Kermit W. Miller
Kermit W. Miller, 90, of Slinger died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Cedar Bay Assisted Living of West Bend.
He was born Sept. 24, 1910, in Slinger, to the late John and Mary (Marquardt) Miller, graduated from Slinger High School in 1927 and later attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On April 4, 1959, he married Ruby M. Endres-Mayer at St. John's UCC, Hartford.
Kermit became a master plumber in the Slinger area and was a co-owner of Horst and Miller Plumbing of Slinger for more than 25 years, retiring in 1970.
Survivors include his beloved wife; two stepdaughters, Beverly (Richard) Meeker of Pahrump, Nev. and Shirley (Fran) Hofmaier of Slinger; eight grandchildren, Mary (Mike) Boden, Jim Hofmaier, Amy (Brad) Keil, Ed (Karen) Kumferman, Kevin (Barbara) Kumferman, Kim (Craig) Shelley, Darrel (Janet) Meeker and David Meeker; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law on Ruby's side, Pearl Despard and Margaret Endres; a niece, Sharon (Robert) Donath of Slinger; a great-niece, Debra (Michael) Ansay; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two brothers and a sister-in-law, Roland (Bernice) and Howard, and an infant sister, Florence.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slinger, and a 50-year member of F&AM Masonic Lodge 120 of Hartford; Scottish Rite of Wisconsin; Valley of Milwaukee.
The family would like to express their thanks for the six years of care and compassion given Kermit by the Cedar Bay staff.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend. (A Masonic service will be conducted prior to the memorial service.)
Rev. John Tschudy will officiate, and intement of ashes will take place in Union Cemetery, Slinger.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 p.m until the time of services.
Memorials are appreciated to St. John's UCC of Slinger or to the Cedar Lake Campuses.
James R. Mueller
James R. Mueller, 51, of Iron Ridge died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at his home.
He was born April 23, 1950, in Milwaukee, to Matthew and Lorraine (Nuburg) Mueller, and married Debra Gregovich on April 4, 1987, at St. John's Church, Jackson.
He graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 1969 and was employed by Steel Craft, Hartford, in the maintenance department.
James was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Jamie (Mike) Hamlin and Gregory (Lisa) Mueller, both of Jackson; his mother, Lorraine A. Mueller of Germantown; a brother, Ronald (Jackie) Mueller of Allenton; three sisters, Diane (Dennis) Zimmer of Minocqua, Janice (Gilly) Gillingham of Richland Center and Rosann (Alan) Volk of Menomonee Falls; his parents-in-law, Shirley and Tony Gregovich of Menomonee Falls; five grandchildren, Tyler and Abby Hamlin, and Katelyn, Jessica and Megan Mueller; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father; a brother, Anthony in infancy; a sister-in-law, Nancy; and a brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jackson.
Rev. Quintin Schowalter will officiate, and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Jackson.
Visitation at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m., and also at the church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

