Lucille J. Bauer
Lucille J. Bauer, 91, of Beechwood, formerly of Kewaskum and West Bend, died on Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at Valley View Medical Center, Plymouth.

She was born on April 28, 1910, in the town of Addison to the late Joseph and Catherine (nee Gass) Bauer, and at early age the family moved to Dodge County.

Lucille was employed as a housekeeper for various families in the West Bend and Chicago areas.

Survivors include a brother, Sylvester of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Gloria Bauer of Seattle, Wash.; two nieces; a nephew; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Sylvia Pfeil and Vinelda Schmidt, and a brother, Winfred.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church.

Fr. Gerald Brittain will be the presider, and burial will be Thursday in Holy Angels Cemetery.

Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 6 p.m. until the time of the Mass.

The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is assisting the family.

Laura A. Chmielewski
Laura A. Chmielewski, nee Pollman, 79, of Kewaskum, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.

She was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Gays Mills, Wis., to the late Adam and Emma (Hart) Pollman, and at an early age moved to Milwaukee.

After her marriage to Stanley W. Chmielewski Sr. on Jan. 31, 1942, in Milwaukee, the couple lived in the Milwaukee area where they raised six children. They moved to the Kewaskum area in the late 1970s.

Survivors include her husband; six children, Stanley Jr. (Carol) of Hales Corners, Claude (Cindy) of Fillmore, Greg of Kewaskum, Joan (Robert) Succa of San Francisco, Calif., Laurance of Atlanta, Ga. and Matthew of Cedarburg; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Shirley Pollman of Gainesville, Fla.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Ralph Pollman.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum, and was very active in the church choir and the University of Wisconsin Washington County Choir.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Mathias Catholic Church, New Fane.

Fr. Mark Jones will officiate, and entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.

Visitation at the church only will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m.

Memorials are appreciated to the New York Firefighters Relief Fund.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.

John A. Bolf
John A. Bolf, 82, of Big Cedar Lake, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, at Hartford memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 10, 1918, in Calumet, Mich., to the late Andrew and Frances (nee Kren) Bolf and married Jean R. Baier on April 30, 1949, in Slinger.

John served with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II.

He was a long-time resident of the Big Cedar Lake area.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Toni (William) Nelson of West Bend; two grandchildren, Alicia and Christopher of West Bend; two sisters, Bernice Aleff of Sheboygan and Florence Holland of California; a brother-in-law, Ed Liske of Manitowoc; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were a brother and six sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Oct. 5, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. (Please meet at the church for Mass.)

Rev. Alois Van Beek will be the presider, and burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Eugene R. Grunke
Eugene R. Grunke, 71, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001.

He was the loving husband of Nancy (nee Novak); beloved dad of Jodie (Jeffrey) Schibline of West Bend; dearest and loving grandpa of Samantha Archer and Adrianna Schibline; flesh and blood of Bruce; brother of Louise (Joseph) Pfieffer, the late Ralph (Becky) and the late Gilbert (Dolores).

He is furthered survived by other relatives and friends.

Gene retired after 38 yeas from Allen Bradley as a supervisor.

He touched many lives by helping people through A.A.

A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale, with entombment in St. Adalbert cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the Max A. Sass and Sons Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a vigil at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia Society are appreciated.

Adeline R. "G.G." Siegesmund
Adeline R. "G.G." Siegesmund, nee Jensen, 83, of Little Green Lake, town of Farmington, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee.

She was born on March 21, 1918, in Milwaukee, to the late Bernt and Pearl (Ortman) Jensen, and graduated in 1936 from Soloman Juneau High School.

After her marriage to Albert W. Siegesmund on Sept. 26, 1942, in Milwaukee, the couple lived in West Allis, moving to Little Green Lake in 1951.

She was a silk screener for Serigraph of West Bend for over 18 years, retiring in 1980.

Her husband passed away on May 23, 1979.

Survivors include two children, Barbara (James) Steier of West Bend and Russell (Sue) of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Jeff Steier, Jeanine (Jay) Schabel, Amy Siegesmund, Laura Siegesmund and Scott Siegesmund; she was proudly known as "G.G." (great grandma)â to Honoria Schabel.

She is also survived by a sister, Darlene (Carl) Zelechowski of Muskego; two brothers, Kenneth (Rose) of Port Washington and Roland of Hartford; a special friend, DiDi Reigle of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of West Bend, and enjoyed making crafts, watching the Brewers and Packers, living her independent lifestyle and loving her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend.

Pastor Oscar Kraft will officiate, and interment will be in Arlington Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Sylvester A. Koll
Sylvester A. Koll, 82, of Nenno, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.

He was born Jan. 1, 1919, in Theresa, to the late Leo and Rose (nee Moser) Koll, and married Mary Graff on June 10, 1944, at St. Anthony's Church, St. Anthony.

Sylvester worked for the Gehl Co. for over 40 years, and was a member of its Hexelbank Club.

He was a "Mr. Fix-It" who enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Rose (Patrick) Barron of Hubertus and Jo Ann (Richard) Heron of Menomonee Falls; two grandchildren, Daniel and Janice Barron; other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Lawrence.

Father Alois Van Beek will officiate, and interment will be in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery Nenno.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church only on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m.

The Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford is assisting the family.
