Brenda L. Zink, Robert E. Bingham Jr.
Travis J. Zink, Jade R. Bingham
BOSCOBEL - Brenda L. Zink, 31, and her children, Travis J. Zink, 14, Jade R. Bingham, 10 and Robert E. Bingham Jr., 9, all of Boscobel, died on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Woodman township, Grant County, as the result of a drowning accident on the Wisconsin River.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Boscobel. The Rev. Charles Koester will officiate. Burial will be in Homer cemetery, rural Boscobel.
Mrs. Zink was born on March 14, 1969, in Freeport, Ill., the daughter of Albert Jr. and Sherry (Alberts) Zink.
Mrs. Zink was a 1988 graduate of Beaver Dam High School.
Survivors include her parents, Albert Zink Jr., Watertown, and Sherry Zink, Juneau; her special friend, Robert Bingham Sr., Boscobel; two brothers, Albert (Cherey) Zink, Sun Prairie, and Galen Zink, Juneau; one sister, Pegi (Scott) Erdmann, Juneau; paternal grandmother, Ruth Zink, Warren, Ill.; two nieces, Trina and Amanda Erdman, both of Juneau; mother-in-law, Dorothy Bingham, Boscobel.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry and Arlene Alberts; and paternal grandfather, Albert Zink Sr.
Travis J. Zink, 14, was born on May 8, 1986, in Watertown. He was in the eighth grade at Boscobel Middle School.
Jade R. Bingham, 10, was born on Sept. 30, 1989, in Watertown. She was in the fifth grade at Boscobel Elementary School.
Robert E. Bingham Jr., 9, was born on Sept. 9, 1990, in Boscobel. He was in the fourth grade at Boscobel Elementary School.
The children are survived by their father, Robert Bingham Sr., Boscobel; maternal grandfather, Albert Zink Jr., Watertown; maternal grandmother, Sherry Zink, Juneau; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Bingham, Boscobel; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Zink, Warren, Ill.; aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Monday, Aug. 21, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Boscobel.
Memorials may be made to the Zink/Bingham memorial fund at any Community 1st Bank in the Boscobel area, or any Clare Bank in Boscobel and surrounding area.

Donald H. Remmel
WAUPUN - Donald H. Remmel, 78, of 311 S. Division St., Waupun, died on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at his home.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun. The Rev's. Shelly Schultz and Bruce Buslaff will officiate. Prior to that a memorial graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., at the Forest Mound cemetery Waupun, followed by a visitation at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
Mr. Remmel was born on Jan. 7, 1922, in Milwaukee, the son of Ben J. and Ella (Kressin) Remmel. He was married
on Feb. 16, 1947, to Peggy Stateson, in Fond du Lac.
Mr. Remmel graduated from Waupun High School and attended Ripon College then entered military service in 1942 and was commissioned as 2nd Lt. where he served with the Glider Infantry in Europe and was awarded the bronze star and combat infantryman's badge. He served as company commander of the Waupun National Guard Unit, where he completed 20 years of service retiring in 1962. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion and Reserve Officers Association.
After his marriage, he and his wife lived in the Waupun area all their life. Don was an insurance salesman and pharmaceutical salesman, retiring in 1987. He was a lifelong member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun, and was a past member of the church council and Sunday school staff. He served as past president of the Waupun Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife enjoyed golf and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Remmel, Waupun; one son, Scott Remmel, Minnesota; one daughter, Barbara Remmel, Beaver Dam; one sister, Grace (Augie) Staehling, Waupun; one sister-in-law, Stephany Stateson Hales Corners; close friend, Dr. Dave Vagneur, Minnesota; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.
The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun is serving the family.
Grace Beekman
BRANDON - Grace Beekman, 78, of Highway M, Brandon, died on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at her home.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m., at Bethel Reformed Church, Brandon. The Rev. LeRoy Boender will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery.
Mrs. Beekman was born on Dec. 16, 1921, in Friesland, the daughter of William and Clara (Kok) Mulder. She was married
on May 2, 1941, to Elmer Beekman, in Brandon.
Mrs. Beekman and her husband farmed in the Brandon area all her married
life. She was a charter member of Bethel Reformed Church, Brandon, where she was active in its RCWM guild.
Survivors include six sons, Herbert (Pat) Beekman, David (Frances) Beekman, and Kenneth Beekman, all of Brandon, Donald (Betty) Beekman, Lomira, Ron (Betty) Beekman, New Berlin, and Wallace (Linda) Beekman, Waupun; one daughter, Kathleen Beekman, Brandon; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gertrude Van Galen, Arizona Martha (Delmar) Vande Slunt, Brandon, and Henrietta (Robert) Malone, Chicago; two brothers, Harry (Dorthy) Mulder, Brandon, and Jacob Mulder, Ripon; one sister-in-law, Minnie Mulder, Oak Lawn, Ill.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one infant daughter; one infant grandson; and three brothers.

Wynn M. Irish
AMBERG - Wynn Marie Irish, 39, of Amberg, died on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at her home after a long illness.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m., at Amberg Presbyterian Church, Amberg. The Rev. Fred Wadsworth will officiate.
Mrs. Irish was born on July 4, 1961, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Ray and Nancy (Davis) Werner. She was married
to Bill Irish.
Mrs. Irish and her family lived in the Wausaukee/Amberg area for the last 16 years. She was a member of the Amberg Presbyterian Church and was active as a 4-H leader when her health permitted.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Irish; her parents, Ray and Nancy Werner, North Las Vegas; one daughter, Bridget Irish, Amberg; one brother, Wade (Dahlia) Werner, Portage; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Monday, Aug. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Amberg Presbyterian Church.

