Aria E Knoebel
Aria E. Knoebel, nee Schubert, of West Bend, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, West Bend, at the age of 79 years.

She was born on March 29, 1921 in the town of West Bend to the late Louis and Amanda (nee Jaeckel) Schubert, and married Norman Knoebel on April 1, 1939 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Cedar Lake.

Aria was employed as a data processor at The West Bend Co. for many years until retiring in 1986. She was a member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend, and loved to travel.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by five children, Lois (Robert) Groth of West Bend, Kenneth (Mary Ellen) Knoebel of Green Bay, Sharon (Norman) Korneli of Fond du Lac, Judith (John) Lewis of Billion, and Richard (Cynthia) Knoebel of Kewaskum; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce (Chuck) Ritger of Arizona; two brothers-in-law, Ward "Bud" Knoebel of West Bend and Fred "Fritz" Schultz of West Bend; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 6, 1999.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend. Rev. John Paustian will officiate, and burial will be at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, on Monday at 10 a.m.

Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran School are appreciated.

Donald J. Heid
Donald J. Heid, 76, of West Bend, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.

He was born on June 1, 1924 in Galena, Ill, to the late Frank and Edna (nee Chase) Heid. He moved to West Bend at a young age with his parents and graduated from West Bend High School in 1942.

He married Donna Rosenthal on Oct. 23, 1954 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater, and after his discharge, he attended Beloit College and graduated with a business major.

In 1949 he began working for the The West Bend Co. as the Southeast Regional Sales Manager. In 1975 Donald and his wife moved to Marietta, Ga. where he continued to work for The West Bend Co. until 1981.

He then worked at Smith Ace Hardware Store in Marietta for several years, and in 1991 they moved back to West Bend.

He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish, West Bend, a charter member of the St. Frances Cabrini School Board, member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Casper Rehrl Council #1964 and The West Bend Co. 25-Year Club. He also served on the board of A.R.C., played in the Senior League at Hon-E-Kor Golf Club in Kewaskum and was an avid Braves fan.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; three children, Deborah (Steven) Heid Jungwirth of Oshkosh, Mary Beth (Eric) Ringer of Atlanta, Ga. and Ann Heid of West Bend; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Sarah Jungwirth; two brothers, John Heid of West Bend, and Roger Heid of Minneapolis, Minn.; a sister-in-law Phyllis Salter Noe of Wausau; other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, with Fr. Jeffrey Haines presiding.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 6 p.m. until the time of Mass.

Private family inurnment will be at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Memorials to the Threshold are appreciated.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Robert Gibson, the staff of St. Joseph's Community Hospital and the staff of the coronary intensive care unit at St. Luke's Medical Center.

Dora E. 'Dorothy' Draeger
Dora E. "Dorothy" Draeger, nee Olwig, 86, of West Bend, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.

She was born Oct. 18, 1914, in Stettin, Germany to the late Arnold and Martha (nee Knuth) Olwig. The family came to the United States in 1923, settling in Milwaukee.

On June 22, 1935, she was united in marriage to Frank Draeger in Milwaukee. He passed away in 1958.

Dora worked for 23 years in the meat department at Sentry Foods in Milwaukee, and after moving to West Bend in 1972, worked for several years at The West Bend Co.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend, a volunteer for the American Red Cross, an active member of the Washington County Senior Center, and also enjoyed bowling.

Survivors include two sons, Mason (Charlotte) of Menomonee Falls and Gary (Dorothy) of West Bend; four grandchildren, Karen (Gregg) Eiles of Janesville, Brian Draeger of New Berlin, Janet (Rob) Rilling of Menomonee Falls and Jeff Draeger of Mountain View, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Kristen, Benjamin, Zachary and Alyssa; other relatives and many special friends.

Preceding her in death were a stepson, Donald; a granddaughter, Laura Draeger; and 11 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Rev. David Schoob will officiate, and private inurnment will take place in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday at the church only from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Cedar Campus Foundation.

Theodore J. Thull
Theodore J. Thull, 86, of West Bend, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.

He was born May 3, 1914, in St. Michaels, to the late Nick and Anna (nee Schneider Thull, and married Rita M. Eder on May 24, 1941, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.

Teddy was employed as a machinist at Pick Heaters in West Bend prior to his retirement in 1977.

Music was his hobby, and for many years he led a recording dance band called "Teddy and the Lumber Jills."

Survivors include his wife; five children, Anna Thull of West Bend, Barbara (Joseph) Schmitt of Hubertus, Mary Schwartz of Phoenix, Ariz., Gerald (Cyndee) and Anthony, both of West Bend; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lily Uelmen of West Bend and Ann Thull of Kewaskum a brother, Bill (Cyrilla) of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Cresence Thull of Kewaskum; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were four sisters, Veronica Thull, Irma Mueller, Marie Kissinger and Rosina Thull, and a brother, Jack.

Private family services will take place at a later date, with interment of the cremated remains in Holy Angels Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Wisconsin.

The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.

Ann B. Hahn
Ann B. Hahn, nee Schaefer, 100, of Hartford, passed away on Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at Hartford Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 13, 1900, in St. Lawrence to Leopold an Mary (nee Kraemer) Schaefer, and married Erwin Hahn on Nov. 10, 1913, at St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Hartford.

He passed away on June 17, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Don) Mehringer of Arizona and Joyce Fechter of Kewaskum; 12 grandchildren, Keneth (Lynn) Mehringer of Johnson Creek, Dan Mehringer of Arizona, Diane (John) Starits of Arizona, Joanne (Robert) Todd of Waterloo, Ronald (April) Mehringer of Arizona, Janet Schommer of West Bend, Dennis (Teresa) Fechter of Kewaskum, David (Lana) Fechter of West Bend, Judy (Gary) Hahn of Adell, Dean (Jackie) Fechter of West Bend, Jean (Bernd) van Vorshelen of Kewaskum and Jane Muench of Campbellsport; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Till Hanrahan of Milwaukee; three sisters-in-law, Irene Buntrock, Eleanor Alton and Betty Kress, all of Hartford; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a grandson, Jon Mehringer; six brothers, Leo, Art, Peter, Adam, Mattias and Matt; four sisters, Rose, Lidwina, Theresa and Dorothy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. at St. Kilian Church, Hartford.

Father Michael Petrie will officiate, and interment will be in St. Kilian's Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday at the church only from 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorials to St. Kilian Church for the building fund or Masses would be appreciated.

The Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, is assisting the family.

Margaret Orndorf
Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg for Margaret Orndorf, 98, who died on Nov. 14, 2000. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Orndorf was born April 23, 1902 in Stanley, daughter of the late John and Margaret (nee Pinter) Knar. She married Albert Orndorf in Milwaukee in 1929.

She was a city health nurse in Milwaukee for 39 years and attended St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg.

Survivors include: daughter Jane (James) Helmrich of Mequon; granddaughters; Colleen (George) Wigh of Grafton and Margaret (James) Loke of Germantown; great-grandchildren Bradley and Jennifer Wigh of Grafton, Daniel and Thom Loke of Germantown.

Further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, son Thomas and grandson Jeff.

The family would like to thank Lasata Care Center for all their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church appreciated.
