Fred R. Sengele
Fred R. Sengele, 61, of 506 E. Mill St., Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. John Breitwisch will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
Mr. Sengele was born on July 27, 1939, in France, the son of Martin and Florence (Oelstrom) Sengele. He was married
on May 3, 1969, to Bonnie Beers, at Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
Mr. Sengele was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. He was employed as a microbiologist with Consultant Physician and Pathologists, Beaver Dam.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Sengele Beaver Dam; two daughters, Sherry (Mark) Fulton, Greenville, Ohio, and Renee Sengele, Madison; two sons, Steven Sengele, Chicago, and Sean Sengele, Beaver Dam; three brothers, John (MaryAnn) Sengele, Kansas City, Mo., Richard (Celina) Sengele Milwaukee, and Robert (Janice) Sengele Houston; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 2, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Patricia J. Berk
HORICON - Patricia "Penny" Jean Penington Berk, 74, of Horicon, died on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at her home, after fighting cancer for 12 years.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
Mrs. Berk was born on Jan. 24, 1926, in Industry, Ill., the daughter of Ferris W. and Eva M. (Burnham) Penington. She was married
in 1952, to Martin A. Berk, in Rock Island, Ill.
Mrs. Berk was a 1944 graduate of Adair Illinois High School. She joined the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps at the Moline Illinois Public Hospital School of Nursing. In 1974, she graduated as an RN. In 1950 she graduated as one of two members of the first X-ray technicians class from Moline Public Hospital.
She moved with her family to Horicon in 1963. She was a board member and served in various offices of the former Mental Health Association in Dodge County. In 1979, while serving on the Mental Health board, she was instrumental in organizing and starting the Daybreak Group home in Horicon, was a member of the Daybreak board since its inception and had served as president, vice president, treasurer and secretary of the board until her death. She was a den mother when her sons were in Cub Scouts, a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Horicon, since moving to Horicon in 1963. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the Ladies Guild, a past member of the Altar Guild and the LWML. She enjoyed attending Bible study.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Martin A. Berk, Horicon; four children, Tamara S. (Jan) Karlstrand, Cottage Grove, Minn., John N. Berk, Mayville, Marcia K. Steffen, Orange Park, Fla., and Robert K. Berk, Seal Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren, Erik Steffen, and Allison, Peter and Thomas Karlstrand; three sisters, Margaret (Cecil) Baylor, Lima, Ohio, Marge (Donovan) Herndon, Wickenburg, Ariz., and Norma (Kermit) Danner, Macomb, Ill.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ferris and Eva Penington; and two brothers, Lt. Col. Richard W. Penington, and Roland W. Penington.
Memorials may be made to either Hillside Hospice Care, The American Cancer Society, The National Cancer Research Institute, St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Horicon, or the charity of one's choice.

Rose M. Brummel
TIMONIUM, MD. - Rose Marie Skalitzky Brummel, 60, of Timonium, Md. died on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Baltimore, resulting from complications of illness suffered during 1998.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m., at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus. The Rev. Bruce Hennington will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Waterloo.
Mrs. Brummel was born on April 25, 1940, in the town of Portland, the daughter of Joseph Sr. and Bernadine (Haberman) Skalitzky. She was married
on Oct. 25, 1969, to Eugene R. Brummel at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus.
Mrs. Brummel graduated from St. Joseph's School in Waterloo in 1954, Columbus High School in 1958 and Edgewood College in Madison in 1962. She was a teacher in the Madison public school system in 1962-63, and at St. Raphael's Catholic School in 1963-69. She lived and worked in several Eastern states with her husband who was a federal appraiser.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Brummel, Timonium, Md.; four children, Max, Benjamin, Rachel and Peter, all of Timonium, Md.; mother, Bernadine (Marv Kroneman) Skalitzky, Columbus; mother-in-law, Marie Brummel, Madison; five sisters, Joan Graf, Kathleen (Jerry) Andler, and Ruth Skalitzky, all of Columbus, Bel (Jack) Guinta, Marshall, Anna (Chris) Kopmeier, Dodgeville; six brothers, Ronald Skalitzky, Joseph Jr. (Mitzi) Skalitzky, Larry (Emily) Skalitzky, and Michael (Tierney) Skalitzky, all of Columbus, Gordon (Fern) Skalitzky, Waterloo, and Neil Skalitzky, Nashville, Tenn.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Skalitzky Sr.; and father-in-law, Ralph Brummel.

Margaret R. Shipman
WAUPUN - Margaret "Peggy" Rose Shipman, 41, of Waupun, died on Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at UW-Hospital, Madison.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 5 p.m., at the Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home, Fox Lake. The Rev. Jeffery Kasper will officiate. Cremation will follow.
Mrs. Shipman was born on Jan. 11, 1959, in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of George and Marrietta (Schelly) Putnam. She was married
on Nov. 1, 1973, to Robert Allen Shipman Sr., in Canton, Mo.
Mrs. Shipman lived in various areas of the United States during her childhood until making Kenosha her home. For the past 11 years she lived in Waupun. She was employed as a CNA at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, and with Ripon Foods as a packager.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Shipman Sr., Waupun; two sons, Robert Shipman Jr., Madison, and Scott Shipman, at home; one grandson; her parents; two brothers; four sisters; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother.

