Esther L. Schoessow-Hilgendorf

Funeral services were held on Friday Dec. 7, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Freistadt for Esther L. Schoessow-Hilgendorf of Germantown who died on Dec. 4, 2001 at the age of 93. Interment was at the church cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Hilgendorf was born Sept. 10, 1908 in Mequon, to the late Frank and Clara (nee Radue) Klug.

Survivors include: children Harold (Dorothy) Schoessow of Mequon, Dolores (Marvin) Boehlke of Germantown, Dorothy (Bert) Griffin of Fullerton, Calif., Ruth (John) Leninger of Lady Lake, Fla., Timothy (Terry) Schoessow of Mequon; stepdaughters Doreen (Bob) Corso of Germantown, Mary Ann (David) Bowden of Falls Church, Va.; sisters Alma Riemer of Cedarburg, Elvira Buch of Waterloo, Norma Schoessow of Texas, Loraine (Earl) Boehlke of Random Lake, Marion Frenz of Cedarburg; brother Franklin (Evelyn) Klug of Mequon; sister-in-law Viola Klug of Mequon.

Further survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Herbert Schoessow in 1984 and her second husband Fred Hilgendorf in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Evelyn Rutz and son James Schoessow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church or charity of your choice are appreciated.

William P. "Bill" Langenecker

William P. "Bill" Langenecker, 73, of Hartford, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at Hartford Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 2, 1928, in the town of Polk to the late William and Alice (Becker) Langenecker and was raised in Slinger where he attended St. Peter's Catholic School.

He later served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

After returning to the Slinger/Hartford area, Bill was self-employed as owner/operator of Kettle Inn in Slinger.

Later he was self-employed as an interstate truck driver for over 25 years.

Survivors include William Ivan (Kay) Langenecker of Campbellsport; a granddaughter, Margaret Ann Langenecker of Campbellsport; a very special friend, Kathleen R. Olinske of Hartford; other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the American Legion Post of Allenton and a past member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Slinger.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, Slinger.

Father Robert J. Bales will officiate, and interment will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services.

LeRoy A. Reed Jr.
LeRoy A. Reed Jr., 74, of Eloy, Ariz., formerly of Slinger, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 8, 1927, in Freeport, Ill., to the late LeRoy A. Sr. and Tina (Tressner) Reed and was raised in Richland Center.

After his marriage to Delores Senger in 1945 in Milwaukee, the couple lived in Milwaukee for nine years, then moved to Slinger. Delores passed away in 1962.

He then married Diana Kopp on June 11, 1966 at North Trinity Lutheran Church, Milwaukee. The couple continued to live in Slinger.

LeRoy was a quality control engineer at Arcron of Menomonee Falls for 14 years.

Survivors include his wife; seven children, Robert Reed of Florida, Richard (Kathie) Reed of North Fond du Lac, Rodney (Paula) Reed of Slinger, Penny (George) Rose of Ashland, Neb., LeRoy (Jean) Reed of Kewaskum, Jodi (Jeff) LaRocque of Waubeno and Dan Reed of Flagstaff, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Jean (Del) Burrington of Dousman, Shirley (Sam) Schriner and Millie McGill, both of Eloy; two brothers, Raymond Reed of Rome, Wis. and Walter (Marge) Reed of Bourbonnais, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Caroline Reed of Fresno, Calif.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, Pamela Reed; a grandson, Charles Reed; a sister, Joyce Mecum; and two brothers, Robert and Norman.

He was a past member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Slinger.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Slinger.

Pastor James Castillo will officiate, and interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Slinger.

Visitation at the Phillip Funeral Home, Slinger, will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Friday at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church from noon until the time of services.

Memorials are appreciated.

Dorothy V. "Dot" Lind
Dorothy V. "Dot" Lind, nee Barton, of West Bend, formerly of Lannon, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital at the age of 75.

She was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Thomaston, Maine, to the late Alonzo and Mildred (Linekin) Barton, and graduated from Thomaston High School in 1945.

