LEANNA Gladys (Mrs. Francis), 78. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Road. Malcore Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., is assisting the family.

STEFFENS, Jon E., 25, Green Bay, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 10, 2002, as the result of an accident. He was born June 20, 1977, in Green Bay to Donald Steffens and the late Connie (Cohen) Steffens.

Jon attended Bay Port High School. He was employed by American Food Group as a machine maintenance mechanic for the past six years. Jon enjoyed archery and loved to ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spend time with his friends.

Survivors include his father, Don Steffens, village of Howard; a brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Keri Steffens, Suamico; a sister, Molly Steffens, village of Howard; his grandparents, Bernard and Joyce Cohen, Denmark; a nephew, Brock Steffens, Suamico; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie; his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Mabel Steffens.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Friends may also call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., village of Howard, from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. William Swichtenberg officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, village of Howard. A memorial fund has been established in his name.

GUNTLISBERGEN, Elizabeth M., 79, De Pere. Visitation 4-7 p.m. today at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St., De Pere, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 145 St. Joseph Drive, Oneida. Family prayer service 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Survivors include her husband, Walter; two sons, Arnold Guntlisbergen, John (Beth) Guntlisbergen; three daughters, Mary (Max) Behrendt, Jane (Gene) Meiser, Carol (Bob) Lenz; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

KALCIK, Viola "Vi", 92, Green Bay. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams St. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.

LEDVINA, Rose Marie, 82, Luxemburg, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 9, 2002, at a Green Bay hospital. She was born on Oct. 11, 1919, in Luxemburg to the late Charles and Angeline (Linzmeier) Kollross. She married James G. Ledvina on Oct. 4, 1938, at St. Mary's Church, Luxemburg. He preceded her in death May 25, 1979.

Rose was a member of the St. Joseph Rosary Society. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working in the garden. Rose is survived by her three sons, Dennis Ledvina, Green Bay; Ron (Sandie) Ledvina and Gary (Michelle DuChateau) Ledvina, all of Luxemburg; three grandchildren, Brent, Katie and Ryan Ledvina; two sisters, Betty Renier, Green Bay, and Geraldine (Gordon) Wishart, De Pere; two sisters-in-law, Joanne Kollross and Irene Ledvina, both of Luxemburg. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Kollross; three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Russ Renier, Ardeal Ledvina and Mayme (Alvin) Cherney. Friends may call at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph-St. John Site, Pilsen, from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. C. Terry LaCombe officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pilsen. McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, is assisting the family.

A special thank you to the staff at Parkview Manor Nursing Home for care given to Rose.

MECH, Charlotte, Green Bay. Charlotte was born July 6, 1905, in Sault St. Marie, Mich., to the late Herbert and Frances (Meyer) Rosevear. She moved to Ohio in 1913 and then to Green Bay, where she graduated from West High School in 1923. She returned to Tremont, Ohio, in 1924 and graduated from the Mary M. Hayes College of Nursing. She returned to Green Bay and worked at Bellin Hospital in the Obstetrics Unit. Charlotte then worked for the Green Bay Public Health Department and the Brown County Social Services, retiring in 1972. Charlotte married Byron G. Bartlett in 1930; he preceded her in death in 1941. She then married Henry W. Mech in 1969; he preceded her in death in 1969. Charlotte enjoyed traveling, camping in upper Michigan, reading, working on crossword puzzles and playing bridge.

Charlotte was a member of the Martha Washington Chapter of the Eastern Star Choir and a lifelong member of St. Paul Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Marion C. (Lloyd) Mande, Palm Harbor, Fla.; her son, Richard B. (Beverly) Bartlett, Michigamme, Mich.; stepchildren, Marvin (Ann) Mech, Milton (Margie) Mech; son-in-law, Jerry Buckman; grandchildren, Mark (Lynn) Mande, Ohio, Leslie J. Mande, Florida, Lizbeth J. (Mark) DiNunzio, Georgia, LeighAnn J. Bonelli, Indiana, Schawn C. (Timothy) Jubert, Sobieski, and Shannon C. (Betsy) Bartlett, Milwaukee; nine great grandchildren, Emily and Alex Mande, Brad and Brian DiNunzio, Heather and Brian Bonelli, Timothy Johnson, Rhionna Jubert and Madalyn Jubert; her sister, Frances, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepdaughter, Marilin Buckman; her sister, Marion Krugh, Ohio; and granddaughter, Theresa Marie Bartlett.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 9-11 a.m. Friday. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Barbara Ristow officiating. Burial in Fort Howard Memorial Park.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Arcadian Assisted Living Facility, the Parkview Nursing Home, and the Aurora BayCare Medical Center for their care and concern.

