Eleanor B. Hug
Eleanor B. Hug (nee Smith) was called to eternal rest on Aug. 9, 2001.

She was born Feb. 21, 1915 to Joseph and Martha Smith. On April 13, 1936, she married Ellis Hug.

He passed on July 13, 1973. She worked for Larosa and Sons for more than 20 years.

She is survived by her beloved Robert (Terri); four grandchildren, Mary Jean (Gary) Phelps, Robert E. Hugh Jr., Bonnie Jean, and Kelli Jean; two step-grandchildren, Joshua Harter and Jodi Harter; and five great-grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed. No services will be held due to her wishes.

She would like to be remembered as you knew her.

Alice M. Haskins
Alice M. Haskins, nee Behrens, formerly Graack, of Slinger passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at the age of 93. She was born Feb. 7, 1908, in Milwaukee, one of 13 children the daughter of Julius and Anna Marie (nee Riebe) Behrens.

She married Walter A. Graack on June 11, 1927, in Milwaukee. She married Allen S. Haskins on June 14, 1936, and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1990.

She is the dearest mother of Audrey L. Robert L.) Brandt of Summit Lake; loving grandmother of Kenneth (Janice) Brandt of Sheboygan, Russell (Linda) Brandy of Slinger, Allen (Karol) Brandt of Brookfield, Robert M. (Pamela) Brandt of Slinger and Julie (Michael) Szemborski of Racine; dear sister of Norma Roberts of Milwaukee; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hartford. Rev. Frank Bauman will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the church from 5-7 p.m. There will be a private interment.

Alice was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hartford and Hartford Senior Friends where she was the greeter. She lived a very active and interesting life, enjoying family and friends and traveling.

The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home is serving the family.

Memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church of the Hartford Senior Friends would be appreciated.

Richard R. Bonenfant
Richard R. Bonenfant, 67, of West Allis died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at his residence.

He was born to Homer (Anna Joki) Bonenfant on Dec. 5, 1933, in Milwaukee. He married Pamela A. Mueller on Dec. 5, 1953 in Milwaukee.

He was raised in Milwaukee. After marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee, moving to the New Fane area in the early 1960s. He was employed as a tool and die maker for various companies in the West Bend area.

He is survived by seven children, Robert (Gail) of west Bend, Laurie (Dean) Schmidt of Kewaskum, Mary (James) Flitter of West Bend, Richard of Fond du Lac, James (Justine) of West Bend, Thomas of West Bend and William of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian (Pete) Panagos of Glendale, Ariz. and Eleanor (Robert) Sluka of Texas; two brothers, Russell (June) of Glendale, Ariz. and Arthur (rita) of Glendale, Ariz.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services were held Monday at 1 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Chapel of west Bend.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.

Irma M. Bodden
Irma M. Bodden, 90, a resident of Mapledale in Kewaskum, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, West Bend.

She was born on Oct. 18, 1910, in Theresa, the daughter of John and Amilia Czoschke Bintzler. On March 29, 1934, she married Joseph Bodden at Holy Hill. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1982.

Irma was a members of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport, and the Campbellsport Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three sons, Paul (Bernadine) of Kewaskum, Ray (Geri) of Kewaskum and Rev. Charles J. Bodden, O.S.A. of Peru, South America; two daughters, Evelyn (Lloyd) Martin of Kohlsville and Mary (Wynand) Paulus of West Bend; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie and Lucy; and five brothers, Ervin, Herb, George, Dewey and Frank.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Rev. Charles Bodden and Rev. Zinthefer will officiate. Burial will be on Friday at St. Matthew’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the church.

Memorials are appreciated to the Missions in Peru. The Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport, is serving the family.

Elmer L. Behrens
Elmer L. Behrens, 89, Morrison, Ill., died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at his home.

He was born on July 28, 1912, in Round Grove, Ill., to Bernhard and Mattie M. (Janssen) Behrens.

