Margaret L. Arndt
Margaret L. "Peggy" Arndt, a resident of Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam, formerly of 407 Pleasant St., Beaver Dam, died on Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Hillside Manor.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m., at the St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Mark Lindner will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Arndt was born on Jan. 1, 1919, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Josef and Anna (Bjalobok) Evans. She was married on Nov. 13, 1943, to Eldon Arndt in Dillon County, S.C.

Mrs. Arndt was a resident of Beaver Dam since 1946. She was employed at the Monarch Range Co., Beaver Dam, the Wisconsin Cheeseman, Sun Prairie, and Green Giant Co., Beaver Dam, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (Harold) Miller, Cross Plains; two sons, Jack (Bonnie) Arndt, and Ron Arndt, both of Beaver Dam; five grandsons; one sister, Ann Rubilino, Coroapolis, Pa.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon, in 1961; three brothers, Joseph, George, and Evans; and three sisters, Mary Savatt, Helen Gallick, and Dorothy Manzer.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. until the time of service, at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Memorials may be made to the St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church 125th anniversary and missionary funds, and the American Cancer Society.

The Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, is serving the family.

Isabel J. Riopelle
MELBOURNE, FLA. - Isabel J. "Jeff" Riopelle, 82, of Melbourne, Fla., formerly of Madison, died on Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Wuesthoff-Brevard Hospice, Melbourne, Fla.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Dennis Klemme will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Riopelle was born on Oct. 16, 1917, in Cleveland, the daughter of James and Mae (O'Fury) Dorrington. She was married on Sept. 24, 1945, to Armand Riopelle in Oberlin, Kan.

Mrs. Riopelle was a resident of the Madison area for 26 years before moving to Florida.

Survivors include her husband, Armand Riopelle, Melbourne, Fla.; three sisters-in-law, Elaine Paul, Tomah, Beatrice (Dave) Youker, Naples, Fla., and Lois Riopelle, Menomonee Falls; two brothers-in-law, Rheo (Mary Alice) Riopelle, Appleton, and Arthur (Mary Jane) Riopelle, Baton Rouge, La.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Memorials may be made to the Wuesthoff-Brevard Hospice, Melbourne, Fla., or the American Cancer Society.

Janice J. LeBeau
Janice J. LeBeau, 47, of W8851 Niblick Road, Beaver Dam, died on Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at University Hospital, Madison.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m., at First Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Julie Krahn will officiate.

Mrs. LeBeau was born on July 26, 1953, in Beloit, the daughter of Orville and Joye (Damon) Green. She was married on Jan. 20, 1973, to Craig LeBeau in Milton.

Mrs. LeBeau was a resident of Beaver Dam since 1981. She was employed with Woolco, Copps and Herberger's stores, and then co-owned the Mother-To-Be maternity shop from 1989 to 1991. After that she worked as a real estate agent at Century 21, Beaver Dam, the Dodge Central Credit Union, and most recently was the branch administrator at the Edwards Jones office, Mayville.

She was a past worthy adviser of Rainbow for Girls, Beloit, and the past worthy matron of Phoenix Chapter No. 215 O.E.S., Beloit. She was active in the Beaver Dam School District, serving as past president and housing coordinator of AFS, and was a charter member and treasurer of the Beaver Dam Booster Club for 12 years. She was also involved in the Marais Players of Mayville, and served as the secretary of the state of Wisconsin Amateur Softball Association for five years, and as the commissioner of little league baseball for four years.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, the New Spirit singing group, was active in the youth ministry programs of the church, including the Sunday School Ministry, the Youth Council, and served as coordinator for the ELCA Youth Gathering in Atlanta.

Survivors include her husband, Craig LeBeau, Beaver Dam; her children, Chad (Debbie) LeBeau, Beaver Dam, and Mindy LeBeau, Waukesha; her mother, Joye Green, Brooksville, Fla.; two nephews, Scott Green, and Tim Green, both of Alexandria, Va.; her AFS daughter, Elena Albani, Lohne, Germany; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Green, in October 1996; and two brothers, Jerry Green, in 1994, and Douglas Green, in 1950.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 4 p.m. until the time of service, at First Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam,

Maxine A. Mock
PLYMOUTH - Maxine A. Mock, 84, formerly of Caroline St., Plymouth, died on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, Sheboygan, where she had been a resident for the past two and one half years.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m., at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Thomas Burton will officiate. Burial will be in Plymouth Woodlawn cemetery.

Mrs. Mock was born on March 31, 1916, near Mayville, the daughter of Edgar and Frieda (Pankow) Krause. She was married in 1958, to Clarence Mock in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Mrs. Mock attended school in Mayville. She worked in Mayville and Chicago until 1957, when she moved to Florida. She moved to Plymouth in 1983. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Plymouth.

Survivors include one sister, Lucille Foelske, Plymouth; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in 1982; and one brother, George Krause.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 5 p.m. until the time of service, at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, in Maxine's name.

Philip G. Gearing
PHOENIX, ARIZ. - Philip G. Gearing, age 82, formerly of Beaver Dam, died Sept. 13, 2000, at his home at 1518 W. Seldon Lane, Phoenix, AZ. 85021.

Burial with full military honors was on Sept. 18, 2000, in the National Memorial cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.