After her marriage to Harry Lind in 1948, the couple lived in Lannon.

She was the manager of Piggly Wiggly in Lannon for over 30 years, retiring in 1985.

She moved to West Bend in 1999.

Her husband passed away on Dec. 29, 1993.

Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Tootill of Punta Gorda, Fla.; a grandson, Duane (Suzyette) Farrand of West Bend; three granddaughters, Lisa Hansen of Milwaukee, Cheryl Farrand of Waukesha and Dorothy Farrand of Pontiac, Ill.; five great-grandchildren, Crystal and Joshua Farrand, Kyle and Alexander Farrand, and Cheyanne Hansen; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a brother, Alonzo "Pete" Barton; a daughter, Suzanne Farrand-Barton; and a son, Ronald Barton.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend.

Father Jerry Repenshek will officiate, and interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Menomonee Falls.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from noon until the time of services.

Hildegarde Treager

Hildegarde Treager died on Dec. 4, 2001 at the age of 88.
Mrs. Treager was born on Sept. 8, 1913 in Fort Wayne, Ind., daughter of Rev. Louis and Clara Hessert.

She was a longtime Cedarburg resident and was a member of the Cedarburg Woman’s Club and the Cedarburg Cultural Center.

Survivors include: son Richard (Carol) Traeger of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren Ric (Judy) Traeger, Tijeras, N.M., Marc (Laura) Traeger, Tallahassee, Fla., Scott Traeger, Las Vegas, Nev., Kim (Mark) Nutter of Austin, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; Cedarburg family: Dorothy (Dale) Brookhouser and their children Jill (Richard) Schultz, John Brookhouser, Anne Brookhouser, David Brookhouser of Phoenix, Ariz.

Memorials can be made in her memory to the Cedarburg Cultural Center.

Dorothy Hundt

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Grafton for Dorothy Hundt (nee Baal), formerly of Grafton, who died on Dec. 9, 2001 at the age of 80. Interment will be in church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Hundt was born on Dec. 10, 1920 in Milwaukee to the late John and Regina (nee Michaels) Baal. She married Alvin W. Hundt in Milwaukee on April 11, 1942.

Survivors include: husband Alvin W. of Shawano, children; Valerie Averill of Fredonia, Alvin W. Jr. "Rip" (Nancy) Hundt of Grafton; grandchildren Julie (Pram) Adriansjach of Madison, Brett (Robin) Dotzauer of Plainfield, Alvin Timothy (Cindy) Hundt of Cleveland, Michelle Dotzauer (friend Jeff Lucas) of Fredonia, Maureen Hundt of Grafton; great-grandchildren Jordan Dotzauer of Fredonia and Alivia Hundt of Cleveland.

Further survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Mountain View Lutheran Church building fund or choir, Apache Junction, Ariz., appreicated.

Linda Pingolt

A funeral service was held Tuesday at the Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, for Linda Pingolt (nee Ruppel) of Cedarburg who died on Dec. 6, 2001 at the age of 87. Interment was at Immanuel Cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Survivors include: children Frank (Audrey), Donald (Shirley), Leroy (Judy), Nancy (Ted) Black; sister Emily Wiroll.

Further survived by 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Joseph Hermann

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield for Joseph Hermann, who died on Dec. 7, 2001 at the age of 61. Father James Strupp officiated at the ceremony. Interment took place at Wisconsin Memorial Park. The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Hermann was born on Oct. 21, 1940 in Apatin, Yugoslavia. He married Anita Hernandes-Benavides. Mr. Hermann served in the U.S. Army during the pre-Vietnam Era and worked as a kitchen aide for Ferrante’s Restaurant.

Survivors include: wife Anita of Grafton; mother-in-law Sefernia Hernandez of Grafton; family members Lucio, Sheila, John, Jean, Debra, Samuel, Betty, Leander, Hope, Pat, Raul, Jacqueline, Anita, Joseph, Santos, Holly, Bridgette and Kathy.

He is further survived by 34 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