Survivors include his wife, Lydia; two daughters, Diane (Tom) Kohl, Green Bay, Linda (Don) Poikonen, Green Bay; two sons, Bill (Gloria) Lott, Oakley, Calif., Jim (Donna) Lott; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. ROESER, Estelle, 89, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002. Estelle was born on March 30, 1913, the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Mortell) Schroeder. She was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. On Oct. 6, 1936, Estelle married Arnold Roeser at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1992. Estelle was a lifelong resident of Green Bay. She enjoyed playing bridge and poker. Estelle played bridge at the YMCA, the Elks, St. Joseph Parish and at her home and the homes of her foursome group. After many years with the American Contract Bridge League, she reached the distinction of Golden Age Master in 1993.

Estelle liked golfing at Brown County Golf Course and enjoyed reading in her spare time. Estelle loved vacationing in Fish Creek for over 50 years. She will be sadly missed by her family.

Estelle is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Alice Roeser, Green Bay, John and Meribeth Roeser, Green Bay; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ron Campbell, Green Bay; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Mary Herson-Roeser, De Pere, Paul and Lori Roeser, Huntley, Ill., Sandra Roeser, Green Bay, Jason and Darcey Roeser, Brooklyn Park, Minn., Chris and Todd Bennett, De Pere, Shera and Rusty Paul, Green Bay, Bob and Sam Campbell, Little Suamico; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Cecelia Tennis and Genevieve Foeller. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Visitation will continue after 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at St. Joseph Parish, 1224 12th Ave. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Entombment at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Manor Care West for the care given to Estelle.

STOWE, Della (Mrs. Harley), 88, De Pere, died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 8, 2002, in a local hospital. The daughter of the late Stanley and Stella (Drewiski) Malewiski was born Nov. 24, 1913, in Glenmore. On Nov. 21, 1938, she married Harley Stowe at St. Joseph Rectory in De Pere. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1993. Della was active in many church and community activities over the years.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Connie Stowe, Waunakee; one daughter, Sally Crandall, De Pere; her grandchildren, T.J. and Tina Parins, Ted and Alicia Parins, and Kristin Stowe; seven great-grandchildren, Adara, Kia, Elliana, Arabella, Sawyer, Thomas III, and Rachel Parins; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Agnes Marie Malewiski; one sister, Margaret Hintz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harley; and her siblings, Verna Fruzen, Helen DeFrance, Ceil Van Dreel, Joe Malewiski, and Stella DeCleene.

Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St., De Pere, from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Parish prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with interment to follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, contributions to the Della and Harley Stowe West De Pere High School Scholarship Fund would be greatly appreciated.

The Stowe family extends a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Vincent Hospital for their exceptional level of service and caring.

Taylor, Milwaukee; his mother, Jewel Taylor, Austin, Texas; two brothers, Thaddeus Taylor and Frank Taylor, both of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Verlata Mc Claine, Phoenix, Ariz., Kathy Taylor, Austin, Texas.

TILKENS, Della (Chappelle) (Mrs. Pinky), 89, Green Bay. Visitation 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include two sons, Jim (Janet) Tilkens, White Lake, Tom (Jan) Tilkens, Cape Coral, Fla.; three daughters, Sister Barbara Tilkens, Eau Claire, Shirley (Tom) Lally, Suamico, Mary (Bob) Crittenden, Aurora, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ward Chappelle, Longview, Wash., Neil (Rita) Chappelle, Green Bay; two sisters, Ferna Mortenson, Green Bay, Bernice Greenlan, Green Bay.
