Joyce E. Meldahl
Joyce E. Meldahl, 73, of West Bend, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at the Cedar Lake Campuses.
She was born Jan. 28, 1928, to the late Herbert and Esther (Henning) Endlich, and married Waldemar J.J. Meldahl on July 20, 1946.
He passed away on Dec. 21, 1982.
She had been employed in clerical and office manager positions in the construction industry.
Survivors include two children, Herbert (Paula) of Rockford, Ill. and Ralph of Opelika, Ala.; a brother, James (Beverly) Endlich; two grandchildren, Erikka (Pete) Coletta and Adrienne; and other relatives and friends.
Joyce had been involved in the Glacier Hills Art Club, the West Bend Art Museum, the Washington County Historical Society and St. Joseph's Community Hospital Auxiliary.
A private family memorial service will take place at a later date with cremation at Parkview Cremations of Fond du Lac.
Lance A. Penkoske
A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 11, at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend for Lance A. Penkoske, 22, who died in a car accident on March 7, 2001. Interment took place at Washington County Memorial Park. The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Penkoske was born June 19, 1978 in Fond du Lac, son of Donald and Jean (nee Christian) Penkoske. He graduated from West Bend East. After high school he went to work at Simplicity Manufacturing of Port Washington. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ of West Bend.
Survivors include: parents Donald and Jean Penkoske of West Bend; sister Jennifer Penkoske of West Bend; grandparents Walter and Dorothy Christian of Clintonville, George Penkoske of Mayville; close friend Dwane Kuehl of Filmore; faithful companion "Tia."
Further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Ruth Penkoske.
Anna T. Kuechler
Anna T. Kuechler, nee Endlich, 81, of West Bend, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Germantown, to the late Edward and Lizzie (nee Patzen) Endlich, and married Norman Kuechler on Dec. 30, 1939.
Together they made their home in the Jackson area until moving to West Bend in 1956.
Anna enjoyed knitting, her garden and flowers, and her family.
Survivors include four children, Donald (Valerie) Kuechler of West Bend, Roger (Ida) Kuechler of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Sharon (Donald) Krell and Dennis (Janet) Kuechler, both of Kewaskum; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma (Earl) Stenzel of Watertown; a sister-in-law, Bernice Yogerst of Lake Havasau City, Ariz.; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a sister Adelia Bauer, and a brother, Edward.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend.
Rev. Victor Hackbarth will officiate, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from noon until the time of services.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association are appreciated by the family.
Elmer W. Wolfgram
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, for Elmer W. Wolfgram, 74, who died March 16, 2001 at his Cedarburg home.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon, followed by interment at Immanuel Cemetery.
Mr. Wolfgram was born in Cedarburg on Dec. 3, 1926, son of the late Henry and Adela (nee Brandt) Wolfgram. He married Lucille (nee Koepsell) on Oct. 3, 1959 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Survivors include his wife Lucille of Cedarburg; sisters Helen Wolfgram of Cedarburg and Elnora (Melvin) Veloon of Hartford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers Emil and Raymond Wolfgram.
Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, would be appreciated.
Dorothy E. Scherer
A funeral Mass was held March 12 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg for Dorothy E. Scherer, 74, of Grafton, who died March 9, 2001 at her home. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Scherer was born July 2, 1926 in Chicago, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (nee Townsend) Rubino. She married George J. Scherer on Nov. 9, 1946, and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Scherer is a former Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include children Dorothy A. Scherer, Rosemary (George) Jacque, Betty (Eric) Fredrickson, Maryann (Glenn) Koopmann, George G. (Susan) Scherer, Joanne Scherer, Helen (Randy) Hubacek and Charlotte Becker; grandchildren George (fiancee Fon) Jacque, Ryan (Rebecca), Jamie, Jason, Rebecca and Elizabeth Fredrickson, Glenn Koopmann, Angie (Steve) Eisen, Tammy, George, Sean, Timothy and Katie Scherer, Hailey Hubacek, Shelly (David) Hofmaier, Sherry (David) Tennis, Paul (Jenny) Becker and Jimmy (Susan) Becker; great-grandchildren Breanne Eisen, Eric and Sarah Hofmaier, Jack Tennis and Alyssa Becker; sister-in-law Tona Mary Scherer; other relatives and friends.
Joyce Reithmeyer
A private family service was held for Joyce Reithmeyer of Mequon, who died on March 13, 2001 at the age of 71. Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mequon assisted the family with arrangements.
Ms. Reithmeyer was born in Munising, Mich. and worked as a machine operator for Western Envelope Co.
Survivors include: daughters Jinny (Joe) Russel of Mequon, Carol (Ed) Strelczyk of Glenbeulah; son Dan (Debbie) June of Menomonee Falls; grandchildren Joey, Erin, Andrea, Eric, Shannon, Kyle and Sarah.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Phillip J. Ketter
Phillip J. Ketter, 57, of Campbellsport, died Friday, March 16, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 23, 1943, in Campbellsport, to Leo J. and Gertrude (Meyer) Ketter, and married Barbara Guell on Sept.10, 1966, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Armstrong.
He was a 1961 graduate of Campbellsport High School, a 1965 graduate of St. Norbert College with a BS degree in business and a 1967 graduate of Indiana
University with an MBA degree in marketing.
Phil was director of marketing at Regal Ware Inc., Kewaskum.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from February 1967 to September 1968.
Phil served as a Campbellsport Village trustee and then as village president for 16 years.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Campbellsport, the Campbellsport Golf League for over 30 years (winning the most valuable golfer award in 1995) and the Campbellsport Lions Club for over 30 years, serving as president and on the board of directors.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Rachelle (Dean) Gassner of Campbellsport, Troy (special friend Kristine Olofson) of Oshkosh and Lisa, at home; three grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler and Megan Gassner; his father, Leo J. of Campbellsport; two brothers, Daniel (Julie) of Campbellsport and Mark (Tani) of Adell; a sister, Joanne (Dave) Block of Shakopee, Minn.; his mother-in-law, Margaret Guell of Campbellsport; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Gene Heltemes of Eden, Bev and Tom Dickmann, Brenda and John Klotz, Bill and Jo Ann Guell and Bob and Elaine Guell, all of Campbellsport; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Gertrude, and his father-in-law, Allen Guell.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, march 20, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic church, Campbellsport, following a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport.
Rev. Francis Malloy and Rev. Kevin Wester will officiate, and entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated to St. Agnes Hospital Hospice Hope or the SE Wisconsin Chapter of ALS.
Loraine E. Buntrock
Loraine E. Buntrock, 95, of Brookfield, died Thursday, March 15, 2001.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ellsworth.
She is the beloved mother of the late Jack (Margie) and Neal (Sandra); loving grandmother of Bonnie (Todd) Olson, Lori (Dean) Spaeth, Jeff (Debbie), Donna (Mike) Heisdorf, Heidi (Keith) Swartz, Holly (Steve) Rickun, Hope (Dan) Levenhagen, and Heather.
She is further survived by great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 19, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 117th and W. Cleveland Ave. with interment in Lincoln Memorial Park.
Memorials to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are appreciated.
