Sylvia J. Reimer
A funeral service was held on Monday, Dec. 3, for Sylvia J. Reimer (nee Messenbrink) who died on Nov. 30, 2001, at the age of 92. Interment was at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Milwaukee. Mueller Funeral Home of Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Reimer was born May 6, 1909 the daughter of Herman and Anna (nee Fahsel) Messenbrink. She was married to the late Harry C. Reimer. Survivors include: son Ron (Karen) Reimer; grandchildren Melissa (Boyd) Miller, Therese (Rod) Johnson, John Reimer and Chris Reimer; great-grandchildren Ryan, Callie Anansi, Cedro, Isaiah and Xavier; nephew Glenn Mason; niece Lois (Richard) Manhardt.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Linda M. Kalweit
A memorial service will be held for Linda M. Kalweit (nee Gerner) on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Grafton. Family will receive friends at the church after 2 p.m.
Mrs. Kalweit was born in Saukville on May 19, 1912, the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (nee Binder) Gerner. She married the late William Kalweit on May 20, 1944 in Saukville.
She worked at Tecumseh Products in Grafton. Mrs. Kalweit and her husband were charter members of Pilgrim United Church of Christ.
Survivors include: Harvey (Edith) Kalweit, Susan (Philip) Skowbo, Ruth (David) Lindorff and Joan Kalweit; grandchildren Bill (Tani), Andy and Linda Kalweit, Betsy and Joan Skowbo, Paul (Beth) and Tim Lindorff; brother Elmer Gerner.
She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials to Pilgrim United Church of Christ appreciated.
Rosalia Bares
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Parish, Holy Cross Chapel in the Town of Belgium for Rosalia Bares of Port Washington, who died on Dec. 3, 2001 at the age of 88. The ceremony will be preceded by family rites at 9:30 a.m. at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. Father James Ernster will officiate at the ceremony with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday after 9 a.m.
Mrs. Bares was born Oct. 8, 1913 in Dacada, daughter of Michael and Lucy (Becker) Streff. She married Syl Bares at Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville on April 18, 1936. The couple farmed in the town of Port Washington until retiring. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish-Holy Cross Chapel in Belgium, the Catholic Knights, Christian Mothers, Royal Neighbors, Good Samaritan Guild and the Apostolate of Suffering.
Survivors include: husband Syl Bares of Port Washington; daughters Arlene (the late Walter) Jentges of Port Washington, Audrey (Alvin) Schueller of Belgium and June (Gene) Grandlic of Cedarburg; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Peter, Edward and Demi.
Kenneth A. "Soaky" Brace
Kenneth A. "Soaky" Brace, 50, of West Bend, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital, Wauwatosa.
He was born June 1, 1951, in Milwaukee, to Robert and Delores (Carstens) Brace Sr., was raised in West Bend and graduated from West Bend High School in 1969.
He later served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era.
After the service he was employed at ACE Auto Trim of West Bend for over 30 years.
He was a member of the Harley Owners Group of Washington County and was a past member of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Delores Brace Sr. of West Bend; three brothers, John (Jean) of Big Cedar Lake, Robert Jr. (Linda) of West Bend and Neil of Milwaukee; two nieces and three nephews, Karri (Chris) Tait of Waukesha, Ryan (Katie) Brace of Wauwatosa, Matt Brace of Big Cedar Lake and Peggy Brace and Eric Brace, both of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two nephews, Adam and Aaron Brace.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend.
Rev. David Schoob will officiate, and interment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Frederick E. Kissinger
Frederick E. Kissinger, 51, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born on May 5, 1950, in West Bend, to the late Herbert and Marie (Thull) Kissinger.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include three sisters, Marlene (Joel) Wilde of Richfield, Rosemary Kissinger and Bonnie (Gary) Hahn, both of West Bend; two brothers, William (Mary) Kissinger and Gerry Kissinger (significant other, Sandy McGrath), both of West Bend; four nieces; four nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was a nephew, Tommy Schuppel in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum.
Father Mark Jones will officiate, and military rites will be held after the funeral services. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Harold A. Lindley
Harold A. Lindley, 89, of West Bend, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital.
He was born Sept. 3, 1912, in Baraboo to the late Arthur and Amelia (nee Wandrei) Lindley, and married Peggy Johnson on Sept. 3, 1955 in Norwood, Ohio.
After his graduation from Baraboo High School, Harold became employed at the Gamble Stores, working in various cities prior to coming to West Bend in 1937.
He then was employed at the Wisconsin Electric Power Co. until entering the U.S. Army, serving in the European Theater during World War II.
After his discharge he returned to West Bend and continued working at Wisconsin Electric Power Co. At the time of his retirement in October, 1977, he was a service representative.
Harold was a 50-year member and past commander of the Fred A. Schaefer Post 1393 VFW, a member of the Adrian Frankow Ch. 58 DAV, and was also a member of the Camera Clique and EMBA at WEPCO.
He organized the Loyalty Day Program in the local schools and was active in the Voice of Democracy Program for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Steven (Sheryl) of West Bend and Bonnie (Daniel) Helm of Jackson; four grandchildren, Thomas and Peter Lindley and Scott and Shaina Helm; two sisters, Gertrude McCoy of Payson, Utah and Ellen Gasner of Baraboo; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were two brothers-in-law, Donald McCoy and Marvin Gasner.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend.
Pastor Daniel Kelm will officiate, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Those who wish may give memorials to the VFW Children's Home or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Florence M. Willie
Mass of Christian was held Friday, Dec. 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington for Florence M. Willie (nee Schmitz) who died on Dec. 5, 2001 at the age of 83. Father Allan J. Sommer officiated at the ceremony. Interment was at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Newburg. Mueller Funeral Home of Cedarburg is assisting the family.
Mrs. Willie was born Sept. 2, 1918 in Grafton, the daughter of the late Henry and Yuba (nee Harnack) Schmitz. She married Elmer Wille in Port Washington on May 6, 1939.
Survivors include: children Glenn (Kathleen) of Cedarburg and Carol Frymark of Menomonee Falls; daughter-in-law Minnie Willie of Port Washington; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Further survived by 2 sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, sons Wayne and Dennis, son-in-law Robert Frymark, sister Harriet Heiser and brothers Roland and Raymond Schmitz.
Arnold Lueders
Funeral services were held on Friday Dec. 7, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Arnold Lueders who died on Dec. 4, 2001 at the age of 94. The Rev. Dale Erickson officiated at the ceremony. Interment was held at Immanuel Cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, assisted the family.
Mr. Lueders was born Oct. 2, 1907 in Cedarburg to the late Otto and Anna (nee Baesemann) and married Alice (nee Arndt) on June 29, 1929 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He was a longtime employee of Tri-Par Oil Company and a lifelong member of Immanuel.
Survivors include: daughter Audrey (Marshall) Filter; grandchildren Mary Kay (Stuart) Carron and Terry (Michael) Esterday; great-grandchildren Ben, Lindsay, Rachel, Blake and Andrew; brother Clarence; sister Eleanor Fischer; sister-in-law Louise Lueders.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
