Robert Philip "Bob’ Skrentny
Robert Philip "Bob’ Skrentny, 60, of Campbellsport, formerly of West Bend, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, after a brief and courageous struggle with pancreatic cancer.
Bob was born 60 years ago on March 24, in Green Bay, to the late Raymond and Ann (Felden) Skrentny.
An avid Packer fan, a Wisconsin sports enthusiast, a lover of rummaging and flea markets, Bob spent much of his free time fixing and fishing at his lake home.
A dedicated employee of the Gehl Co. in West Bend for nearly 38 years, he became a member of the Hexelbank Club in 1989.
He taught his family to respect and enjoy nature and the outdoors where many special times were spent with them.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Spradau), his wife of 40 years; the loving father of Jeff (Lynne) of Chicago, Jim (partner, Steve) of Madison, Joanne (George) Phillips of Milwaukee and Joy (John) Heinan of West Bend; dear grandfather of Elizabeth and Joseph Phillips, Richard and Robert Heinan.
He is also survived by five brothers, Jerome of West Bend, David of Sturtevant, Tom (Bonnie) of Sun Prairie, Barney (Julia) of England and Ray (Chris) of New Berlin; his father-in-law, Edward Spradau of Cascade; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ace Hutchinson of West Bend, Jan Spradau of South Dakota, Sherry and Dennis Muench of West Bend, Scott and Dawn Spradau of Cascade, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
We dearly miss the twinkle in your eyes, your playful spirit and your loving embrace.
Visitation at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, will be Friday, Nov. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m.
At Robert's request, a memorial service for the immediate family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory for cancer research through the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
Constance D. "Tootsie" Traynor
A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, Nov. 30 at Pinelawn Cemetery Chapel for Constance D. "Tootsie" Traynor, who died on Nov. 25, 2001, at the age of 69. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow.
Survivors include: sons Robert (Janet Joyce), James Traynor; daughter Mary (Imre) Arvai; grandchildren Jonathan, Andrew, Michael, Brian and Heather; sister Amelia Chiconas; brother Charles (Sharon) Chiconas.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack.
Judith K. "Judy" Steffen
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg for Judith K. "Judy" Steffen (nee Weber) who died on Nov. 23, 2001 at the age of 59. Rev. Tim Niekerk of Living Word Lutheran Church, Jackson, officiated at the ceremony. Burial was at Zur Ruhe Cemetery.
Mueller Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born April 12, 1942 in Port Washington, to the late Gerhard and Laura (nee Krantz) Weber, and married Raymond Steffen on May 30, 1964 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg.
Mrs. Steffen was employed at Mutual Savings Bank corporate headquarters, Brown Deer, for more than 10 years.
Survivors include: husband Raymond; children Kari and Russell Steffen; brother Dale G. (Manette) Weber; stepsister Betty Krueger.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by step-father Raymond Krueger and sister Winifred Schoessow.

Ruth Secora
Funeral Services were held on Nov. 27 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redgranite for Ruth Secora, who died on Nov. 22, 2001 at the age of 88. The Rev. Gregory Sluke officiated at the ceremony. She was laid to rest beside her husband, Harold, in the Foster Road Cemetery, Redgranite. The Ruminski Funeral Home of Redgranite assisted the family
Mrs. Secora was born Jan. 26, 1913 in Spring Lake, the daughter of Emil and Lilah (Quimby) Larson. She married Harold H. Secora Aug. 28, 1930 in Wautoma. Harold preceded Ruth in death April 24, 1980.
She lived in Milwaukee from 1941 until 1971 when she returned to Lohrville following her retirement from the Master Lock Company. She loved to bowl and won many trophies. She also enjoyed growing vegetables in her garden. She was an excellent seamstress and made many of her clothes. She was the first queen of the annual Redgranite Golden Alumni Reunion, held as part of the Labor Day Celebration. She was a faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Redgranite.
Survivors include: son Robert (Dorothy) Secora of Ocala, Fla.; daughter Carole (Rudolf) Thinschmidt of Grafton; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Further survived by her sister, Helen (the Late Edmund) Marshall of Oshkosh, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Harold, Ruth was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, Charles "Chuck" and Virginia Larson, and a brother-in-law, Edmund Marshall.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Richard Sternke and the staff at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma for the wonderful care she received.
