Jeanette T. Fisher
Jeanette T. Fisher, 77, of West Bend, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Mapledale Manor Nursing Home of Kewaskum.

She was born Aug. 23, 1923, in the town of Rushford, to the late Clarence and Carrie (Stephani) Fisher.

She graduated in 1941 from Omro High School and went onto Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Oshkosh, graduating in 1945.

Jeanette worked as an industrial nurse at Universal Foundry in Oshkosh, Briggs and Stratton of Milwaukee, and Pfister and Vogel Tannery, also of Milwaukee.

She was the head nurse in the newborn nursery at Misericordia Hospital of Milwaukee and St. Joseph's Community Hospital of West Bend.

Jeanette was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church of West Bend.

Survivors include a sister, Ethelyne Carney of Shorewood; a brother, Stanley (Betty) of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Delores Fisher of Omro; a sister in spirit, Gertrude Buczek of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a brother, Roy; a sister, Vivian Ceman; and a brother-in-law, John Carney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church, West Bend.

Father Patrick Wendt will officiate, and interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation at the church only will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Friends of Abused Families or to St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church, West Bend.

The Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family.

On behalf of Jeanette and her family, we would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Mapledale Manor, hospice, Dr. Listwan, St. Mary's Parish, neighbors and friends for their prayers and support during this difficult time.

Verlon T. Bryant
Verlon T. Bryant, 68

Verlon T. Bryant, 68, of Kewaskum, died Thursday, April 12, 2001 from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born June 7, 1932, in Center Ridge Ark. to the late Orville and Judy (Bradley) Bryant, and was united in marriage to Diane Girardot on Feb. 22, 1975 in Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Diane, of Kewaskum; three sons, Robert (Cindy) Gonia, Jr. of Prairie du Sac, Phillip (Dennie) Gonia of California City, Calif., and Mark (Sheryl) Gonia of Kewaskum; three daughters, Patricia A. Comardo of Houston, Tex., Loretta Wingate of Tampa, and Veronia (Juan) Ramiez of Fort Lauderdale; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum with Rev. Eric Kirkegaard officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until the time of services.

Mildred E. Schoenhaar, 94
Mildred E. Schoenhaar (nee Waldeck), 94, of West Bend, died Thursday, April 12, 2001 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital.

She was born Jan. 7, 1907 in Germany. On June 16, 1928 she married Ralph "Shorts" Schoenhaar at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend.

He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1980.

She is survived by relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16 at noon at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend. Pastor Terry Berg will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial park.

Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Dorothy L. Scott

Funeral services were held Saturday at Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Dorothy L. Scott of Thiensville, who died on April 11, 2001 at the age of 75. Interment was at Zur Ruhe Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were handled by Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg.
Mrs. Scott was born in Flint, Mich. on Nov. 2, 1926 to the late Hy and Lillian (nee Talbot) McKenney, she married the late Gordon Scott on Oct. 6, 1945 in Menominee, Mich.

Survivors include: children Julienne (Dan) Taylor of Fredonia and David (Sharon) Scott of West Springfield, Mass.; grandchildren Tomara Hollrith of Port Washington, Cindy Kinzel of Port Washington, Scott Pipkorn of Cedarburg, Denise Scott of Sheboygan, Allyson, Adrienne and Erin Parrish of West Spring, Mass. and Mike Taylor of Random Lake.

She is further survived by six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, five sisters, two brothers, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by three brothers.

Memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.

Wilbur M. Hatzung

Wilbur M. Hatzung, 80, of Pal Bay, Fla., passed away on Monday, April 9,2001, at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, Fla.
He was born in Hartford and moved to Florida in 1997 from Juneau.

He is a former teacher and principal of several Wisconsin Synod Lutheran Schools in the Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois areas, including Rhinelander, Milwaukee and Kenosha.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary (Dale) Raether of Palm Bay; two sons, Mark (Cheryl) Hatzung of Monroe, Mich. and Michael (Debra) Hatzung, North St. Paul, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Elmira Braun of West Bend and Lorraine Rudolph of Fort Meyers, Fla.; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Slinger, with interment in Union Cemetery, Slinger.

Visitation at the church will be one hour prior to services.

The Schramka-Matenaer Funeral Home, Hartford, is serving the family.

Ruth S. Resch

Ruth S. Resch, nee Zuehlke, 78, of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
She was born Jan. 5, 1923, in Milwaukee, to the late John and Olga (Zielke) Zuehlke, and graduated from North Division High School in 1941.

After her marriage to Paul Resch on July 24, 1948, in Milwaukee, the couple lived in Milwaukee.

She was employed at International Harvester and First Wisconsin, downtown location.

Ruth loved crocheting, ceramics, sewing, card playing and cooking. She was strong willed and a cancer survivor.

Her husband passed away Aug. 4, 2000.

She was the beloved mother of John (Ellen) of West Bend, Deborah Resch of Milwaukee and Lisa (Mike) Stelmaszewski of Louisiana; the cherished grandmother of Roxanne, Wendy and Jon Resch, Marlene (David) Roberts, James and April Teska, and Ashley Stelmaszewski; the loving great-grandmother of Olivia and Macy Roberts; and the dearest sister of Gilbert Zuehlke of Hayward, June Rose (Bob) Jankowski of Rubicon and Grace Sager of Big Bend.

She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a son, Thomas in 1992; two sisters, Gertrude and Mabel; and four brothers, Arthur, James, Robert and Donald.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend.

Rev. James Hill will officiate, and cremation will take place at Parkview Crematory in Fond du Lac, with interment of ashes in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of services.

Memorials to the Red Cross, Washington County Chapter, are appreciated.

Michael P. Kirsch
Michael P. Kirsch, 44, of Milwaukee, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 5, 1956, in Milwaukee, to Paul and Audrey (nee Beaudoin) Kirsch.

Michael was self-employed as the owner and operator of AAA Properties, Triple A Properties, and A.M.G., LLC in Milwaukee.

He loved dancing and was a dance instructor at the Jewish Community Center in Milwaukee. He also enjoyed playing poker, paintball, hunting and watching movies.

Michael was a member of the Wisconsin Realtor's Association and the Mayor's Club of Milwaukee.

Survivors include a son, Scott Kirsch of Milwaukee; his parents, Paul and Audrey Kirsch of Brookfield; his maternal grandmother, Lillian Beaudoin of West Allis; his fiancee, Helen Wolf of West Bend; Helen's children, Matthew (Tracy) Liepert of Chicago and Andrea (Jeff) Simon of Shorewood; Helen's grandson, Samuel Liepert; two sisters, Debbie Braby of Illinois and Diane Jobke of Hartland; four brothers, Paul (Laurie) Kirsch of Richfield, Kevin Kirsch of Brookfield, Brian (Leann) Kirsch of Tulsa, Okla. and John Kirsch of Brookfield; his former wife, Bonnie Aldrich of La Crosse; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death was a nephew, Arty Sanger.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend.

Rev. Gerald Brittain of Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend, will officiate.

The family will greet relatives and friends during a reception following the service.

Memorials to the University of Wisconsin Children's Hospital in Madison are appreciated.
