Sr. Dorissa Hadle
Sr. Dorissa Hadle, 90, of Campbellsport since 1990, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2001.

Edna Mae was born May 22, 1910, in Chicago, to the late Harry William Crampton and Anna Dobes-Crampton-Hadle.

At 10 years of age, she felt her calling. However, it was not until Jan. 28, 1928, that she first journeyed alone from her youthful parish of Our Lady of Victory in Chicago to Milwaukee.

The community of the School Sisters of St. Francis received her on June 11, 1931.

After her education in Milwaukee and her role of aspirant mistress, her teaching service took her to several elementary schools throughout the United States in varying roles of teacher, principal, superior, beginning in 1931 at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Aurora, Ill.; St. Catherine in Milwaukee; New York State; Arizona; Lombard, Ill.; St. Mary in Buffalo Grove, Ill.; St. Maurice, Chicago; and St. Williams in Chicago.

Her favored teaching years were while in Wisconsin at Luxembourg, Slinger and Chilton.

Throughout her life, she traveled the world, cared for others, corresponded at length, and was a pioneering genealogist and family historian.

Survivors include a brother, John (Mary) Hadle, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, members of her religious community and many good, lifelong friends.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Charles (Anna) Crampton-Hadle and Raymond (Lucille) Crampton.

The family is both sad for its loss, but also glad for her as she passes to Heaven where her faith can now be realized.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 1, at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph's Convent, Campbellsport.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday with burial to follow in the sisters' cemetery in Campbellsport.

Jacob Reichert Jr.

Funeral services were held Sunday for Jacob Reichert Jr., 76, of Cedarburg, who died March 29, 2001 at Cedar Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Services were led by Rev. Travis Graf, with burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Arrangements were handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.

Mr. Reichert was born in Trempleau, Wis. on April 28, 1924, son of the late Jacob Reichert Sr. and the Sophie Reichel.

He married Esley Shultis on Oct. 24, 1979 in Milwaukee.

Survivors include his wife Esley Reichert of Cedarburg; brother John Reichert of Cedarburg; sisters Maria Pacey and Elizabeth Huber, both of Cedarburg; nephew Jack (Barbara) Reichert of Cedarburg; sister-in-law Eloise Aldridge of Cedarburg; other relatives and friends.

Gordon M. Clark

A funeral service was held on last week in Tampa, Fla. for former Cedarburg resident and alderman Gordon M. Clark, 79, who died on March 22, 2001. Rev. Robert Schaefer and Rev. Jennifer Schaefer officiated at the ceremony. Interment was held at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park Blount. Curry Roel Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Clark was born in Milwaukee and moved to Tampa in 1968. He retired as Southeastern Regional Manager for Crown Zellerbach Corporation, Gaylord Division. He served on the board of the Executive Service Corp of Tampa and the Committee of 100 and was a member of Good Shepherd Church. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a former member of Advent Lutheran Church and president of the church council. He was a member of alderman of Cedarburg.

Survivors include: wife Hazel of Tampa, Fla.; daughters Mary Jane (Joseph) Stagi of Tampa, Fla., Stephany Austell of Greenville, S.C., Beverly (Harold) Pittman of Baton Rouge, La.; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Karl and Nancy Backus of Milwaukee, Mary Clark of Milwaukee; grandchildren John Pittman of La., Lee Anne Pittman Knight of La., Matthew and Brian Austell of S.C.; great-grandchildren Morgan and Erin Pittman and Cody Knight of La.

Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marie Chesniak

Private services will be held for Marie Chesniak, 65, who died March 27, 2001 at her Cedarburg home.
Born on Nov. 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John K. and Martha (nee Hart) Elliott.

Survivors include son Raymond (Tracey) Chesniak of Cedarburg; grandchildren Chris, Scott, Jennifer, Michelle and Rachael; her cat Jynx; other relatives and friends.

Jennifer M. Champeau

A funeral service was held last Friday at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington for Jennifer M. Champeau of Saukville, who died on March 26, 2001, at the age of 26.
Rev. Larry Warren of Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton officiated at the ceremony, with arrangements handled by Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington. Burial was held at Arlington Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Ms. Champeau was born Nov. 6, 1974 in Milwaukee, daughter of Dan and Carol (nee McKibbon) Champeau.