A memorial has been established for the Redgranite Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.
Lois Piekarz
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg for Lois Piekarz of Cedarburg who died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001 at the age of 69.
Interment was held at the church cemetery.
She was born Aug. 2, 1932 in Milwaukee to the late Fred and Bertha (nee Barth) Roeder and married Frank Piekarz in Milwaukee on April 11, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1992.
Survivors include: children Denise (Ronald) Pedderson of Grafton, Patty (William) Van Horn of Florida, Diane (James) Moyer of Muskego and Robert (Lynn) Piekars of Connecticut; grandchildren Stephanie, Joshua, William, Amy, Matthew, Elizabeth, Erin, Michael, Ariella and Sydney; great-grandchild Calist Rae; sister Shirley (Wayne) Krawczyk of Menomonee Falls.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials to Ruth Hospice Milwaukee appreciated.
Evert Ott
A private committal service will occur on Dec. 6 for Katherine Evert Ott, who died on Nov. 26, 2001 at the age of 92. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Episcopal Church in Mequon. There will be a luncheon following the service at the church.
The Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, Thiensville, is serving the family.
Mrs. Ott was the daughter of Mabel Evert Warnock and Carl Evert. She attended Marinette High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in elementary education.
She married George Louis Ott on July 29, 1933.
She taught second grade for many years, including 16 years in the Cedarburg School District. After retirement she tutored young students in reading.
She was an active member of the Senior Woman’s Club of Cedarburg. She and her husband were founding members of St. Boniface Episcopal Church in Mequon. Her and her husband greatly enjoyed traveling as they visited many places around the world, including Southeast Asia, Africa, China, Alaska and Russia.
Survivors include: son George Evert Ott (Connie) of Cross Plains; daughter Mary Kay Wesolowski (Paul) of St. Francis; grandchildren Tammy and Teri Hundhausen, Robin Ott, George (Julie) Ott, Michael (Marianne) Ott and Mark (Valerie) Ott; great-grandchildren, Michael and Natalie Sharpe, George S., Justin, Spencer and Salacia Ott.
The family asks that memorials be made to St. Boniface Episcopal Church, Mequon.
Webb J. Kennedy
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 16, at Congregation Shalom in Fox Point for Webb J. Kennedy of Mequon who died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Crivitz, at the age of 49. Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the ceremony. Interment was held at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery.
Mr. Kennedy was born on March 12, 1952 in Green Bay, the son of the late James and Suzan Kennedy. He graduated from UW-Green Bay in 1978 with a degree in psychology and communications. He worked in sales until 1983 when he received his real estate broker’s license. He then worked as a self-employed property manager for several rental properties in the Milwaukee area. Recently he sold his rental units and began a new venture managing commercial real estate with his wife Marla.
In September 2001, he returned to college to get a degree in Computer Information Systems.
Survivors include: his wife Marla; children Elizabeth, 21, Joshua,16, and Suzan,14, of Mequon; siblings Daniel (Marcia) Kennedy of Green Bay, Colleen (Brian) Leigh of Mequon, Kerrie Kennedy of Green Bay, and Christopher (Jessica) Kennedy of Milwaukee. He is also survived by his grandmother Viola Huxford and his aunt Mary Jane Kennedy both of Green Bay.
The family would like to extend gratitude for the heartfelt efforts of the doctors and nurses in the Neuroscience ICU and pastoral care staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay.
Memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
Michael Thomas "Mike" Hilpert
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton, for Michael Thomas "Mike" Hilpert, 41, of Richfield, who died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001 at his residence. The Rev. Patrick Mulcahy officiated. Interment took place at Lakefield Cemetery, town of Grafton. Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m.
He was born July 16, 1960 in Milwaukee, the son of Thomas and Gloria (nee Haas) Hilpert.
Survivors include his mother Gloria Waldvogel of Cedarburg; siblings Christine Jordan of Jackson, Daniel (Debbie) Burgard of Newburg, Jacqueline (Phil) Kurzbuch of Grafton and Mark Alan Hilpert of Random Lake.
He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas and two half-brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated.