Tena Dykstra
RANDOLPH - Tena Dykstra, 84, of Randolph, died on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at Continental Manor.
The funeral was held on Monday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m., at First Reformed Church of Friesland. The Rev. Ronald Van Der Werff officiated. Burial was in Friesland cemetery.
Mrs. Dykstra was born on June 12, 1916, in Columbia County, the daughter of Sam and Elsie (Alsum) Hoffman. She was married
on Aug. 22, 1932, to William Dykstra, in East Friesland.
Mrs. Dykstra was a lifelong resident of the Randolph area, where she and her husband farmed until his death in 1982. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Friesland. What was most important to her was her family and she enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include five daughters, Vernette (Dewey) Katsma, Eldred "Ann" (Robert) Scott, Delavan, Sandra (Dale) Ruston, Rosholt, Judith (Robert) Van Ooyen, McHenry, Ill., and Debra (Gordon) Patrouille, Waupun; one son, Harold (Elaine) Dykstra, Lomira; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four sisters, JoAnne (Marvin) Alsum, Agnes (Edward) Westra, Caroline Herringa, all of Randolph, and Cora (Robert) Lemmenes, Waupun; four brothers, John (Evelyn) Hoffman, Carl (Muriel) Hoffman, Ronnie (Harriet) Hoffman, all of Randolph, and Melvin (Alice) Hoffman, Cambria, one sister-in-law, Cora Hoffman, Randolph; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1982; one grandson, Donald Katsma; one granddaughter, Rhonda Dykstra; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Ruston; one infant sister, Eleanor Hoffman; and one brother, Jake Hoffman.
Friends called on Sunday, Aug. 20, at Randolph Community Funeral Home, from 5 to 8 p.m., and on Monday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Patricia A. Mallon
Patricia A. Mallon, 60, of 508 North St., Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m., at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. David Bitler will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.
Mrs. Mallon was born on Feb. 2, 1940, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Orville and Margaret (Schiradelly) Roedl. She was married
on Oct. 11, 1958, to Joseph F. Mallon, in Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Mallon was employed at Beaver Specialties for 33 years. She was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Mallon, Beaver Dam; one son, Jeff (Kathy) Mallon, North Carolina; one daughter, Jodie (Arlyn) Hollander, Randolph; four sisters, Gloria (William) Snell, and Linda (Bill) Seitz, both of Beaver Dam, Carol (Roy) Rosenthal, Hustisford, and Joyce (Gary) Dykstra, Fall River; one brother, Richard Roedl, Burnett; four grandsons, Eric Mallon, and Nathan, Matthew and Tim Hollander; four step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Russell Bresser
WAUPUN - Russell Bresser, 78, of Waupun, died on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at his home.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Reformed Church, Waupun. The Rev. Dan Jelsma will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery.
Mr. Bresser was born on Dec. 29, 1921, in the town of Trenton, the son of John and Hattie (Vande Zande) Bresser. He was married
on April 6, 1949, to Claudia Van Wyk, in Sheboygan Falls.
Mr. Bresser had a passion for farming and continued to work with his son Rolland until his health began to fail two years ago. He was past chairman of the town of Oakfield Farm Bureau, a charter member of Trinity Reformed Church where he served as deacon, elder and was active in the Sunday school program.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia Bresser, Waupun; one son, Rolland "Rollie" (Jane) Bresser, Oakfield; four daughters, Marcia (Jim) Van Buren, Laurenda "Laurie" (Jeff) Mueller, and LaCinda "Cindy" (Gary) Sullivan, all of Waupun, and LaVonne "Vonnie" (John) Hofman, Oakfield; 16 grandchildren; two sisters, Laurene Rens, and Delores Rens, both of Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law.

Alois Huber
Alois Huber, 96, of W9883 Highway DE West, Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m., at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Huber was born on June 26, 1904, in Buttisholz Luzern County, Switzerland, the son of Joseph and Agatha (Heini) Huber. He was married
on Nov. 15, 1p30, to Alice Blattner, in Beaver Dam.
Mr. Huber was a resident of Beaver Dam since 1926. He and his wife operated the Willow Center and Lakeshore Cheese factories for Joe Schmid in the Beaver Dam area for 45 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, the Holy Name Society, the Old Timer's Bowling League and a life member of the Southeastern Wisconsin Cheesemakers Association.
Survivors include his children, Carl J. (Carol) Huber, Allentown, Pa., Walter (Wilma) Huber, Orlando, Fla., and Mary (James) Barstow, Beaver Dam; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ida Wyss, New Glarus; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Huber; one brother, Joseph Huber; and one sister, Frieda Schnyder.
Friends may call on Thursday, Aug. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:45 p.m.

Alice Huber
Alice Huber, 95, of W9883 Highway DE West, Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.

on Nov. 15, 1930, to Alois Huber, in Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Huber came to the United States in 1929, moving from Switzerland. She and her husband operated the Willow Center and Lakeshore Cheese factories for Joe Schmid in the Beaver Dam area for 45 years. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, the Daughters of Isabella and the Catholic Women of St. Peter's.
Survivors include her husband, Alois Huber, Beaver Dam; children, Carl J. (Carol) Huber, Allentown, Pa., Walter (Wilma) Huber, Orlando, Fla., and Mary (James) Barstow, Beaver Dam; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ida Wyss, New Glarus; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Karl and Max Blattner; and two sisters, Martha Grossniklauss and Helen Blattner.
