Marcella A. Zajdel
A funeral mass was held on Tuesday, March 6 at Divine Word Catholic Church in Cedarburg for Marcella A. Zajdel (nee Tutaj) of Grafton, who died on March 3, 2001 at the age of 73. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Grafton.
Mrs. Zajdel was born on April 25, 1927 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (nee Kleba) Tutaj. She married George Zajdel on August 30, 1947 in Milwaukee. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton.
Survivors include: husband George of Grafton; children Thomas (Mary) of Caledonia, Doug of Allenton, Debra (Michael) Streets of Milwaukee, Cory (Paul) Martin of Saukville; grandchildren Dena, Kathryn, Michelle and Timothy; brother Richard (Ruth) Tataj of Milwaukee; sisters-in-law Eleanore Tutaj of Milwaukee and Pearl Tutaj of Milwaukee.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St. Joseph’s Building Fund or The American Diabetes Association.
Donald A. "Don" Horozewski
A funeral service was held yesterday at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton for Donald A. "Don" Horozewski of Grafton, who died on March 3, 2001, at the age of 63. Burial was held at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee, Mich.
Mr. Horozewski was born Feb. 9, 1938 in Manistee, Mich., son of Arthur and Blondine (nee Szymarek) Horozewski.
He retired from the Grafton School District as a maintenance worker and he participated in the Milwaukee Kickers Association.
Survivors include: sons Glenn (Sue) Horozewski of Cudahy, Brian Horozewski of Cudahy, Kevin Horozewski of Cudahy, Lance (Melissa) Horozewski of Frederic; daughter Denise Horozewski of Grafton; brother Phil (Kristie) Harless of Manistee, Mich.; nephew Craig Harless of Manistee, Mich.; grandchildren Brianna, Meagan, Amber, Stephanie, Luke and Nathan.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to The American Diabetes Assoc-iation would be appreciated.
Ruth Ann "Tootie" Heideman
Ruth Ann "Tootie" Heideman, nee Bloecher, of West Bend, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at her daughter's home at the age of 63.
She was born March 29, 1937, near Saukville to Edgar and Sylvia (nee Didier) Bloecher, and married Frederick Seideman on May 21, 1955.
He passed away on Jan. 28, 1965.
She then married Erwin Peterson on May 9, 1966, and he predeceased on Sept. 30, 1980. On April 17, 1981 she married Norman "Barney" Heideman. He died on Aug. 13, 1999.
Ruth Ann was employed as a training instructor at The Threshold for about 12 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Annette Wenzel of Wauwatosa and Evea (Ron) Kind of West Bend; two stepdaughters, Pam (Rich) Just and Sharon (Arnold) Slaasted; two grandsons, Scott and Jim Wenzel; two step-grandchildren; her mother, Sylvia Bloecher of West Bend; a brother, William Bloecher of West Bend; a son-in-law, Mark Wenzel of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death was her father, Edgar.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend.
Pastor James Ziesemer will officiate, and burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Newburg.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also at the church on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.
Memorials may be given to Horizon Home Care and Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
Larry A. Jackson
Larry A. Jackson, 57, of Jackson, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at St. Luke's Medical Center of Milwaukee.
He was born May 27, 1943, in Milwaukee, to Norman and Julia (nee Paschke) Jackson, and attended Rufus King High School.
After his marriage to Esther A. Marnholtz on Oct. 6, 1962, in Merrill, the couple lived in Merrill, Milwaukee and later settled in Jackson.
He was employed as a steamfitter for Local 601 of Milwaukee for over 35 years.
Larry was an avid hunter and loved to cook. He was a member of ABATE of Wisconsin and the Steamfitters Local 601 of Milwaukee.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Norman Jackson of Slinger and Tammy (Mark) Swessel of Milwaukee; his mother, Julie Bublitz of Milwaukee; three grandchildren, Penny Swessel of Milwaukee, Nikita Jackson of Slinger and Andrew Swessel of Milwaukee; a brother, Dale (Val) Jackson of Milwaukee; two sisters, Carol (Jack) Jensen of Milwaukee and Lynn (Jim) Heinrich of Brookfield; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Norman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend.
