Richard C. Heidner
Richard C. Heidner, 84, of West Bend, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
He was born on Sept. 24, 1917, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Albion and Elsie (nee Aageson) Heidner.
Richard graduated from West Bend High School in 1935 and attended the University of Wisconsin, graduating in 1939 with a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering. In 1940 he earned his master's of science degree in mechanical engineering at Purdue University.
Richard married Dorothy W. Steward (nee Zerbel) on May 23, 1964 in Galesburg, Ill. She passed away on May 30, 2000.
He retired in 1984 from Gilson Brothers in Plymouth after a long career in mechanical engineering. During his career he was also employed at the Elgin Outboard Division of the West Bend Aluminum Co. in Hartford, Johnson Outboards in Waukegan, Ill., Lawn-Boy in Galesburg, Ill. and Simplicity in Port Washington.
Richard was a 50-year member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and was a 50-year member of the West Bend Masonic Lodge F&AM. He was also a long-time amateur tuba player and enjoyed playing with local Dixieland bands.
Survivors include five children, Marty Heidner of Wausau, Chuck (Judy) Heidner of Green Bay, Bill (Melba) Heidner of Anacoco, La., Gerry (Sandy) Steward and Susan Gould, both of Madison; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special friends, Owen and Lenore Brady of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Mary Heidner (nee Swanton) and a brother, A. Robert Heidner.
A Masonic Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 2:30 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, West Bend, with visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Cremation will take place at Myrhum-Patten Cremation Service and burial of the cremated remains will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Madison.
Memorials are appreciated to the West Bend Community Memorial Library, the Boy Scouts or the American Cancer Society.
Marion M. Schuppel
Marion M. Schuppel, nee Molter, 77, of West Bend, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
She was born May 27, 1924, in Columbus, to the late Peter and Louise (Nee Schroeder) Molter, and was raised in West Bend.
After her marriage to Earl W. Schuppel in July of 1943, in West Bend, the couple lived in West Bend.
She worked for The West Bend Co. for over 30 years, retiring in 1986.
Marion was an avid quilter and enjoyed baking and preparing favorite family meals. Her most treasured times were with her grandchildren and family.
Her husband passed away on Aug. 14, 1965.
Survivors include three children, Kenneth Schuppel and Thomas (Sharon) Schuppel, both of West Bend, and Kay (Arlyn) Sarauer of Conover; four grandchildren, Laurie Sekeres, Tammy (Dale) Singer, Vicki (Ron) Groth and Timothy Schuppel; nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, William Molter of West Bend, Judy (Art) Engeleiter of Menomonee Falls and Peter (Phyllis) Molter of Phelps; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was a member of The West Bend Co. 25-year Club and St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend.
Rev. George A. Mumm will officiate, and interment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, at 10 a.m. on Monday.
Visitation at the church only will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated.

Marcella Stoffel Beisbier
Marcella Stoffel Beisbier, 89, formerly of the town of Ashford, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lomira, where she had been a resident for the past six years.
She was born in Lomira on Oct. 30, 1912, to the late John and Barbara (Welsch) Stoffel, and on Sept. 1, 1931, married Gregor J. Beisbier at St. Martin's Church in Ashford.
He passed away on Jan. 12, 1975.
She was a former member of St. Martin's Church in Ashford, Holy Trinity Church in Kewaskum and St. Mary's Sodality, and was an Avon representative for 16 years.
Survivors include children, Cornelius (Evelyn) Beisbier of Kewaskum, Louise (Joseph) Bonlender and Lila (Forrest) Kleinhans, both of Campbellsport, Paula (Allen) Schoofs and Robert Beisbier, both of Kewaskum, Gerald (Linda) Beisbier of Campbellsport, Greg B. Preceding her in death were a son, Al; two daughters-in-law, Susann Harter Beisbier and Sandra Thompson Beisbier; three brothers, Raymond, Alois (Rita) and Sylvester; and a sister, Lorraine (Benno) Simon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Campbellsort.
Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate, and burial will be Friday in St. Martin's Cemetery, Ashford.
Visitation at the church will be Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of services.
The Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport, is assisting the family.
Harry J. Wittenberger
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church for Harry J. Wittenberger who died Nov. 10, 2001, at the age of 90. Rev. Randolph Raasch conducted the funeral service. Interment took place immediately after the service at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home of Grafton assisted the family.
