COLUMBUS - Hildegard H. Boese, 91, of Columbus, died on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at Columbus Community Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 24, at 2:30 p.m., at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Columbus. The Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, Columbus.

Mrs. Boese was born on Dec. 20, 1908, in Albee, S.D., Adams County, the daughter of Fredrick and Lydia (Meyer) Kusrow. She was married on Sept. 24, 1929, to Walter Boese in Columbus.

Mrs. Boese was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Columbus, and a life long Columbus area resident.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Boese, Columbus; one daughter, Lorraine (Darrell) Blank, Madison; one son, Roger (Janice) Boese, Cottage Grove; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-granddaughters, three sisters, Alice Peterson, Pewaukee, Anita Monthie, Luetta (Harold) Salzwedel, both of Columbus; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Foster; two granddaughters, Diane and Dawn Boese; one sister, Adeline Dahnert; and one brother, Arthur Kusrow.

Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 24, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Columbus.

Memorials may be made to Zion Ev. Lutheran Church Columbus.

Isabella M. Bischoff
HORICON - Isabella M. Bischoff, 92, of 525 N. Hubbard, Horicon, died on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at her home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m., at St. Malachy Parish Center, Horicon. The Rev. Eugene Kinney will officiate. Burial will be in St. Malachy cemetery, Horicon.

Mrs. Bischoff was born on March 3, 1908, in Iron Ridge, the daughter of Hubert and Elizabeth (Rohlinger) Weidig. She was married on Sept. 24, 1926, to Ervin Bischoff in Woodland.

Mrs. Bischoff was a lifelong resident of the Horicon area. She was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church Horicon, the Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her children, Irving "Bud" (Elaine) Bischoff, and Violet Spittel, both of Horicon, and Grace (Darrel) Gritzmacher, Burnett; one daughter-in-law, Linda (Gordon) Cook, Horicon; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, in 1992; one son, Don Bischoff; one son-in-law, Leslie Spittel; three sisters, Helen, Marie and Eva; and one brother, Frank Weidig.

Friends may call on Monday, Nov. 27, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at St. Malachy Parish Center, Horicon.

BRANDON - Erna M. Raubem, 94, formerly of the Brandon area, died on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at the Continental Manor, Randolph.

WAUPUN - Larry Dummer, a resident of Fond du Lac County Health Center, formerly of Waupun, died on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at the center.

Catherine J. Grocker
Catherine J. Grocker, 86, of 123 W. Water St., Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at Meriter Hospital, Madison.

Valborg Bohn
COLUMBUS- Valborg Bohn, 83, of Columbus, died on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at the Columbus Center.

The funeral service is pending with the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus.

Irene Hammer
Irene Hammer, 88, of 115 E. Mill St., Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m., at St. Michael Catholic Church Beaver Dam. The Rev. Michael Hammer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Hammer was born on Dec. 22, 1911, in the town of Westford, Dodge County, the daughter of John and Martha (Fromholz) Sadowski. She was married on June 24, 1939, to Norbert Hammer in Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Hammer was a lifelong resident of the Beaver Dam area. She was a longtime employee of St. Vincent De Paul in Beaver Dam. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, the Apostolate of Suffering, the Rosary Society, the Good Samaritan Guild and the Sacred Heart League.

Survivors include her children, Mary Hammer, Beaver Dam, Anthony (Mary Beth) Hammer, Racine, Fr. Michael Hammer, Milwaukee, and Charles (Gale) Hammer, Beaver Dam; six grandchildren, Victor (Sara) Hammer, Heidi Hammer, Tonya (Tim) Baumstark, Micah Hammer, Nicholas Hammer and Tara Hammer; one sister, Leona Bedker, Juneau; two sisters-in-law, Corinne Hammer, and Helen Hughes, both of Beaver Dam; one brother-in-law, Jim (Beverly) Hammer, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norbert Hammer; two brothers, Clarence and Clifford Sadowski; and one sister, Marcella Sadowski.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 3 p.m. until the time of service, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, or to the Catholic AIDS Ministry, c/o St. John Cathedral, 802 N. Jackson St., Milwaukee, WI, 53202.

Nona J. High
FOND DU LAC - Nona J. High, 90, of 314 S. Marr St., Fond du Lac, died on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, where she was a resident.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m., at Mach Funeral Chapel, Fond du Lac. The Rev. Stanley Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in Estabrooks cemetery.

Mrs. High was born on June 13, 1910, in Cambria, the daughter of William J. and Anna B. (Berger) Owen. She was married on Dec. 17, 1942, to Clyde B. High in Baraboo, in a double wedding with her sister Ora Brignone.

Mrs. High graduated with honors in 1928 from Cambria High School where she was active in all fields of music. She graduated with degrees in music and social studies in 1935 from Lawrence Conservatory of Music. She was a member of Delta Omicron Sorority. Following college, she taught music in the Argyle public school system where she met her future husband, a fellow teacher. Following her marriage, she spent two years in Alabama, while her husband served in the U.S. Army.

Mrs. High returned to Fond du Lac and taught private piano and voice lessons in her home. She directed the First Presbyterian Church Choir for a number of years and also taught band and chorus music in the Cambria-Friesland School district for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She was well respected by friends and neighbors and dearly loved by her family.