Rev. James Hill will officiate, and interment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home only will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Robert A. "Bob" Heinz
Robert A. "Bob" Heinz, 92, a resident of Wauwatosa and Big Cedar Lake, joined his beloved wife, Helene (nee Stimson) Heinz, on Friday, March 2, 2001.
He was the father of Richard (Penny) and Holly (Jack) Grochowski; loving grandfather of Robert (Heidi) Heinz, Becky (Andy) Storkson, MaryBeth and Tim Grochowski; proud great-grandfather of Derek and Taylor Storkson and Cory Wood.
He will be remembered and dearly missed by his cousin, Alex Luedike Jr. of Washington, other relatives, many friends and neighbors.
Bob was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was the advertising and marketing director of the Boston Store and later vice president of marketing for the Schuster Department Stores. When he retired he was a senior vice president of marketing for the Gimbel Midwest Department Stores.
Bob was past president of the Milwaukee Advertising Club, a member of the National Hall of Fame Retail Advertising Conference of Chicago, served on the boards and committees of St. Michael and St. Joseph's hospitals of Milwaukee and the Cedar Lake Campus.
He was a member of the Wauwatosa Retired Men's Club and a member of the board of Hansen Park Golf and Social Club.
Bob requested that funeral services be private, only for his family.
The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations made to the Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 347, West Bend, Wis. 53095, would help to ease their sense of deep loss.
The Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services, Wauwatosa, assisted the family.
Lance A. Penkoske
Lance A. Penkoske, 22, of West Bend, was born into eternal life on Wednesday, March 7, 2001, due to injuries suffered in an auto accident in Milwaukee County.
He was born June 19, 1978, in Fond du Lac, to Donald and jean (Christian) Penkoske, and graduated from West Bend East High School in 1998.
After school he was employed at Simplicity Manufacturing of Port Washington.
He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ of West Bend, and loved motorcycle riding and was an avid snowmobiler.
Survivors include his parents, Donald and Jean of West Bend; a sister, Jennifer Penkoske of West Bend; maternal grandparents, Walter and Dorothy Christian of Clintonville; paternal grandfather, George Penkoske of Mayville; his snowmobiling and motorcycle riding buddy, Dwane Kuehl of Fillmore; his faithful companion, Tia; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was his paternal grandmother, Ruth Penkoske.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, with interment in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, at 10 a.m. on Monday.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Janet R. Radank
Janet R. Radank, nee Dengel, 63, of West Bend, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at her residence.
She was born July 14, 1937, in Milwaukee, to the late George and Alice (nee Brueckner) Dengel, and married William H. Radank on Jan. 25, 1962, in Milwaukee.
Her husband passed away on Oct. 31, 1988.
Janet was a member of Emmaus Bible Church, West Bend.
Survivors include three children, William (Michelle) Large of Campbellsport, Jodi Culver of Pasadena, Texas and Peter Radank of Kewaskum; two stepsons, Steve (Kay-Lynn) Radank of Oshkosh and John (Rose) Radank of Germany; nine grandchildren, Derek, Ann Marie, Jenna, Jenny, Michael, Kim, Carol, Isaac and Bobby; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George (Sandy) Dengel of Sussex and Jim (Judy) Dengel of Arkansas; an aunt who was like her second mother, Edna Wiesner of West Bend; a former daughter-in-law, Suk Radank of Washington; her former husband, William Large of Pewaukee; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a stepson, Bill Radank, and a grandson, Justin Christiansen.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 11, at 4 p.m. at Emmaus Bible Church, West Bend.
Rev. James Taylor will officiate, and interment of the cremated remains will be in Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee.
Visitation at the church will be Sunday from 3 p.m. until the time of services, with a reception following the service.