He was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Jackson County. He was married July 16, 1943, to Lucille Coultas of Fox Lake.

Mr. Gearing lived in Beaver Dam and was the owner of Gearing Motors, then the Gearing Distributing Co. selling Wynn's products, Forney welders and pressure washers. In 1969, he moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and managed a plumbing and electrical wholesale warehouse. In 1975, he retired in Phoenix.

Mr. Gearing was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 72, Order of the Eastern Star No. 144, Rotary Club, and the El Zaribah Shriners. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, from 1942 to 1945. He was a former member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Gearing, Phoenix; one daughter, Barbara (Dan) Kulka, Beaver Dam; two sons, Tom (Jan) Gearing, West Bend, and Greg (Andrea) Gearing, Glendale, Ariz.; two brothers, Sidney Gearing, Alma Center, and James (Pat) Gearing, Hatfield; one sister, Margaret (Russell) Schroeder, Alma Center; five grandchildren, Brad (Holly) Kulka, Erin (Clint) Wernimont, Justin and Brandon Gearing, and Kristina Ott; one great-granddaughter, Ashley Kulka; nieces nephews, relatives and friends.

Kathleen Van Grinsven
CRANDON - Kathleen "Kay" Van Grinsven, 56, of Crandon, died on Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. The Rev. Jack Mullarkey will officiate.

Mrs. Van Grinsven was born on Feb. 19, 1944, in Kaukauna, the daughter of Al and Katherine (Hammen) Hartzheim. She was married to Jim Van Grinsven.

Mrs. Van Grinsven enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, needlepoint, traveling, snowmobiling and the outdoors. She was a 1962 graduate of Kaukauna High School and attended the University of Oshkosh. She went on to work with Marsh Moppets and CESA in the Horicon School system for over 20 years.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Jim Van Grinsven, Crandon; two daughters, Kim Marie (Todd) Spittel, and Jill Ann (David) Braun, both of Horicon; one grandson, "B.J."; one brother, Charles (Kathy) Hartzheim, Fremont; two sisters, Marge Hill, Madison, and Janet Purdue, Montreal, Quebec, Canada; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call on Monday, Sept. 25, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna.

Memorials may be made in Kathleen's name for Cancer Research.

Hannah M. Hansell

COLUMBUS - Hannah Mae Hansell, 85, of 633 W. James St., Columbus, died on Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at her home.

There will be no service. Burial will be in Grand View cemetery, West Lafayette, Ind.

Mrs. Hansell was born on May 29, 1915, in St. Paul, Ind., the daughter of Merritt and Maude (Tevis) Copeland. She was married on June 15, 1938, to Dan Hansell in West Lafayette, Ind.

Mrs. Hansell was a Ball State graduate. She then taught in New Castle, Ind. She lived in Hazelhurst for 22 years before moving to Columbus in 1996.

Survivors include two sons, Lt. Col. (retired U.S. Air Force), Roy (Barbara) Hansell, Westford, Maine, and Dr. Charles (Ginger) Hansell, Columbus; six grandchildren, Michelle Schwenn; Jennifer (Paul) Hansell Stanchfield, Julie Hansell; Steve Hansell, Duane Hansell, and Kristine Hansell; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorials memorials may be made to Columbus Community Hospital.

Cora A. Voy
HORICON - Cora A. Voy, 88, of 819 Maple St., Horicon, died on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at her home.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon. The Rev. Daniel Seehafer will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Horicon.

Mrs. Voy was born on May 30, 1912, in Horicon, the daughter of William F. and Hilda (Hosig) Weber. She was married on June 8, 1935, to Bernhard Voy at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Voy was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon, and a former guild member of the church.

Survivors include her husband, Bernhard Voy, Horicon; three sons, Dennis (Nancy) Voy, Maquoketa, Iowa, Gerald (Betty) Voy, Horicon, and Charles Voy, Milwaukee; two sisters, Esther Schaefer, Mayville, and Lorraine (Merlin) Johns, Horicon; one brother, Delmar (Florence) Weber, Horicon; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Clifford and Raymond.

Friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon.

Charles A. Anderson, 83
Charles "Charlie" A. Anderson, 83, formerly of Columbus, died on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Beaver Dam Care Center.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Sept. 25, at noon, at Olivet Congregational United Church of Christ, Columbus. The Rev. Denise Cole will officiate. Burial will be in St. Jerome cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born on July 16, 1917, in Columbus, the son of Alvin and Clara (Klug) Anderson. He was married on Oct. 22, 1939, to Catherine Meyer in Columbus.

Mr. Anderson was a lifelong Columbus resident. He was owner and operator of the former Anderson Electric, Columbus, for many years. He was an active member of the Olivet Congregational United Church of Christ, Columbus, as well as serving as deacon. He was also a member of the Columbus area Senior Citizens Club

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Anderson, Beaver Dam; two daughters, Kathleen (Russell) Frey, Oconomowoc, and Judy (James) Carper, Tucson, Ariz.; one son, Alvin Anderson, Milwaukee; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and William; and one sister, Helen Quisling.

Friends may call on Monday, Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. until the time of service, at Olivet Congregational United Church of Christ, Columbus.

The Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus, is serving the family.