He is survived by his wife, Esther; five sons, including James (Diane) Behrens of West Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Morrison, Ill., preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service at the church. Rev. Duane Fluechting of Messiah Lutheran Church in Sterling will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison.

Jerome (Jerry) Welzien

Memorial services were held Saturday, Aug. 11 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Athens for Jerome (Jerry) Welzien, formerly of Grafton, who died on Aug. 7, 2001 at the age of 81.
Mr. Welzien was born in Kewaskum, on Sept. 24, 1919 to the late Rose (nee Wick) and the late Joseph Welzien. He moved to Grafton in 1928, joining the volunteer fire department in 1935.

He entered the Army in April 1941 and served with the 32nd division military police stationed in England. He also served in Patton’s Army in France, taking part in the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He returned home in October 1945 and was in the Army Reserve until 1953.

He was a member of the Rose-Harms Legion Post 355 in Grafton and later Legion Post #4 in Athens.

While living in Grafton he worked at Jungers Stove and Range for 10 years. He was also employed at American Can Company, Milwaukee, from 1952 until retiring to the Athens area in 1979. He belonged to the Senior Nutrition Program in Medford where he made many friends.

Survivors include daughters Carolyn Nimmons of Grafton and Margaret (Robert) Wolff of Wausau; son Thomas of Brookfield; granddaughter Abbe of Seattle; sisters Imelda (Rubin) Dorau of Athens, and Delores (Ray) Link of Star Lake.

Also survived by special friend and cousin LeRoy Piel, Waukesha, and special loved-one, Josephine Voss, Athens, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Two brothers, Gerald and Gordon, preceded him in death.

Memorials to Macular Degeneration research appreciated.

Frank J. Schnur

A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton for Frank J. Schnur, who died on Aug. 11, 2001 at his residence at the age of 41. Visitation was at the church on Tuesday with burial on Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton.
Mueller Funeral Home of Grafton assisted the family.

Mr. Schnur was born on Feb. 5, 1960 in Port Washington, the son of Regina (nee Mayer) and the late Dewayne Schnur. He worked as a supervisor for the Est. Co. for 19 years and also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his daughter Brittney Schnur; mother Regina Schnur; sisters Margaret (Larry) Scott, and Cathy (Jerry) Plyer; brother DeWayne Schnur; nieces and nephews Tiffany Scott, Derrick Gelander, Jesse Frank and Jenna Plyer.

He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.

Ryan James Anthony "Bub" Neulreich

Ryan James Anthony "Bub" Neulreich died tragically in a car accident on Aug. 10, 2001, at the age of 19.

Funeral services will be held today at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. Visitation will take place from 3-7 p.m. at the church. The entombment will take place the following morning at Arlington Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
Mueller Funeral Home of Grafton is assisting the family.

He was born on April 26, 1982, in Milwaukee, the son of James Neulreich and Sandra Sigmund. He attended Brown Deer High School for one year, and then went to Grafton High School for the remaining three years. He was a member of the Grafton High School Marching Band as well as a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed hanging out with his friends at Lime Kiln Park and loved his 1992 Black Camaro.

He is survived by his parents James (Marty) Neulreich of Grafton, Sandra (formerly Schmidtke) Sigmund of Mequon; siblings Lesley Ann Neulreich of Grafton, Shellane K. Neulreich of Tracy, Calif., Robert H. A. (Carrie) Neulreich of San Diego and Jonathan A. Neulreich of Grafton; stepbrother Jake Vnuk of Whitewater; stepsister Katie Vnuk of Grafton; grandparents Irene Neulreich of Milwaukee, Donald and Donna Sigmund of Brown Deer; nephew Jorden Neulreich; Godparents James Pollex and Patti Bocian; uncles Peter O’Connell and Michael (Amanda) Sigmund; aunts Penny Neulreich-O’Connell and Sherry Neulreich; special friends Jeff, Big "D," Candi, Justin, Sydney, Ryan and Maranda.

He is further survived by other relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Henry A. Neulreich.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ryan James Anthony Neulreich Foundation c/o Grafton State Bank appreciated.
