Jason C. Richter
WAUPUN Jason C. Richter, 24, of 16 S. State St., Waupun, died on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at his home.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 22, at 6:30 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Rae Ann Bloomquist will officiate.

Mr. Richter was born on March 12, 1976, in Beaver Dam, the son of Steven and Kitty (Brabbit) Richter.

Mr. Richter was a 1994 graduate of Waupun High School. He was employed at Northstar Print Group, Watertown, where he worked until July of 1999, when he had to leave for health reasons. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Survivors include his mother, Kitty Richter, Waupun; his father, Steven Richter, Fox Lake; three brothers, Chad (Nikki) Richter, and Dustin Richter, both of Waupun, and Michael Bastein; one sister, Jenny Bastein, Toledo, Ohio; one nephew, Treylen Richter, Waupun; his paternal grandfather, Donald Richter, Fox Lake; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother.

Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 22, from 4 p.m. until the time of service, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Thurman F. Denson
RANDOLPH - Thurman F. Denson, 88, of 216 Grove St., Randolph, died on Friday, Dec, 22, 2000, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Madison.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 11 a.m., at Annunciation Catholic Parish, Fox Lake. The Rev. Michael L. Wild will officiate. Burial will be in Annunciation cemetery.

Mr. Denson was born on April 20, 1912, in Arena, the son of James and Ruth (Winch) Denson. He was married on Feb. 23, 1936, to Cecile Mary Ven Roy.

Mr. Denson's career included years of truck driving, and in 1948, he bought Denson Feed Mill in South Randolph. In 1973, he sold the business and focused on his home and garden. He was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Parish, Randolph. He will be sadly missed and mourned by family and friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Graff, Vernon Hills, Ill.; four sons, Dr. Wil (Judy) Denson, Eau Claire, Russell (Mary) Denson, Dalton, Gerald (Kristine) Denson, Sun Prairie, and Steven Denson, Randolph; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Daisy Poppy, St. George, Utah, and twin sister, Theo Vick, Madison; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and his dog "Buddy."

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile, in March of 1999; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and three brothers, Charles, Harry and Edward.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the Annunciation Parish, Fox Lake.
The Randolph Community Funeral Home, Randolph, is serving the family.

Viola T. Steger
THERESA - Viola T. Steger, 98, of W882 West Bend Road, Theresa, died on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 1 p.m., at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Theresa. The Rev. Charles Loehr will officiate. Burial will be in St. Theresa Memorial Gardens, Theresa.

Mrs. Steger was born on Aug. 26, 1902, in Theresa, the daughter of Anton and Barbara (Schmidt) Jaster. She was married on April 6, 1920, to John W. Steger in Theresa.

Mrs. Steger was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church Theresa, a member of St. Ann's Sodality, a former Daughter of Isabella and a member of the Good Samaritan Club.

Survivors include two sons, Vernon (Catherine) Steger, Theresa, and Elmer (Jeanette) Steger, Hot Springs, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1989; two sons, Robert and Earl; one sister, Hattie Miller; one brother, John Jaster; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service, at St. Theresa, Catholic Church, Theresa.

Marvin C. Wolter
MAYVILLE - Marvin C. Wolter, 78, of 338 Nelson Road, Mayville, died on Friday, Dec. 22, 2000.

A private family service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum Chapel at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. The Rev. Christal Bindrich will officiate. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Fond du Lac.

Mr. Wolter was born on Sept. 8, 1922, in Williamstown, the son of Gerhardt and Minnie (Oestreich) Wolter. He was married on Oct. 11, 1942, to Viola D. Toellner in Mayville.

Mr. Wolter was employed by Mayville Engineering Co., retiring in 1984. He also worked for Maysteel Corp., was employed as a bus driver, was a deputy for Dodge County and worked part-time at Silica Hardware, Fond du Lac. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Marlin (Dorothy) Wolter, and Lyle (Flora) Wolter, both of Mayville; four daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Cramer, Lanet (Willard) Kienast, and Nadine (Herb) Larson, all of Mayville, and Sharon (Ray) Schreier, Juneau; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola, in 1992; two brothers; and one sister.

There will be no visitation.

Robert H. Whitnall
WATERTOWN - Robert H. Whitnall, 82, of Watertown, formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Marquardt Memorial Manor.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 11 a.m., at the Pederson Funeral Home, Watertown. The Rev. Carol McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mr. Whitnall was born on Sept. 17, 1918, in Milwaukee, the son of Harold and Ida May (Roe) Whitnall. He was married on June 14, 1941, to Jeanne Dalton in Waukesha.

Mr. Whitnall was a 1937 graduate of Whitewater High School. He graduated from Whitewater State Teachers College in 1941, and from Marquette University in Milwaukee with a masters degree in educational administration in 1946.

From 1941 to 1944 he taught in Menomonee Falls and was principal at the Lannon School district. He was principal of Lyons High School in Clinton, Iowa for six years, and principal of Beaver Dam High School from 1952 to 1974. He was the superintendent of the schools in Stone Bank School district from 1974 to 1977.

Mr. Whitnall was past president of the Wisconsin Secondary Principals Association, a member of Southern Wisconsin Education Association, WIAA advisory committees, NCA Wisconsin State Committee, DPI and VOTEC committees. He had been a very active member of the Grace Presbyterian Church, Beaver Dam. He was active with the leadership of the Boy Scouts of America, a member and past president of the Beaver Dam Rotary Club and chairman of the American Legion Second District Oratorical Contest. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Watertown.