Survivors include one sister, Ora Brignone, Fond du Lac; three nieces, Joy A. Mutzelburg, and Jean R. Brignone, both of Fond du Lac, and Judy A. Boomsma Cambria; one nephew, Andrew S. Brignone, Las Vegas, Nev.; five grand-nephews, Kenneth Mutzelburg, St. Charles, Mo., Terry Boomsma, Beaver Dam, Kevin Boomsma, and Steve Boomsma, both of Cambria, and Greg Boomsma, Reno, Nev.; relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde, on Dec. 18, 1964; three sisters, Orma Owen, Myrna Whitmore and Neva Owen; and one grand-nephew, Mark Mutzelburg.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from noon until the time of service, at Mach Funeral Chapel, Fond du Lac.

Memorials may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, or the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.

Chester F. Hansen
FOND DU LAC - Chester F. Hansen, 86, a resident of Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Fond du Lac, died on Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at the nursing home.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 10:30 a.m., at Pella Lutheran Church, Waupun. The Rev. Ken Spence will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m., in Arlington cemetery, Milwaukee.

Mr. Hansen was born on Feb. 24, 1914, in Milwaukee, the son of Henry and Alma (Richeim) Hansen. He was married on June 11, 1938, to Evelyn Anderson in Crandon.

Mr. Hansen and his wife moved to Milwaukee in the early 1950s, where he was employed by Allis Chalmers and later by Miller Brewing Company, from which he retired in 1977. The couple moved to Waupun 1993. He was a member of Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, of which he had been a very active member.

Survivors include one son, Peter (Kay) Hansen, Waupun; three daughters, Nancy Kahelski, Midlothian, Va., Marilyn (Ken) Werner, Milwaukee, and Eileen (Doug) Yahnka, Oconto Falls; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; and one brother.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, at Pella Lutheran Church, Waupun.

Mary P. Jahnke-Hansen
COLUMBUS - Mary Patrice Jahnke-Hansen, 43, of 235 Sturges St., Columbus, died on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at her home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m., at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus. The Rev. Bruce Hennington will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, Columbus.

Mrs. Jahnke-Hansen was born on Jan. 8, 1957, in Colorado Springs, Colo., the daughter of Dr. Earl and Shirley (Klink) Jahnke. She was married on Oct. 20, 1984, to Norman Hansen III in Columbus.

Mrs. Jahnke-Hansen was a 1975 graduate of Columbus High School. She attended UW-Madison and was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. She was a 1980 graduate of Mount Mary College, with a degree in occupational therapy, then was employed by St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus, where she played the organ for over 25 years. She was active in Home and School and served as a volunteer for many parish and school activities.

Survivors include her husband, Norman Hansen III, Columbus; three children, Nicholas, Mary Katherine and Margaret, all at home; her mother, Shirley Jahnke, Columbus; five brothers, Nicholas (Carol) Jahnke, Alexandria, Va., Frederick (Gail) Jahnke, Madison. Peter (Yvonne) Jahnke, Oconomowoc, Paul (Sue) Jahnke, Columbus, and Mark (Deborah) Jahnke, Janesville; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Earl Jahnke.

Friends may call on Monday, Nov. 27, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus. A rosary service will be held at 4:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Jerome Church organ fund.

Frank Burie Sr.
RANDOLPH - Frank Burie Sr., 97, of 502 High St., Randolph, died on Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Continental Manor, Randolph.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m., at Annunciation Catholic Parish, Fox Lake. The Rev. Michael L. Wild will officiate. Burial will be in Annunciation Parish cemetery, Randolph.

Mr. Burie was born on March 6, 1903, in Germany, the son of Frank and Katherine (Schaffer) Burie. He was married to Elizabeth Merscdorf. He was married to Luella Young. He was married to Myrtle Gundel.

Mr. Burie came to the United States at the age of three. He farmed in the area, and was formerly employed with Rockwell of Randolph as a foreman for several years. He owned and operated a family restaurant in Randolph and was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Parish, Randolph.

Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Dover, Waterloo, and Rosemary (Fred) Hicks, Lodi, Calif.; six sons, Frank (Lena) Burie Jr., Dayton Beach, Fla., Ed (Gerry) Kerwell, Appleton, Michael (Sandy) Burie, Stougton, John Burie, Randolph, Daniel (Gae) Burie, Beaver Dam, William (Karen) Burie, Derry, N.H.; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three sisters, Barbara Stein, Texas; Verona Meyer, Beaver Dam, and Katherine (Al) Goetz, Milwaukee; one brother, Rudolph Burie, Michigan; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his three wives, Elizabeth, Luella and Myrtle; one son, Lloyd; three brothers, Michael, John and Joe; and three sisters, Mary, Anna and Anne.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, at the Annunciation Catholic Parish, Fox Lake.

The Randolph Community Funeral Home, Randolph, is serving the family.

Helen H. Hundley
Helen H. Hundley, 86, a resident of Beaver Dam Care Center, died on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at the center.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. David Bode will officiate. Burial will be in Hampden cemetery, town of Hampden.

Mrs. Hundley was born on Sept. 13, 1914, in Fall River, the daughter of Otto and Hattie (Oehlert) Miller. She was married on Oct. 19, 1935, to Marson Lange. She was married on Aug. 11, 1973, to Theron Hundley.

Mrs. Hundley was a lifelong area resident and a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Survivors include one daughter, Audrey (LaVern) Schwandt, Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marson Lange, on Sept. 1, 1972; her second husband, Theron Hundley, on Dec. 31, 1986; four brothers; and two sisters.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus, and on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
