Hilda E. Seidensticker
A funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Hilda E. Seidensticker, 99, formerly of Milwaukee, who died on Dec. 16, 2000. Interment will be at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in West Bend. Visitation will be from 10:30 until time of service.
Hilda was born Jan. 24, 1901 in Iowa, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (nee Peetz) Seidensticker. She worked as a caretaker for the Lemke family all of her life.

Survivors include: cousins: Carl (Laura) Seidensticker and Gertrude Eberhardt.

Further survived by other relatives and friends.

David L. Magnusson
David L. Magnusson, 72, passed away on Dec. 14, 2000 at his home.
Mr. Magnusson was born July 23, 1928, son of Arthur J. "Tyken" and Geneva (nee Caldwell) Magnusson. He married Fern Kolatskie in Milwaukee on March 31, 1951. He was an accountant for the firm of Arthur Andersen. He and his wife purchased the Edge of Town Supper Club in 1970 and operated it until 1990, when they passed it down to their son.

Survivors include: wife Fern; sons Mark (Wendy) of Fredonia, Drew of Las Vegas, David Jr. (Karen) of Grafton; daughters Karen (Stewart) Smith of Valparaiso, Ind., Judy Van Sluys of Phillips; 9 grandchildren, brothers Melbourne of Milwaukee and Lynn of Freeport, Ill; sisters Ruth Johnson and Fave Loise Hoff of Spooner; mother-in-law Leonore Berse.

Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Robert A. Bley
A Memorial Mass will be held today at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Port Washington for Robert A. Bley, 78, formerly of Port Washington, who died on Dec. 16, 2000. Visitation will be at the church from 5-7 p.m. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Robert was a WWII Naval veteran and served aboard the USS APC-41.

Survivors include: wife Sylvia (nee Philipps); children Robert, Steven, Larry, David Bley and Carol (Edwin) Reichelt; grandchildren Matthew, Amanda and Evan; brothers Donald (Iva), Allen (Patricia), William (Esther), Fred (Betty) and Gary (Shirley) Bley; brother-in-law of Fred (Henrietta) Philipps Sr.

Memorials to St. Peter’s Catholic Church or the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin are appreciated.

Jonathan W.S. "Jon" Gunter
Jonathan W.S. "Jon" Gunter, 21, of West Bend, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000 in Polk County, Des Moines, Iowa, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

He was born Oct. 30, 1979, in Rhinelander, to A. Scott and Valerie (nee Stone) Gunter, and was raised in Tomahawk until the age of 5 when the family moved to Wauwatosa and later to Sterling, Colo.

He moved to West Bend with his family in 1988 where he attended Green Tree Elementary School, Silverbrook Middle School and graduated from West Bend East High School in 1998.

Jon was employed at Tennies Hardware in West Bend.

He continued his education at MATC in Mequon where he received his associate degree in tool and die.

Jon was employed at Willer Tool and Die of Jackson. He had moved to Laramie, Wyo. where he was going to receive helicopter training for search and rescue.

Jon loved outdoor sports, including snowboarding, fishing, hiking and off-roading, and a deep love for wolves.

Survivors include his parents, A. Scott Gunter of West Bend and Valerie Gunter of West Bend; a sister, Heather Gunter (Sam Martin and his son Tyler) of Great Falls, Mont.; a brother, David (Elizabeth) Figge of Burnsville, Minn.; a nephew, Jack Figge; maternal grandparents, Sidney and Lilian Stone of Freeport, Ill.; paternal grandmother, Virginia Gunter of West Bend; aunts; uncles; cousins; great uncles; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Alvin Gunter.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of West Bend, Eagle Scout with Troop 762 of West Bend and the Boy Scouts of America.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 7 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church of West Bend.

Pastor Oscar H. Kraft will officiate, and cremation will take place at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac.

Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials are appreciated.

Douglas D. ‘Doug’ Ludwig, 66
Douglas D. "Doug" Ludwig, 66, of West Bend died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital of West Bend.

He was born to Norman and Dorothy (Dawson) Ludwig of Fond du Lac on April 13, 1934, and was raised in that city. He received his bachelor’s of science degree in engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was employed by the West Bend Co. for more than 39 years.

He married Betty Ann VanDeBruggen on June 17, 1977 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of West Bend.

Ludwig was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and was a member of the 25 Year Club of the West Bend Co.

Ludwig is survived by his wife Betty Ann; three children, Michele (George) Pavlovic of Grayslake, Ill., Scott (Mary) Berg of Littleton, Colo., and Chris (Tom) Sawyer of Cottage Grove; four grandchildren, William, Sasha, Danny and Robbie; one sister, Norma Ludwig of Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend with Pastor Victor Hackbarth officiating. Interment will take place at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Holy Angels Cemetery, West Bend.

Visitation will be at Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend, Sunday, Dec. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Judith Ann Schultz
Judith Ann Schultz, nee Scheberl, 50, of Brownsville, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 28, 1950, in Beaver Dam, to Kenneth and Dorothy (nee Grimm) Scheberl, and married John Schultz on Aug. 16, 1969, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mayville.

She graduated from Mayville High School in 1968, and was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran church, North Fond du Lac.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Troy (fiancee Sarah Nelson) of Theresa, Tami Riebe and Traci Schultz, both of Fond du Lac; her mother, Dorothy Scheberl of Mayville; two brothers, James (Carol) Scheberl of West Bend and John (Marla) Scheberl of Fond du Lac; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Loree Schultz of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Rachelle, Ryan and Jory Riebe; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents; her father in 1996; and a daughter-in-law, Shelly.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac.

Rev. Tom Behnke will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Horicon.

Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorials to St. Paul School or Hospice Hope are appreciated.

Audrey W. Troller
Audrey W. Troller, nee Whitcomb, 85, of West Bend, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at the Samaritan Health Center.

She was born June 9, 1915, in Wisconsin, to the late Ralph and Harriet (Lessor) Whitcomb.

Survivors include two children, Terry Troller and Pam (Dennis Sr.) Czysz of West Bend; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. at the home of her daughter, 1220 Jefferson St., West Bend.

The Church and Chapel Funeral Service, Milwaukee-Waukesha, is assisting the family.

Philip H.A. Lamp
Philip H.A. Lamp, 79, of Fillmore, was born into eternal life on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Wauwatosa.

He was born in Horicon on July 1, 1921, to the late Philip H.A. and Margaret (nee Pfeifer) Lamp Sr.

At an early age he moved to Milwaukee with his family, and at the age of 10 moved with his family to the Fillmore area to farm.

Philip continued to be engaged in farming until the time of his death.

He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Newburg, active in the Fillmore Turner Society for many years and was also actively involved in many fund raising activities for various organizations.

Philip was a loving uncle to seven nieces, Darlene (Gary) Koch of West Bend, Joyce (James) Ksioszk of Fillmore, Joan (Alan) Bohn of West Bend, Marilyn Hefter of Fillmore, Karen Krueger of West Bend, Laureen (Brian) Bastian of Fillmore and Melinda (Derek) Berube of West Bend; 10 great- nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew; special friends, Dr. Kenneth and Linda Ciriacks of Santa Fe, N.M.; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his brother, Andrew A. Lamp; a sister-in-law, Elaine (nee Ciriacks) Lamp; and two infant nieces.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Newburg.

Rev. Matthew Holtz will officiate, and burial will follow in St. John's Church Cemetery.

Visitation at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Memorials to St. John's Church are appreciated by the family.