Frances J. Gremminger
Frances J. Gremminger, 91, of Campbellsport died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
She was born Nov. 7, 1909, in Dotyville, to the late John N. and Elizabeth (Benedict) Fox, and on Sept. 10, 1930, married Paul K. Gremminger at St. Michael's Church, Dotyville.
She farmed and lived in the town of Auburn until 1982.
Frances was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Campbellsport, the Christian Mothers, the Mission Sewing Circle doing quilting and crocheting and was a member of the Campbellsport Senior Citizens where she enjoyed playing skat.
Survivors include her children, David of Campbellsport, Robert (Bonnie) of West Bend, Sr. Elaine Gremminger SSSF and Ruth Gremminger, both of Milwaukee, Carol (Earnest) Jones of West Bend, Roger (special friend Kasem Nithipatikom) of Menomonee Falls and Sue (Jim) Hohl of Brookfield; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Genevieve Janaites, Viola Bohlman, Bernice Evenson and Mary (David) Wagner, all of Fond du Lac; two brothers, Jerome (Dorothy) Fox and Elmer (Ruth) Fox, both of Fond du Lac; five sisters-law, Roseanne, Catherine, Laura, Ellen and Ernestine; a brother-in-law, Warren Hess nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband on Nov. 4, 1978; two sons, Donald in 1946 and Eugene "Bud" in 1981; six brothers, William, Sylvester, Lawrence, Gilbert, Benedict and John; and a sister, Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 27, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, following a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
A memorial will be established.
Cloris A. Sager
Cloris A. Sager, nee Czamanske, 91, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.
She was born Jan. 27, 1910, in Randolph, to the late Edward and Amelia (nee Reul) Czamanske, and moved to Wausau with her family in 1921 where she attended Zion Lutheran School and Wausau High School.
She attended Oshkosh State Teacher's College and taught in Horicon and two years in Wausau. She also attended the University of Chicago.
Cloris married Fred A. Sager on June 2, 1935, and they were both active members of St. John's Lutheran Church of West Bend.
Her husband passed away on Feb. 4, 1984.
Survivors include three children, Donald, who is continuing the business his father started, Sager's Men's Apparel, and his wife, Maradel; Steven and his wife, Mary of Fond du Lac and Marjorie Klug and her husband, Glen; nine grandchildren, Scott (Karen) Sager, Susan (Todd) Zeeb, Sara Sager, Kathy (Dan) Hoffman, Dr. Matt Sager, Paul Sager, David Sager, Steven (Pattie) Klug, Angela Klug; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Renatta Erdman and Beulah Jung; her brother, professor Palmer Czamanske; and a great-granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Zeeb.
She was a member of St. John's Ladies Guild and chairman of the St. John's Cookbook Committee.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 27, at 1 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church of West Bend.
Rev. George Mumm will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.
Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Memorials to St. John's Lutheran School or Church are appreciated.

Angela Lynn Norton
Angela Lynn Norton, 9, was unexpectedly called from her earthly home to her eternal home on Friday, June 22, 2001.
She was born on May 17, 1992, in West Bend, to Michael and Elaine (nee Dorzok) Norton, and had recently completed third grade at Decorah Elementary School.
A good Sunday School student, Angela loved helping to care for the younger children in Sunday School, and also loved drawing, coloring and sports.
Survivors include her parents, Michael and Elaine of the town of Trenton; an older brother, Ryan, and an older sister, Rachelle "Shelly," both at home; maternal grandparents, Willy and Louise Dorzok of West Bend; paternal grandfather, Daniel Norton of Fond du Lac; aunts; uncles; cousins; classmates; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, West Bend.
Rev. James Eckblad and Rev. Sharon Stier will co-officiate, and interment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the church will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also on Tuesday from 9 to 10:15 a.m.
Memorials may be given to Immanuel UCC Sunday School Program.

Alfons N. Wolf
Alfons N. Wolf, 76, of West Bend died Friday, June 22, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1925, in Neosho, to the late Alex and Elizabeth (nee Lackas) Wolf.
After his marriage to Hattie Ehlert at St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Hartford, the couple settled on the Wolf family homestead farm which they farmed for nine years. They then moved to Mayville where Al learned the electrical trade.
In 1974 the family came to West Bend where he was an electrician until retiring and moving to Florida for 15 years before returning to West Bend.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Barbara Theisen of West Bend, David of St. Petersburg, Fla., Dennis (Karen) of AuTrain, Mich. and Cary (Kelly) Reeves of Marion, N.C.; a family member, Nancy (Roman) Faber of West Bend; eight grandchildren, StacieLee Theisen, Bethann M. Theisen, Melissa S. Wolf, Kyle A. Wolf, Bryan M. Wolf, Danielle L. Wolf, Jarred A. Reeves and Justin L. Reeves; two sisters, Mary Boehlen of Menomonee Falls and Agnes Licht of Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Rose Wolf of Hartford; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a son, Daniel, on Aug. 2, 1980, and two brothers, Jerome and Melvin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church, West Bend, with Fr. Patrick Wendt presiding. burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Wednesday from 9 to 10:15 a.m.