Mr. Wittenberger was born on Sept. 9, 1911, to the late August Wittenberger and the late Emma Schmidt. He married Elsie Schultz on Sept. 9, 1939 at St. John Lutheran Church in Port Washington. He was a dairy farmer for most of his life and was a member at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Survivors include wife Elsie (nee Schultz) of Grafton; children Fern (Marvin Kannenberg) of Cedarburg, Rev. Denis (Barbara) Wittenberger of Mansfield, Ohio; grandchildren Holly (Kevin) Marshall of Chehalis, Wash., Nowell Kannenberg of Cedarburg, Kristin Wittenberger of Mansfield, Ohio; great-grandchildren Kassandra, Kjersten, Mikayla Marshall of Chehalis, Wash.; sisters-in law Dorene Knuth of Port Washington, Dorothy Wittenberger of Richfield.
He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son Lyle, six brothers, and a sister.
Memorials can be made to First Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Renira S. M. White
Funeral services for Renira S. M. White were held at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. Rev. Jay Lambert of St. Boniface Episcopalian Church in Mequon officiated.
Mrs. White, 91, passed away on Nov. 11, 2001 at Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee of small-cell lung cancer.
Born in Karachi, India on Feb. 27, 1910, Mrs. White was the daughter of a career soldier in the British Army, Regimental Sergeant Major William Farmer, and Amy (Garlick) Farmer.
Apprenticed as a milliner in Birmingham, England, she sewed many of her own clothes and had an intense love of gardening.
On Sept. 14, 1936 she married Harry J. White. During World War II, Mrs. White lived in London while her husband served in the Royal Air Force. After the war, the Whites settled in Ascot, Berkshire, their home for 35 years.
In 1991, upon the death of her husband, Mrs. White moved to Cedarburg to be near her daughter, Renira (Jack) Pachuta.
She is survived by her daughter’s family, including granddaughters Emma and Abigail, and by many friends who were entertained by her storytelling and sense of humor.
Inurnment will be in Zur Ruhe Cemetery, Cedarburg.
Memorials may be sent to either the Ozaukee County Humane Society or to Ruth Hospice.
Emil G. Vollmer
Emil G. Vollmer, a former resident of Grafton, died on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001 at the age of 71 in Mesa, Az. In accordance with Emil’s wishes, no formal service will be held. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 1-4 p.m. at the Rose-Harms American Legion Post #355 in Grafton.
Mr. Vollmer was born on Nov. 19, 1929 in Milwaukee, the son of Emil V. and Arylene (Holtz) Vollmer. He married Eileen Senger on Jan. 10, 1953. She preceded him in death in 1988. In 1989, he married Sharon Heinrich of Mesa, Az.
Survivors include wife Sharon; daughters Cindy (Al) Nielsen, Linda Reed, Vicki (Mike) Strey, and Toni (David) Moegenburg; grandchildren Shawn (Kristin) Vollmer, Allen Nielsen, Rachele Strey, Lisa and Tracey Letson, and Brett and Eric Moegenburg.
He is further survived by stepchildren, Cindy Leichtnam, Donald and Dennis Heinrich; stepgrandchildren Corey (Stephanie) Krueger, Tim, Joe and Chrystyna Leichtnam and Danny Heinrich; and stepgreat-grandchildren Codey and Taylor Krueger, along with other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice in the name of Emil would be appreciated.
Hildegarde Steinbach
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Hildegarde Steinbach (nee Bublitz) of Cedarburg, who died on Nov. 12, 2001 at the age of 91. Interment was at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born in the town of Jackson on March 28, 1910 to the late John and Louise (nee Graese) Bublitz and married the late Lorenz Steinbach on April 11, 1942 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
She was a homemaker and a long-time active member at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Survivors include sister Edna Gierach of Germantown; sister-in-laws Alice Bublitz, Clara Bublitz, both of West Bend and Irene Steinbach of Mayville; niece Janice (Edward) Bernarde of Germantown; great-nice Rhonda (Gary) Hilgendorf of Cedarburg; great-nephew Bruce (Tracy) Bernarde of Germantown. She was the great-greataunt of Aaron Hilgendorf and Zachary Bernarde, also loving aunt to many other nieces and nephews.
She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
