blodgett and Harvey Hoffman; three sisters-in-law, Katherine (Burt) Wurtz, Marceline (Elmer) McCullough and Dorothy Blodgett; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, June; a son, David; three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

Bill was a member of St. Olaf's Lutheran Church in the town of Ashippun.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of Slinger.

Pastor Larry Westfield will officiate, and interment will follow in St. Olaf's Cemetery, town of Ashippun.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