Geneva Graham
CAMBRIA - Geneva "Jean" Graham, 65, of 305 Towyn St., Cambria, died on Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Columbus Community Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Friday Sept. 1, at 11 a.m., at the Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home, Cambria. The Rev. C. Keith Epps will officiate. Burial will be in Cambria cemetery.
Mrs. Graham was born on Feb. 23, 1935, in Ontario, the daughter of William and Minnie (Collins) Greisen. She was married
on March 26, 1952, to William A. Graham, in Fox Lake.
Mrs. Graham moved to this area in the 1950s for employment. She held various jobs of general labor, from painting to wall-papering.
Survivors include one son, Robert (friend Mary), Graham, Portage; one daughter, Georgia (Donald) White, Cambria; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Ruth Thompson, Camp Douglas; Myrta Finley, Huntington, W.V., Eva Clark, Corsicana, Texas, Christina, Ill., and Bonnie Greisen, Montello; three brothers, Art Greisen, Mauston, William Greisen, Columbus, and Paul Greisen, Camp Douglas; one sister-in-law, Margaret Hughes, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William, on April 20, 1987; three sisters, Margaret Greisen, Cecilia Breese and Mary Parr.

Evelyn M. Klebs
MAYVILLE - Evelyn M. Klebs, 80, formerly of 32 N. Main St., Mayville, died on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at Beaver Dam Care Center.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m., at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville. The Rev. Edward Blonski will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery, Mayville.
Mrs. Klebs was born on Dec. 31, 1919, in Mayville the daughter of Gerhard and Minnie (Oestreich) Wolter. She was married
on May 18, 1946, to Emil Klebs, in Mayville.
Mrs. Klebs was employed at Purity Cheese Company. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville.
Survivors include one son, Ronald (Peggy) Klebs, Mayville; one brother, Marvin Wolter, Mayville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and one sister-in-law.
Jack C. Hall
WAUPUN - Jack C. Hall, 71, of Waupun, died on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at his home.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Michael Bausch will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery.
Mr. Hall was born on May 6, 1929, in Waukesha, the son of Royal and Emily (Cariff) Hall. He was married
on April 23, 1973, to Nancy Rompre, in Green Lake.
Mr. Hall was a 1947 graduate of Green Lake High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He drove truck for Ripon Foods and later Badger Mining in Fairwater. Jack enjoyed ice boating, sailing and fishing and many activities in Green Lake. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hall, Waupun; two sons, Jack Hall Jr., Ripon, and Jeff (Lisa) Hall, Randolph; three step-sons, Mike (Chris) Rompre, Randolph, Tom Rompre, Waupun, and Jim (Doreen) Rompre, Beaver Dam; one step-daughter, Patty Tappendorf; three grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Adeline U. Gunst
MAYVILLE - Adeline U. Gunst, 95, of 305 Clark St., Mayville, formerly of W914 Buchanan Road, Hartford, died on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at Mayville Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m., at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Huilsburg. The Rev. Willard A. Marquardt will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran cemetery, Huilsburg.
Mrs. Gunst was born on Jan. 13, 1905, in the town of Herman, the daughter of John and Emma (Retzlaff) Zirbel. She was married
on April 23, 1932, to Walter Gunst, in the town of Herman.
Mrs. Gunst farmed with her husband in the town of Herman. She was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Huilsburg, and the Trinity Ladies Society.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy (James E.) Dorst, Mayville; two sons, Ken E. (LaVerne) Schulz, Iron Ridge, and Leland (Elaine) Gunst, Hartford; one sister, Gertrude (Wilmer) Kuhnke, Twin Lake; one brother, Anfons (Hertha) Zirbel, Hartford; one sister-in-law, Ida Gunst, Milwaukee; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother; her husband, Walter, in 1962; two sisters, Marcella Jens and Linda Nehn; and one grandson, David Schulz.

Olga Soblewski
MILWAUKEE - Olga Soblewski, 74, of Milwaukee, died on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 9:15 a.m., at Schaff Funeral Home, 5920 W. Lincoln Ave., Milwaukee, with a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Raphael the Arche Angel, 2059 S. 33rd St., Milwaukee. Burial will be in St. Adalbert's cemetery.
Mrs. Soblewski was born in Poland. She was married
to Zenon Soblewski in Germany.
Survivors include three sons, Tony (Molly) Soblewski, Burnett, Joe (Linda) Soblewski, and Ed Soblewski; five daughters, Mary (Clayton) Barnhart, Jenny Sanfelippo, Anna Carter, Chris (Charlie) Schneider, and Helen Nall; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Hanya, Kiev, Poland; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zenon.

Raymond Chavez, 65
CHICAGO/RANDOLPH - Raymond Chavez, 65, of Chicago, formerly of Randolph, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 10:30 a.m., at the Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home, Fox Lake. The Rev. Michael Wild will officiate. Burial will be in Annunciation Parish cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Chavez; three daughters, Roxanne Botello, Linda (Randy) Johnston, and Lynn Chavez, all of Chicago; one son, Darrell Chavez, Chicago; four grandchildren; two brothers, Peter Chavez, Chicago, and Robert (Anita) Chavez, Rockford, Ill.; seven sisters, Lupe, Margaret and Linda, all of Texas, Peggy, Blanca and Pat, all of Sheboygan, and Terry, Chicago; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie and Lawrence.