She was a self-employed massage therapist for Healthy Touch in Saukville for six years and a member of the Saukville Jaycees.

Survivors include: parents Dan and Carol Champeau of Saukville; grandmother Joyce Champeau of Houston, Texas; brothers James (Tamara) Champeau of Saukville, Steven Champeau of Saukville; nieces Cassandra, Jessica and Samantha Jo; nephews James Jr. and Timothy; uncle John Champeau of Houston, Texas; aunts Rozanne (Frank) Smith of Houston, Texas, Linda (Bernie) Jessen (godparents) of Fredonia; cousins David, Lindsey and Brady.

Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Norma H. Stange

Norma H. Stange, 95, formerly of the Silver Creek area, passed away on Saturday, march 31, 2001, at Beechwood Rest Home, Beechwood.
She was born Oct. 28, 1905, in the town of Sherman, to the late Herman and Selma (Merkel) Baer, and on June 6, 1931, married Lawrence Stange at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Silver Creek.

He passed away on June 17, 1994.

Mrs. Stange was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Silver Creek and the Ladies Aid.

Survivors include two children, Leon (Jane) Stange and Lorna (Robert) Marquardt, both of Random Lake; a brother, Harvey Baer of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Lloyd (Renee) Marquardt, Roy (Dorothy) Marquardt, Glen (LeAnn) Marquardt, Alan (Gloria) Stange, Dale (Peg) Stange and Dean (Michelle) Stange; a granddaughter-in-law, Jill (Mike) Schulze; six great-grandchildren, Amy and Kay Marquardt, Joseph and Jessica Stange, Andrew Stange and Ethan Stange.

Preceding her in death were an infant sister, Olive, and a grandson, Mark Stange.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, at 2 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum.

Rev. William Wiederanders will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Silver Creek.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the time of services.

Marion G. Bettenhausen

Marion G. Bettenhausen, nee Schneider, 73, of West Bend, entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 1, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
She was born Feb. 16, 1928, in Milwaukee, to the late George and Mary (Henning) Schneider.

After her marriage to Glenn J. Bettenhausen on Oct. 11, 1952, at Garden Homes Lutheran Church of Milwaukee, the couple lived in Illinois for over 43 years, moving to West Bend Oct. 31, 1993.

She was very active as a church secretary and Sunday School teacher for over 17 years, as well as strongly involved with The Ladies Society, the Altar Guild and Pilgrim Pioneers Senior Group.

Survivors include her loving husband; a brother, Herbert (Ethel) Schneider of Danville, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Schneider of Mequon; and on Glenn's side, a sister-in-law, Eunice (Henry) Kroll of Bradley, Ill.; two brothers-in-law, Rodger (Pat) Bettenhausen of Manhattan, Ill. and Don Bettenhausen of Phoenix, Ariz.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Lorraine Rumler and Evelyn Hammel; a brother, Walter; and a nephew, James.

Marion was a past member of Garden Homes Lutheran Church of Milwaukee, Trinity Lutheran Church of Harvey, Ill., Immanuel Lutheran Church of Richton Park, Ill. and currently was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church of West Bend.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, West Bend.

Rev. Joseph M. Fisher will officiate, and entombment will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.

Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Memorials are appreciated to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, West Bend.

The Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family.

Kathleen A. Weeks

Kathleen A. Weeks, 93, of West Bend, formerly of Shorewood, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2001, at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born Jan. 8, 1908, in Leaton, Mich., and on Aug. 15, 1935, married Raymond W. Weeks in St. Louis, Mich., her devoted partner for 52 years.

Together they resided in Shorewood until his death in 1987. In 1991 Kate became a resident of Touchstone Care Facility in West Bend, and for the last couple of days was at the Samaritan Health Center.

She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Greg) Schauer of Butternut; two grandchildren, Matt Schauer of Jackson and Megan Schauer of Butternut; a sister-in-law, Violet Weeks of Holland, Mich.; a special nephew, Kirk (Trudy) Eaton of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was her loving son, William Weeks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 3, at 5 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.

Rev. Richard Cerpich of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Random Lake will be the presider, and private entombment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.

Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass.

Memorials to the American Heart Association or the Washington County Humane Society are appreciated.

The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family.