He loved his family and dedicated his life to others, the worth, dignity, and acceptance of each individual as an important part of society and the excellence in public education for every person.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Whitnall, Watertown; one daughter, Barbara (Ken Lennox) Whitnall, Grand Rapids, Mich.; one son, William Whitnall, Racine; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Beaver Dam High School scholarship endowment fund.

Lloyd E. Link
FALL RIVER - Lloyd E. Link, 64, of 321 N. Main St., Fall River, died on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Columbus Community Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus. Burial will be in the Fall River cemetery.

Mr. Link was born on Aug. 19, 1936, in Fountain Prairie, the son of Carl and Jenny (Dehnert) Link. He was married on Aug. 2, 1969, to Germaine Gilbertson in Valders.

Mr. Link was a lifelong area resident where he owned and operated an excavating service.

Survivors include his wife, Germaine Link, Fall River; one daughter, Linda Link, Fall River; one brother, Edgar (Kathy) Link, Columbus; one sister, Carol Kaiser, Pardeeville; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus.

Lucille J. Hyne
REDWOOD FALLS - Lucille J. Hyne, 85, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at the Sunwood Good Samaritan Home, Redwood Falls.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Hyne was born on May 31, 1915, in Westford township, the daughter of William and Stella (Schmidt) Frank. She was married on Sept. 2, 1939, to Clifford Hyne at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Hyne attended St. Peter's Catholic School and Beaver Dam High School. She was employed at the Weyenberg Shoe Factory for over 24 years, retiring in 1977. She and her husband moved to Redwood Falls in 1996. She was a member of the St. Catherine Catholic Church, Redwood Falls, and a past member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. She enjoyed reading, listening to country music, fishing, playing cards and board games with her family and friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Julie (Lonnie) Sutton, Redwood Falls; four grandchildren, Patrick and Kerri Sutton, Ramsey, and Jennifer and Daniel Beitz, Redwood Falls; one great-grandson, Jackson Sutton; one sister, Dorothy Amberson, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford, in 1989; and one brother.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m., and on Wednesday, Dec. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Ruth S. Marks
Ruth S. Marks, 76, of 113 E. Davis St., Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Leipsic cemetery.

Mrs. Marks was born on March 12, 1924, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Fred and Minnie (Reinhard) Stofflet. She was married on May 10, 1946, to Carl T. Marks in Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Marks was a lifelong resident of the Beaver Dam area, and a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. She worked at the Rogers Hotel, Beaver Dam, and at the Weyenberg Shoe Factory, retiring in 1983.

Survivors include two sons, Carl F. Marks, Beaver Dam, and Charles (Sue) Marks, Horicon; three grandchildren, Heather, Craig and Christopher Marks; one brother, Nelson (Eunice) Stofflet, Columbus; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl, in 1972; four sisters, Hazel Mars, Mabel Schulz, Eva Jacobs, and Elsie Stofflet; and two brothers, Barnie Stofflet and Erv Stofflet.

Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Josephine H. Vick
COLUMBUS - Josephine H. Vick, 78, of Columbus, died on Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Columbia County Heath Care Center.

The funeral was held on Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 11 a.m., at the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. John Hobbins officiated. Burial was in Hillside cemetery, Columbus.

Ms. Vick was born on June 12, 1922, in Viola, the daughter of Louis and Ida (Kypke) Vick.

Ms. Vick had been the manager of the A & W Drive In, was a school bus driver for Columbus Public Schools, had been a secretary for the Columbus Mills Feed Supply, started the Red Bud City Good Sammers Campers and was president, and a member of the Wisconsin Singles Campers. She worked for Dr. Reese Chiropractic Center, Columbus, for many years.

Survivors include four cousins, Henrietta Hopper, Laura Klein, Kenneth Kypke and W. Hohenstein relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends called on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus.

Cyril E. Belongie
OSHKOSH - Cyril E. "Cy" Belongie, 86, of Oshkosh, died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Oshkosh Medical and Rehabilitation.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Dec, 28, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 435 High St., Oshkosh. The Rev. Martin P. Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mr. Belongie was born on March 20, 1914, in Daggett, Mich., the son of Phillip and Rosalie (LaBlanc) Belongie. He was married on March 15, 1941 to Anne Kathryn Strazziniski at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rockford, Ill.

Mr. Belongie served his country in the U.S. Army from 1936 to 1945, and received the Bronze Star medal, European-African-Middle East Theatre ribbon, two Bronze Battle Stars and the Overseas service bar. He was a longtime member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where he was an usher and Holy Name Society member, and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He owned and operated the Hobart Agency, Oshkosh, until his retirement. He greatly enjoyed Chicago Cubs baseball, bird watching and visiting with his many friends, along with being active in local charities.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Belongie, Oshkosh; four sons, Philip (Patricia) Belongie, and David Belongie, both of Oshkosh, Raymond (Kathi) Belongie, Florida, and Michael (Jane) Belongie, Beaver Dam; three daughters, Annette (Jeremy) Lys, Berkeley, Calif., Yvonne (James) Osborn, Neenah, and Marie (Jeff) Belongie-Kemp; one sister, Eleanor (Bud) Toelkes, California; one brother, Eugene (Rosa) Belongie, California; eight grandchildren, Lynley Lys, Eion Lys, Scott (Diane) Belongie, Heather Belongie, Shaun (Stephanie) Belongie, Ryan Belongie, Eric (Jenny) Osborn, and Matthew Osborn; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Elysa Belongie; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cecile Belongie; and three brothers, Elmer, Raymond and Willard.

Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 28, from 9 a.m. until the time of service, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Oshkosh.

Memorials may be made in Cy's name to St. Peter's Catholic Church or Father Carr's Place To Be. The Seefeld Funeral Chapel, Oshkosh, is serving the family.
